| | |  Art Classroom
 Located not too far from the Muggle Studies classroom is where you can find a space dedicated to all things related to arts and crafts. In this classroom, students such as yourself will be exposed to famous historical and modern Muggle and Wizard artists and strengthen your artistic abilities. Here numerous styles and techniques will be observed, and an array of projects will be produced and put on display for all to see.
When you enter the art classroom, you quickly realize that it is not set up like others in the castle. There are no desks in the vibrantly coloured room covered with paintings and other gizmos and gadgets aplenty. In the centre is a large table that is meant to serve as a universal workstation. Scattered around the room are smaller, individualized tables, easels, and shelves containing a number of books and any supplies your creative mind may need. Tucked in the back is a dark room for developing photographs. Everything in this room is for you to use, so long as you clean up after yourself.

Adrian hadn’t exactly meant to end up in the art room - but then again, half the places he found himself in were accidents he didn’t feel like correcting. The Muggle Studies corridor had been blissfully empty, and when he’d ducked into the first open doorway, he wasn’t expecting… this. “Right,” he muttered under his breath, slipping his hands into his pockets, “So this is where creativity comes to die.”
Still, he wandered further in, pausing by the big central table covered in brushes and jars and scraps of half-finished ideas. One of the sketches there was of the castle... neat yet a little bland. Adrian tilted his head, something effortlessly turning in his noggin up there.
Picking up stick of charcoal - he swiftly added a few quick strokes, and suddenly the sketch had a whole different mood: looming storm clouds curling over the turrets, a jagged bolt of lightning slashing the sky, “Better."

Aurora was feeling the urge to work on a new art piece and since there wasn’t an art club meeting today, she decided she would just come to the art room by herself and spend a good while creating whatever came to her mind.
Stepping into the classroom, she was surprised to see a boy she wasn’t familiar with working on an art piece of his own. She didn’t remember seeing him in art club, so she figured he was just having some fun. It wouldn’t have even occurred to her that he was adding onto something that another person had created.
As it was she smiled as she watched him work. ”Nice aesthetic.” While Aurora liked sunny weather, she also held an appreciation for rain. | |

Adrian froze just for a second.... long enough to register that he’d been caught mid-vandalism - before glancing over his shoulder. The girl who’d spoken didn’t look angry, though, so he let the corner of his mouth curve into something between a smirk and an apology.
“Glad someone thinks so,” he said, straightening up and brushing charcoal dust off his fingertips. “The original felt like it was begging for a little chaos”
He nodded toward the storm-darkened towers in the sketch, then looked back at her with a raised brow. “...I didn’t mess up something important, did I?” It was too late to be considerate, and it wouldn't have mattered if someone hadn't caught him ... but eh.

Wait... what?
Aurora's eyes widened. Had he... taken someone else's artwork and added onto it??? She had no idea why he would do that as opposed to working on something of his own. All it did was ruin something that someone else had worked on. While it definitely did add a nice aesthetic onto the work, it hadn't been his to add on to. And the creator may have intended to add on to it anyway.

Adrian winced a little, not dramatically, more as a gesture to maybe acknowledge her point. He tapped the edge of the sketch with one finger, leaving a faint charcoal smudge. “Guess I just saw an empty sky and couldn’t help myself.” His tone wasn’t defensive, more self-aware, wry.
After a second, he looked back at her, a hint of a grin tugging at the corner of his mouth. “Don’t worry, I’m not usually in the business of destroying masterpieces. I just… improvise. You ever get that itch? To fix something that’s already fine?” He tilted his head, studying her with faint curiosity. “Or are you one of those artists who actually respects boundaries?”

It was clear that he hadn’t considered any of this before he had began adding to the artwork. He had just wanted to add onto something that he felt had need fixing. This was something Aurora could understand even if she would have never done what he had.
Despite herself, she couldn’t help but return the smile. He seemed friendly enough, and she knew that he hadn’t meant any harm. It was a good lesson learned. ”I see. And I do get that urge sometimes. I think everyone does. Are you interested in art?” She guessed so because otherwise she had no idea what he was doing here. Unless it was only out of curiosity. ”I can’t say I have added onto anyone’s artwork. But I’m sure we can fix it. Revert it to how it originally was.” Nod.
After a moment she added, ”I’m Aurora by the way.” | |

Adrian’s grin softened into something a little more genuine, less smug, more amused. “ ‘Fix’ is a strong word,” he said, glancing back at the storm he’d conjured across the parchment. “Let’s call it… creative collaboration.”
He straightened, wiping his thumb along his trousers to clear the charcoal. “And yeah, I guess I am into art.” he added as if he was very unsure still. At her suggestion to fix the piece however, he tilted his head, as if weighing it. “We could,” he agreed, but then added: “....or we could not” Because clearly his version was better.
When she introduced herself, he nodded, “Aurora,” he repeated, as if testing the sound of it. “I’m Adrian.” He extended a slightly smudged hand toward her. “Very uninvited, resident vandal, apparently.”

Aurora nodded. Creative collaboration was definitely a better word for it than fixing. Though of course said creative collaboration should be done with everyone involved being aware and agreeing to it. Something she hoped he was aware of.
”You might like art club then.” While he seemed to be quite unsure, the fact that he had added onto a piece the way he did showed he had creativity. And it was better for him to channel that in his own work - if he wanted to pursue it that was. ”It’s a fun club.” He may enjoy it. The next comment had Aurora raising her brow. Not in judgment so much as questioning if he actually felt that way.
She grinned as he introduced himself, eyeing his smudged hand before taking it in hers. ”I wouldn’t say uninvited.” Everyone was welcome here, and Aurora hoped she could make a new friend. | |
