| | |  Slytherin vs Gryffindor Quidditch Match
Who: Slytherin vs. Gryffindor
What: Quidditch Match
When: January 20, 7 PM EST
Where: School RP Quidditch Pitch
All students need to be aware that sportsmanship is expected at all times. All SS rules apply during the match. Only members of the Quidditch teams playing and the officials may post in the match thread. The Quidditch stands will be open during the match so you can cheer your house or favorite team.
Each player stepping on the pitch needs to review the Quidditch Rules posted in this forum. They need to follow the officials and their captains instructions at all times, also. Good sportsmanship is required at all times. The last rule is to have fun. Good Luck to all teams.

Mr Hassan enters the pitch. He mounts his broom and zooms to inspect both sets of goals. He flies around the pitch checking various things and when he is satisfied the pitch and stadium is ready he lands in the center circles and waits for both teams to meet him in the center of the pitch for the push off. He blows his whistle and waits for the teams to arrive.

First the only thing posted in this thread is game. You do not need to zoom the stands on your broom. It only clutters the thread and makes the match difficult to follow for all.
Here are tonight's starting line-ups: Quote: Slytherin Roster:
Chasers:
1. Ozzy (If its needed, I will cover any unmanned position)

3. Parselmouth555 (idk if they will make it... but we can manage without if need be.) - Subbing for pgspickles.
Beaters:

One last bit of housekeeping before the match. All players must be visible in their options choices. Invisibility cloaks are not allowed on the pitch. So...if I see you or one of your player in the invisible mode it will result in a penalty. I will make this announcement on the pitch as well. Captains, you are responsible for informing your teams. Every person should be visible. Nobody should be in the invisible mode. This is a new rule.
I will give each team 10 minutes to switch into visible mode then I will begin the match.

The first quaffle of the match is a toss-up. Either team's chasers may answer it and either team keeper's can block it. If a chaser answers then then the next quaffle goes to the opposing team, but if a keeper blocks his/her team takes controls.
What is the oldest position in Quidditch?

Slytherin keeper misses and Gryffindor scores. Excellent try by the keeper but they came up just a bit short.

The shot from the Gryffindor chaser is blocked by a save from the keeper of Slytherin. It appears this might be a defensive match up with both keepers doing well so far.

The Slytherin chaser scores, nice bit of flying there folks. Did you see split the Gryffindor chaser on her way to the goals? The gives 10 points to Slytherin. Beater question is correct for Gryffindor, knocking off 10 from Slytherin. So the Slytherin score is again 0.

The Gryffindor chaser streak down the left side of the pitch and shoot. The keeper match an attempt to block it but it squeezes in the right hoop. What a shot ladies and gentlemen.
