Welcome to Matchmaker, Matchmaker - Diagon Alley's BEST matchmaking service. Well, fine... Diagon Alley's ONLY matchmaking service. The process is simple enough. Fill out the application found here and let Ms. Raphael and her team of helpers pick your match and plan your perfect date. Once they have done so, you'll find a new thread in this forum with the name of your character and your character's date, as well as details about the date Ms. Raphael has planned for you. Take this intro as a prompt and go from there! You and your 'date' are only restricted by your imagination!
Other Rules/Facts
Only characters over 18 years of age are permitted, as younger characters should still be in school. We would also like to ask you to enter characters who are currently single/unattached.
Because we need to wait for multiple applications to appear, and because we want to create as great an opportunity for you to RP as possible, it may take us several days to create your thread. We will notify you via VM when your thread is ready.
You may only fill out ONE application per character. That being said...
You may submit UP TO TWO characters, although each requires a separate application. Please realize that we will do our best, but we can only guarantee one date. Your FIRST submission will be given priority, so please submit the character you most wish to send on a fun date.
Because there are significantly more unattached female characters in the RP than male characters, a second character that is male may have a better chance of getting a date.
If, for some reason, you feel that you need to submit for a third/other character, please PM Juliet Raphael for permission.
As always, all SS rules apply to anything posted.
Feel free to ask questions, and we will do our best to answer them as quickly and completely as possible.

Yesssss. Yes, you can. But 1. the character YOU fill an app for must also be played by YOU. You cannot fill out the app for another member. That'll get confusing in a hurry. 2. There isn't really anyway for us to acknowledge that the DATER character didn't fill out the app -- that's more for YOU from an IC standpoint.

We've pondered this question. I don't have an exact answer but we'll at least run this through the end of the month. And even when we finish February, we aren't going to rush people out/delete threads. We'll figure out something.
How long does sorting tend to take? *asking for myself and for someone else as well*

Actually, I needed to PM you. The picture you submitted for your first application doesn't work. Send me another and that date is ready.
As for your questions: It depends on the speed of the applications coming in, and what is available for pairing. At the moment, we're reading the end of this event so apps are coming in slower, so... the whole process is moving slower. Additionally, this has been a HUGE project to organize and keep organized - then tack on that everyone gets a unique graphic that has to be made after the pairings... it's a process. Some people have had to wait a while.
Final question: Not really "opposites attract", no.
