*After an amazingly short nights rest that had maybe 20 minutes of actual rest, Romulus made his way to his house table. Still trying to rub the sleep out of his eyes he soon found a spot to sit. Instead of loading up his plate with food to get him through the day Romulus laid his head down on a plate and fell asleep. His intention had been to eat but the poor Hufflepuff fell asleep while reaching out to grab a muffin.*

Dec munched on his snacks while staring down the vile of hate potion he had brewed standing on the table. Was he looking forward to this? No. Was he kind of scared to this? Yes and No, because he was actually excited to do this. This might be the least Hufflepuff thing he'd get to do!

Finishing off the last bite, he washed down anything he had left with water, so it didn't interfere with the effects of the potion. He took the stopper off the top and quickly drank it down before he started to remember what went into it.

BLERGH!!!!!

This thing was way more bitter than your standard cup of joe.

Marigold was just casually strolling into the Great Hall, holding a flask of the hate potion she made in potions. She had homework, yo. She skipped down to her house table, sat across from some random person, then drank the bitter liquid. She looked across the table at the person and realized it was Declan. There was a brief moment where the potion must not have been working, because at first she said, "Oh no."

But then hatred coursed through her, hitting her in the stomach and making her feel sick. Looking back up at her cousin, she glared daggers. She gritted her teeth and clenched her fists. From the smirk he usually wore to the way he said stuff to her-

She hated it all.

He slammed down the vial onto the table, gritting his teeth against the feeling of the potion hitting the bottom of his stomach. He was looking down, feeling himself going through some weird transformation in all his body. Almost like some weird Dr. Banner morphing into the Hulk feeling.

Dec felt someone sit across from him. WHY CAN'T ANYONE JUST LEAVE HIM ALONE!?! He looked up from his lap, grinding his teeth in irritation, to see who was bothering him. He glared at the girl across the table in pure rage. "MARIGOLD." The eighteen year-old growled, staring down his cousin.

Marigold was SO ANGRY at Declan, so FILLED WITH RAGE that he DARED to CALL her BY her NAME that she just made a wolverine-esque sound from her throat that she didn't know she could make and she was CRYING she was so angry at him, angry tears were being brushed away WITH RAGE by her clenched fists and she just glared at her cousin, hating him all the while.

"What.Do. You.WANT????" she asked through clenched teeth, before banging both her fists down on the table.

WHAT DID HE WANT?! What did HE want?! "STOP CRYING, YOU BIG BABY! I WAS HERE FIRST, YOU IDIOT!" He slammed his own hands against the table, pushing himself up from his seat. He was so done, SO DONE, with this annoying little girl! Look at her blubbering like an infant! PATHETIC!

Dec towered over the table, glaring down Marigold with fire in his eyes, "WHAT DO YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU WANT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He hissed, each word dripping heavily with venom.

Marigold stood up as well, matching Declan in rage if not height. She was still angry crying, her hands trembling too. "I AM NOT A BIG BABY, YOU JERK! I CAN BE WHEREVER I WANT TO BE." She angrily stared him down, then growled.

"What I WANT is for YOU to LEAVE and BE AWFUL SOMEWHERE ELSE, YOU MEANIE."

Hate. She hated him.

How dare she rise up to him?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!!? "IF YOU'RE NOT A BIG BABY, THEN YOU BE A WHINING CHILD, CHILD." Dec's hand clamped around a goblet, squeezing angrily. SO TEMPTED, SO TEMPTED.

"I'LL BE AWFUL WHERE I WANT BE, YOU HORRIBLE BEING. HOW ARE YOU EVEN RELATED TO ME?!" How?!!! How does he even share blood with a petty person like this?!

Breakfast time, best meal of the day, if you asked Toby. Then again, if you asked Toby, the best meal of the day was........... every meal. All of them. All food.

The Hufflepuff had actually already eaten today, on the way back from his morning run, but he still liked to go into the Great Hall and fill up on more food before a proper day of learning; after all, he needed to eat a lot to keep up with the kind of energy he was burning off. And today, he had his little fairy friends who would probably LOVE the Great Hall.

Toby strode into the Hall and took a seat at the end of his house table, placing his jar of fairies in front of him. He grabbed a slice of toast or four and dropped them onto his plate, before reaching into his pocket and pulling out the fairy food bottle. Watching the inhabitants of the jar closely, Toby opened up the jar and sprinkled the fairy food inside, before re-lidding it. He slipped the bottle back into his pocket, reached blindly for a slice of toast (as he was still staring into the jar) and chewed on it thoughtfully as he watched the fairies eat.

... And dance. Always with the dancing. Toby supposed that was because they were so ENERGISED after getting their food or something, which he could definitely relate to.

The more Toby watched the fairies, the more aware he became of their subtle differences. If he had time today, he would definitely need to sit down and write those differences out, and think up names for the fairies, though he already had one in mind.

With the fairies glowing and dancing in the jar beside him, loving the attention they were getting, Toby wolfed down the rest of his toast, washed it all down with some pumpkin juice, and left the hall again to pick up his schoolbag. He was still deciding whether or not to take the fairies with him to classes.

It was a new day and Adi was up early. Mainly because his fairies had decided they would be his alarm clock today with their buzzing. Yup. And now he had finally made his way down to the Great Hall (still feeling sleepy) but very much hungry. The fairies weren't in his hair as usual but he had them safely tucked away in the jar which he was carrying in his hands.

Since Adi was always visiting other House tables during meal times, he decided this tie he would sit at his own House table. His selection for breakfast? Toast. Was there coffee anywhere? He could use the extra boost in energy.

Anywaaay. His fairies needed food too. Adi had that bottle Professor Thompson had given them in his bag which he now brought out. "So, listen you two. When I open this jar, please don't fly out. I've got to get to class soon and I don't think it would be okay if you're seen on my head.'' He paused. "You'll get the hair later.'' Hehe.

Adi cautiously removed the lid a bit (just in case the fairies didn't want to listen to him) and let a few drops of their food fall safely into the jar. "Eat up.'' Lid back on and bottle back into his bag, the boy joined his fairies in getting started on breakfast.

He couldn't find the March Hare or the dormouse anywhere. The hatter just didn't know where they could be at a time like this. Maybe hiding for his unbirthday? Now that would be a hoot and a half. He always liked playing games. Just as long as they hadn't gotten a warning about the Red Queen and neglected to tell him.

Wherever they were, what he had found was a jar with two fairies in it within the bag he now possessed. An awesome discovery. But they looked hungry and his own stomach was grumbling. Perhaps it was time for a tea party. Making his way through a maze of corridors from the outside the Mad Hatter finally found a large room full of goodies! Stupendous! He made his way over to one of the long tables and sat across from a boy dressed with yellow. But his attention was drawn away by a teapot.

"Perfect! Time for a nice spot of tea," he said excitedly moving to pour himself a nice cup with two lumps of sugar and some milk. Taking a sip and smiling goofily at the taste he remembered the fairies and took out the jar. "There..." he said as he placed them on the table beside him. "A party for all. " The fairies within chittering and buzzing to get his attention. "Of course...you must eat too," he agreed as he searched for the other bottle he had found in the bag. Fairy food it had said.

"Here you go pretties," he said with a giggle as he opened the jar and sprinkled food within. Much to the delight of the inhabitants.

Adi watched happily as his fairies ate their breakfast. He would be a saaad Hufflepuff when the time came to return them to Professor Thompson. He wondered if there was a chance he coulld keep them...no. That wouldn't be right. They deserved to be flying free. But he could let them out for periods of time. He trusted them and they trusted him. Plus they loved his hair way too much. LOL.

He was onto his second piece of toast when the guy bestie turned up. Adi opened his mouth, all set to greet Benny with a cheery 'Good Morning' who was making himself and his jar of fairies comfortable across the table from him when he suddenly stopped. Instead, he observed the Gryffindor. More like staaared at him. You see, Adi knew his bestie as well as the other boy knew him and he could immediately tell that something was off yet again. Reasons?

1. Benny failed to acknowledge his presence.
2. He seemed waaaaaay too happy.
3. Too many words were coming out of his mouth in such a short amount of time.

Adi set down his toast. "Morning, Benny. You okay?'' Was this a repeat of Potions? Did Benny take that Potion Culloden had given him AGAIN?

While his fairy comrades ate their own food, the Hatter prepared his own breakfast, picking up one slice of toast and a knife. "Some BUT-ter," he said exageratedly as he smeered some butter on his knife and onto his piece of toast with big strokes. Then in the same manner, he scooped some raspberry jam with his knife as well. "Some Jam too." Then he took a bite of it, swallowing before taking another sip from his tea.
It was then that he noticed someone staring at him.

Benny?!

The Mad Hatter looked around as if for someone else. Wait...was that his name? Everyone always referred to his occupation that he had lost track.

"What...?" he questioned, looking back at the other boy as he ate at his piece of toast."Oh well Good morning dear sir...I am good but we must move down. Another place...another pot of tea." With that he scooped up his jar of fairies and got back up to his feet, shuffling down a seat at the bench before sitting down once more.

"Move down...move down...move down..." he instructed his companion. Didn't he know the rules? he mused to himself as he searched for another tea cup free.

AJ was groggy and hungry. She stumbled all the way down to breakfast. Her eyes scanned the puffer table, and landed on her boyfriend. Why not go and have some breakfast with him? Her feet automatically started in that direction.

As she got closer she could hear Benny. It wasn't unusual at all for the older lion to be hanging out with Adi at the puff table, but what was unusual was that she could hear him talking loudly. That was strange. The boy hardly talked at all.

Finally she made it to the table, and lazily sat down beside Adi with a yawn. "What about butts?" AJ squeezed Adi's hand. "Hey Ben-" Why was he moving? "Am I interrupting something?" She could still go eat breakfast with her table. No biggie.

One more thing to add to that list:

4. Benny was SHOUTING.

Cue a very confused Hufflepuff bestie. This was not Benjamin Finnigan Atreyu aka Benny the Dragon. And by the look of that shy face, Benny was confused too. Why? His name is Benny. Sir? SIR? Adi stared some more. "My name is not Sir,'' he pointed out as he regarded his friend. "Why are you so suddenly obsessed with tea?''

Adi did not budge from his spot. He refused to. Not until he figured out what was going on. ''I will most certainly not move down.'' He was only a little distracted from this strange, new Benny when AJ joined them. "Hey, AJ.'' He returned the hand squeeze but did not let go of her hand. "No you're not. Other than Benny's new behaviour.'' Pause to stare some moaaar. "He has a thing for tea apparently.''

And back to regarding the other boy and trying to figure out what's wrong.

Interrupted something?! Cue questioning tilt of his head at the name again.

The Mad Hatter then chuckled as he finished making up his latest cup, straightening up his head to take a sip. "Oh no my dear, but you're just in time for a spot of tea. " He looked around again and swipped a small pastry to have. The Hatter taking a bite and enjoying it. "Well how would I know it's not Sir? Are you sure it isn't?" Cue another bite and another sip.

"Why cause its a tea party of course!" Well duh!

"Or perhaps just a scone for you. Or two or three," he added, holding out a plate of them he found. He frowned as the boy refused to move down, placing the plate back down and ducking underneath the table only to come back up the other side beside Adi. "Oh but you must move down," the hatter exclaimed , taking the boy's are and trying to pull him down the bench,

"You must...you must...move down...move down." he repeated in a sing-song voice as he was smiling again and continued to try and move his companion.

Adi didn't let go of her hand, and she didn't want him to. "Good, then I will stay." She didn't really want to have to leave him, but she would have if something personal was going on between the besties. Oh, but he did mention something about Benny's odd behavior. Tea? "Tea's okay, I guess. I mean hot chocolate is better." But if Benny wanted tea, let the boy have tea.

My dear? AJ was still not fully awake, and she thought for a moment that she hadn't heard Benny correctly. "Aren't you super cheerful this morning." Why was he so cheerful, and better yet so talkative? "You feeling okay there, Benny?" Hmmm. There went the mentioning of tea again. "Ummm... how about some orange juice or hot chocolate instead?" No tea for her, thanks.

"I'll take a scone." Then Benny popped up on the other side of Adi, and grabbed his arm. This was starting to get weird. "Why do you need him to move down so bad? I think we are pretty comfortable where we are." She glanced at Adi with a confused expression. Did they need to tackle and drag him to the healer?

My dear? Item number five:

5. Benny was talking very weirdly.

Adi shot a questioning look at AJ. "Of course I'm sure it's not my name. Just as sure I am that yours is Benny.'' Look at him. Eating as if he didn't have a care in the world. Well, maybe he didn't but every time something went different about him, Adi's always the one to do the worrying.

Tea party? "I think I missed the invite to that,'' Adi stated dryly. "But AJ's right. Hot chocolate is way better.'' Scones? The Hufflepuff was momentarily distracted. He loved scones. "I'll take two. Or three.'' Seriously, they could join the stash of chocolate froggies in his bag.

Two scones safely wrapped in a napkin and in his bag, Adi looked back at Benny as he bit into a scone. Er. Where did he go? O_O Oh! He had popped up next to the Puffer. Not your typical Benjamin Atreyu behaviour.

Okaaay, now THIS really was NOT Benny behaviour. This pulling. The singing like thing that he was doing. EVERYTHING for that matter. "Like AJ said, we're comfortable here. Why don't we move all the tea to you?'' Everybody would be happy then.

The Mad Hatter tilted his head as he was asked questions. "This is how I always am," he said matter-of-factly. He wasn't more cheerful or less cheerful. Just him. And Benny...who was this Benny? Was it really him? Oh, but he had gotten so used to his name. It wouldn't do...so he chose to ignore the very mention of it. "I'm a bit mad...but then we're all a bit here." The chesaire cat certainly had his moments. The Queen too but he'd never admit that aloud lest she here and be all...

OFF WITH HIS HEAD!

"For shame!!! You must always be invited...but no bother you're here now." Dear me they wanted scones and he happily gave them over. If only they had a bit of mustard, his own would have been quite yummy.

Hatter continued to pull but the boy wouldn't budge and the girl beside him remained stubborn to. "Fine..." he said with a hmph as he climbed onto the table and sat cross-legged facing the other two. "At least a new cup..." he said, picking up Adi's cup of pumpkin juice and banished it, picking up a mug and the hot chocolate. "New cup...new cup...new cup..." he said in his lilted voice as he poured, his head swaying from side to side as he did before placing the new mug in front of the boy.

Another yawn escaped her lips. It wasn't as if her companions were boring her, it was quite the opposite. Benny was outright entertaining. She was still just trying to wake up.

"You are not always like this." Leave it to AJ to just blurt out whatever came to mind. Her mind flashed back to Benny barely speaking and forever turning red. While Benny has managed to come out of his shell since dating Angel, this was extreme.

"Wait until I tell my sister that you've gone looney tunes." Then again, Angel could be pretty looney tunes herself. Maybe this was her doings after all.

Annnnd he was yelling again. What were they supposed to be invited to? Was this a party? Yes, Benny... we ARE here. Are you here?

"Heeeeeey. I want some hot chocolate too." AJ was still here, ya know." "And I want a new cup... NEW CUP... NEW CUP too." It was only fair.

Onto the last task of the homework and that is cleaning out the jar. He smiled at his fairies and waved to them. They both smiled and waved back. They were cuddling on the big leaf he gave them. He told them, "I am gonna clean your jars if that is okay.." He opened the jar and let them go on the paper. "You can just relax here.." he smiled. He got some water from his wand with the charm, "Aguamenti!" and put it on a rag and began cleaning their residue and dust. The fairies were looking at their newly cleaned jar. The male fairy stepped up and said, "Thank you.." while holding his girlfriends hand. Kace nodded and replied, "Anytime for you guys.." He motioned for his head to let them into the jar. They nodded and went into it soo willingly. "Time to bring you back to the classroom.." he told them and left the great hall and onto handing in his assignment.

It was time to eat for both Lux and her little fairies.

After taking a seat, she placed the jar on the table by her plate. Her little friends would get their food first because they were good and deserved a nice meal. Looking through her bag, she found the bottle of fairy food and sprinkled some into the jar through the air holes.

Smiling, she watched them eat while wondering what was in the powder. If it wasn't listed on the label, she could ask Professor Thompson. She also wanted to maybe keep the fairies but wasn't sure if that would be allowed or not. They had really grown on her and they were rather cute. Right now they were happily flying around the jar and doing a little fairy dance.

Haha, that was so precious.

Taking a blue plastic cup out of her bag, Lux used Aquamenti to fill it with water before shrinking it down in size. Carefully she opened the lid of the jar and placed the cup at the bottom. Now her fairies could have a nice drink.

Their meal was taken care of, so she poured herself a glass of pumpkin juice and then piled food on he plate.

Toby had managed to get himself into a good daily routine, especially when it came to feeding the fairies. He'd worked out that he ate his own dinner approximately 12 hours after eating breakfast, and so it made sense to bring his little fairy troupe along (inside the lidded jar) to those meals and feed them then.

After dropping off his school bag and collecting the fairies, Toby headed straight for the Great Hall. He sat at the Hufflepuff table, piling his plate with as much food as he could fit onto it, and poured himself some pumpkin juice.

Before he started digging in, the Hufflepuff grabbed the fairy food bottle from his pocket and opened up the lid of the jar. Like every other night, the fairies were content to stay inside and react to the attention they were getting from other kids while Tobias sprinkled enough food inside for all of them.

As he was about to put the lid back onto the jar, something caught Toby's eye. He squinted and leaned in a little closer, as his stomach growled in protest from being kept from the tasty Hogwarts food for so long. Toby squinted into the jar for a moment longer, but eventually leaned back and put the lid back on. He THOUGHT he'd seen fairy eggs in there, but couldn't tell for sure with the way the candlelight in the Hall was shining off the glass.

Toby checked to make sure all the fairies were happy with their food, and flying around, showing off or whatever, and then tucked into his own meal.

As always, he wolfed the lot down with almost superhuman speed, in pure Tobias Tempus fashion, until his overladen plate was completely empty. He decided to skip dessert, knowing that he had a whole load of delicious homemade treats in his dormitory. Instead, Toby picked up the jar, ensured that he still had the food bottle in his pocket, and headed back to the Hufflepuff common room.

In the process of fairysitting, Lux had quickly worked herself into a nice routine of feeding them every 12 hours on the dot before letting them get some exercise. Her little fairy friends were relying on her to take care of them and she would not let them down.

Taking a seat at her House table, she placed the jar in front of her and smiled at them before making a funny face. They liked when she made faces at them because it always made them to laugh. It was nice to hear them laugh though even their humming was nice after a little while.

"Food time!" she announced as she pulled the bottle of fairy food and shook it so they could see. Sprinkling some food into their jar, she was glad to see how eagerly they ate it up. That fairy food must be super yummy to them, because they always were like that when it was meal time. "Eat up and then it's time for exercise!" Nothing like being active, and stretching their wings was good for them.
