If it doesn't come in a cage or a tank, you will find it on the displays. Aside from the animals available in the store, you can also buy numerous supplies here as well. From health to medicinal to necessities to toys and accessories, you can find anything your new pet may need or desire just by browsing the displays! No matter the pet, you are sure to find a variety of supplies to welcome yours into the family, or pamper an old friend.
Numerous different foods can be found, from sensitive stomach to diet, and regular. If you need shampoo of any kind, they can be found in this area, too. If your pet has fleas or ticks, you can take care of them with a bottle or two. Of course, if you just want your Crup to stop smelling like wet Cruppie, these shampoos can even take care of that! While you're here, check out some of the grooming supplies. Brushes of all shapes, sizes, and materials are available. Snag a smaller brush to fluff up your pygmy puff's fur, maybe a wiry brush to tame your Niffler's hair, and your cat or dog would probably greatly enjoy a dander-snagging brush to keep them smooth and sparkly.
Necessary supplies include such items as tanks, aquariums, cages, travel cages, and more. Make sure to buy everything you need; wouldn't you hate to get home and find out you forgot something? If you need to, talk to the shop keeper to make sure you're buying the appropriate size and type of cage for your new pet. Some animals need much larger environments and some do not do well in certain types of cages.
If toys and accessories are what your pet is desiring, you'll find a plethora! Collars and leashes are just the tip of the iceberg. Your pet can be the most stylish if you pick up some nifty outfits for them. Mix and match the pieces to create a fashionable wardrobe! Booties are available for when the weather becomes too cold for your pets to bear it. All kinds of toys can be found here - from balls to squeaky toys, fake mice, feathers, dangly toys, shiny flashy toys... Your pet will never be bored with this selection.
When you've found the creature you've been looking for, please make your way to the counter for purchase!
If you are looking for animals, please see our creatures room.
Well Callie certainly was tired of being out in the sun all day long so she decided that since she was down on this end of the Alley and because of her new upcoming career, she could slurge and buy Galileo some bird treats.
The parrot was currently back in her wagon parked down in a shopkeeper's posession in Knockturn Alley so that she could shop, so he would definately be suprised when she returned with the gift. Opening the door to the Menagerie, Calista made her way over to the treats, hiking up her many skirts to avoid tripping, and then crouched down to check out the ones marked for birds.

Even though Willy had left his precious crup at home well at Olly's place anyway and even though his beloved creatures were spoiled enough as they were, he still enjoyed shopping at the pet supply store. He especially enjoyed shopping at said store when accompanied by a beautiful nice coworker.
"After you, Medea," he said cheerfully, holding open the door for her. Once she had entered, Willy slipped along the familiar aisles toward the treats, spying a hippy-looking woman in a long skirt. He shrugged to himself and turned back to Medea. "Have you been to this Menagerie before?"

She was a bit surprised when he offered, but nonetheless, Medea still agreed. How could she deny a shopping trip for her three lovelies anyhow? They were spoiled to the bone, but she couldn't help it.
"Thank you." she smiled, walking inside the menagerie. Just because he was being nice, didn't mean she wasn't wary of his invitation. Especially to a shop that had mice and creepy crawlies in it. "I haff actually. Last summer. Poked around a few places, especially here." So she knew her way around it pretty well.

Keeping her eye on you mister...
Even though Callie was crouched in front of the various treats displays, she noticed the two newcomers to the shop and eyed them as they walked in. The man went towards the back, while his wife, or so she assumed they were married, came closer to her. After sizing them up for a second, the thirty year old went back to shopping. You could never be too careful, she had been stopped by Ministry officials asking to see her business license and such before.
Now she needed to find the cheapest, yet still decent bird treats for her parrot, she hadn't been paid yet so she had to use what she had and basically she had a galleon, 2 sickles, and 20 knuts to last her the rest of the summer. Slim pickin's.
As the dark haired woman came closer to where she was at, Callie scooted over and pushed a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear before speaking, a small nervous smile on her lips. "Oh sorry I must be in your way."

Was it just Willy or did the hippy by the bird food smell funny? Wrinkling his nose a bit, he took a step back from her and edged a tad closer to his coworker as the strange woman addressed Medea. "Yeah we're actually trying to get to the cat and crup treats on the other side of you," he informed her with just the slightest snotty tone.
Was he offended at not being addressed? PERHAPS.
"Well good!" Willy continued his conversation with Medea. "I hope you had a chance to see the Leaky Cauldron. And the bank. Gringotts is an impressive piece of architecture."
Though really, it had nothing in it that interested a broke man who hated goblins. William was just being kind. "And if not," he added hopefully, "I could take you on a tiny tour of the alley." Hehe.

Oh? Looking down to the blonde haired woman near the bird food, Medea paused where she was so she didn't inevitably run the woman right over. The slightest twitch of her lips, about to form a smile, was replaced with disbelieving frown. Turning to her coworker, who seemed a tad closer than she remembered, she lightly swatted his arm.
Do be nice, William...
"You're fine." she said in a more softer tone, glancing momentarily back to the woman before William went on with the conversation. She couldn't deny that Gringotts seemed like a magnificant place, architectural wise, though had no reason to go inside the last she visited here. All her money was back in Bulgaria. Yet, was it horrible to think she was already familiar with the Leaky? "Vell, why not. I may have missed something the last I vos here."
A frown became noticeable on Calista's face as she looked up at the man who had so rudely spoken to her. She stood up to her full height and looked at him. "So sorry about that." Her tone and face didn't however show no remorse, she wasn't about to be talked down to by the likes of people like him. She has just as much right to be in the Menagerie as they did.
She turned to the woman who at least was polite enough to not make a snarky remark to her and nodded back to her. "I’m sorry did you just say--? Are you and your..." she shot a look back towards the rude man, "husband new to the city?" Yeah, she had overheard them talking, so what.
Callie could use a few extra galleons; maybe they would be up for a reading. They were interested in architecture after all, they must have money.

Theodore skipped into the Magical Menagerie, but DAAAAAAAAAAANG, it was loud. The boy covered his ears and frowned at a bunch of animals. SHUDUP. But as soon as he saw the reptile section, he scurried towards it. Reptiles didn't make noise, either.
Initially, he was looking for a snake. A big and scary snake. But... what was that?!
x3
IT WAS A TURTLE. "N'aww, hello, little fella." Theodore squeaked. This was the one he wanted. But for now, he'd create a little bond before purchase.

"Ouch," William murmured, more out of surprise and amusement that Medea had actually hit him than out of hurt. He blinked at the woman who'd apologized and nodded curtly in acknowledgement of her 'apology.' But no, it wasn't enough for the hippy to just move out of the way, she had to insert herself into their conversation too.
And... she thought they were married. HA!!!!!!!
Willy had to bite his lip to keep from laughing and in the end, a great chortle came out anyway. Husband? Did he really look like the marrying type? Not that Medea was bad or anything....
"Excuse me," William ended up saying, half coughing and half laughing into his elbow as he turned away from the women. He cleared his throat and tried to compose his face as he turned back to her. "We're not married, actually. And only Medea here is semi-new to Diagon Alley." He gestured toward the Defense professor with a silly flourish. "Why do you ask? Are you interested in a tour as well?" He cocked a confused eyebrow toward the hippy.

Oh big baby.
She couldn't help the half smirk, yet when she was half tempted to just turn her full attention to the cat treats, there was no doubt that the word 'husband' had stolen the spotlight. What?
"Pardon...?"
Yes, you tell her William! Tell her they weren't married. With a just a simple nod, she opened her mouth to say something, but ended up turning towards the section of the aisle they came in here for in the first place. Medea was just going to go check out if they had any new cat treats now. Yup. That's what she was going to do. Right now.

What was so funny? Oh so they weren't married, that was interesting. What was funny however was the fact that even though the man had seemed to shake it off as a funny misunderstanding the woman looked utterly terrified and as if she didn't want to think of that possibility.
Callie's original frown turned into a smirk and her eyes switched from the slowly retreating lady back to the man. "Oh that's a shame isn't it?" He was probably going to be embarrassed by the lack of laughter he had received from his companion's end during the whole situation.
"A tour? No thanks, I know may way around pretty well actually. I was just merely curious. It sounds like you do too, do you own a shop around here or something?" She grabbed the bird treats she was going to buy and held them in her left hand and jingled her many bracelts on the other wrist by habit.

"We only just met last year," William defended Medea for some reason. "So." Not a shame, not really. He wasn't Edvard Roslund, for Merlin's sake. He didn't just fall in love with someone at the drop of a quill.
'Merely curious' his bum! What was this lady, a kneazle in disguise? She could be... one never knew... she was in the Magical Menagerie, after all, and looked pretty at home by the looks of it anyway.
"Both Medea and I teach in the area," he answered her somewhat, brushing by to get to the crup treats. "And I uh, I worked in Diagon Alley as a teenager..." The tips of Willy's ears started to redden. He didn't want to admit that he'd been a prank expert at WWW's back in the day for some reason. Perhaps because of the company present. Perhaps not.
"Are you from around here?" William added toward the woman, his eyes darting back to her. "Your accent's... different." American, from the sound of it.

"Indeed." she said quietly in agreement, browsing the different selection of cat treats. Even so, their meeting, or meetings if they could be called so, were very brief. She was more acquinted with his dog actually.
Nope, she was never ever ever letting that go either. Even if she did forgive him.
Yet Medea couldn't deny that sounded interesting, and she wasn't thinking of the jingling bracelets on the woman's wrist. Oh, they were pretty though. Back to current thoughts, she made a mental note to ask William just where he worked in Diagon Alley. Maybe drag him there to reminisce in the memories and to see if his ears would burn that mighty shade of red just a little more.
That is if he didn't make plans with this woman first. Gone were the unkind tones and now conversation was easily being struck. It brought a smile!smirk to her face. She'll just go ahead and hold in that little chuckle though.

Only met last year, well Callie sure was picking up some weird tension between the two of them but really that wasn't her business nor did she really care. She had had enough trouble in the past with her own love life so she was on no level to critisize others on their own.
And she worked at a bookstore as a teen, why did he tell her about his adolecent career? Did he not really know how to talk to strangers. Poor guy. apart from the woman's aloofness and the man's child-trapped-in-a-man's-body act, nothing that they had brought up really had spiked her interest and she was fully prepared to go ahead and pay for her bird treats and get back to her cart when he finally said something that peaked her interest.
"Wait a second, you're both teachers? Where at? I was just hired on at Hogwarts!" This was actually an exciting turn of events, she should have seen this coming in her card reading that morning. How could she have missed it!?

Willy turned back to the crup treats, not at all reading/paying any attention to the products and prices before him. His ears were still beet red and he was almost hoping the strange woman conversing with him would just leave, so that he could go back to hanging out with Medea. At least around her he was slightly less awkward.
But oh, apparently she was not leaving just yet. The word 'teacher' had caught her attention.
"Oh, you DID?" William's eyes popped out a little and he gave Medea a nudge. Was she hearing this? Was she as interested as he was? "We're from Hogwarts too, yeah. Care of Magical Creatures," he pointed to himself, assuming that Medea would introduce herself too. "Are you... Astronomy?" Or maybe she was the new librarian? Those were the only positions he could think of right now.

Oh! Well that certainly stopped her from inching away.
Despite William's nudging, Medea's full attention was already back onto the conversation. It was all hard not to laugh for a moment. "Defense." she said brightly with a little wave as if saying 'guilty as charged', shortly after William introduced what subject he taught. They needed a shorter title for her own.
But oh how she forgotten that their astronomy post was now vacant. "Oh, that's rigghht..." Sad face! It was hard to forget the display at the feast, but nonetheless, she'd half expected to go back to school and see Edvard sitting in his seat. Had this woman taken his place?

Wasn't this just exciting. She didn't even have to wait until she arrived at the Castle to meet some of her future collegues. And despite their first impressions they both seemed like they would be decent enough to work alongside peacefully.
"Oh those are both great subjects." She nodded thoughtfully in response to hearing each of their positons, she knew who to go to if Galileo was ever sick at least. And the woman could most likely teach her more than a few useful spells.
"No..." Callie's brows came together in confusion at the inquiries of her being the new Astronomy professor. Was she missing something here, or did she just give off the vibe of someone who's head was in the clouds. "I'm the new Divination Professor. Calista Elwood." she said with a little shrug and awkwardly held out her hand to shake each of their's.

William nodded politely, along with Medea, and finally snagged the bag of treats he'd been looking for. These were Jack's favorite. Good to know the Menagerie still carried them.
Straightening up, he tried to read the new Divination professor's face and failed. Well well, maybe Edvard had changed his mind about quitting? William wouldn't know. He still felt like he'd missed half the term for some reason. Come to think of it...
The man seemed to freeze in place for a minute, just a fleeting moment, as his mouth gaped a little. He was unintentionally staring at the Calista person, and when he unfroze, he blinked like nothing had happened and gestured for Medea to shake her hand first. Ladies before gents and all that.
"Nice to meet you, Calista, I didn't know Tate was looking to replace Thereos." William picked up the conversation a bit. "Unless... are you planning to co-teach or something?" A centaur and a hippy. That would make for an interesting class for sure.

Divination! The thought hadn't crossed her mind yet.
Though now that it has, she wondered why she hadn't thought of it before.
As Calista reached out to shake hands, Medea politely waited for William to go first. Or not? From her perspective, he actually looked hesitant from that momentary pause. Whatever the case, she reached forward and shook the woman's hand. "It's nice to meet you."
Somehow she doubted Thereos would co-teach, especially for a subject that centaurs were known for. "Thereos to co-teach?" she asked in amusement, just a little distracted. There were the treats all three of her cats like! Did people even know how HARD it was to find such a thing?

As Callie waited to shake the two fellow teachers' hands, she couldn't help but feel slightly weirded out by the Care of Magical Creatures Professor just staring at her for a few seconds as if he was trying to remember something. She knew they had never met before if that was what he was trying to decide.
So she instead went ahead and shook the woman's outstreched hand and then her eyes bulged slightly as the guy mentioned co-teaching with IT. The woman seemed to have some sense in her head, telling the guy he was crazy, or at least she should have said it like that.
"No, no, no, no. Headmaster Tate assured me I would be teaching the subject on my own. The...centaur isn't on staff anymore." she scoffed resisting the urge to say horse. Hopefully he was already back in the forest, Calista couldn't stand the creatures--they thought they knew everything about Divination but only practiced a few methods.

... Was there anywhere else he needed to go? Not exactly. "I.. think that's about it, thanks." He nodded. Though.. "Mind giving me a tour? I still haven't gotten my bearings around here." A somewhat shy smiled appeared on the man's lips. "Though i wouldn't want to trouble you. Don't feel like you have to."
Well, Pepper was certainly not used to people requesting her attention. Unless that person happened to be Iliya Krum, of course. Merlin knew that Lucian Scamander didn't request attention from anyone.
She blushed a little bit and nodded. "Sure! I mean.. so long as I won't be keeping you from anything." She was always open to possible new friends though, then Lucian wouldn't be right all the time about her only spending time with HIM.

So pretentious.
William held out his hand for Calista next, since you know, he was so polite and all.
"He isn't?" Will's expression showed something like relief after that bit of news. "Interesting. I hope he doesn't start plotting against the castle since you took his job or something..."
He grinned cheekily at the new professor. "Anyway, Calista, it was nice meeting you, but I think I'm going to go check out now..." He held up his baggie of Jack's favorite treats and looked to the Defense prof. Medea? You coming?

Honestly. Clifford felt comfortable with this woman, and had no problem asking her for her help because she seemed quite willing to help him. Which he honestly liked. She was his first impression of Diagon Alley and it's frequenters and he found that he liked the place. Which was definitely good.
The man shook his head. "No, no. I asked you, remember? My schedule's wide open. I just had to submit these job applications, really." Though, he was pretty sure he'd wait another few days before submitting anymore.

Oh boy...
Eyebrows raising at such, ideas, Medea leaned over to grab the small bag of kitty treats, straightening up only to have William be making his leave. Aw well, they'd best leave the woman to her shopping, or whatever it was she was doing before they arrived.
She nodded when he looked to her, though momentarily turned her attention back to the new divination professor. "It vos indeed nice meeting you, Calista. Ve'll see you at the feast." And hopefully she wouldn't be late this time.
