A large area in the middle of the library has been cleared out by Mr Kitridge for the afternoon's book club meeting. Two big sacks of beans bags in every colour of the rainbow wait’s to be picked up and used by the students. There are also some chairs and tables scattered around the open space if some attending professors or the special guest would prefer sitting on a chair rather than a bean bag. For this special book club meeting Mr Kitridge has lifted his rule against food and beverages in the library. On one of the larger tables there is a big tea set, cups, plates, cookies and of course bowls of ice cream and necessary plastic silverware. Mr Kitridge can be spotted sitting on a lime green bean bag reading a magazine.
OOC: Feel free to post arriving by grabbing a bean bag to sit on and if you fancy some tea, cookies or ice cream and chat a little with your peers. The book club meeting won’t start until after 3 pm GMT on Wednesday 12th of June.

A book club? Hahahahaha, good one. Didn't those entail actually having to read something and being around books? Hah. No. She'd pass on that thanks. Books weren't her thing. So then, why was she heading into the library carrying her favourite of all the books she could actually stand to read? Simple. Both Lottie and Aidan liked reading, why? Merlin knew. The point was, they were likely to be there and if they weren't well...maybe Cassia? Though she didn't think the girl liked reading either.
It didn't matter. If they began talking about boring things she would proceed to reading her book on hexing and forgot all about them. That was her reason for taking it with her. Nod.
Ooooooooooooo!!!
Ice-cream!!! Boring books or not, she was now VERY happy that she came. She grabbed a bowl of ice-cream and some cookies then plopped down in one of the bean bag chairs (a blue one). "Hello Mr. Kitridge!!" BEEAM. "I must say the ice-cream was a nice touch!!!" Now to wait on anyone else to show up.

~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Jory arrived at the Library for the book meeting a little early. Apparently too early, as he could only see Alexa when he got there. "Hello, Alexa!'' But he did spot Mr. Kitridge reading a magazine. "Hi, Mr Kitridge!'' Jory said, headed over to the table where stuff had been set out. Lookie! Ice cream!!! Just what he wanted!
The Puffer grabbed a bowl of chocolate ice cream and a spoon and made his way over to an orange bean bag. The others could take their time to arrive. It was just him and ice cream.

Book club.
Ella was a fan of books and clubs so naturally she made her way to the library, a small smile on her face.
Ice cream and tea? BEAM. The blonde bounced a bit at the sight of those things and calmed down enough to manage a proper greeting for Mr. Kitridge. "Hello Sir! Nice to see you." Now what to do first, bean bag or food?
Hmm...Bean bag.
The blonde lifted a green one up and brought it over to where Mr. Kitridge was sitting, placing her bag down on top of it. See? That was her chair now.
The sixteen year old then hurried over to the table to get herself a BIG bowl of ice cream. YUP.
This thirteen year old was super excited for the book club meeting. She loved to read already, so reading and discussing books with friends was just like the cherry on top of a great big heap of ice cream. With whipped cream and sprinkles and chocolate syrup. And maybe a dash of cookie crumbles too. "Hi Mr. Kitridge!" she said cheerily to the librarian in his green bean bag.
And Oh, look! There were cookies and ice cream at the meeting! Awesome! She put a few cookies on a plate and grabbed a bowl of ice cream. And since I was already thinking of it, she thought as she picked up a cookie. Cookie crumbles into the ice cream! She made sure not to drop any pieces though, because this was the library and it was sacred ground.
With her snacks prepped for enjoyment, she sunk into an indigo colored bean bag and waited for the meeting to start.
Aidan, though excited at first, debated about how cool it would be to come. Finally, he decided that it might not initially be cool, but smart. And smart was cool. So into the library he went.
His eyes lit up at the ice cream. How rebellious to eat in the library!! He grabbed a bowl and hoped there would still be some for seconds later. Then he grabbed a green bean bag and scanned the area for a place to sit.
...Where he spotted Lex. The Ravenclaw tossed the bean bag beside her and plopped down into it. "You're at a book club?" he smirked, extremely amused. The only way this wouldn't be surprising, would be if Lex had known about the ice cream before. But he certainly had no idea, so how could she? Also, "AND you have a book?!"

Lex carefully set her book down before starting on her ice-cream. Every page of that book was VALUABLE! She NEEDED every hex in there and couldn't afford for them to be smeared out with ice-cream. Now then, she got super comfy and watched everyone rolling in. "Haaaaai Jory!!" She responded with a grin once he greeted her. Oh and the others were coming in too! They got waves--
AIDAN!!
Yes! Thank MERLIN! For a moment she thought showing up would have been a regretted action but he came!! Awesome! If only Lottie would show up too, that would be great! "I am." She responded, matter of factly before shooting him a grin. "But I'm not here for the books or reading, so don't get that twisted." Reading still wasn't something she made a habit of. NOPE. "And don't look so surprized. I own books, just not many."
More importantly. "You're here! I might have died of boredom linked to reading, you know."

Today was the book club meeting and she wanted to visit it. Since she was at Hogwarts she had learned to love books, not the study books of course, but the books with the stories, fairytales and more. So, she decided to visit the book club and headed toward the library.
When she arrived she saw that there were already a few students present and she smiled at them. “Hi” greeted the young girl in general and when she looked further she saw that there was… food inside the library? That was strange! But… She was happy with it, it was cold in the castle and she wanted to warm her hands with something. She saw that there was some tea and she took a cup in her cold hands before she sat down on one of the beanbags.
She’d be a pretty bad Ravenclaw if she didn’t think so, though. The fourth year toddled down to the library, wearing her reading glasses as well as her brand new retainer. She looked, in her opinion, much smarter with glasses on, even if she didn’t actually have to wear them all the time. The retainer, however, wasn’t optional, according to the dentist she’d seen over Christmas.
PFFT.
Muggle.
She used her index finger to push her glasses further up her nose and peered around the door of the library. She just had to make sure it looked mildly interesting first before she made an appearance, ya know? Asdfghjkl Tea, biscuits and ice-cream. Yes, she was was definitely going to this shin-dig. “Hello Mr. Librarian.” She beamed and nodded at him. Was he even a professor? Beeeeetter not ask, if she wanted a cookie, yes?
Once she’d gotten her well deserved cookie and mug of tea (it was a long trek down from the Ravenclaw tower!) and sank down into a beanbag next to Ella. “Hi Ellagant.” She waved her cookie at the older girl before dunking it into her tea and holding just a tad too long and half of it went soggy and plopped down to the bottom of her mug. Sigh. Life was so difficult for a teenager who just wanted to dunk her cookie into her tea.

Sky quickly poked her head into the special place set aside for the book club, checking to see if there was any indication of cleaning or selling. Nope, all good. Phew. She got that Hogwarts was between a rock and a hard place money-wise, but jeez. But nope, she wasn't going to dwell on that. She going to enjoy this meeting. So, slipped in, grabbed a handful of cookies and parked herself on a purple bean bag, ignoring the sound it made as she sat. Ahh, now this was better. "Hello, Mr. Kitridge, everyone."
Could she just fall asleep here?

Now that she had her ice cream and tea, Ella was ready to go. She carefully returned to her bean bag and got comfy, placing her tea to the side so she could work on her ice cream.
Nom. Nom. Nom. Did Alec know about this book club ice cream business?
"Hey Bluetiful." BEAM. Company was nice and books were nice and ice cream and tea and cookies were lovely. "How's the cookie?" And more importantly, why had Ella not thought to crumble some cookie over her ice cream? UGH. Now she'd have to get back up. She didn't know if she had the energy for that. Comfy bean bag was just too comfy.

Norma hoped that she wasn’t late. She had taken several detours on her way to the library. Hogwarts was just like she remembered it, minus a few of historical artifacts and the addition of some turnstiles. Now the old woman, her large handbag slung over her shoulder, was on the fourth floor following a few students to the library. She was beyond excited to be the guest speaker for the book club meeting. It had been many, many years since she was last inside Hogwarts’ walls. This was just as much of a treat for her as it was for the little ones.
When she made it to the middle of the library, Norma instantly noticed the tea, cookies, and ice cream that had been laid out on one of the tables. This intake of sugar meant that they would be an active group of children, right? Her eyes twinkled with delight as she gazed at those who were already enjoying the goodies that their librarian so kindly left out for them. Speaking of the librarian, Norma finally spotted the man reading a magazine on a lime green bean bag. “Excuse me, Mr. Kitridge?” she asked, hoping he wasn’t too into what he was reading. “I’m Norma Smith. Thank you so much for inviting me here today.”

Sarah bounced into the room and took it all in. "hi professor" she said. Then she spotted Alexa and did a double take - Alexa -the girl that hated reading was here? Perhaps she was turning over a new leaf or she came to keep everyone company.
Sarah picked up a purple beanbag and moved it over to the others and puouffed done into it. "Hi guys!" she said. "hey Lexa, what brings you here to one of my favourite places in Hogwarts".
Then she spotted the food? It usually not allowed, yet now that the professor seemed okay with it, perhaps there was an exemption. She was starving.

Yes, yes. Dylan was here.
Entering the library, the Slytherin Captain strode to the center area where everyone was chilling and hanging out. Looking around and whatnot, there was a brief moment where he assumed he was late.
Blink.
"I'm late?" His tone was questioning as he eyed a few people...but then Dylan spied a refreshment table and stepped on over. Tea and cookies. Why not? Beezus had already destroyed his manliness with her lipstick trick. So, yea....he could be a girl and have tea and cookies.
Yep. No one mind him. Carry on.

So this was Josephina's first time attending one of these book clubs the Librarian held and admittedly she felt slightly awkward being there. But when Leo told her who would be there, she just HAD to come and meet this Norma Smith because her book was simply brilliant!
Stepping into the library, she bit her lip as she glanced around at those present and took in the situation before noting the large table with ICE CREAM. Leo hadn't mentioned there would be food! Helping herself to a large bowl of the cold sweet, she stuck a spoon in the bowl as she made her way over toward where several students were already seated and sat down on a purple bean bag. If she was going to do this she was going to sit on the bean bag like everyone else, not in one of the chairs over there.
Yup, no one mind the professor on the bean bag. She was just going to sit there and enjoy her ice cream.

He chuckled, "What did you come to a book club for, then?" She DID know about the ice cream, didn't she? He'd have to ask her her secret to knowing, then. Maybe he'd join other clubs and things simply because he knew they'd have ice cream.
And okay, okay, he wouldn't look so 'surprised', though he wasn't sure that was even the right word for it. More like....... Nah, he was totally surprised. Aidan grabbed the book from her to read the cover. "This isn't even a proper book," he said, "Looks good, though." But did it have adventure and a plot? Didn't look like it. However, hexes were a pretty brilliant subject to read about.
More chuckling. "I'm here," he wore a smug grin on his face. It was good to know she was excited he came. Like she'd been wanting him to come. He was wanted. And he was also kind of fond of the thought that she seemed to expect him to come. Like, yeah, Aidan Stone was smart and read books and went to meetings about them, yeah.
He gave her back her book and took a spoonful of the ice cream.

Mmk. Let's get one thing straight here. Ascanius was not here for the chatting or the bonding or even the books mostly because his aptitude for Shakespeare would not be appreciated among the likes of them. No, he was here for ONE reason only- the food. For reasons of his own he hadn't really been going to the Great Hall. Yeah? So this was free food and he was going to take any chance he had at that.
So if this Professor bloke wanted to get him to say anything... he was dreaming. Nope, he was just gonna sit there. Problem? Yeah, he didn't think so.
Anyway, Ascanius walked in, dragged a bean bag chair to the center of the room, grabbed some food and plopped down. And no, he wasn't going to say hello.

Yup. Anya Phillips was in the library. Not only that, but Anya Phillips was at a book club meeting. Little known fact: Anya really did enjoy reading, she just didn't enjoy mandatory homework reading. ...Which was probably gave off the impression that she never read. But she wasn't really to blame for that. Who in their right mind enjoyed being forced to read?
So, needless to say, she was a little bit excited to hear about a book club. "Hello." she greeted as she passed the librarian. Was it bad she didn't know his name? She'd only been to the library a handful of times since she started school.
She made a mental note to learn his name.
She grabbed herself a heaping pile of ice cream (YUMMMMM!) and a drink before comfortably flopping into a bean bag chair. She then grinned excitedly and dug into the ice cream.
Mmmmmmm Ice Cream!

What was she doing at a book club? Good question. What was she doing there? Oh yeah! "Looking for you!" GRIN. "You and Lottie! I remembered you both like reading and figured this would be the best place to go looking for you." Though now that she thought about it...Lottie might have been off enjoying the outside. That was her preference afterall.
Would it just be Aidan then? That was fine! She liked his company. "Besides, haven't you noticed that at every club meeting they've been holding has had food??" She would know, she'd been to them all and there was always something coated in sugar--oh and the fizzy drinks that one time. No way this meeting was gonna miss her. "But I suppose you came for the actual reading?" He wouldn't have come here looking for her afterall, because, well, this was a book club.
And now he got an eyebrow raise. Not a proper book? It had everything she'd ever need. Hexes beyond her wildest dreams, a good amount were beyond her current skill level but that was only pushing her to be better. "It is good. We should go through some of them, okay? Maybe even have a duel after?" THAT WOULD BE SO EPIC!!
Oh and she was GRINNING more at his stating that he was there.
The grinning only died a little when she heard her name being spoken again. Looking over she spotted Sarah, yet another person finding her being there odd. Maybe she'd just never come back to book club, that would fix things. "I came here because I knew I'd find people here and walking around the castle by myself isn't nearly as fun." That was it really. It had nothing to do with the books.

Leo was reading an interesting article about some of his favourite musical bands when he heard the distinct sound of footsteps coming closer. Looking up right in time as Alexa Cambridge came over Leo beamed broadly at her "Good day Alexa." Winking at her he grinned "I thought so myself. But it’s only for today. I wanted to give you all some treats."

"Good day Eliza, right?" Leo wondered. Putting the right name to the right face was important to build a relationship plus he wasn’t keen on calling anyone by their surnames. It was just too formal. Grinning at the eaglette he gestured towards her big plate of food "Are you hungry dear?"

Professor?
Leo still hadn’t quite gotten used to being seen as a 'professor'. He didn’t exactly teach in the same sense like Sophia or Peyton. "Good day Sarah!" he greeted cheerily "Are you having a good day so far?"

Leo hadn't seen the latest young man arrive before he heard him ask a question. Turning a little he called over. "No, Mr Montmorency the book club meeting hasn’t started yet." Since the invited guest speaker hadn’t arrived yet.

Leo was just debating what to do with his magazine when a shadow fell over the magazine page. Looking up at the senior lady standing in front of him he beamed broadly as he stopped up. “Yes, I’m Mr Leobald Kitridge.” Extending a hand for a shake he blushed at her comment. “No, it’s us that should thank you for coming and talking to our students. Its a pleasure to meet you mrs Smith. Did you go to Hogwarts in your youth?”
Gesturing towards the food table he said “Feel free to grab something to eat. Would you like a bean bag or would you prefer a chair?”
Clearing his throat he addressed the assembled students. “Everyone the meeting will start in just a few more minutes. Get yourself a bean bag and some treats if you’d like.” Following his own words Leo walked over to the food table and poured himself a cup of tea.
------------------------------
Several minutes later Leo cleared his throat and said to the assembled student’s and Fina and Norma. “Welcome to this term’s book club meeting. For those who don’t know me I’m Leobald Kitridge, the school’s resident librarian.”
Motioning for Norma to come over he said "Today, we've got a special guest speaker here to talk to us about her famous Plimpy soup book and what inspired her to write it. After Norma has spoken there will be time for you all to ask her questions."
"Norma the floor is yours." Leo said as he sat back comfortably on his lime bean bag and sipped on his coffee as a sign that the meeting was now in Norma’s hands.

“The pleasure is all mine, dear,” Norma responded with a chuckle, grasping his hand with her own. What a firm handshake this man had! Oh, was he blushing? The old woman was tempted to give his cheek a pinch, but she put her grandmother instincts aside. She was here to talk to talk about her story. But first she was going to finish up her conversation with Leobald and maybe grab herself a cup of tea. “Why, yes, I did go to Hogwarts. I was a member of Hufflepuff House. But that was many, many years ago.” She gave him a smile and followed him over to the food table. “And I am perfectly fine with a bean bag. I may not be as young as I once was, but age is just a number.”
After getting some tea, Norma settled down on a purple bean bag and looked at all the faces in front of her. She gave each of them a tender smile and took a few sips of her tea. Then Leobald turned the tables over to her. “Thank you, Mr. Kitridge,” she said, giving him a nod before addressing the attendees. “Good evening, everyone. My name is Norma Smith – please feel free to call me Norma. I was selected as the top contributor for Plimpy Soup for the Wizarding Soul. This book contains a collection of true stories written by witches and wizards of today. My story is a retelling of an important lesson I taught to my three grandchildren when they were younger.
“Does anyone have any questions so far?” Norma asked the group with a warm smile. Were they interested in knowing who the other writers were? Did they want to learn more about her story? Or maybe they sought advice on writing in general?

Oh dear, she was late.
It was beginning to dawn on her that perhaps she should just wear her boots ALL the time, instead of hopping around, trying to get them on while hurrying to places. She'd told Leo she'd be there! Falling into the corridor wall, Medea huffed softly and finally got the boot on before standing up straight and flicking her head behind her. Goodness.
Perhaps all would be forgiven though when they saw she brought another potential book club member. Lucky him that she spotted him along the way! Right?! Peaking into the library, arm semi-hooked with the Astronomy Professor's, Medea winced, noting that it'd already started. Unlucky her, then. However, she spotted something else that brought a smile to her face.
"Told you they'd haff ice cream." she whispered, glancing to Airey before sneaking in quietly. Oh, who was the lady?

Perhaps all would be forgiven though when they saw she brought another potential book club member. Lucky him that she spotted him along the way! Right?! It was one thing to drag him to one of these book club things, but it was an entirely different matter to drag him to one LATE! He had been taking Pebbles for a walk around the castle when Medea had spotted him and quite literally grabbed and dragged him. He still had Pebbles with him and thankfully had not dropped her during the whole ordeal.
And really, the arm linking wasn't entirely necessary. He wasn't going anywhere.
"Oooooooooooooooooooooooh," he whispered while pointing his index finger towards the bowls. Don't mind if I do. He snatched up a bowl for himself and Medea before he tried to figure out the best course to take so as not to be noticed, but then he noticed that there was a guest speaker and he squinted in her direction. Leobald's grandmother? Oh no WAIT! He recognized her from a picture in the Prophet. He had even read that book she was published in. Had a copy of it in his office actually.
Oh oh! She was asking for questions and he totally had an awesome one. "Mrs. Smith, don't you think ice cream would make a better secret ingredient?"

Yeah, Penelope was here. Mostly because there was food. Where there was food, there was a Penelope, especially when it was free. So yeah, she was currently sitting on a bean bag, a plate of cookies and a bowl of ice cream in her lap. She was already on her third cookie when it seemed the meeting was starting.
She'd never read the Plimpy Soup book thing - was it about food though? That might encourage her to read it - which meant she didn't really have any questions, so she continued with her cookie. Apparently Professor Flamsteed had a question though? About ice cream. Oh yeah, ice cream was always a good secret ingredient, wasn't it? Penelope certainly thought so. Maybe the Norma lady would agree.

Why....was she always late to these kind of things? MERRRRRRRLIN. First, the SNAC meeting and now, this. Could she actually get any worse? But she couldn't blame anyone else but herself. She overslept.....hand it over to the fact that it was her turn to patrol the corridors again and Ethan didn't come to her rescue. She wasn't complaining. Pssh.
But anyway, the good thing was that she was here, yea? Better late than never, as they say. And...just in time to take a purple bean bag for herself before a woman started talking. She was saying something about the "Plimpy Soup for the Wizarding Soul". Beezus have heard of that.........but she didn't quite had a handful of details.
No questions right here. But could she like....stand up and get ice cream while she listen to their visitor talk?
