Video: Rupert Grint, James & Oliver Phelps talk Harry Potter on Spain's El Hormiguero
During their promotional round for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 in Madrid on Monday, Rupert Grint and James and Oliver Phelps visited the El Hormiguero Spanish television programme. The three actors took part on a series of games, quizzes, and interviews for the film. Several clips have been released below.
In the first, the three, via a model set of Hogwarts with action figures of Harry Potter characters, explain what happened in the final film of the series. Oliver demonstrated the battle between Voldemort and Harry, while Rupert, who first chucked the Dumbledore doll away as the character died before the finale, described, with models and gesturing, how Ron and Hermione kissed in the Chamber of Secrets. In the second, the three try to distinguish other famous set of twins, including the Olsens. In the third, a magician comes to the set to play a trick on the three, especially Rupert; the final video is a straight interview with Rupert and the twins about their involvement in the series. The full episode, not embeddable, can be viewed here.
Quote:
I am fascinated by the scenes of the brooms. How do you fly?
Rupert: It's basically an ordinary broom and hanging high above us James Phelps: Yes, but has evolved over the series. When we started was not easy because we were at a height of 10 meters on a bike seat and end up very hurt (getting squeaky voice). Rupert: When I did I prepared a chair from mold of my bum, so it was comfy.
How many hours could take a broom scene?
Rupert: pretty and very complicated because we had to react to things that are not really there, but it's fun. James Phelps: I would say a three-minute scene lasted about a month of shooting. Oliver: And you had to repeat it over and over again.
Rupert, along the series have been loving watching the tension between you and Hermione. Can you give us a clue to how you just did your thing?
Rupert: Yes, the truth is that it is something that has been feeling since the first film and I think this film we finally the last and so we matched. It's weird because I've known her since she was nine years old, then it striked me as wrong.
Was every take with Hermione good?
Rupert (laughs): Sure there are many people who envy me, but really was not very relaxing because we were both rather nervous. She's great. It will be a very nice (applause).
You are part of one of the most successful franchises of the last 100 years. What is the most embarrassing situation you have lived with a fan?
Rupert: The truth is that I was sent pajamas. It's weird. I never mentioned the pajamas. I do not know why they were sent to me, but they are very nice. I am grateful. Oliver Phelps: They sent us a watermelon with a note saying 'can you sign and send back to us'?
Your flavour is milk. You're a quiet person and enjoy the peace, but you also
enjoy a bit of something new. You like the unconventional surprises that life
brings. You keep those dear to you close and adore them, as they adore you. ♥
Rupert Grint, I will always love you! The bit with Ron and Hermione had me laughing for five minutes. He's absolutely adorable. (That haircut is growing on me.)
And the bit about the watermelon...priceless! God, I'll miss them all together.
"see this guy here. he's angery grrr" OMG are they trying 2 have them explain DH pt 2 through toys? i dont get it. Seems like oliver did all the explaning. I love that james grabs moody and say "yea, he's dead". Oh no rupert did know have the ron and hermione dolls kiss

I died when I saw this news article. Particularly because I originally saw El Hormiguero when the cast of The Social Network was being interviewed and it was so hilarious and pitiful. Poor blokes!
So cool. A watermelon and pyjamas! OMW that's just awesome. I loved the bit with the puppets Rupert looked so embarassed when he made the dolls kiss! The rest I didn't really understand.
