Selena was going to expand her vocabulary today! She told herself she would, and if she could, she was going to get a lollipop. If she didn’t, she would still get a lollipop. Seemed like a fair deal to her.
She opened the dictionary at the library and got up to the word 'A'. Yes, it was a major accomplishment. Proud, she closed the dictionary and skipped out of the library.
Reaching the common room she saw Emma. ”Emma, you would never believe what I did today,” Selena beamed, ”I read… one word in the dictionary!”

“What are you doing?” Aurora asked as she glared at her daughter.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Selena said innocently, adjusting the small cauldron that was covering everything but the smirk on her face.
“You have a cauldron… on your head,” Aurora said.
Selena rolled her eyes, though he mother couldn’t see. “Thanks for stating the obvious,” Selena said.
Aurora sighed, “Get that ridiculous thing off of your head.”
“I rather like it, I think I’ll keep it on,” Selena said as her mother left the room angrily.
Selena won this round, sucks for you mommy dear.

The character Katie belongs to Pureblood64
“But I don’t wanna go!” Selena complained as she was being pulled towards the classroom. “They have like… evil stuff there… that will… eat me!!” she continued.
Katie rolled her eyes and continued to pull Selena closer to the classroom. “It’ll be fun!”
“It’s muggle studies!!! They have weird thingys that can kill us!!” Selena continued to complain as she struggled to get away.
Sighing, Katie looked at Selena. “I’ll give you a lollipop if you go.”
Selena’s eyes widened and she started dragging Katie. “You’re walking way too slow Katie!”
Muggle studies, well, here came Sel and her candy.

60. Joke Mini-Challenge 1 - Christmas! Again, Emma belongs to Emms! ^^ “What did I get who?” Selena asked Emma as she started to unwrap her Christmas presents. “You know who!” Emma sighed.
Selena continued to tear open present after present. She picked one up, a little smirk on her face before she tossed it at Emma. “That one’s for you from you know who,” Selena chirped.
Emma’s face tinged pink and Selena watched as Emma unwrap the present.
Three seconds left. Boom!
And Emma’s hair poofed up at odd angles while Selena started to roll around the floor laughing. “Sel…” Emma said, glaring at Sel. “What? It was just a joke.”

92. Chocolate
Mini-Challenge 7 - Halloween!
Selena was skipping around from house to house. Halloween was always the best holiday… ever. Well, it would be better if she wasn’t with her wacko cousin Katrina.
“TRICK OR TREAT!” Selena beamed as she held out her pillowcase for the old lady to dump in chocolate bars and other yummy sweets.
“Why aren’t you cute, here’s an apple,” the woman said as she gave the apple to Selena and then gave a chocolate bar to Katrina.
Selena eyed the chocolate bar and tackled Katrina to the ground. “THAT’S MINE!”
Katrina was insane if she though it was her chocolate.

Mini-Challenge 8 - Snowman
Selena was clicking through the channels at her cousin’s home. Again.
“Hey Kat, do you have like… an animagus form?” Selena asked, still clicking away at the remote.
“Get off my couch, and no,” Katrina said, rolling her eyes and pushing the younger and much smaller girl off her couch.
Selena rolled over on the ground. “Do you know what my animagus would be?” Selena asked with a grin.
“Do I want to know?” Katrina asked.
“A snowman,” Selena said proudly, ignoring her cousin’s jab.
“You know that’s not an animal, right?” Katrina asked.
Selena sighed. Katrina was so ignorant.

14. Hogwarts, A History Emma belongs to Emms <3 “Look! Look!” Selena exclaimed as she continued to walk, balancing the book on her head.
Emma giggled but placed a more serious face on. “Sel, you’re supposed to be studying.”
Selena turned around and glanced at Emma. “I am, my brain is trying to suck all the information from the book.”
Emma tipped over the book from Selena’s head and it landed on Sel’s foot and causing Selena to stumble and fall. “Studying hurts more than reading this stupid book,” Selena sighed, placing the book under her head, “but this makes a surprisingly good pillow.”
“Which book?” “Hogwarts, a History.”

Selena looked at the kneazle and picked it up, disregarding the hissing he was making.
“Sammy, he’s better than that one,” she said smartly as she gestured at the kneazle Sammy was holding.
“No, this one is,” Sammy said as she held up her own kneazle.
“No, mine!” Selena sighed. “He’s obviously the best one!”
“How do you know that the kneazle is a he?” Sammy asked.
Selena looked at the kneazle and then looked back at Sammy’s kneazle.
“I don’t know, I just know,” Selena shrugged, “and my kneazle is still better.”
“Says who?”
“Says me!” Selena exclaimed. Duh.

Serene looked at Selena briefly then went back to her stuffed panda.

Mini-Challenge 3 - Second person
As you walk into Divination class, you can’t help but yawn. On the board you see the word ‘Oneiromancy’ written and underlined several times. To you, it seemed like just another big word, another boring lesson.
You see that the class is half asleep with pillows on their tables and remember that Oneiromancy was the interpretation of dreams.
Suddenly you sigh and wish that you remembered to bring your own pillow to class.
You’re then grateful for this class as you sit down, rest your head upon the pillow and fall fast asleep thinking this was the best class ever.

Mini-Challenge 8 - Snowman. Written for Jess and "TallPerson Sebastian" <3
Selena was working on her latest project and this time it had nothing to do with honey, paper mache or cake. It had to do with snow.
“What are you making?” Sebastian asked the younger Slytherin when he came up to her and stepped on the round ball.
“You stepped on me,” Selena exclaimed.
“No I didn’t, I stepped on the snowball,” he pointed out.

“Hoot, hoot,” Serene said as she flapped her ‘wings’ at Selena.
Selena shooed Serene away and frowned. “Serene, you’re not an owl.”
“Yes I am,” Serene insisted.
Selena rolled her eyes and wrote a quick little note. “Alright then, Owl, send this over to Katrina,” she said.
Serene flapped her wings, taking the note in her mouth before ‘flying’ away.
Katrina read the note aloud when it arrived. “Tell Serene to bugger off. And I want cookies.” Katrina rolled her eyes and walked over to Selena.

Well, since she hadn’t been able to do the whole honey thing for Emma. It was now time for plan B. Selena walked right up to Alex with a cake in hand or tray. Or whatever.

Selena sat alone at home, staring at the walls around her. She couldn’t take it much longer. Lack of sugar was making her feel quite depressed and lack of communication even more so. Yet she looked at the glimmering band on her finger and couldn’t help but smile. So maybe she felt miserable, but there were people who cared and that was enough for Selena.
“Miss Zabini-Riddle, your mother requests to see you immediately,” the house elf said.
Selena knew exactly why her mother wanted to see her and she dreaded it, slipping back into her depressed state once more.

Selena entered the dungeons of her father’s home.
“You wished to see me?” Selena asked.
Her father nodded and gave Selena a cold look that frightened her. “Yes, take a seat.”
She sat hesitantly and looked at him.

Selena nodded.
“Then you know what you must do.”
Tears threatened to fall. “Why?” she asked, her voice cracking.
“You know why,” he said. “You’re dismissed. Do what‘s right.”
Selena didn’t know why. She left knowing she couldn’t do it. The gleam of the ring confirmed it. The dungeons cast shadows as she left.

Dianna belongs to Dianna Malfoy.
Selena peeked from over the newspaper and then tilted her shades down. She was a spy today.
“Sel, what are you doing?” Dianna giggled.
“Finding your guy,” Selena said with major amounts of duh. They needed to find ten guys to compliment Di after all.
Dianna gave her a weird look and shook her head. “You’re so silly.”
“Shhh… I’m a spy…” Selena said using the newspaper to hide her before moving her head to the right and pushing her shades up.
Dianna decided to laugh out loud.
“Thanks Di, you blew our cover!” Sel said, throwing the newspaper down.

“What are you wearing?” Aurora asked her daughter.
Selena looked down at the plaid shirt she was wearing and the cowboy boots. “Uh… clothes?” she offered, rolling her eyes.
“You look like you just came out of the wild west, we have guests, change into something more appropriate,” Aurora said and as Selena opened her mouth to say something, Aurora cut her off. “It’s an order.”
Sel rolled her eyes and changed into a plaid skirt and blouse, same boots with an extra hat. She then skipped downstairs. “Hullo pardner!”
Her mother’s face turned red, she smirked. Don’t underestimate plaid.

Mini-Challenge 5 - Breaking the Fourth Wall
Selena walked throughout her home like she was amazing. Like everyone was attracted to her. Like she was a… veela.
She tossed her long brown hair over her shoulder, smiling a bit secretly at the imaginary cameras. She was amazing, she was pretty, she was the best thing that ever existed. She was an attention hogging veela.
"Wait. Jenn. What?"
What?
"You made me seem all girly in this…"
Oh right. I did. Let me fix that.
"Add some chocolate, alright?"

Selena then pounced on the cameras seeing a giant bar of chocolate.

Mini-Challenge 4 - April Fools . 'Tall Person' is Sebastian who belongs to Jess. :3
Selena saw Tall Person lying by the lake with his eyes closed. Smirking, she tiptoed over.
She took a quill from her bag and started to tickle his nose with it. She waited for the reaction. All she got was a nose twitch.
She continued to wave it under his nose. He shot straight up and sneezed. Selena’s cue to cry.
“Short person what are you doing?” he sighed.
“My owl just died,” she said crying.
“Oh, it’s alright,” he reassured.
“April Fools!” she smirked.
“But it’s not April first…” he said in confusion.

Selena was playing with the stone runes she had to make for class. She was ‘studying’, or that was what she was calling it.
“Selena, that spells cat!” Serene said excitedly as she pointed at the runes.
Selena shook her head. “No, that spells boring.”
Katrina sighed and shook her head. “No, that one’s fire and this one’s estate and that’s Tyr.”
“When did you get so smart?” Selena asked her elder cousin.
“Since I graduated Hogwarts and passed Ancient Runes.”
“You passed Ancient Runes?”
“Yeah, so why aren’t you studying?”

Mini-Challenge 9 - all kinds of hearts . Diggy belongs to Tomasina Riddle ♥
Selena stood in the observatory, Diggy’s robes around her to keep her warm. At night here, the stars shone more brilliantly and there was no one else she’d rather share this sight with.
Selena could feel her heart pounding fast but she was unsure if he could feel it, or hear it for that matter.
That day was their first kiss as their lips met each others’ and Selena’s face turned crimson yet she was happy. And in love. But happy.
“I love you.”
She snuggled in close. He didn’t need to answer, but he did and it was perfect.

Selena glared at Dianna and continued to gaze into the grapefruit. “And you will be a cat lady… with awesome friends that you will give your chocolate to…” she continued before eying Di’s candy bar.

23. Telescopes
Selena was holding two telescopes to her eyes, pointing them at her cousin.
“Put that ridiculous thing away,” Katrina sighed.
Selena aimed them at Katrina’s eyes.
“Why? Jealous?” Selena asked smugly.
Katrina rolled her eyes and knocked one out of Sel’s hand. Selena dropped the other telescope and poked Katrina with it.
“Hey, I was using that,” Selena huffed before picking it up. Selena adjusted it in her hand and fixed it just as the door opened to reveal her younger cousin Serene.
Serene through the telescopes and at Selena. “Why are your eyes so big?”
“Because I’m awesome.” Duh.

11. History of Magic
Snoooooozer. Selena was dozing off into dreamland, then all of a sudden there was a loud bang on the desk.
“I’m awake, I swear,” Selena said, violet eyes wide.
Katrina glared at her cousin. “Then what was I saying?”
“You were talking about me ruling the world in about 5 years,” Selena said proudly.
Katrina just blinked at Selena blankly like she was crazy. “Uhm… how does that have anything to do with History of Magic?” Katrina asked.
“Well…” Selena said, thinking quickly. “History is the past and future of the world and I’m the future.”
Hah. Selena won this.

24. House Elf
“Daddy, when I grow up, I’m going to be a house elf,” Selena told her daddy with a bright smile.
Her father shook his head at the innocent five year old. “Why would you want to be a house elf?” he asked.
“Because they always help people,” Selena explained with a smile.
Then her father seemed quite angry to Selena. “They’re not helpful, they’re servants, no better than the scum on your shoes,” he said coldly to his daughter.
“But daddy, my house elf-,” Selena started before she was cut off by her father’s glare.
Selena remained silent after that.
