Catherine, was now running down the corridor, and noticed a water cooler. She quickly took a sip, and noticed people getting out of the elevators. They were wearing robes.? "Why was everyone wearing robes?" she kept thinking to her self. These people started to talk and once again they were talking about something that she herself could not understand. She noticed a tall male taking out a wooden stick, he waved it and something happend like, sparks or something. "What, are you doing? why are you waving around a stick and why did it emit sparks?" he was almost yelling at the man. She started to run.

Wes followed the distraught Tasha out into the corridor. He knew that if he asked her if she remembered meeting him yesterday, she'd say no. The first step would be to obviously calm her down to figure out what happened to her, but Wes couldn't help but feel shaky and nervous. This was the first REAL catastrophe he was dealing with since becoming Department Head, and all he wanted to do was do a good job!

"Tasha, please calm down!" he called after her. Finally managing to catch up to her, he bit his lip as he figured out what he was going to say to her. "I know this may sound rather strange, but we've met before. Just yesterday in fact. I'm Wes, the new Department Head," he added, hoping that might jog her memory a bit.

Catherine her someone call out Tasha, thats what they have been calling her, but it was that nice man, that tried to calm her down. So she slowed down to let him catch up. "I'm sorry but I don't remember you, and My name is Catherine. and your department head of what, why are there people running around with sticks?" she had so many questions. She was still very scared and could run at any moment.

NOBODY had told Sam that when he took the job that he would have to chase a crazy woman around the department. There was probably a reason nobody told him that, though.

He dashed down the hallway after the crazy woman and Wes and when he finally caught up to both of them, his eye immediately landed on the watercooler. "This place has a water cooler," he pointed out. Oh, right. That wasn't important right now. But still, A WATERCOOLER! It's not everyday you see one of those.

"Okay, Kathleen...that's your name, right? Oh, merlin. I'm confused," he said as he looked back at the woman. He had faintly hear her say her name was something, then some other people were calling her something different.

More people started to chase them but Catherine stayed in her spot, scared stiff. "Erm, no my name is Catherine. and I don't know how I got here, and no ones telling me anything, I feel like im going crazy." she started to sob again into her hands. Tears were everywhere and she was shaking. "What was happening to Me?" was the only thing that kept going over and over in her mind. "My family has to be worried that Im not at home. What would my mom do, when she notices that i've dissapeared?." she was almost hysterical.

Calla came out and the men were trying to calm the woman, and she was still histerical. The men were standing there, watching the poor woman sob. Calla went to her side and wrapped her arm around her waist, "It's ok Catherine, its ok." Calla looked to the men, trying to use her facial expressions to say we'll call her Catherine to help her through this.

"Shhhh It's ok dear. It's fine." She tried to calm the woman further. She also knew they needed to get to the bottom of this. "Now Catherine, before you can go we have to find out how you got in here." Calla hoped the men would understand she was trying to play along with the woman's memory - trying not to upset her further.

Looking from Wes, to the other man back to the sobbing 'Catherine' she continued, "Now dear could you tell me where you were and what was happening when you realized you were here."

The woman was now hugging her, the first person who seemed like they were human. she leaned against her for she was feeling a little weak. "All I remember was that there was a poof of green smoke and I was here?. I think I was at home with my dog Marley, and my parents were watching the telly? There were people that i've never seen before, and they were talking all funny. What is this place, howd did i get here.?" she kept saying but no one was answering her. Maybe this lady would help her out.

Calla felt the woman lean into her. She nodded as the listened, looking to both men. Green smoke? Interesting. The woman insisted on knowing where she was. It was obvious to Calla that 'Catherine' thought she was a muggle, and had no recall of a wizarding world. Thank Merlin her father had been muggle.

"Yes dear well the problem is you're in a high security government building, and before you can leave we have to find out how you got here." She hoped this would calm the woman a bit and the men would play along.

Using the hand that was around the woman she patted her back slightly, "We know you're scared, and we'll let you go as soon as we can." All she knew to do at this point was look to her boss.... what now?

Catherine looked puzzled how did she get into a high secuirty government building? "Your not going to let me leave?" she turned away from the woman and started screaming. "I'f im not suppost to be hear just let me go home. Please, I didn't do anything wrong let me go home, and I'll forget everything that I heard or Saw.....Please" he was almost begging by the end of the sentence. "you can have these men bring me out.. just let me go home." she was still trying to convince them, then a pile of paper was starting to fly towards her, and more people were getting out of the lifts. One moved that stick and his jacket went away. "O...M....G... whats going on.." she screamed and ducked down covering her head, while she crouched to the floor, She was going crazy. "Where did his jacket go." "Im in a nut house arn't I, Im right im going crazy and thats why im here."

"No, you're not in a nut house! I promise," Wes said with a friendly smile. He had been listening to Tasha's rant the entire time she had been talking to Calla and he heard something that he just had to go back to. "You said you remember a puff of green smoke...do you have any memory as to how that green smoke got there? Or what you were doing immediately before hand?" he asked.

It was possible she had been cursed, which made sense. Yet, how many memory spells created a puff of green smoke immediately after casting?

"Yes green smoke that what I saw. I've said this before, tho How come I answer your questions and no one answers mine.?" he was starting to get upset now. this wasn't fun at all. "I don't really remember but I noticed a broken cup at my feet?, maybe someone ran when they were covered in green smoke?" she was so confused still crouching on the floor. her reddend eyes barely open she was soo tired.

Calla shook her head as the woman pulled away and crouched on the floor. "Wes I don't know of anything that makes a green puff of smoke. Well except floo." She thought a moment longer. Looking back at Tasha she wondered if it wouldn't be smart to try and restrain her, for not only her own safety but everyone else's.

Calla looked back at the woman and cocked her head to the side. "Tas.. err... Catherine, when you saw the puff of smoke what room where you in? Where you on this level?" Maybe if she had been posioned whatever room she was in would have a clue.

"I was in the room were everyone was eating?" she said try to hold back tears. "I've been on the same floor yes, Im terrified to use those." she was trying to remember everything but after the poof of green smoke nothing.. "There was a fridge that I noticed people talking around." she looked toward the man that this woman addressed as West? and said "Whats a Mugle?, I've been hearing everyone using this word." she said while holding herself and rocking back and forth. "If I'm not in a nut house then deffently afterwards I will be." she was thinking of the best way of escaping this place. She started to look around.

Zack was entering the lifts when he saw a woman crying in the lifts. "Are you okay?" he asked the woman, watching her rock back and forth

People eating and a fridge... "So you were in the breakroom." She bent down to the woman, "No you're not in the nut house, it'll all be ok shortly." Hopefully.

Calla thought for a moment. She looked toward the room on the other side of the hall. "I suppose I'll go check out the breakroom. See if there's anything clues to what's goin on." Before she turned to walk away there was another man there to help.

Calla thought about answering for the woman, but thought that between Wes, the other man and and Tasha he should be able to get the entire story.

She turned and trotted off toward the breakroom to look for clues.

Wes nodded and watched Calla walk off. He then turned back to Tasha and the man who had just entered the area. Was he on this level? Oh well, didn't matter, he could help!

"Seems we have a case of a missing memory," he muttered. That was clearly what had happened--she had eaten something and POOF. There went her brains! "Calla is going to look for evidence now...if we can find what she was eating or drinking I'm sure we can whip up a solution to this problem," he explained.

Wes was explaining the situation to the gentleman as Calla trotted up with the repaired cup and a vial, both floating in front of her.

"Wes, this is what I found. The cup was on the floor in front of the refrigerator, in a million pieces. I repaired it, I thought there might be some kind of clue there... Also I checked in the fridge and that's where I found this half empty vial of milky fluid. Potions are not my strong point so I haven't even opened it." She shrugged; she wasn’t able to find anything else and was

She sent them Wes' way. Surely he had some potions background.

This was certainly an odd situation. The woman can't remember her name, or who she is, what she's doing... and the green smoke. It's not like a typical memory charm; usually those just adjust one memory or erase one. This seems to have completely altered her mind.

Wes took the bottle and examined it. Charms were more his speciality, but in his days on the Reversal Squad, they had been trained to spot certain potions that altered the mind and just caused chaos to the people who digested them. He popped the top off the bottle and took a sniff--BLEGHHH. Whoever had brewed this had DEFINITELY known what they were doing...the strong scent indicated that the potion was highly concentrated and therefore, realllyyyyy strong.

"That's definitely a Confusing and Befuddlement Draught," he concluded. So, her memory wasn't modified, she was just...well, confused. "Alright ummmm..." hmm, what to do now? Obviously an antidote was in order, but first they needed to figure out what ingredients were in this potion, so they could counteract it in the antidote.

"Anyone here know the ingredients for this potion? I can't remember off the top of my head, but I am quite certain sneezewort is one of them..."

Samuel had been listening to the conversation between the woman (Calla) and Miss Clueless, but he didn't speak a word until the woman rushed off to the Breakroom and returned minutes later with a cup. For the love of merlin, who keeps a POTION in a refrigerator where everyone could get to it?! This place was crazy.

"Confusing and Befuddlement Draught," he repeated. "Isn't, ummm, scurvy-grass used in that potion, too?" Sam wasn't the one that was an expert in potions, but he did remember a few stuff here and there. This was the time when he wished he had a pocket-sized Potions book.

She looked to the floor, racking her brain for the answer. She hadn't studied potions in GAH! 10 years... Looking back up to the men her brow was furrowed and she looked to be in deep concentration. She searched their faces as if that would give her a clue.

She spoke lowly, nearly to herself, "It seems like there's one more ingrediant... I wanna say it starts with an L" She pushed her hair behind her ear.

She looked toward the office door, wondering if Gavin knew the ingrediant. "LOVAGE!" She blurted out. For some reason when she thought of Gavin the word came to her.

"The last ingrediant was lovage. Wow, I can't believe I remembered that. Sooo, either of you know how to brew it?" A single eyebrow rose, this was certainly nothing that she could help with. Now, if they wanted a nice hot meal she could whip that up in a moment.

She looked at Wes and then to the other man (sam) ... "I'm sorry, because of all this I havn't introduced myself. I'm Calla Ainsworth" It was getting annoying that she didn't know how to refer to the man.

Catherine was just shaking there while everyone was talking about flowers? well she thought they were talking about flowers. Catherine didn't like the talk of this too much and she got really scared while more people were getting off the lifts, she took her moment and dashed down the hallway looking for an open door.

As the woman darted away Calla knew it was not for the best. "NO! Stay!"

She needed to stay put. Restraining her was the best option. Pointing her wand at Tasha/Catherine she shouted, "Incarcerous". Ropes flew from the tip of her wand in the direction of the woman. She really didn't want to have to do it, but what else choice did she have?

"What are you doing?!" Zack exclaimed. He guessed that the woman shouldn't be leaving the lifts, but having her bound like that seemed really extreme.

L...L...L...

Yeah, nothing came to his mind.

"Lovage," Sam said. "Ohhh, yeah. That's what it was." He really needed to find out after this was over if stuff like this happened on regular bases because IF it did, he was taking a trip to Flourish and Blotts (hopefully he won't get lost this time) and get a little potion book.

"I could brew it if someone had a Potions book on them," he replied. "I don't really know it off the top of my head." It wasn't like he memorized Potions ingredients and instructions in his spare time.

"Samuel McDean," the man introduced himself. "Do call me Sam, though. It's nice to meet you, Calla."

His eyes widened when Miss Clueless took off running. OHMYGOSH! "SOMEONE STOP HER!" He exclaimed. Just as those words left his mouth, Calla had shot a spell towards her. "Hopefully that will keep her there until we figure out a way to brew the potion," he added.

Turning his attention to the other man in the corridor besides Wes, he just shrugged his shoulders. "She tried to get away," he replied. "We couldn't let her run off in her...condition."
