Default Menagerie Displays

If it doesn't come in a cage or a tank, you will find it on the displays. Aside from the animals available in the store, you can also buy numerous supplies here as well. From health to medicinal to necessities to toys and accessories, you can find anything your new pet may need or desire just by browsing the displays! No matter the pet, you are sure to find a variety of supplies to welcome yours into the family, or pamper an old friend.

Numerous different foods can be found, from sensitive stomach to diet, and regular. If you need shampoo of any kind, they can be found in this area, too. If your pet has fleas or ticks, you can take care of them with a bottle or two. Of course, if you just want your Crup to stop smelling like wet Cruppie, these shampoos can even take care of that! While you're here, check out some of the grooming supplies. Brushes of all shapes, sizes, and materials are available. Snag a smaller brush to fluff up your pygmy puff's fur, maybe a wiry brush to tame your Niffler's hair, and your cat or dog would probably greatly enjoy a dander-snagging brush to keep them smooth and sparkly.

Necessary supplies include such items as tanks, aquariums, cages, travel cages, and more. Make sure to buy everything you need; wouldn't you hate to get home and find out you forgot something? If you need to, talk to the shop keeper to make sure you're buying the appropriate size and type of cage for your new pet. Some animals need much larger environments and some do not do well in certain types of cages.

If toys and accessories are what your pet is desiring, you'll find a plethora! Collars and leashes are just the tip of the iceberg. Your pet can be the most stylish if you pick up some nifty outfits for them. Mix and match the pieces to create a fashionable wardrobe! Booties are available for when the weather becomes too cold for your pets to bear it. All kinds of toys can be found here - from balls to squeaky toys, fake mice, feathers, dangly toys, shiny flashy toys... Your pet will never be bored with this selection.

When you've found the creature you've been looking for, please make your way to the counter for purchase!

If you are looking for animals, please see our creatures room.

Boys could be so gross sometimes. So immature, too! Nevertheless, she decided to be nice to him anyway. After all, he couldn't help that those of his species (i.e. boys) matured at a much slower rate than girls did. "Umm, no, I don't have a pet. I really want one, though. After I get an owl, I really want an iguana," she answered. She shrugged and glanced toward Trixie when the boy asked about taking any pet to Hogwarts. "I don't actually know. I'm going into my first year." She nodded toward Trixie then added, "This is Trixie, and she's the Head Girl. I bet she knows."

As she waited for Trixie to answer, she turned back to the boy as he asked about pets pooping in rooms. Sierra was suddenly really glad this boy was...well, a boy...because if his pet starting pooping, she could at least be comforted in knowing that it wouldn't be in her room.
"An iguana?" Rodney's eyes widened in awe, "but that's a boy pet. Girls are meant to have icky pets like ponies and fluffy things." HE wanted to get a giant lizard, but he couldn't if this girl was going to get one too! Gross.

Rodney eyed the girl suspiciously. She was going to be a first year too. Just like him. So they might be in the same classes..?

If she was smart, perhaps he could copy her homework.

The girl glanced at Sierra as she moved the question over to herself. Pfft... No need to introduce herself. "Yeah, like she said, I'm Trixie, Head Girl.." she repeated with a grin. It felt so good to say, weird but GREAT! "The school generally like to see Kneazles, toads.. that sort of thing, but my best friend had a tarantula.." Yeah which she absolutely hated and found it hilarious when it turned into a chipider. "Why? What were you thinking of getting?" she asked.

Poop?! Did he just say POOP?! Trixie found this kid absolutely HILARIOUS!! BAHA! "Err... Your pet is YOUR responsibility.. If it.. Poops.. then it is your job to clean up after it" she told him.
WHOA.

This girl - the really old one - was the HEAD GIRL? Rodney had no idea what that meant, but it sounded important. Was she like.. the Queen of Hoggyfarts or something?

"You have bats? Are they vampire bats? Do you let them suck your blood!?" If she did, Rodney might make an exception and think she was cool despite being a girl.

"I want to get a tarantula! At least if they poop there won't be a lot to clean up!" He exclaimed excitedly, wondering where they were kept. "Do tarantula's even poop?" He had no idea.

"You really are passionate about getting into Slytherin aren't you?" she asked with a slight smirk. "Tell me, do you think you have the true traits of a Slytherin?" she asked her eyebrow raised a little. She definitely did, and it was probably inevitable that she would be in that house. "Oh you have? I haven't spoken to many people yet, a few first years here and there.. a couple of older ones as well, but I've met mostly those around my age. I really should get out and meet more though.." or she could wait until the opening feast to do that of course. At least then they'd all be in the same area and she would know which ones are slytherins and those who are not. Then again, as Head Girl she should meet everyone.

"It depends what type of mood your in really, yeah its fun to go there with your friends but sometimes you want to just stay and study..." or was that just her? She was a bit of a swot after all.

Sierra simply nodded in response to Trixie's question about being passionate about getting sorted into Slytherin. There were just no other options as far as Sierra was concerned. She had to be sorted into Slytherin. Nothing else made any sense at all. When Trixie asked if Sierra thought she had the true traits of a Slytherin, Sierra just narrowed her eyes a bit and studied Trixie. Was this a trick question?!

"Of course I have the true traits of a Slytherin. My father was a Slytherin, and he tells me that out of all three of his children, I'm the only one that shows the true traits of a snake. My sister was in Gryffindor, and she was the Head Girl, too," Sierra explained. "I'm not sure where my twin brother is going to end up, but...I don't think he'll be in Slytherin." Her voice sort of dropped as she talked about Alex. She really wished he wasn't so Hufflepuff.

Sierra really wanted to talk more about meeting people and what life at Hogwarts would be like, but with all this talk of animals and their poop, it was kind of hard to concentrate on anything else. Sierra turned her attention back to the boy as Trixie started answering his questions. She listened carefully to hear whether or not she could bring an iguana. "So...an iguana would be alright?" she asked. Truthfully, she didn't even have permission to buy an iguana yet. Maybe if she bought it before she actually asked her parents, it'd be too late to have to ask for permission.

"Yeah, an iguana. I've wanted one for a really long time," Sierra answered. A boys pet? Was there really any such thing as a boys pet? Sierra didn't think so. Then again, though, she was talking to a boy who used the word poop more than the word the, and that was saying a lot! "Ponies and fluffy things? I don't want something like a Pygmy Puff, though," she said, making a face as she said the word Puff. It reminded her far too much of Hufflepuff house, and Sierra and Hufflepuff just didn't mix well at all.

"So what's your name, and how old are you?" she asked. He seemed to like questions, so she figured she should ask some of her own. She widened her eyes as she proceeded to spit out what seemed like a hundred more questions before she could even ask her two! ...and he was talking about poop again. At least this time he was talking about an animal that didn't poop, though! Or...did tarantulas poop? Again, she turned to Trixie for the answer.

Okaaaay.. So he wasn't going to tell her his name, or make any comments whatsoever on her Head Girlness. HMPH! "That means I'm..Head of Student Body I guess..." she informed him. Along with the Head Boy of course, whomever he was. "Whats your name kid?" she asked him.

What... the....Heck?

Does she let them suck her blood? What KIND of question was that. "NO they're fruit bats.. That's just... repulsive" she stared at him, yes STARED. "You wouldn't be allowed one of them at Hogwarts..." she told him. As long as they weren't dangerous wasn't it? As long as they could do no harm.

Which is why she was surprised Oli was allowed Mrs Spider. That thing was ruddy dangerous and bloomin terrifying. She wouldn't go near it in the Common Room. "I wouldn't advise getting one of them... Not unless you want to scare of half the students at the school.." she told him. "They're difficult to look after too" Yes she was convincing him NOT to get one.

So she definitely thought she was going to be one then? Was she shifty, sarcastic, big headed.. No wait that was just Trixie's traits. Teehee... "My family have been entirely Slytherins..." and quite frankly proud of it. Oh her sister was Head Girl? "Maybe she could give me a little advice then" the seventeen year old winked. Then again she could get advice off her bestie, but that wouldn't exactly be a good idea. She was as prepared as she could ever be. "What house do you think your twin will be in then?" she asked, not meaning to be nosey, she was just interested. She had friends in all the houses after all, incredibly close friends in most.

"I would think so.. What exactly does your requirements say?" she asked. Maybe it would be safer for them to get simple pets, but there was a huge variety of animals around Hogwarts it was hard to tell whether they were allowed or not.

She wanted to know his name now? Nosy!

"My name is Rodney Belcher and I turned eleven last week. What about you?"

... head of student body? Rodney still didn't understand what that meant. She was in charge of everyone's body? The eleven year old took a tiny, nervous step backwards. Scary.

"Fruit bats aren't as cool. You should trade them for vampire ones. They're way more awesomer." He wanted vampire ones. Blood sucking bats. And he could set them on anyone that might bully him. Noone would mess with him at Hoggyfarts if he had vampire bats on his side.

But hey, scare half the students at school?

Rodney's eyes lit up at the Head Girl's words. Scare people? Yes please. A tarantula it was then!

"Difficult to look after? I'll let it crawl around and find it's own dinner. Then I won't have to look after him. I'll call him Sydney. Sydney Spider." Now where were the spiders!?

Sierra sort of half-smiled, half-laughed lightly as she listened to Trixie talk to the boy. She could tell all this talk of pets, poop, and blood was getting to the Head Girl. Had Sierra not been one-half of a set of twins which involved herself a boy, she just might be a little put off, too. As it was, though, she was a little used to boys and their barbaric ways of thinking. Granted, though, Alex and this boy were really nothing alike. Sierra couldn't remember a time when Alex liked to talk about poop and blood. Then again, that could be because Alex has two sisters and zero brothers. He was far outnumbered.

Sierra suddenly realized the conversation had been directed back to her, and she quickly chimed in with, "I wish my entire family was made up of Slytherins. All the Greingoths from my father on back are Slytherin, though. My mom's side is a mixture of Slytherins and Gryffindors," she explained. Nodding, Sierra turned and pointed to a little shop a few doors down. It was called GothSaints and had a picture of a cauldron on the shop's sign. "That's partly my sister's shop. She's a Potions mistress."

Sierra didn't mention that she thought Alex would be a Hufflepuff. She was still holding on to the hope that there may be an ounce or two more of bravery than loyalty inside of him. "I'm not too sure about Alex. I just know that he's no Slytherin, unfortunately," she said. When Trixie mentioned requirements, Sierra just shrugged. "Umm, I don't know. What do they usually say?"

Confused, Sierra turned to the boy and said, "Scared of lizards? No way. I don't have fears," she said, stretching the truth on that last line. She was scared of really dark magic that she couldn't defend herself against, but lizards? No way. "Lizards are just tiny little creatures. They don't do much harm at all," she said. "If you like Pygmy Puffs, why don't you buy one?" He just might get laughed out of the Great Hall, though...

His last name was Belcher? Eww. Only a kid who talked about poop and blood would have a last name like Belcher. "My name's Sierra Greingoth, and I turned eleven in March. So we'll both be first years. Cool," she said. Or, at least, she thought it'd be cool. The second the kid let out some gross-smelling bodily function near her, there would be war. "So which Hogwarts house do you want to be sorted into?" That was obviously the next most important question. Those things mattered!

The cat hadn't eaten since this morning? Well, no wonder she keeps running away then, Vashti thought. Poor thing must be hungry. And that creepy smirk that suddenly appeared on Louisa's face? Yeah, she wasn't going to even think about commenting on it. "Yeah, I'm coming," she said with a nod. "That is, if you don't mind me doing so."
Why did the coughs suddenly attack Vashti? Hmm? It's not winter and no colds were common these days. Louisa shrugged. Maybe it's just come kind of allergy. "Of course I don't mind you coming. We can look for Kitty's favorite and find her quickly." She turned around and walked with quickly paces toward the Menagerie Creatures, checking on Vashti as she moved forward.

Louisa rushed into the shop along with Vashti. She dashed into the section where cats food was displayed and started choosing. "Mmm.. we need to find that cheese flavored biscuits. She loves it." Her finger touched every item she browsed. "I don't know what it's called though." She told Vashti and glanced around at her to see if she's helping or not... just glancing.

"Bowels flavored cream... liver flavored rice... mice flavored chips.." Eew. Now where was that food? Kitty must be too far away right now. Louisa let out a bored sigh as she walked slowly to the end of this shelf and then turned around to the other.

Miraculously cured of her coughs now, Vashti followed Louisa into the shop and to the food section. She'd never been in here before, having no pet to take care of and no money to afford a pet anyway. It was...interesting, to say the least. The animals were a bit noisy - or maybe that was just all the people that were in here. Hm. Either way.

Cheese-flavored? Cats liked cheese? She supposed that kind of made sense - cats liked milk and cheese had milk in it, right? Yeah. But why in Merlin's name would they eat bowel-flavored and liver-flavored food, according to the labels Louisa was reading off? Gross. Thank Merlin they weren't looking for those things.

She turned to another shelf Louisa hadn't yet inspected and scanned the labels, searching for the cheese one. Chicken-flavored... chicken hearts (ew!)... more liver (double ew!)... not cheese, not cheese, not cheese, cheese, not- Wait!

"I think I found it," she said, grabbing the little box that had Cheese-flavored biscuits! printed on the front. She held it out for Louisa to examine and see if it was the right brand.

Liver, bowels, starfish (!!), cats meat- Uh Oh. Why was this shelf full of weird stuff? Louisa looked up at the floating sign indicating the name of it which said: "Food for Not-So-Domestic creatures." o_O O..k..a..y. This was so not the right sect-

She heard Vashti calling and quickly ran to see the box she held. "Yep! That's the one.." Louisa took it happily and examined it closely. Dang! "This is truly a cheesy food.. but not for cats." She pointed at the little mouse drawn behind. "This is mice's food." Ugh! Now they have to search again.

Or not.

"Which might totally work." The same evil smirk Kitty surely wasn't going to find out that this biscuits wasn't the same till she shows up and smells it closely.. right? So that was the point of the whole thing. She'll capture the kitten and then worry about getting her the right food. MWAHAHAHA!

Ahem. Ahem. "Shall we go and pay for it?" She told Vashti rather than asked her. "Or do you plan to buy your own pet?" She once told Louisa that she didn't have one, right? They were in the shop already so… that made sense to the girl. "But we need to choose quickly or else Kitty would be in Knockturn Alley by now." And she so didn't intend on going in there while she was an under-age girl with a useless wand.

Oh. It was food for a mouse? How on earth had she not seen the picture? Wow, she was out of it. Vashti started to take the box from Louisa to put it back on the shelf, but suddenly the creepy smirk was back and now she was saying mice food would work. Vashti almost opened her mouth to protest but decided against it. Louisa was the owner, so she would know whether her cat would like mice food or not, wouldn't she? Yeah. It wasn't like it was toxic for cats or anything.

Was it?

She quickly scanned the side of the box for any word that slightly resembled the word "toxic" but found nothing, and Louisa was speaking again anyway, which distracted her from reading the box. She shook her head. "Oh no, I don't need a pet right now," she answered. "I'd need my mum's permission anyway, and she didn't tell me to get a pet before I left." And there was the little matter that she couldn't afford one even if she wanted a pet, but she wasn't letting that little fact out of the bag.

"I'll just wait outside while you go pay," she added. "You know, just to make sure Kitty doesn't dart past the shop while we're in here or anything." And she really hoped the cat hadn’t wandered into Knockturn Alley – though she was slightly curious as to what all was in that part of Diagon Alley, she knew it wasn’t the place for someone like her to go.

Hang on... Was he backing away from her? B..But nobody ever backed away from her. She stared at him, like really stared. "That doesn't mean I'm scary or whatever ideas your brain is currently coming up with. Which quite frankly I don't want to know.." she stated. Trixie was the least scariest person.. Actually that wasn't totally true. She was probably terrifying when she went mental in Muggle Studies but that really wasn't her fault. "It just means I'm.. Oh just look it up" she didn't really know how to explain the term.

"No! They're really cool actually..." she frowned. "And at least they're not harmful, I don't want to be in danger of having my blood sucked thank you very much" she stated. "And I'm not going to trade in beloved pets. Thats just.. CRUEL" the blondie frowned. She screwed up her face at the mention of blood however. The seventeen year old wasn't exactly squeamish but she didn't particularly enjoy this talk either.

O________O

The look in his eyes kinda worried the Head Girl. She hadn't put ideas in his head had she? Bad ideas.

"I really wouldn't do that if I were you" she told him, an eyebrow raised trying to look all important and like she knew what she was talking about. Her hand placed on her hip as she continued to speak. "It would cause utter mayhem if you let the spider out by itself, you'd probably end up in BIG trouble." Yeah if that wasn't convincing enough, what was?

The Slytherin chimed into the two younger students conversation about Pygmy Puffs. Those cute pink balls of fluff really. "I have one of them, they're cute but they don't exactly do much" she stated. "You'd have to go to Weasley's place to get one of them" she informed them both.

Trix turned back to the younger female however, at least she would provide a conversation that would be a lot more pleasant and contain a considerable amount less talk of poop and blood... and just disgusting things. Conversation with her would be a lot more civilized.

"But don't you think its pleasant to have variation in your family? At least that way you get to find out whats happening in and around the school" she asked. "I must say, I have tons of friends in the other houses, Its funner that way" Though her best friend was a Slytherin. Gah it well and truly sucked that she would be all lonely in the Common room now he had left*Siiiiigh* "Oh. That's exciting" the Blondes head turned in the direction the younger was pointing. Trixie had NO idea what she was going to do with her life after she left. She had all of her OWL's, she could go in any direction, but there wasn't anything that sprung out at her. All she knew was that she wanted a job where near Diagon Alley, for more than one reason.

"All of the houses are amazing though..." she reasurred her. Obviously Sierra was set and intent of becoming a Slytherin, almost like she was obsessed with the house. Cute. But her brother being in another house wasn't so bad. "I'm not sure. Truthfully I didn't start here as a first year, I joined slightly later. And well, even if I had, Memory Loss doesn't exactly help." Yeah it sucked basically.

He had no idea what Sierra and the scary Head Girl were talking about. Something about Slitheries and Griffindoors. It was like some different language and when they were talking that jibberish, he stood on his tiptoes to get a better look at the displays.

Perhaps he ought to ask the shopkeeper about that tarantula..

"Greingoth is a funny name," Rodney gigglesnorted, completely forgetting what his mum had said about manners. "And I don't have a house, we live in a cottage." The Belcher Cottage!

He didn't believe anything this girl said. She was in charge of bodies. That was just plain CREEPY. He was going to tell his mum.. maybe then she wouldn't let him go to the funny school where even the boys had to wear dresses.

He wasn't sure if he wanted to go there anymore.

"Is the headteacher nice?" Rodney asked, completely forgetting about the tarantula when the Head Girl said he'd probably get into trouble. "Does he wear a dress too? And a pointy hat with stars on it?" He'd seen a magician like that on the television before. "Does he have a giant beard and a magic stick and go abra kadabra!?"

Sierra turned her attention back to Trixie. So the Head Girl had a Pygmy Puff? Sierra bet it was really cute and fluffy. Sure, she wasn't really interested in owning a Pygmy Puff herself, but she didn't hate the little creatures. "So what do you do with your Pygmy Puff then? Does he move around a lot or play at all?" she asked, genuinely curious about the creatures. She turned in the direction of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. Maybe she'd drop by later on just to see the little guys in action.

Shrugging, Sierra said, "I don't think I'd mind variation too much, but we've just never had much of it. As a matter of fact, my dad's entire family was made up of Slytherins until he married my mum. That's how the Gryffindors were introduced into the family," she explained. She thought about what Trixie was saying and guessed it would be interesting to interact with people in other houses. She wondered if the traits of each house really did apply in real life. Were Gryffindors really brave? Ravenclaws really smart? Hufflepuffs really that loyal? She knew Slytherins could really be cunning and ambitious, but she also knew them to make really good friends, too.

Sierra listened to the further talk on the different houses, and she even nodded in acknowledgment when Trixie mention Anna's shop. One thing in particular stood out to her, though. "Memory loss?" she questioned. Maybe she shouldn't have asked such a personal question, but Trixie did bring it up, so Sierra thought it was alright to ask.

Rodney Belcher...

...was going to drive Sierra insane. She suddenly found herself silently wishing he'd end up in Hufflepuff or any other house besides Slytherin! Maybe Ravenclaw or Gryffindor, since their Common Rooms were supposedly really far away from the Slytherin Common Room. That way, if his stupid pets got loose and pooped all over the castle, it'd at least likely happen as far away from Sierra as possible.

She really wanted to defend her last name. Or pound his face in, one. She didn't, though. Why? Only because she realized that the comment had come from a kid who not only enjoyed talking about things like poop, he also had no idea what the houses of Hogwarts were! "Are you muggleborn?" she finally asked. Sierra didn't have a preference about muggleborns one way or the other, but this kid had to have been born of muggles! Did he know anything about who he really was?!

"I mean the houses of Hogwarts, not houses that you actually live in," she clarified. Well, she guessed you could consider your Hogwarts house as a group you technically lived with (during the school year, at least), but she didn't want to confuse him any further. "When you first get to Hogwarts, you're assigned to one of the four houses, and that's the group you'll live with, eat with, play Quidditch with, and earn points with for the next seven years."

She paused to let that information sink in. Hopefully it'd sink in! "Slytherins are known to be cunning, ambitious, and really determined to do well," she said, glancing at Trixie to make sure she was saying that correctly. "Gryffindors are known to be really noble and brave. Ravenclaws are supposedly really, really smart, and then the Hufflepuffs are supposed to be really loyal to their friends."

Again, she looked at Trixie. The Head Girl probably knew lots more about this type of thing than she did! "I don't think all those traits apply to everyone in a house, though. Some people have traits from all the houses, even," she continued. For that reason, Sierra still had hope that her twin brother would at least be a Gryffindor! "...and like Trixie said, you can have friends from any of the houses if you choose to."

Alice walked in to the Displays section with her new kitten. She wasn't sure if she really needed a new traveling cage or toys since her parents had a cat before it died and she could just ask to lend it for her kitten but cat food was a definite yes. She scanned the aisles looking for Cat food and found it after walking back and forth a few times. She found a shelf filled with "Kitty Kibbles", Alice took one off the shelf and read the labels. "I'm guessing a medium box will do. I hope you don't eat too much hehe" she said to herself and took a medium sized box off the shelf. "To the counter!" she thought to herself.

With her new kitty, Ice, in hand. Cass headed for the displays to pick out a few things for Ice. She walked along the shelves taking two huge packs of Kitty Kibble, a cat cage, a cat basket, an ice blue collar, a matching leash, brush, shampoo, and a couple of toys. When she was finally finished, she carried all of her purchases to the counter.

Rodney carried on staring blankly. Sierra liked to talk. She liked to talk A LOT. She was like a walking talking encyclopedia and most of what she just said went in one ear and straight out of the other.

What was she ON about? Muggleborn? Kwidutch? Raveycaws and Pufflehuffs!?

Was he meant to understand what any of this stuff even meant!?

O_____O

"I'm not a muggerborn, I'm a Rita and Bernard born actually. That's what my mum and dad are called." Maybe her parents were called mugger? And anyway, he'd come in here to search for a pet!

"D'you know where the spiders are kept?" Might as well ask!

*STAAAAAARE*

What was with this kid? Number one, he actually looked creeped out by her. Trixie wasn't creepy, she was the least creepiest person you could meet. Well unless you caught her with a beaters bat in the middle of a match, then she might look a little scary. Especially if you were only a first year Hufflepuff. Oops O_O

The Slytherin started to scowl as he avoided answering her questions and instead went off about the Headmaster. "I... Yeah, he is" she smiled. She hadn't really spoken to him much, but he was great at.. well no one had died had they? And well, DADA was pretty fun last term.

Pointy hat? Stars? WHUT?!?! "I have no idea what your going on about" she stared down at the kid again. And then he was asking about the whereabouts of the spiders. "I generally don't go in the spiders direction" she stated folding her arms.

Pfft... Her threats werent working!

What DID she do with her Pygmy Puff? "Not a lot" the Head Girl stated. "It kinda sits around all day and looks generally cute and fluffy" she told her. Wasn't as cool as her Kneazle. Nope. But honestly, the favourite of her animals wasn't even magical, it was her horses. She did have Four three of them after all. Actually, where had her Puff gone? Somewhere in her home probably. "I'd recommend one if you wanted something thats not that hard to look after" she laughed.

"Ive just had Slytherin.. and more Slytherins" she stated smiling slightly. yes she was proud of her snakey heritage, but would it really be that bad to be placed in another house? Besides, if it wasn't for her sarcastic manner, sneaky nature and whatever else made her a true slytherin, she'd probably be in Ravenclaw. She was clever after all, no common sense, but the girl had brains. She had 12 OWL's after all.

Everyone always seemed to pick up on the Memory Loss. She didn't think it was that much of a big deal anymore. It was something she'd learn to live with and forget. Her recent memories were far more precious then the ones she had just lost. "Yeah I had an..incident in my fifth year. Someone lost it, threw me up against a wall, well stupefied me and I landed on the wall. Had a bit of a hit to my head. But me and him, we're good friends now. And I still can't remember a lot of things, but honestly? I don't care" she grinned at the wannabe slytherin.

"Thats right" Trixie stated as she saw Sierra glance at her when she was explaining the traits of each of the houses. "We're the shifty lot" Trixie giggled. "But like Sierra said, we could have traits from everyone. Like myself, I love my friends and I'm most certainly loyal to my bestie, I have brains and... Okay I'm not really the Gryffie type, I'm scared of a lot of things" she giggled. Bravery wasn't something she lived up to.

The Seventeen year old looked down at her watch and was alarmed to see what the time was. She was meant to be back 10 minutes ago, the horses needed taking out and well, she didn't want to still be out in the dark. "I'm really sorry but I have to go. It was a pleasure meeting you..." she looked at the Rodney kid, "Both of you. And I'll be seeing you at Hogwarts. At the Slythie table hopefully" she smirked before...

Sierra wasn't a hundred percent sure, but she sort of got the impression that the Head Girl was having similar thoughts about Rodney. Sierra sort of thought the boy was...well, weird...and from the looks Trixie was giving him, Sierra thought she might feel the same way, too. Were all eleven-year-old boys like this?!

No, no, they couldn't be! Alex didn't really act a lot like Rodney. Then again, Alex could be a pain all by himself, too. He was afraid of flying--and wanted to be in Hufflepuff, for Merlin's sake! Suddenly, Sierra got the feeling that not all of Hogwarts was going to be as exciting as she'd thought it would be. She'd be surrounded by poop-talking, spider-loving, pet-owning, clueless boys!

Turning toward Trixie, Sierra nodded as the Head Girl told more about her Pygmy Puff. The little creatures did look cute, and they seemed really easy to look after, but Sierra was still sold on getting an iguana. The rest of conversation was sort of lost, as Sierra just stood there, wide-eyed in disbelief, as she listened to Trixie tell how she was thrown against a wall in her fifth year, causing her to lose most of her memory. If someone managed to do that to a fifth year, what in Merlin's name would they do to a first year?! Sierra really needed to learn more spells...

Was he meant to understand what any of this stuff even meant!?

O_____O

"I'm not a muggerborn, I'm a Rita and Bernard born actually. That's what my mum and dad are called." Maybe her parents were called mugger? And anyway, he'd come in here to search for a pet!

"D'you know where the spiders are kept?" Might as well ask!

...seriously?

Sierra turned her attention back to Rodney. What was going on with this kid? Did he know anything about the magical world? Had she not known from talking to him that he was heading to Hogwarts, she'd have thought maybe he was a muggle. "Muggles are what we call people who don't perform magic like we do. So if neither of your parents perform magic, you're muggleborn," she explained. She'd go into a whole spill about half-bloods and pure-bloods, but she had a feeling she'd be getting nowhere with this kid.

Trixie may not have known where the spiders were kept, but lucky for Sierra, she'd spotted them on her way around the shop. She was more than happy to point Rodney in the right direction--away from her! "They're on the last aisle in the back of the shop," she said, pointing in the right direction.

It seemed everyone was heading on their way then, which was just as well, since Sierra still had some shopping to do. "I better get going, too. Have a good rest of the summer," she told them both. Even Rodney, who she was now pretty sure...

...was going to drive her insane for the next seven years. She turned on her heels and headed out the door and back into the streets.

Holding the nameless, white Persian kitten in one arm, she picked up a bag of Kitty nibbles. "This is impossible." She groaned, glancing at her parents outside the shop. Quirrha almost dropped the bag when the kitten squirmed in her arm. She squeezed it as if to say 'stop moving or I will kill you when we get on the train!' She ran to the counter, ready to make a purchase.

Aurora skipped into the display room and looked around... so much stuff. She had no idea what to buy for Salvatore (she had decided on the name almost immediately after seeing the little Salamander). She turned to see her mother entering the room in a much more dignified way.
"Mother, you know Uncle Rufin, he keeps lizards doesn't he?"
"Yes, I'll ask him to bring over a tank and things for your new pet, all you need is some food. I'm sure he wont mind if you carry him, I'll light a fire for him when we get home."
Aurora heaved a sigh of relief, at least she didn't have to go through the stress of finding the right cage. She walked to a display of reptile paraphernalia and looked for food. Salvatore poked his head out from the sleeve of her robes and crawled into her hand, she held him out to the shelf and laughed as he immediately made straight for a particular bag of food. That was easy she thought.
She made her way to the counter.

Andie's next stop was getting the other stuff involved with having a turtle. So a tank, some form of food for the turtle and that would be it, right? She was mainly glad she was away from the animals. Here there was only food, cages and etc.

Andie grabbed a tank, levitating it as she put the turtle into it. What she really needed was more hands.

She picked up some fish flakes on her way to the counter for her fishies that she had at home. Though she didn't know what turtles ate. She'd ask at the counter for that.

Kana had insisted. With the last bit of her money, she wanted to buy a few things for her pets. Moving to Hogwarts would be strange for them, she wanted to do something nice for them. Thankfully, her mom and dad decided to wait across the street at sugarplums. What they didn't know was that she had brought one of her pets with her.

She approached the shelves, deciding to look for toys first. As she knealt on the floor to examine the lower-placed items, said pet poked it's head out of her front hoodie pocket. Kit Caboodles, an adorable little ferret, gave a few sniffs. Kana looked down.

"You stay there, okay? I don't need to get in trouble today." The ferret tucked it's head back into the pocket and curled up. Kanalynne inspected the shiny toys, usually intended for cats, as well as the ones that made little crinkling noises. Kit loved those. She picked up three, as well as two little ones for Pigeon.

Rising, she crossed to the collars. Obviously, Pigeon didn't need one, but would Kit? She was always so good about coming back to her, and didn't wander far... but Hogwarts was so big... She looked for one to match her fur. She needed one that was tiny--very tiny-- with a tag juuuussst big enough to fit her name and Kana's abbreviated name-- no WAY her whole name would fit. Kanalynne Marie Basthowe.

She finally found a tiny blue collar with little shiny studs in it. That would mean Kit would probably actually like the collar-- and the studs were Kana's own preference. The tag, if engraved properly, would just fit 'Kit Caboodles, K. Basthowe, Ravenclaw'. Perfect.

Orabelle was walking through here... for some reason. Oh, yes. She had decided whichever animal could have the cutest accessories she would purchase. And these... well, they were just disappointing her. Because honestly, how was she going to choose an amazingly cu-yoot animal to match her if there were no cute things for them?! It just wasn't possible. She was slightly irritated and as she continued to walk up and down the displays her Miu Miu heels would click on the floor. Ugh, ugh and ugh. And then quadruple ugh. Where were the pretty things for pretty animals? Hulloooo?

With Janie held to her side with a purple sparkly ribbon tied around her neck loosely, Hallie stepped into the animal shop. She looked around at all the cages, and couldn't believe such a place even existed. Her father was forcing her to get her own supplies for Janie, the small white kitten who was looking around and getting slightly scared. "It's alright pretty kitty." She told Janie, scratching her ears and getting a purr in response. "We're gonna get what we need and get out of this mess." She declared as she began walking forward. Kitty food, and a new cage. That's all she needed and that's all she was going to get. No need in wasting more time then needed in such an awful place.

"Oh my!" She exclaimed with a large smile on her face, "Someone knows what good shoes are!" Hallie said over dramatically. Sure they weren't practical walking shoes, but if you were used to them, it didn't matter. Hallie looked down at her very own Miu Miu heels. Someone she could finally bond with...even if they were in a horrible mess of a place.

Orabelle glanced over her oversized D&G sunglasses to see another girl there with her little kitten in her arms. She glanced down at the other girl's shoes and wrinkled her nose just slightly. Hmph. Someone was totally apple-c'ing her, but c'mon. Who wouldn't? She was amazing after all. Still, she managed a smile. "Yes... how... interesting, besides, a girl can only have the best," Orabelle drawled out, eying the little kitten. Cute but... not cute enough. "Cute feline," she added. Just to be polite... kinda... not really...

The girl's Miu Miu's looked... safe. Which was good... she supposed. But hers were stylish and that was what mattered even more so. What mattered was that her shoes was still better, she was not settling for second place in terms of fashion.

Penny pushed open the door to the Menagerie shop, holding the door open so that Levi. The pup trotted in on her heels making the 14 year old smile. Letting the door close behind them she started perusing the displays looking for some toys and such for the little tyke. It wasn't before long that she came upon two girls that gave her pause. People around here were so very different then the ones back home.

The one girl looked to be about her own age but she was wearing all designer cloths. Penny readjusted her stetson on her red head and looked down at her own apparel. She was wearing a blue button up shirt and her best pair of wranglers. While the other girls were in heels, Penny was wearing black converse that she had gotten for Christmas last year.

She felt extremely out of place compared to the two of them. Sighing she shoved her hands in her pockets and went back to looking over the merchandise. Where were the collars anyway?
