31. Dress robes

"What ARE these things?" Harry grumbled as he looked in his mirror. Harry had grown out of his old robes and needed some new ones. However, he had told his friends they could get him some. Why he had done that he didn't know. His friends had managed to get probably the ugliest pair they could ever have found. Harry sighed as he tugged a few more strings on the brown dress robes. He would need these robes for the party tonight and he knew he would look absolutely rotten in them.

"My friends are so going to get it!"

1. Herbology

Harry sighed as he pulled out the plant in Herbology. He wasn't doing very well in that class lately and couldn't concentrate.
"mate, you okay?" Ron asked.
"Fine." Harry looked at Ron and saw his friend way ahead of him on the task given to them. Harry quickly pulled himself together and concentrated.
An hour later, when Herbology was over Harry congratulated himself on being able to finish the task.
"Are you alright Harry?" Hermione asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Harry said to her. "Just glad it's over for today."
"Harry?" Ron was waiting for him and he caught up to him.

2. Muggle Studies

"Ron." Harry whispered to his friend while keeping his eye on the teacher.
"Yeah? Whats up?" Ron asked back to Harry.
"Remind me again, what are we doing in Muggle Studies?" Harry asked.
"I don't know!" Ron said. "I think it was Hermione choosing our classes." Ron said to Harry.
"Shhh!" Hermione said. "i wasn't the one. You two chose it." hermione said.
"We did?" Ron asked bewildered.
"Yep." Hermione said. "You don't remember?"
"Nope." Harry said.
"Honestly you two. You chose but I gave you some help." Hermione said turning back to face the teacher.
"I KNEW she had something to do with it!" Harry said.

100. Homework

"Why do we get so much homework?" Harry asked Ron as they looked at the table covered in homework.
"I really don't know." Ron said staring at a blank piece of parchment.
"It's the first week back too!" Harry protested.
"Look at Hermione. Done." Ron said
"She is too smart." Harry laughed. "Well, maybe not."
"You aren't done?" Hermione came over.
"No Hermione. We aren't done." Ron said snappily.
"I was going to help but-" Hermione said.
"Oh! Please do and ignore Ron." Harry said hopefully. "We need some help with this!"
"Yeah, we do." Ron agreed looking up at Hermione.

98. Pajamas

"Why do boys always grow?" Hermione's voice could be heard talking to Mrs. Weasley.
"Ugh." Harry said as he got out of his bed at the Burrow. As he stretched he realized how tight his pajamas were.
"Ouch." Ron said as he stretched.
"I think we need new pajamas Ron." Harry said laughing at Ron's face. Harry wasn't laughing so much when he tried to get out of them.
"Did we grow overnight?" Ron asked grimacing.
"I don't know but seems like your mom and Hermione were right when they said boys never stop growing." Harry said finally getting out of the pajamas.

3. Transfiguration

"Today, we are transfiguring birds to snails." McGonagall was saying. Harry found himself bored within a few minutes. Looking at Hermione he saw her intent on McGonagall.
"As usual." Harry muttered to himself before looking at Ron. Ron had his head on the desk, fast asleep. "As usual." Harry muttered to himself again.
Once McGonagall was done talking, Harry turned to Hermione. "What do we do?"
"You need to pay attention." She said.
"It's Transfiguration, I never do." Harry said.
Once Hermione explained, Harry was able to get his bird to change. Ron on the other hand, couldn't and got extra homework.

25. Sorting Hat

Harry sat in complete boredom. Usually he enjoyed the Sorting Hat's song but this year it was just a plain, bad song. It went on and on in Harry's mind. Hermione looked intent but Harry knew she was just as bored. Ron on his other side was talking to Neville and the twins. Harry put his head on his plate and closed his eyes.

"Don't you dare!" Hermione nudged him and he sighed opening them.
"It's boring." He complained.
"So? We are Gryffindors! Gryffindor pays attention. That goes for you four too!" She said to the twins, Ron and Neville.

13. Quidditch

"Take the skies team." Angelina said to everyone.
Harry grinned as he hit the sky. The feeling of being on his broom after quite a while was the greatest feeling. The burst of adrenaline he had that practice helped him a lot. The practice was one of the best of his life or his time as the seeker for the Gryffindor team.

"Well done Harry. i hope to see that in the game." Angelina told Harry once they were on the ground again.
"Where did that come from?" Ron asked Harry.
"I don't know." Harry responded not wanting to say.

60. Joke

Harry sat in the Common Room watching Fred, George and Lee. They were setting up a joke for everyone who entered the common room. Every person entering would have a bucket of cream dumped on them. Harry watched them for a while before he realized Hermione had just got dumped on. Harry quickly turned away as the fuming girl came over to him. She cleaned herself off and then sat down.
"Some joke." She said watching the twins and Lee.
"It is kind of funny." Harry said before seeing Hermione's look. Upon seeing the look, he got to his homework avoiding her gaze.

95. Snowball

"I am NOT enjoying this!" Hermione said to Harry.
"Come on!" Harry, Hermione, Ron and the twins were outside with Ginny on a snowy Saturday. Hermione wasn't very interested in the snowball fight and wouldn't take part. Of course, the twins took her down and shoved snow into her face.
"Hermione, it is snowy and its a Saturday. Leave your homework for a bit." Harry said. As predicted, Hermione shook her head and used her wand to melt away some snow to read. Harry joined into the fight. A few minutes later he felt a snowball on his neck and saw Hermione laughing.

49. Yule Ball

"How do they do it?" Harry heard Ron mutter one night in the common room. Harry followed Ron's gaze and saw him looking at some boys asking some girls out. Harry laughed and bent down to his homework. Ron turned back around to Harry.
"Well, how do they do it?" He asked.
"Ron, if we knew that we would have asked people to the Yule Ball ages ago!" Harry said.
"And as we don't, we haven't." Ron sighed. "Even Hermione has a date!" Ron said.
"Why did they have to schedule ANOTHER Yule Ball?" Harry asked. "Shall we try Parvati and Padma again?"
"Yep." Ron agreed.

99. Newspaper

Harry came down the stairs and into the Gryffindor Common Room. Looking around, he saw Hermione into her school books and Ron looking at a Newspaper. Harry did a double-take as he headed down to where Ron was. Putting down his bag, he turned to Ron.
"Why are you reading the paper?" Harry asked.
"It's cool!" Ron said. "Why not?"
"Ron, that's a first time that you have ever read the paper willingly!" Harry exclaimed as Hermione turned around.
"Actually, I'm making him!" She said.
"It's true." Ron turned to Harry, looking misreble.

92. Chocolate

"Harry!" A voice broke into Harry Potter's tired thoughts. He raised his head and saw Hermione standing before him, with a bag in her hands.
"Whazzup?" He asked blearily as she set down the bag.
"Tired?" She laughed as she sat down next to Harry.
"Just a little." Harry rubbed his eyes as he sat up normally. "so, what's up?" He asked.
"chocolate." Hermione reached into the bag and pulled out some chocolate. Harry let out a yell of delight and reached for it. He stopped mid-way.
"Where is it from?" He asked.
"Mrs. Weasley." Hermione said promptly.
"Okay then." Harry reached for the chocolate he was giving her and began to eat it.

96. Socks

Harry opened his eyes to hear someone in the room complaining. Harry sat up grinning as he looked over at another bed in the room.
“What’s up Ron?” Another voice asked before Harry could ask. Harry looked over and saw Dean Thomas looking at Ron.
“I can’t find any blasted socks.” Ron answered while searching through his trunk. Harry looked at the other boys in the dormitory and they all grinned. All of them knew how often Ron lost his socks and how he was always using other people’s. It is going to be like last year, isn’t it? Harry thought as he got out of bed.

Leaning down, Harry pulled out his trunk from beneath his bed. Plunging a hand into the trunk, he searched for a few minutes before pulling a pair of socks from the bottom. They had been Uncle Vernon’s socks before and they were all grey and smelled very bad. Harry chucked them over to Ron who grimaced after smelling them.
“Thanks a lot.” Ron said.
“Hey, they're socks.” Harry said to Ron as he pulled on his own, nicer pair.

93. Chicken

Opening his eyes, Harry saw the rest of the dormitory waking up. He rolled over and saw Ron getting his robes on at fast pace. “What’s up?” Harry asked as he looked at Ron. “It’s Saturday, why are you hurrying?”
“I have a really bad craving for a certain food and I need it.” Ron said as he dashed out of the dormitory.
“Where’s Ron?” Hermione asked when she saw Harry a few minutes later.
“He said he had a bad craving for a certain food.” Harry responded as they headed down to the Great Hall.
“Which food?” Hermione asked as they entered the hall, searching for Ron. Harry noticed Ron and sighed when he saw what he was shoveling down.
“Chicken.”

87. Plaid

"Nice Pajamas Ron." Harry said laughing to his friend when Ron pulled his christmas gifts from under his bed. One of his packages had ripped and Harry could see the corner of pajama pants that happened to be a certain pattern.

"It's my mom again. She's taken to Pajamas and giving them to us kids for Christmas. She likes plaid the most." Ron said grimacing as he looked at his pajamas. He threw them on the floor and turned to Harry.
"Aren't they probably the most ugly things you have ever seen? I mean, plaid? I don't know where she gets the idea for these Christmas gifts!"

61. Kiss

“You can’t tell me that you haven’t been kissed before?” Harry was looking at Neville with an absolute shock that he knew showed on his face as it couldn’t have been hidden. The two boys were 17 and Harry couldn’t believe it.
“No, I haven’t.” Neville said looking glum as he looked at Harry. “I don’t think it will ever happen for me.”
“Sure it will. I mean, every other person has had one and I am sure you will get a kiss soon.” Harry said trying to look like he really truly meant it and it must have worked as Neville looked hopeful.

85. Snappish

"Harry Potter!" Hermione yelled down the stairs to her friend, who was at the bottom of them. She looked very angry and Harry almost shied under the look.
"What Hermione?" Harry yelled back up to her as he started to climb up the stairs to get to her.
“You are so idiotic sometimes, I swear!” Hermione said back to while he continued up the stairs.
“What did I do now?” Harry asked back to her. “I swear I do bad things ALL of the time!”
“Oh, you are so irritating sometimes! Wait, a lot of the time!” Hermione said snappily.

41. Thestrals

“Harry?” Ron called over to his friend. The two were at The Burrow with Hermione, who was out of the room at the time.
“Yes Ron?” Harry called back, looking up from the book he was reading on Ron’s pull-out bed.
“What do thestral look like? I mean, I’ve ridden one but I don’t actually know what they look like.” Ron said asking Harry.
“They are grey and they look skeletal but if you think about it, it’s sort of glorious and they are quite majestic looking. It’s kind of strange but they really are.” Harry said in response to Ron’s question.
