Welcome to your second duel!
This is a key stepping stone into determining your placement in the Jinx Tournament so please take this seriously. A list of spells to use can be found HERE while the cost of physical actions can be found below.
Please note that these actions take away from the Fatigue Points section. Also note that these are only taken into account if you're attacking or avoiding a spell. If you're simply moving around the hall, these points don't need to be considered.

Professor Hirsch will be present to oversee the duels and will only interfere if the duel ends or any foul play or unsportsmanship-like behaviour is displayed.
Please remember to adhere to the Dueling Club rules, the DADA rules as well as the SS Site rules.

OOC: This duel must be completed by the 30th of October by 11:59pm GMT. You're required to make a minimum of 3 posts each in that time.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate in contacting me about them or posting them in the Dueling Club Rules thread. If you don't think you can post during that time or you don't think you can start/finish your duel, please let me know as soon as possible and we'll try and work something out.
Remember to keep a track of your points both in the title of your post (before any spells have been cast) and at the end of the post (after your charrie has cast a spell). Please refer to this post if you're confused as to how this works or, simply, come to me. Include as much information as you can about the spell in the spoiler section at the bottom of your post, including the directionality of the spell.
Also remember to be as realistic as possible with your charrie's age and ability.
First person mentioned in the thread title is the first person to start off the duel.

Alice looked across the way at Katerina. Who she thought was nice for the longest time.. Now she thought a little less so. She thought to herself that this was for Oliver..
Right. She had to bow. Couldn't forget that. So she did and had a little smirk on her face as she did. She was doing her best to channel her childhood hero. What would Maleficent do if she was a 13 year old girl in a dueling club? Alice wasn't completely sure but she liked to think that she knew.. and she'd been practicing this one for a little bit now.. She raised her wand and uttered as clear as day " Draconifors" She intended to create a dragon to help her in this fight.

Normally Kat would be trilled to be dueling against a older student. Except for this time she was dueling Alice Lupin, Yes the sister of the boy that she recently pretty much broke his heart.She really didn't mean it. She just kind of.... well she liked Cornelius more than Oliver. What was a girl suppose to do? And now of all people she was dueling a girl that was probably not on too good of terms with her. Angry sisters were angry.
She'd be angry with any girl that hurt her brother. So this duel was sure to be one of her toughest. Hirsch REALLY did have a sense of humor with pairing up dueling partners. But how did he know? or was it fate or krama? She would go with the latter.
Bowing as they took their s pots in the arena. She took a deep breath, she had been nervous about this all week. Along with staying up and studying for it and classes she was tired too. A Dragon? "Can't do this on your own?" She spend all this time studying for the duel to deal with a dragon? That's great.
WHAT IN THE NAME OF MERLIN WAS SHE SUPPOSE TO DO? She quickly turned her wand on the dragon and said "Duro." She could keep that stone dragon for a trophy right?

Alice grumbled to herself once she saw the dragon turn to stone.. WHY would this girl stop her fun? She was clearly trying to live her childhood dreams and not just that but defend her brother's honor!
They were wolves and loyalty to family was the most important.
She had to plan her next move. But also think fast.. because what even. She needed to keep Kat from moving around.. " Immobulus!" she flicked her wand carefully at Katerina.

Oh did the little dragon turn into home decor? Awww so sad. Katerina couldn't help when she was in the dueling arena she had the tendency to be a ferocious troll. No doubt she was concerned with Alice's come back for the stoned dragon.
Seeing the Immobulus spell coming her way, Kat only had a few seconds to defend herself again it. "PROTEGO!" She ended up screaming it instead. Thinking quickly, she sent the bubble charm toward her. "Anteoculatia!" Maybe antler would suit her better and she could try out for the leading role in Bambi next. But just in case, she sent the disarming spell right behind it. "Expelliarmus!" Hoping that at least one of the two spells would hit and about she wouldn't me able to defend both incoming spells.

Hirsch wasn't sure how to feel about this. It was some impressive piece of spellwork and, from a professor point of view, he was rather impressed but it was a dragon. In a duel. Between two third years. Both of whom seemed to have a personal vendetta against one another, from what he could tell.
Yeah, he didn't know how to feel about any of this.
Concentrating on something he knew a lot about (i.e. the duel itself), the man let it continue, highly grateful that he didn't have to step in because of the dragon. But it seemed as though there wasn't much left of the duel after the dragon incident because, all of a sudden, the time was coming to a close.
Slightly grateful, Hirsch struck up the protective shield and stepped out of the shadows. "That...... was very advanced. Very advanced, indeed." Make of that comment what you will. "Well done, both of you. You've shown some great skill here today. For the sake of the competition, only one of you can win so congratulations, Miss Delgado. You've taken the lead today. And well done on your efforts, Miss Lupin."
Well done to you too, dragon.
