Wherever did the time go, Professor Hadley no idea, but somehow her birthday had passed mostly unnoticed as Jeremy was no longer at Hogwarts and the school year was almost over. Well they still had another two months until school was officially out, but that time would fly.
Staring wistfully out at the rainy weather outside the classroom window, the brunette woman glanced around as she heard students entering the room for the next Arithmancy lesson.
"Take a seat, we'll begin shortly," Fina commented lightly, before turning back to look at the rain.

Minerva came into the class. She smiled at Professor Hadley she enjoyed this professor, but the class confused her. "Hello Professor awful rainy day out isn't it?"
Ashley still hadn't gotten the hang of Arithmancy, but he figured he'd never get it if he didn't go to the classes, right? And so there he was, heading on in with as much excitement as he ever had about anything, giving the professor a small nod and a "Hello, professor!" as he passed by on his way to find a seat. Then he sat and got ready for class to begin, determined to really get all of this stuff one of these days. Hopefully today. That would be nice.

Whoever had the brilliant idea of Glisseo'ing the bottom of their shoes, Destiny LOVED them. It made getting to class much easier, except the whole walking up the steps part, but sliding down the corridors, she was super fast!
Which was why she and Evelyn were sliiiiiiding down the second floor corridor, racing their way to the Arithmancy classroom.
It was a very close race, too. If it weren't for that wall jumping right out at her, causing her to go crashing to the floor and sliding halfway down the corridor, leaving her sprawled out right in front of the classroom, Evelyn would have easily beaten her. Destiny knew there was going to be a big bruise on her forehead and probably some other places by the end of class, but she didn't care about that. She had won! She had won the race!
Reaching her hand up, she grabbed hold of the door handle, and hoisting herself to her still slippery-shoed feet, she stood right by the door, waiting for Evelyn to arrive. Yeah, she was going to boast about it.
And while she waited til the time came when she could boast, she waved to Professor Hadley.

This was an awful idea. Horrible really...but it was just too darn fun to stop!
She was no expert at ice skating, like she was with pillow sliding, yet sliding down the corridors was as brilliant as it got. It was just getting up the stairs that was particularly painful, not to mention accidentally running into people and falling every now and then...but this was so much better than walking!
Sliiiiiide!!
Yet, because of her failure to stand up properly, Destiny had a good lead in front of her. Pffft. The Slytherin was convinced she was cheating somehow, but nonetheless, as she rounded the corner to the corridor where the classroom door was located, she realized perhaps she was going a little too fast. How did one STOP!?
For the love of Merlin...
Slowing to a snail stop, her arms held out in front of her to help keep herself balanced, Evelyn smirked as she stopped next to Destiny. SMIRK! See that? No falling.

Evelyn was taking FOREVER!
Destiny was getting rather impatient, and she was tempted to tap her foot just so everyone knew she was impatient, but she quickly tossed that thought aside. Her shoes were still slippery, and she was already standing by the door, she didn't want to be laying by the door, having people step on her.
She had enough bruises already, thank you very much.
Taking a few slow steps closer to the door, she peeked her head out into the corridor, bursting into a fit of laughter as she finally saw Evelyn. She had to hold onto the door handle once more, just so she didn't fall back down. However, seeing how fast her friend was going, she closed her eyes tightly, waiting for the crash to come. Except..it never did. Opening one eye, followed by the other, she glanced at Evelyn before shrugging her shoulders and sliiiiiding to a seat.
"I still woooon! Hello, Professor Hadley!"

Alyssa told the Professor. 'Whether my brain is up to thinking that much today is another matter,,' Alyssa thought to herself.

Holding onto the door-frame so she wasn't falling, not that she cared that perhaps she was blocking people from walking into the classroom, her smirk faded a little as she watched Destiny slide to a sit. PFFFT. "Yea well..."
Whatever. She would've won...
If she wanted to. LIES
As if glued to the side wall, the Slytherin girl slowly made her way around the classroom to get to the seat next to Destiny's. The desks were a nice save as well to keep her upright and not falling on her behind for the...fifth time. And SLIIIIIDE into her seat. Awesome.
"Good day Professor Hadley!"

"Of course not, Sit, sit." Minerva said excited that Alyssa wanted to sit with her it hadn't seemed like Alyssa was wanting to be near Minerva lately.
Please don't be a hard lesson. Please don't be a hard lesson. Please don't be a hard lesson.
Ellie was drained, pretty much. Much to her surprise as anyone's, the fifth year had actually been STUDYING for OWLs. Though, all her preconceived notions of 'studying' had turned out to be right. It's dreadfully boring and makes your head hurt. She still was pretty sure studying wasn't actually helping her prepare for the exams, but she wouldn't be able to find that out until she actually sat them.
Her exhaustion was the reason she almost didn't even come. But...the fact that it was OWL year was a reason to come. And she'd be taking the Arithmancy OWL. She needed to make up for Potions somehow, didn't she?
But the least Hadley could do was make an easy lesson for today. Nice and simple. Like finding their Core numbers or whatever they were called. Ellie could do that without too much though.
A look and nod of the head was all the Professor received as the Captain found her seat. The Head Girl and her Chocoholic friend gained very little attention. Mostly, Ellie was wondering how they had enough energy to have fun. Must be nice, though.

Arithmacy...
Gideon had to admit the class was growing on him, even if some of the calculations weren't quite accurate when compared to how he really was. Oh well, they couldn't all be right all the time. The fourth year made his way to the classroom on his own two normal feet, watching bemused as the two elder Slytherins wizzed or more correctly slid past him on their way to the same class.
Someone was trying to have fun their last few months in school.
He entered the room a couple of minutes after the others, having been on his own speed as he moved. "Good day Professor Hadley," he greeted with a polite nod at the woman who seemed preoccupied with looking out the window. Why he didn't know but it wasn't like he was gonna ask. So Gideon simply made his way to a seat and took it, setting his bag at his feet before taking out parchment and a quill ready for class to begin.

Blah, rain.

Blah blah blah. Tori sighed as she walked in the blah classroom and set her blah books down on the blah desk. Hopefully Hadley wouldn't keep them too long today... aaaaaand hopefully she wouldn't assign them homework that was friggin' IMPOSSIBLE.

Her bag over her shoulder and a small parcel in her other, Kurumi made her way into the Arithmancy classroom and immediately took her usual seat in the front. Thankfully, she had missed the exchange between the two She-Snakes - those two always confused her anyway. Not to mention that she found both of them ridiculously intimidating. Managing to somehow push those thoughts aside, Kurumi set her textbook, parchment, an quills on the table and picked up her small parcel with a modest goldenrod ribbon tied at the top.
Smiling, she made her way up to Professor Hadley's desk and set the parcel on there, making sure that the card front was facing her. "Good day, Professor Hadley. Sorry this is a little late," Kurumi said with a small polite bow. Professor Hadley had done calculations involving her birthday enough in front of the class for the Gryffindor to remember her birthday, and she would have given these on time had it not been for how busy she was tutoring a certain Slytherin for his OWLs.
Having delivered her very belated gift, Kurumi returned to her seat and waited for class to start, idly looking at the two empty seats on either side of her.

Selina walked into Arthimancy and looked around the room. Was she late? She didn't think so because everyone there was kind of quiet and such. When class was in session there was usually a mass of quills writing at once and the flitter of excitement that bubbled in the room. Everyone here looked bored.
She turned to her Professor and said, "Hello Professor Hadley!"

Fina had so not expected that one.... staring at the parcel, she knew what it was, but it was necessary. Though slightly welcomed. She wasn't going to deny a birthday present in the least. "Thank you, Prefect Hollingberry. Very thoughtful of you." But it would be rude of her to open the parcel now, so that would have to wait until the lesson was over. Even if she was itching with curiosity to know what it was.

William rasws his hand. " You can calculate your birthday to find out about how you are feeling on a particular day" William told the professor.
Yes! Her blue eyes lit up at that. That meant core numbers, right? RIGHT? Thank Merlin! Hadley was so obviously loved for this.... She was loved anyway... But Ellie wasn't letting herself love her... She had to talk to the professor first. Maybe after class?
"Core numbers, Hadley? Life path and stuff?" That nonsense. That wicked easy peasy nonsense that wouldn't hurt the fifth year's brain at all.
Rain or no rain, Ellie was now in a good mood.

Quite impressed at Destiny's enthusiasm? Yea, that earned her friend a quiet snicker from Evelyn. Snicker!
Taking out her notebook and quill as Hadley started the lesson, the Slytherin couldn't help but hope that she wasn't expecting them to bring that walnut back to class. Otherwise...she needed another one. She also couldn't help feeling how weird it was to slide her feet on the ground. Glisseo spell for the win! Nevertheless, obviously it was only a matter of time before the Professor said something that would catch her attention.
Like that for example. They were going to be talking about themselves but not just themselves? What? She was just...going to raise her hand anyway. For the love of Merlin, everyone was so fast! "There are the arrows of...Pythagoras." Thing. They had numbers in it at least.
Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna
Okay so it appeared she wasn't staring out of the window because she was upset at least Gideon thought so for the professor seemed to be cheerful enough as she answered he and his fellow students except for the initial sigh. Did it seem to anyone else like she was particularly responsive to his words? The Gryffindor shook it off, paying attention instead as Hadley began the class, asking them about types of numbers that could be used to find out about oneself.
"Could the subconscious self number be an example?" he questioned after raising his hand, the arm returning to his desk when done speaking.

Kurumi blinked a few times. Wasn't most of Arithmancy about using numbers to tell something about themselves? At least, that had been her experience with the subject thus far at Hogwarts. Everything had revolved around either the numbers in their name, or their date of birth, and how those fit into different calculations. She didn't suppose that that was the sort of answer that Professor Hadley was looking for, so she remained silent for a little while she listened to others offer up some responses.
"There is also your Family Name Number," the Gryffindor said after a bit, her hand up in the air.
