Need to discuss your Divination essay? Have a problem to discuss with the Ravenclaw Head of House? Or perhaps you just want to chat? Despite the reason, before you can come into Professor Elwood's office, you need to be kind and wait for her permission to do so by knocking on the wooden door located in the small circular room below the trapdoor leading up to the Divination Classroom. Have a seat on the recently organized collection of items placed rather neatly against the wall--hopefully you'll get the stool and not the rusty-looking trunk. Professor Elwood will be out shortly.
OCC: After posting here, I will let you know before you can post in the office thread.
The boy had groomed himself. Not just physically so that the dirt that had likely been there for the entirety of his summer holiday was gone, but mentally. Cutty had read a couple of books on the subject about which he was queuing up to discuss with one Professor Elwood. It was full of names, this subject. Names and strange incidents that could not be explained. Cutty thought it was utter codswallop. In other words, an easy O when it came time to take his owls, which he'd been thinking about since Somerlad had mention hers last year.
The boy balled up his fist and drew back as though he were going to bang upon the wooden door, but instead delivered a knock that was surprisingly rhythmic for the normally moody boy. Spotting the stools nearby some rusty looking trunks, Cutty hoisted himself with a jump onto the latter. They just looked more magical to him.
Professor Elwood had not had any visitors yet, seeing as the term had only just begun. That was fine with the Divination professor though, she'd gotten something over the summer to keep her entertained and she was currently cooing and crawling on the floor with it when there was a knock on the door.
She poked her head quickly over the side of her desk and stared for a minute. Hmmm...
Elwood quietly grabbed her new toy and tossed it gently into her wagon and closed the door before answering her office one. It was a young Slytherin kid, one that she'd met at a Gobstones match the year before if she was correct. "Mr...Mordaunt? What can I help you with?" She said, checking over her shoulder into her office before making eye contact with him again.

Cutty was hoping that this exact sort of thing did not happen. That someone in front of whom he had embarrassed himself terribly would be ran into again. But there she was, the witch behind whom Cutty had tried to tail passed the tolls for the Gobstones tournament last term. "No!" He said rather crankily. Realizing this, however, he immediately tried to rectify. "I mean..." Cutty had to think fast.
"Do you KNOW things others don't? As a Professor of the noble art?" His expression moved from furrowed brows to an almost sort of haughty look as his eyebrows rose and he had to lift his head to speak to the full-grown witch, being just slightly under the average height for his age. The boy moved a stray bit of hair from his face with the back of his hand and resorted to shaking his head when it did not fully comply. It was an awfully long walk from his common room to the tower. "I'm considering taking Divination and I was wondering what the benefits of taking it were. May I come in?" He asked, trying to sound as much of an adult as he could using tones he'd heard them use in his still unripened voice.
curly haired prefect - "sometimes I get angry!" - 30/90 - *chicken emoji* - probably @ Disney - I speak dog
Caleb normally didn't go visit professors on his downtime. He didn't need to - he always figured out his assignments on his own because he was so smart. But he was not visiting Professor Elwood for academic reasons today - nope. He had much more important business that he needed to take care of. He was here for ANSWERS.
Sitting down and waiting patiently for the professor to address him - she was currently talking to Cutty, of course - he looked at his nails and studied his cuticles intensely.

No? Elwood jerked her head back slightly and looked at the Slytherin slightly amused. Ah, see he did need something.
And there it was. He wanted to know if she knew things. Like SEEING them when others can't. He was sort of a cutie. She watched him look at her with what she assumed was his attempt and piercing eyes as he stood there in his little kid body with just-too-long hair. "Well Mr. Mordant, I'm happy to hear that you've considered adding Divination to your lessons this term and I'd be glad to speak to you about its benefits. Yes, you may come in." She said putting on a VERY serious face to match his own.
All business this one.

As the blonde stepped aside to let the boy into her office she noticed that one of the Newell twins was also waiting to speak with her. That made two slytherins all the way up in her tower. "Mr. Newell, I'll be right with you when I finish with Mr. Mordant." That okay?
She smiled before closing the door.
OOC: Izzy you can go ahead and post in the office thread and Lissy you can too just assume it's a different timeline.
Cosgrach heavily sighed as he wondered what he was doing here again. Seriously. He was a science man. He didn't believe in fortune telling. That was the reason he was holding the book 'Divination for Non-believers'. But why he had been anxious to devour it, was beyond him. His only explanation was that the knowledge of future tempted him, and...
Hello Calista.
He hesitated for the milliionth time that day before knocking on the door, wondered briefly why she had put a very uncomfortable stool, and chosed to stand on his feet.

She would shortly answer the knock, yes?
It was beginning to become a hassle to keep the little guy closed up in her office but she wasn't sure if enough time had passed before she could let him out freely.
As Callie pondered the thought about the thing she'd been hiding in her wagon there was a knock at the door. She cooed quietly to the hidden item and closed the wagon door softly before opening the office one.
The Potions Master. "Hello Cosgrach. What brings you up to this part of the Castle?" She glanced at his hand and noticed he had a book with him. "Wondering on whether or not to dabble in the art of Bibliomancy like the students in my last lesson?" She grinned brightly.
Hecate had never visited her office before and probably had never even been seen above the third floor to be honest. She didn't mind seeing the new Potions Master, so far he seemed to be rather different than Lafay.

Bib--what? Cosgrach frowned, but he was also smiling amiably. He showed her the title then while saying "I'm wondering whether or not to dabble in divination as a whole, actually." Err, she wouldn't be offended by the title, right? The 'non-believer' part?
"But if you are busy, I can drop by another time." Since she didn't really invite him and all.
