| | Living History Museum Date: Carter Phillips and Brynn Pierce
Muggle history can sometimes be as interesting as our wizarding history, and today you and your date are going to find out this. The Black Country Living Museum will take you back in time, showing you the history of the local area that is known as the Black Country. The museum is open air, and made up of re-built historical buildings from the area, allowing you to see just how people used to live in the past. What makes this museum special is that the buildings are original, and have been taken down brick by brick, and moved to the living museum, which create helps to create the magic, with the locals portraying what life was like between the years of 1850 and 1950
Not only is there historical buildings for you to visit, but there is also a coal mine, which shows you just how it was like to work down a mine. With the dark tunnels, and low roofs, this is something not to miss. If you and your date don’t exactly feel like going down the mine, why not visit the school, which shows you what education was like in the 19th century.
The museum is quite large, and instead of walking around, there are various modes of transport for you to use. You and your date could take a journey on the tram or a trolley bus which will take you to from the entrance of the museum, right down to the village where all the historical buildings are. Take your time enjoying this historical living museum, and if you get hungry there always that chip shop, selling original fish and chips, cooked as by tradition. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Stuart Kynaston Ravenclaw Sixth Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Rome Keller Drechsler Gryffindor First Year | Sardine VIP || Shark Attack! || D A R T E R || Captain Oblivious A living history museum. That was an interesting date choice. And by interesting he meant...
It was exactly the same kind of trip he made in primary school. Except he really hoped they wouldn't make homemade candles this time. Or play that game where they hit the metal wheels with sticks. Carter stood at the entrance and looked around. He debated on bringing flowers or chocolates. But this didn't seem like the place for any of that.
Plus... it was a blind date. He didn't even know if the girl would like something like that.
They'd... just go on a carriage ride later or something.
Now. To wait for the mystery date.

Hmm. Well.. a museum wasn't exactly the first thing that came to Brynn's mind when she thought of a fun date.
But, lucky for her - and her date, the girl tried to keep an open mind about these sorts of things. Tucking a few stray strands of dark hair behind her ear, Brynn started for the entrance to this living history museum.
A boy, or young man, around her age stood by the entrance somewhat expectantly, and she could only assume that he must be the blind dater. The benefit of being the second to arrive was that she had a headstart on checking this fellow out. Not that looks were everything, but they were certainly something, so she was happy to find him to be a good-looking, clean cut guy. He dressed casually but well, and Brynn could only hope that this was a sign that he didn't take himself too seriously.
"No flowers? Chocolates..? Someone's been slacking in his romance etiquette," Brynn said, a smile gracing her features. Naturally, she was only kidding about this. She extended her hand. "I'm Brynn."

Hogwarts RPG Name: Stuart Kynaston Ravenclaw Sixth Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Rome Keller Drechsler Gryffindor First Year | Sardine VIP || Shark Attack! || D A R T E R || Captain Oblivious Carter watched as someone approached. Alright. Someone nice looking. Bonus.
He chuckled at the comment. "I was thinking about it. But this seems hardily the place for flowers and chocolates."
Or a date.
Plus, whenever he got flowers, it was always the girl's favorite kind. It felt too cheesy to get them for a blind date. "But, I haven't been a complete slacker. I was thinking we'd go on a carriage ride later." Oh. Maybe with hot cider or hot chocolate or tea. "Nice to meet you Brynn. I'm Carter." he said shaking her outstretched hand. "I hope you find muggles interesting." Otherwise... well. He wasn't going to think about that.

| Aidella | King of Confusion | Brittana | Forever ACROMANTULA Flowers and chocolate. Brynn just gave him a small smile because despite the location being rather strange, she did enjoy receiving flowers on a date. Or any time, for that matter. She wasn't one for cliches, but fresh flowers could be an exception.
"A carriage ride it is," she agreed. She liked that idea. It gave everything a sort of old-fashioned, muggle tinge.
"Pleasure's mine." Her hand returned to her side, and she absently began moving the ring around her thumb. When he commented about finding muggles interesting, she tilted her head slightly. "Sure, they can be interesting. Coal, on the other hand..." Her lips upturned as she gave him a doubtful smile. "So, how about we get started with this carriage ride?"

Carter saw that. The typical disappointed half-smile. He'd have to remember she liked flowers and chocolates should they hit it off.
He smiled. At least she liked the carriage ride idea. "So we'll just skip the coal mine then." he said with a nod. "Sounds good to me." he said returning her smile. "Should we grab some drinks for the road?" he asked. Or snacks. Snacks sounded good too.
And then they could go on the carriage ride. Which would be a good time to get to know each other.

Skip the coal mine? Yes, please.
"Suuuure," Brynn agreed, dragging out the vowel for no reason beside that she felt like it. She began walking over toward the small snack shop with Carter, her pace slowing and eventually coming to a stop as she skimmed over the selection. Her hands slipped into her back pockets and she rocked back on her heels. "I think I'm going to have to get coffee," she confessed. "I'm a bit of a coffee fiend, really.."
..A bit? She gave a guilty smile.
"What about you?"

Hogwarts RPG Name: Stuart Kynaston Ravenclaw Sixth Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Rome Keller Drechsler Gryffindor First Year | Sardine VIP || Shark Attack! || D A R T E R || Captain Oblivious Carter stood next to his date and scanned the menu. "Coffee girl." he said with a little smile. There seemed to be a lot of those running around. He'd never been a coffee person, so he didn't really understand the appeal. "Muggle soda." he replied. "I don't get enough Pepsi in my life."
As he stepped in front of the counter he pulled out his wallet. He wondered how many people were sent out on muggle dates. It was lucky he was muggleborn and carried both British pounds and wizarding galleons on him at all times. "Pepsi for me. And a coffee for her." he ordered. He peeked over his shoulder to Brynn. "Anything else you're in the mood for?" he asked. Not that it was a big deal. They could always come back later if they got hungry.

"So it would seem." But the two seemed to have opposite taste in beverages, for he passed up coffee for soda, a drink that Brynn never ordered voluntarily. Not a big fan of the carbonation.
"So, can you tell the difference between Pepsi and Coke?" The few times that Brynn had either she thought they tasted exactly alike, and it made her wonder whether those blind taste tests were really accurate or not. Carter, however, appeared to be a more experienced soda drinker, so he ought to know better.
She shook her head. "Nope, just the coffee, thanks." A little smirk just touched her lips as he pulled out his wallet. Brynn had been quite prepared to pay for whatever she should buy on this date, though she couldn't help but feel as though perhaps her light-hearted jab about the flowers before had made him more inclined to pay for her.
But, it was only a drink, and he was being chivalrous, so she didn't bother making the moment awkward. "Are you good at coming up with interesting questions, by the way?"

Hogwarts RPG Name: Stuart Kynaston Ravenclaw Sixth Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Rome Keller Drechsler Gryffindor First Year | Sardine VIP || Shark Attack! || D A R T E R || Captain Oblivious Carter nodded. He could tell the difference. And he enjoyed the drink. "Muggleborn." he said simply. "I was raised on the stuff."
Okay. Not exactly. His parents were doctors... so it was more like he snuck the stuff growing up.
Carter nodded to the shopkeeper to indicate their order was complete. After paying and receiving the drinks, he handed her coffee to her. "Shall we?" he asked nodding to the carriages.
He took a sip of his soda and smiled. Refreshing. He needed to get more of the stuff. He'd been locked up in the wizarding world too long.
He chuckled a little at the question. "I'm afraid I'm awful at it." he confessed. "You're going to be stuck with questions about the color toothbrush you have and... if you like dogs." Which he, coincidentally did.

"That explains it." Muggles were kind of obsessed with soda, actually.
She nodded and thanked the shopkeeper with a smile before turning to leave. "Yep, the carriage awaits," she commented, taking the coffee from him. It warmed her hand and she took a sip. Aah.
"Awful?!" Brynn made an odd face that looked something like a mixture of a frown and a grin. The toothbrush question was lame, yes, but at least is was somewhat creative. "Well, I'm very sorry to hear that, but I think I'm going to make you play twenty-one questions even in spite of your deficiency." She flashed a grin and opened up the door to the carriage before hopping in.
"Would you like to go first or shall I do the honors?"

Hogwarts RPG Name: Stuart Kynaston Ravenclaw Sixth Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Rome Keller Drechsler Gryffindor First Year | Sardine VIP || Shark Attack! || D A R T E R || Captain Oblivious Carter smiled. "Yeah. One of the many muggle things that I haven't been able to give up."
He walked with her back over to the carriages. He let out a chuckle. "That's fine by me. But I hope you're prepared for the worst game of it you've ever been involved in." Yeah. This was one of the few games he was terrible at.
Luckily, it was also one that no matter how badly you played you always learned something new.
He hopped into the carriage and took the seat next to her. "I think you already did go first." he said with a light laugh closing the door.
Hmm... he should start out with something light and fun, shouldn't he? "So, Brynn, what do you do for fun?" he asked. "Besides blind dates." he added with a smile.

"And the others?" Brynn questioned.
She gave a small smile and rolled her eyes. The worst game of 21 Questions? "Well, I'll just have to make up for you and turn it into a good game." Or perhaps her 'skill' would rub off on him.
He closed the door and she felt the slight jolt of the carriage as it started forward. Onward!
She smiled again when he posed a question. "Oh, see? That's not a bad question," she added. "The beginning ones always have to be kind of vague anyway, don't you think?" They needed some sort of foundation for the latter ones.
Anyway. Now for her response as to what she did for fun. "Well, let's see.." She sat back and crossed one leg over the other. "I like running and exercise in general, coffee - as you already know, a few particular muggle shows, gardening, hiking, sometimes shopping, and - of course - being with my friends." Satisfied with her brief list, she gave a nod. That's what she could think of off the top of her head, at least.
"And you.." Now for his question. Hmmm. Brynn paused for a moment or two to ponder this. "Okay. If you tomorrow you woke up as a girl, what's the first thing you would do?" Amused, she added. "An appropriate answer."

Hogwarts RPG Name: Stuart Kynaston Ravenclaw Sixth Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Rome Keller Drechsler Gryffindor First Year | Sardine VIP || Shark Attack! || D A R T E R || Captain Oblivious Carter laughed. "Umm... my car. My telly." The games attached to his telly. His motorcycle.
He smiled. "I guess you will. Hopefully your questions will make up for mine."
And now they were off. For a muggle carriage ride. Weirdly enough, this was his first ever one. In fact, other than at Hogwarts, he hadn't even been near a carriage.
Carter laughed a little. "I guess I won't be completely awful if you didn't think that one was too bad."
He nodded as she listed things. Ah. So she ran too. And watched the telly. He chuckled a little at the sometimes shopping. He knew enough girls to knew that always made the list.
He let out a hearty laugh at her question. "You mean after freaking out?" he asked. "I'd probably flip my hair." He laughed again. "I've always wondered how girls were able to deal with so much of it."
True story.
He thought a moment. She seemed to prefer random light-hearted questions. Challenge accepted. "What's the funniest pick up line used on you?"

Brynn nodded. She liked muggle transportation, even if it really was slow compared to apparating. If he had mentioned a motorcycle, however, she probably would have demanded that they leave straight away so that she could get a ride.
"I'll do my best," she smiled.
Upon hearing his answer to her question, Brynn gave a light laugh and lifted an eyebrow. "Of all things, you'd flip your hair?" Then again, if she had woken up as a guy tomorrow, she wouldn't know where the hell she would begin.
Now. Hmmmm. The funniest pick-up line used on her. "Well," she began, and she flipped her hair over her shoulder rather exaggeratedly. "Do you mean the funniest as in the cheesiest, most horrible line ever..? Or do you mean the funniest, actually-got-me-to-laugh kind of pick up line?" She didn't exactly wait for a response, but answered them both instead. "The former would have to be something about stars in my eyes, which is as painfully cheesy and cliche as it gets, and the latter.." She paused and traced her finger around the rim of her coffee cup while she thought. "Yeah, I can't really think of a pick-up line that was really funny... I think it's more in the way that it's delivered."
Okay, so her turn again! She took a sip of her drink and swallowed. Mmm. "All right. What was the reason behind the break-up with your last girlfriend?" Maybe that was a little personal, but he could answer as vaguely or descriptively as he pleased.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Stuart Kynaston Ravenclaw Sixth Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Rome Keller Drechsler Gryffindor First Year | Hahaha. XD That would have been hilarious. Sardine VIP || Shark Attack! || D A R T E R || Captain Oblivious Carter laughed. "What?" he said with a little shrug. "It's something I've always wondered about." And she couldn't deny that she's flipped her hair at least once before for the benefit of a guy. It was what girls did.
He was about to say both, but Brynn beat him to it. He chuckled a little at her response. "Did it work?" he asked. So he was curious. He never really understood the point of pick up lines. But then again, all his previous relationships were based on friendships that became something... more.
Plus, he doubted he could ever pull off something so cheesy.
He raised an eyebrow at her next question. This jumped to something personal pretty quickly. He ran a hand through his hair thinking about how best to word what happened. "I guess you could say we just got too busy with each other." He shrugged a little. "Work kept us away from each other... and then... she moved." And they mutually decided that it just wasn't worth the effort. It was hard enough making things work while they were in the same country.
Hopefully she wasn't expecting an incredibly juicy story.
Now it was his turn. "What's the most expensive thing you ever bought yourself?" he asked.

Hopefully she wasn't expecting an incredibly juicy story.
Now it was his turn. "What's the most expensive thing you ever bought yourself?" he asked. Brynn gave a tiny smirk. Maybe hair-flipping was one of the female mysteries to men. It was for Carter.
Anyway. Did it work? Did the cheesy, stars-in-your-eyes line work on Brynn Pierce? She laughed and offered a look of mock contemplation before finally answering. "I don't believe it did." After all, there wasn't anything all too spectacular about her eyes. Brown was the most common eye color in the world, wasn't it?
She sat up a little more, interested in his imminent answer to the bold 'previous break-up' question. Brynn was prepared for something like accusations of flirting, or maybe even cheating, because she found that those were often the root of most splits. When he answered, however, she was pleasantly surprised to find that they had just 'grown apart,' so to speak. "Hmmh.." She tilted her head. "Well, I'm happy to hear that." Realizing how her words may have sounded, she quickly added, "I'm happy to hear that you parted on good terms, I mean. Not that you had to split up." For clarification.
He kindly segued back to the light-hearted topics of conversation and inquired after the most expensive thing she had ever bought. Truth be told, though, she wasn't quite sure. "Heh, okay.. let me think for a sec," she requested. She had gotten a few rather pricey pieces of clothing, but nothing that could claim the spot of 'most expensive.' Finally, she answered, "I guess it would have to be the new apartment I'll be renting with my best friend." Did renting count? Because, no doubt, a big chunk of her paycheck would be going to rent.
Oh, yes. Her turn again. "All right.. what's your favorite part about yourself? Physically or in terms of personality. Or both."
