The Eagles sit under a beautiful navy and bronze banner representing their house. Their solid, shiny wooden table is nicely polished with all the place settings perfectly set. The food will arrive after the Headmistress' traditional end-of-term speech. To all Ravenclaws, both new and old, really, REALLY old: enjoy the feast! You've earned it.
Well another term flew by and here The Ravenclaw Prefect was at the feast. Going to be a seventh year, once he comes back next term. Merlin, look at time fly. Maybe that is why he was the first one to the Ravenclaw table. We were always notoriously late to these types of things. Probably because we don't care about packing until minutes ago and get sidetracked easily. Nigel did have a little trouble finding his remaining candy. But after a couple minutes he gave up. Not worth it. Anyway leaving feasts were always sad.
His HAIR was still not perfect.
But he will worry about his hair after the speech and he eats. But merlin the another half of the Hair Ruffler duo, Ella and Alice were all leaving. Who will appreciate puns now? Just something to think about. Nigel laid down on the bench because why not.
Nobody will be here for a while.

Alex took a deep breath as she entered the Great Hall. Her last end of term feast and she was determined not to be sad. So far, she had been unsuccessful at trying to look happy and excited. How could she not be bummed about leaving her school and her friends? Not to mention that she was looking and feeling about a hundred years old and it seemed that she would be going home this way. Alex pretty much just wanted to make it through the feast and have it be over quickly....before she lost it.
Heading over to the Ravenclaw table, Alex found it to be nearly empty. Seeing only the Prefect Nigel, she gave him a nod before taking a seat. Was it time to put on the happy face yet? She hoped not because she was definitely not feeling it.

Wow, it seemedl ike no one was there yet. But Caelen nodded to the other two at the table and sat down, smiling profusely. Because her first year was awesome! There was a giant library and she got to read the books and go to classes and watch quidditch and explore the grounds and SO much more! Hogwarts was just as exctiing as she thought it would be! Besides the whole issue with the old people. The young!old people were a completely different issue. Something that was never resolved.
But anyway, the feast also left the girl with the fishtail braid with a sad feeling in her stomach. The firstie only had six years left in this place. This magical place. Literally magical. Like wands and stuff. But the redhead wasn't focusing on this sad little fact. Instead she was focusing on the fun she had. Like running around and getting notes and almost beating Spencer at chess once but losing at the last moment because she made a stupid move when sher mind was on something else.
And anyway, wasn't this feast supposed to be something fun? A cool way of remembering the year and all of the acheivements they made here? And it was her FIRST year. She had an amazing six years left. Hopefully nothing strange happened next year. And she was planning on spending a lot of the summer with her best friend in his house and learning how to fly. But whatever. Feast time! Proper time to have fun and look back on what was the best! Eww, she was starting to sound like one of those sentimental birthday card.

Honestly, where had the time gone though? It almost felt as if it were the beginning of the term when she was first walking into this Great Hall. She definitely felt like she had changed in these passed few months. Was it for the better? Or was it something terrible? Was it something that could upset her father? Would he cross with her? But, she didn't mean to disobey his rules of never speaking to strangers, she really didn't. But could she help it if she'd formed friendships with Ella or her Quiddtich teammates?
Quidditch...what an exhilarating sport! Aside from being bitten after her last match from that girl in the red robes, she really liked the sport! And for anyone who might ask her or were curious, her bite mark had healed. Aside from a bit of a scar that remained on her skin that reminded her of the incident.
...Speaking of Quidditch...was anyone else from her team here yet?
Making her way towards the Eagles table, it looked as if she wasn't the first person to arrive there, although it didn't look like a lot of people from her House had arrived yet either, except from the three other people who were there. As she got closer, she'd recognized a familiar face. It was that Nigel guy, who was one of her House Prefects & was one of her teammates, who was also apparently lying down on one of the benches. Strange. She never thought of laying down on a wooden bench. Was it even comfortable? Nonetheless, as she neared him, she slowly lifted her hand to give him a light wave followed by a soft, "H-Hi Nigel.." She paused before mustering up the courage to ask the older boy, "Would you mind if I sat by you?" Would he mind, because if he didn't want her to do, she would understand, she could probably find a seat at the table elsewhere, there were a lot of seats.

Oooh, look another person! Well, the table was becoming more filled, even if it WAS just four people so far, and that was good. Because there would be more people to talk to and more items through the year to talk about. Like that quidditch match where the girl who just walked up got bit. Was that healed? Because getting bitten by another human did not seem like a fun time to her. Man, the smaller girl didn't even know that quidditch could get that rough. Why did Nate play it again? Wasn't it more about protecting people from rough things than getting into rough situations himself? Also, How were the old people doing was another good conversation. Where they okay? Were they.... well, you know, THAT. Shame they had to go home and see their parents while they looked older than them. Well, no one could say she didn't try to help in that department. Oh yeah, the kid never quite found out if her idea was right or not.
Anyway, Caelen smiled at the newcomer and took a break from being sentimental about everything to watch her. Not in a creepy way, but the redhead wanted to start a conversation and that involved waiting for the right time. It was something introduced by her mother, don't ask. There was a lot of little mother-isms left in her from all the time the blue eyed girl had lived there. It was kind of weird when you thought about it. But hadn't she immatured a lot during the year? Enough to stop following her mother's social rules that didn't make a lot of sense when you thought about them? Like seriously mom, this wasn't 2020. Things were different now. Maybe the freckled girl should stop over thinking this so much.
"Hello," the girl with the fishtail braid said to the other girl. Her blue eyes moved with the other girls to the boy laying down on the bench. Nigel might have been his name from what she had heard. Weird. Not the name, but the laying on the bench thing. She couldn't say anything about names being weird. Cael's -the new twelve year old nickname she was trying to start for herlsef- had an older brother named Rockwell. Not much room to argue about names there. Although it might have been comfortable. Again, the bench, not the name. The firstie had slept atop a refridgerator on a dare from Spencer and it wasn't that bad. Of course she hadn't lasted the whole night. One of his older brothers had found her around three in the morning and made her come down. Something about 'falling down and breaking her arm and why had she dared do this didn't she know how dangerous it was and was she CRAZY?' The kid hadn't heard everything, she was still half asleep. But she was TOTALLY fine. He was just being paranoid.
Anyway......
"That doesn't look quite comfortable, does it?" Caelen continued for the other girl, playing with the lose strand of her braid when she talked. It was kind of a habit she developed this year, along with sweaty palms when she was nervous or lying. The second one was A LOT more annoying in the twelve year old's humble opinion.

Hayley had to admit, Noel was a good cousin. A really good cousin. He was closest to the Great Hall, and still walked up all seven floors just to walk to the feast with her. If she hadn't thought twice, the first year would have commented about how suiting it was that he was sorted into Hufflepuff, but she refrained. To him, that would be an insult - which was almost getting to her, because both her mum and dad had been Hufflepuffs, and they were the best people she knew.
As of right now, though, the little Ravenclaw girl knew very well that there was no convincing Joseph Noel Wallace. He would have to come to it on his own, if ever.
Still walking alongside the boy as they entered the Great Hall, Hayley headed straight for her own house table of blue and bronze - she didn't even have to ask if he would mind, because surely he wouldn't want to sit with his own house mates. Blue-grey eyes scanned the long, nearly empty table before sliding onto the bench, toward the middle, and she dropped her school bag at her feet. "Are you ready for tomorrow?" She asked, finally. Tomorrow, when they would all be leaving for home.

Finally. FINALLY, the end of term feast had arrived. It had been a surprisingly long term, and one that Mo had always thought would be one of his best. No OWLs to study for, NEWTs still a year off, and just... all adventures and being one of the big kids and throwing around his respective weight. The term hadn't gone like that at ALL, though, and it couldn't be done over.
Mo slid into the seat beside Nigel and nudged over his legs before waving at the housemates who were already gathered there. Baby teammates, fellow sixth year, cutie pie first year, a seventh year he hadn't spoken to... a good cross section of housemates.
And still Mo was felling a bit off. He'd been off all term, really. "I hope they have pudding." Truer words never spoken.
Well it was a tiny break before people started to show up. Nigel was not napping because this was obviously not the best time to nap. Maybe after he eats and such. But not before. So he waved and smiled at the couple of claws that past him. This was suppose to be a happy thing after all. Nigel was just thinking about pickles and puns. When he hears a familiar voice. He turns his head to see his teammate Josette.
"Hi and sure, of course. I think even Mo will be here shortly"
And speak of the old devil. Here at last and nudging/swinging Nigel's legs under the table. Sigh, guess that means it was time to sit properly now. It was surprisingly comfortable. Or more comfortable than the common room's floor.
Pudding?
Pudding did pretty sound good. But eating sounded far away right now considering who was leaving. "Pudding sounds good later. But shouldn't we go over to the other tables for the obvious reasons"

Mo straightened up when Nigel sat up, giving his old friend the side eye when he brought up... reasons. REASONS? It didn't take Mo more than a second to realize that this end of term feast wasn't just the end of sixth year for them, but was also the the end of Hogwarts for a select few of Mo's favorite people.
He didn't want to acknowledge it, not even to himself and definitely not to Nigel.
"What reasons? Do they already have pudding over there?"

Wait, what was this conversation about? Caelen wasn't realy paying attention. The redhead was too busy looking at the other people coming in and wondering when in the heck the food was going to appear. Wait, was it going to appear? It did in the start of term feast, why not here? The place was literally magical. Appearing to them for another time wasn't such a hard thing, was it. She was HUNGRY. Not that the freckily girl wasn't always hungry, but she was hungrier now. But mostly Caelen was trying to keep track of the old people. And yes, her journal was in front of her as always. She was going to put it away later in her schoolbag on the floor. But right now she was doing something. Almost just to see how big the majority was in the old people's favor. She was making a tally mark in each column when that person came in. It was like a survey. And not the one Professor Cogsgrach wouldn't let her perform. Whatever professor.
Something about pudding? Yeah, that sounded good right now. Wait, the girl with the blue eyes didn't know how this end of term feast went. SHOULD they be going to other tables for some reason? Should the kid get up? The girl with the fishtail braid unfolded her legs until she heard the other older student speak.
"Wait, should I get up or not?" Seriously, can the older students make up their mind? She was basically following whatever they did. The twelve year old was only a firstie here! And her older brother did NOT give her any tips for Hogwarts rather than picking the shorter girl up and swinging her around when she got her letter. And that was only so he looked nice to mother.
Anyway, can someone make up their mind?

End of term was finally here.
And Jun was still old.
That meant walking slowly to the Great Hall so he wouldn't end up like the people who had broken their bones before. But all the aging kids should've been put back to normal by now. Looks like they were just gonna have them die after their last meal here. Anyway, the gray haired boy entered the large hall and headed towards his house table. Quickly scanning around, he still hadn't caught a glance of his best friend. She was probably still hiding out in her dorm. Jun wouldn't blame Char for doing so. He would've done the same but he was hungry. Sitting down, he leaned his head on his hand and waited for something to happen. This term just needed to be over already.

Yes, Reasons.
And it did not take Mo that long at all to figure out what he meant. It was still to early to say it out right. Maybe after the speech. So yeah no straight out acknowledging it yet. Nigel was tapping his fingers on the table waiting for pudding and the food later. Thinking about pudding to much actually makes you want it. Who knew? Change of topic was in order.
"You decide yet where you are traveling to over the summer?"
Since they were still old and all. Plans would have to change and such. Sigh. Pessimistic Mo was right about this.
"Hufflepuff Table will probably have pudding. It is Hufflepuff after all."

Nigel did not even have a chance to look to see who else came in the hall. When he heard a questions. And a good question at that. Now since he was a Prefect and all. It would be terrible rude not to answer. Nigel turned to the soon to be second year sitting by them.
"No you don't have to, if you don't want to."
Nothing was making them really stay at their table other than food maybe. But you could eat that at the other tables if there was room. Merlin, now he was thinking about pudding again.

Did she just hear that Hufflepuff probably had pudding ina way that TOTALLY wasn't eavesdropping? Because the redhead was hungry and pudding was going to solve that problem quickly. And it wasn't like the soon to be second year didn't know anybody in Hufflepuff, she knew one and sort of knew another. So what was she waiting for? That was actually the hard question that the freckled face girl was asking herself.
They had FOOD over there for goodness sakes! Delicious food. And they had Nate, who was like her older brother, but somehow more annoying. Wait, wasn't she trying to talk herself into going over there? Because that was a step backwards. Haha, just kidding. But really though. The girl with the fishtail braid thought hard and bit her lip, thinking about the pudding or her house. Wait, didn't they say that Hufflepuff MIGHT have pudding? That was a lot different than definite pudding. A big difference.
Wait, why was she stressing out about PUDDING? That was the worst thing to be thinking this whole time about. But maybe she would stop by and give Nate a little visit and check out the whole food scene. That was all up to chance of when this feast thing would actually start. Serously, she wasn't a Hufflepuff, she didn't have the patience for this! But it was probably going to take a while. These things were apparently really fun and didn't they have more time before they left, anyway? The kid shrugged. For pudding or no pudding, she was just going to see what other people were doing and then go from there

This was meant to be Benjy's second to last term. Penultimate. After all that packing and those stairs, however, it felt very much his last. Brittle bones, achey muscles. He was convinced that they'd have it sorted by the end of term.
Apparently, they hadn't. Whoever they were.
With a sigh, Benjy eased himself slowly onto the bench with the other sixth years. "Anpther term over, huh? Anyone got good palns for the summer?"
The formerly energetic Sophie had been tamed over the last few months as the aging disease progressed, and the bounce in her step that had been there at the start-of-term feast was no longer. Instead, she hobbled into the Great Hall, her appearance kept fairly in check by use of various potions, but everything still ached, and, more than anything, it had affected her mood.
She was sad, almost all the time. She couldn't run, she couldn't climb, she couldn't go adventuring and do all the fun things she loved to do. So... what was the point?
The only thing that kept her going was the knowledge that Culloden wasn't going to let them die. He was going to save them and make them young again, he'd find a way. He promised. She was biding her time until then, and tried to seem less unhappy than she was when she was around large groups of people. So when she reached Mo, Benjy, Nigel, and the rest of the crew, she plastered on a half-hearted smile and slid onto the bench next to Mo, then hugged his arm in greeting. No words, just the arm-hug, and then her attention was drawn to the staff table where Culloden was sitting and tried to catch his eye so she could give him a look of urgency that said please don't let this be our last feast.
Gwen limped a little on her way into the Great Hall. Her knee had never really gotten better, but she refused to be one of those people who just accepted that they were ninety and nearly twelve at the same time. She was not going to use a cane. Ever. So she limped.
The Ravenclaw table was already filling up, thank goodness. It was easier to sit down by people who were already seated than to sit first and hope people sat by you, right? She carefully climbed onto the bench near Caelen. They seemed to be talking about pudding? Which was arguably one of the grossest foods in the world. "They do have other desserts, right?" Because there wasn't food on the table right now, and Gwen definitely wanted some cake or something else sweet and sugary and not pudding.

Alex decided that it was time to snap out of her funk. She had acknowledged her fellow Claws as they came to sit at the table, but otherwise, she had pretty much been ignoring everyone. This was not exactly how she wanted to go out.
Trying to look on the bright side of things, Alex focused on the good memories that she had of her time at school. Mind over matter, right? Sooner or later she was going to have to face her friends. She couldn't hide from them all night, could she? Positive thoughts, positive thoughts.......... Thinking that her frame of mind was as good as it was going to get, Alex stood up and prepared to table hop. Who would she visit first? Decisions, decisions.......

Sander had promised himself that he would spend some time with his name twin, Alex, at the End of Feast before they all left to go home on the train. He slid in quietly next to her and gently nudged her with his shoulder.
"Penny for your thoughts. You look like you have a lot of your mind," Sander smiled down gently at his best friend.

Before Alex could make a move, she felt someone bump her shoulder. Turning around, she saw that it was Sander. Smiling her first genuine smile of the day, she said, "Hey twin, I was just about to come over to your table.""How's it going?"
Alex didn't think she was that transparent, but she guessed that sitting alone and ignoring people was a bit antisocial.....even for her. "I was just reflecting, I guess. Trying to think happy thoughts and not about leaving." Alex couldn't slip anything past Sander. He knew her too well. "I'm fine for now . Where's the rest of the crew?"

Alex listened to Sander as he shared his words of wisdom. "I knew you were smart, but have you always been so wise?", she said. Thinking about his words, Alex knew Sander was right. Why should she waste her last precious moments at Hogwarts being sad and pouting? The answer was, she shouldn't.
Taking Sander's hand, Alex stood and headed off toward the Gryffindor table. She was going to have her last hurrah at Hogwarts with the people she cared about the most.

Days of Potter 2023:___________________________ Which Bertie Botts Flavour Are You?
Caelen was still comtemplating going over to see Nate and stealing some of the pudding. Cause it wasn't a party until Caelen took some of the food and talked to a bunch of people because she knew ONE person there. Yeah, parties with her were interesting. Not that the redhead ever went to any parties. After being taken out of the public school system, the soon to be second year didn't even go to any Birthday parties besides her brothers and her own. It was rather lucky the girl with the braid didn't end up like one of those guys who lives in shacks on mountains with the beards and such, right? Then again, growing a beard didn't seem like such a bad idea.
Wait, wasn't she talking about parties? How did the twelve year old go from parties to beards? but growing a beard WOULD be really cool. Okay, she was going over to his table. If only to get her mind off that weird beard conversation and to get some pudding. Because pudding was pretty good. Textures -- or more like the gloppiness of food-- didn't bother her much and she loved pudding. And the blue eyed girl could make it actually, not from sratch, but from like one of those pudding making things.
She had uncrossed her short but sort of muscular legs from the bench and was just standing up when someone sat down near her. Might as well say hello while she was still there, because wouldn't that be rude to not say hello?
"Hey there." That was completely normal. The other young Ravenclaw seemed to be one of those people who were young and old at the same time. How did that work exactly? That would be really interesting to know. But Caelen wasn't asking. That WOULD be rude, yes?
Are there going to be any different desserts? Well, she had no idea. But it was Hogwarts, so probably. If they had magical classes and such, they should have many desserts, right? That was the short girls philosphy.
"They probably should. I mean, I'm not sure, but I think they would, right?" So what if the questions wasn't explicity FOR HER. The oval faced girl wanted to anwser and she had.

Apparently, they hadn't. Whoever they were.
With a sigh, Benjy eased himself slowly onto the bench with the other sixth years. "Anpther term over, huh? Anyone got good palns for the summer?"
"Benjy," Mo turned from Nigel to glance at the other sixth year male now in their midst. It was a hello. And an invitation. "There's probably pudding at the Hufflepuff table. Plus... y'know. Seventh years."
For reasons of saying... goodbye. Mo swallowed hard before smiling.
"Let's go? Ni and you and me? For pudding reasons, obviously." He wasn't ready to be thinking about goodbyes yet, even if Nigel was already mentally checking them all off as seventh years. Just a few more hours, and that would essentially be true.
He glanced down at the Sophie on his arm and gave her a hair ruffle. "You can come too, ok?"

While there currently were not tears on her face, the seventh year had obviously been crying in the recent past. All the tears had come out while she was packing so when she came into the great hall, Lily felt as though there were no more tears anywhere. The seventh year still took her time making her way down to the Ravenclaw table for the last time. It was sorta symbolic to have one last feast, even if it was depressing. She stopped about halfway down the table and slid into her normal seat, glancing around to see who else was there. By the looks of it, Captain Mo, Prefect Nigel, and a couple of the others were headed off to other tables in search of something. The rest of the table was still pretty empty with only a couple other faces Lily recognized. Rather than go wander in search of people to say goodbye to, the seventh year pushed her dishes out of the way a bit and started jotting some ideas down on a piece of parchment so that she would know what to write in the memory book when the time came.
