A number of changes are running amok in the Ministry of Magic RPG forum, and this means great news for all members of SnitchSeeker! The needs of our members is our number one priority and, with taking feedback and other criteria into consideration, we are pleased to announce the expansion of Ministry employees to the Ministry of Magic RPG!

You can now apply for IC (in-character) employee positions in the Ministry of Magic with up to 5 of your characters by filling out the appropriate placement questionnaire. Once it has been processed and approved by the Ministry Department Heads, you will receive a confirmation PM and then you may proceed RPing your character going about their work day and interacting with fellow employees. These positions will be filled on a first come, first serve basis... but with over 100 options available (see the Ministry: Job Postings for details) there is something for everyone! The questionnaire is accessible prior to the beginning of each new IC year in the OOC months of February, June, and October.

Besides there being 8 departments from which to choose from, there are also different levels of IC positions you can apply to in order to help enrich your characters' stories in the SSRPG wizarding world:

• Intern position (student, summer)
  Your student characters can gain valuable work experience by landing an internship (no more than 20 hours a week) in the summer. These positions are not paid and instead can be used for wizarding university credits. These positions are for characters in the age range of rising 6th through 7th years and available only during the IC summer months. (NOTE: you can only RP your student character in the Ministry of Magic forums during IC summer and not during the IC school term.)
• Intern position (adult, year-round)
  Any character that is of wizarding age can apply for an internship (no more than 20 hours a week) in the Ministry. These positions provide a mild galleon compensation and are best suited for those seeking to transition from one career into another or are a wizarding university student looking for work study experience.
• Part-time position (adult, year-round)
  Any character that is of wizarding age or older can apply for a part-time position (under 35 hours a week) in the Ministry. These positions are for characters who wish to be employed though require time to focus on university, family commitments, personal interests, etc. Part-time experience can be used to transition to a full-time role.
• Full-time position (adult, year-round)
  Any character of wizarding age can apply for a full-time position (no more than 48 hours a week) in the Ministry. These positions are for characters who are able to commit to and spend most of their available time working throughout the week.

Before you submit a questionnaire on behalf of your character, please keep the following guidelines in mind:

• Your character's employment is an IC only position (your name will not turn orange italics but you will, however, receive an employee tag).
• You will NOT need to renew your character's employment (your character/s will remain in their department and position unless otherwise expressed to a Ministry Department Head via PM or submission of an application for a different character to replace that one).
• Submit one application per character (a maximum of five at this time).
• It is possible to have multiple characters receive IC employment in the same department, though we do encourage spreading your creativity around.
• Be sure fill out the questionnaire in its entirety and read each question carefully. Incomplete questionnaires cannot be processed.
• Once your application has been processed, you will receive a confirmation PM from one of the Ministry Department Heads. Please be patient.
• A thread is available for you to post bios for your characters here. Please refrain from doing so until you have received your confirmation PM.

What about the official Ministry Department Heads, you may ask? This role will continue to be part of a small team who take on the title of Ministry Department Head. Ministry Department Heads will keep the orange color and wear this tag:

Ministry Department Heads hold OOC authority over the Ministry of Magic RPG area and are your go-to source with questions or concerns. IC, their characters form a group of the most senior officials within the Ministry and oversee the management of their respective department.
