Primpernelle's Salon and Spa http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j...psyocmuseq.png As you step into the salon, you will find yourself transported back in time to the 1950’s with the décor of bright, vibrant colours and old fashioned hair dryers that fit over your head as you sit back and relax as it sets your hair. There is a house elf that runs around assisting the stylist, serving customers and sweeping up all the hair clippings. Throughout the salon are mirrors that when you look into them will say things such as ‘Fabulous you are darling!’ or ‘You look smashing!’ https://s19.postimg.org/beef3rshv/Untitled-design_1.jpg Hair Cuts Child (ages 0-10) - 10 Sickles Perms Tight Curl – 3 Galleons Hair Colouring 1 Colour – 2 Galleons Hair Styling https://s19.postimg.org/dvq6b1k43/Untitled-design.jpgWedding/Fancy Style – 5 Galleons Waxing Legs – 10 Sickles Manicures/Pedicures Full Set (Hands and Feet) – 2 Galleons Massage 10 min chair – 1 Galleon Makeup Facial – 8 Sickles Spa Packages Half Day – 5 Galleons |
It was a full day, but Esme wouldn't have it any different. She always had a good time when she went out with the girls and she wanted to make sure they had a good time today. They were her bridesmaids after all and, after they had their dress fittings and lunch, she thought they could all benefit from an afternoon at the spa. She had heard of the Grand Opening and figured they might be running some specials. Plus they could check out the place to see if they wanted them to do their hair and makeup on her wedding day. Following in behind Cheri and Kristin, Esme walked into the shop and headed towards the salon and spa, knowing the rest of the girls were just behind her. "Oh this is so cute," she murmured as she looked around at the decor. Her grey eyes soon finding the package descriptions and prices, she looked everything over. "What do you girls think... half day spa package?" That sounded good to her - mani, pedi, and massage. Perfect for an afternoon of pampering. |
This was beyond awesome! As the youngest of the bridesmaids Cythia had thought it was so great to get to hangout with such well known people. Quidditch people. Though her brother being a quidditch person himself she should have been use to it, but this was different. This was women that were including her on their day. Following in behind Esme she couldn't believe she was gaining a sister. "Oh I don't care whatever you guys want to do is fine." She was secretly thankful her brother had given her money for today. Her part time job and the muggle money she carried in her purse wouldn't work very well here. Looking at the things that she could get she turned, "I think I want to get my nails done while we are here too." Looking down at her blue she wasn't feeling it anymore. |
Text Cut: Bridal group Kat was just finishing putting a few finishing touches on the tables to make sure each station was ready for anything that might possibly happen, when she heard voices and looked up expectantly, grinning when she saw a number of women enter the spa and salon. She was really excited that the salon was finally open, and hoped it would be a huge hit! She'd been doing nothing but advertising for months and finally they were open! She walked over to the group and smiled at each of them "Hello and welcome to Primpernelle's Salon, I'm Kat, what can I do for you?" she asked. She'd caught the question about the half day spa package but also about one of them wanting her nails done. Lots of fun! She couldn't wait to get started. Okay maybe she should tone down the excitement a bit or she might frighten people off. Yep, keep her voice nice and steady. And no jumping around. Bah, she was too old for that last part, well not that old but no jumping around. Yep. |
Still looking at the list of services, Esme nodded as Cynthia spoke. "The half-day spa package includes nails," she said pointing to it on the board. "Manicure, pedicure, and massage.. What do you think?" She turned to her future sister-in-law with a grin. It sounded good to her at least, even if it meant they'd be there a little while. That wasn't a problem, was it? She looked to the other girls to see what they thought. "On me, of course." They'd have to take care of their own styling and pampering the day of the wedding if they chose this place or another, but she was taking them out today. She started to head over to the nail samples as Cheri was pointing them out when she heard another voice who apparently belonged to the owner or shopkeeper. "Hi, I'm Esme," she greeted her back with a smile, half-wondering if she might be a Quidditch fan and might recognize her. But as she was not one to revel in the spotlight, she didn't much care either way. "I'm getting married in a few months and my bridesmaids and I are out doing wedding things, so we thought we'd stop in and try out the spa. The half-day package, I think?" Did she have other employees around because her attending to all six of them might be a little much for one person to handle. |
Muirgen hasn't been in a spa in so long, but she remembered perfect the cozy feeling it had and she was looking forward to the afternoon. Interesting style and Muirgen related to the vibrant colours because of her own vibrant red hair. "Sounds great!" She told Esme when her friend checked what they thought about the half day spa package. And she smiled when the Captain said it was all on her. Muirgen already had plans of dropping a few galleons into Esme's bag without her noticing. Not now, though, it would be too obvious. Aw, the shopkeeper looked really excited. Bless her! Probably a Quidditch fan? Or maybe she just really wanted customers and now she had six of them at the same time! Esme explained to her their plans on getting a half day spa package, but she still sounded uncertain, so Muirgen smiled and nodded encouragingly once again. Holy Merlin, was that what Muirgen thought it was?? A Charmed mirror that showed you your appearance before you got a make over. It was! Muirgen had always had lots of fun with those, so she stepped in front of one while Esme dealt with the shopkeeper and started testing many different hairdos. She knew they weren't there to do their hair that afternoon, but she was only having fun. It almost felt like she was an metamorphmagus and she loved it, especially because she lacked skills to Charm her own hair. |
Oh, the package came with nails. Well that was a dumb move in front of all the players. Gosh Cynthia felt really dumb. The brunette pushed back her long hair and nodded, "That sounds wonderful. but you don't have to pay for all of us. You and Giles can use that money for the honeymoon or something." Her brother had given her money to spend in the shop and she liked spending her brothers money. She watched as the Shopkeeper came over and bounced on her heels nervously. Being one of the only ones that didn't deal with wizarding things daily, she couldn't help but let her eyes bounce around as fast as her body was. Glancing towards one of the other bridesmaids she saw her moving towards a mirror, "What's that?" She pointed at it and watched as Muirgen moved towards it. |
She smiled at the other two as they made a beeline towards one of the mirrors "You just tell the mirror exactly what you want and it'll show you how it will look on you." she said kindly to them before turning towards Esme again. ""Oh wonderful!" she said brightly nodding. She loved the spa packages, and had given out a few gifts of those packages to friends and a few family members whom she knew would appreciate it! Err....six of them. Merlin she hadn't rehired a new assistant yet. Well, they would make it work just fine, each of them having plenty of pampering and checking anything they wanted out while others were having things done. Just relaxing for their half-day wasn't a really big problem. Any complaints and she'd hand out coupons |
Esme shook her head dismissively as Cynthia said she didn't have to treat them. "Oh no, I want to do this today as a thank you for being in my wedding and helping get things ready." Not that she minded shopping all that much, she knew it had been kind of a long day with dresses and shoes, and she could do this for them today. "If you wanted to come again before the wedding, then maybe you could pay for yourself, but today's on me." She looked towards where the younger girl was gesturing and followed her gaze to where Muirgen was looking at some of the mirrors. Oooh, was it changing her hairstyle in the reflection? How cool! And Esme rushed over to see how different her friend would look. Hmm, maybe she should try one out herself to see what she'd like for her wedding day. "Do you know how you want to wear your hair for the wedding?" she asked Muirgen. It didn't matter to her, but she was interested. Esme glanced back up at the shopkeeper as she said she was ready when they were. "That sounds good," she smiled. But what color did she want? Maybe she should go with her wedding colors to accent, though she knew she'd need them redone by September. "Maybe like a mint or soft green? Do you do designs too?" She wandered towards the nail section. |
Muirgen was telling the mirror a million and one hairdos and she would turn her head to each side to have a better look at each one as her reflection changed every other second. This thing was amazing, she really needed one in her house! Though there was probably no point since she wouldn't be able to do it herself because she wasn't skilled enough on that, unfortunately. She was busy telling the mirror what to do next, but she was about to answer Cynthia when she shopkeeper beat her to it. "What she said." The redhead gave the other bridesmaid a quick grin and continued on her quest of... basically having fun until Esme herself came ans asked if she had an idea of hairdo she wanted for the wedding. "I thought of plaitin' the front from 'ere to 'ere, like that." She gestured with her hand diagonally over her long fringe. "'Ave the rest of it down like that, with curls." She told Esme and the mirror at the same time and turned to look at her reflection once again. "That! But you tell me, it's your weddin'." Muirgen finally stopped looking at the mirror and followed the shopkeeper and Esme towards the nail section. Green looked really good on her, although it could look a bit Christmas-y because of her hair. Muirgen didn't really mind that, but she didn't like the idea of having the exact same nail colour as Esme. They already wore matching outfits when they played Quidditch, they didn't have to have matching nails either. She would take a look at the colour they had there. |
Cynthia watched everything going on around her. It was interesting and she stayed attentive to all the conversations. " Well that's very sweet of you Esme." She felt a little weird about her future sister in law paying for her, but then again it was going to be family. Her eyes turned to the shopkeeper as she said about different things and then talked about the mirror. "Very interesting." Walking up in front of it she watched as it moved her image to an updo, "I think I want this for your wedding." She always thought she looked good, but this mirror would really come in handy to make sure she looked hot. Her dark eyes turned as she heard Esme talk about nail polish, "Do you have any deep blues?" She had a date that evening and with a midnight blue dress something flashy, but dark would be perfect. |
She smiled at the three with them arguing about how they could pay for it. A wedding and such! How fun! She could do some discounts and fun stuff for the wedding party she was sure, ohhh possibly coming back on their own as well! She loved the idea of having them return, and wanted to do everything she could to make sure their experience there was fantastic and made them want to come back! Those mirrors were probably the best choice she'd ever made. Everyone loved how they showed them precisely what they wanted to look like, and it helped her a lot being able to do precisely what they wanted as well. She smiled and nodded "Well we can go ahead and get started whenever you all are ready." she said brightly. She beamed though at the question about designs, "We absolutely do! We have creature nails if you want them in a particular shape and we also have nail art so if you want gems and diamonds in them or a specific design on them as well." She looked towards Cynthia and nodded "Any colour you wish to have your nails, you just tell me and it'll be any shade you wish." she said and also directed her to the blues "We can always darken or lighten any of these shades as well." |
Esme simply gave Cynthia a smile at the mention of her paying. It really was no big deal and she was happy to do it. Turning back to Muirgen, she watched the mirror as the shopkeeper told them how they worked. "Oh how fun." She should try one herself to try out a few different hairstyles and see which one might be best suited for her wedding day. Grey eyes traveled from her bridesmaid and to the mirror again as she told her how she thought of doing her hair then the mirror showing it. "Oh that looks great!" She grinned then shook her head. "I think you all should do your hair however you want." She trusted their judgment that they'd look spectacular, besides she had already picked out the color and style of their dresses. She didn't need to dictate their hairstyles too. Her eyes followed Cynthia as she tried out her own hairstyle in the mirror, and she looked at her future sister-in-law's reflection as she mentioned how she'd like to wear her hair in the wedding. "That's really pretty," she nodded. "Looks good." She should probably try out her own potential hairstyles too, though she had already thought about it. Esme had been thinking about a partial upsweep with some soft curls, though there were a few other ideas bouncing around in her head. Figuring this was the perfect time to experiment and see what she'd look like, she directed the mirror to show her a few different styles. Hmm, hard to decide, but she was pretty sure she still liked the partial upsweep best. The 27 year old glanced up from the mirror as the shopkeeper confirmed that she was ready for them. "Oh, no creatures for me, thanks," she started as she got up from her place in front of one of the mirrors. "But maybe a design with one of the gems." She thought for a moment. "Maybe a soft green and white with diamonds." |
Macadrian had just dropped off her application at the Ministry and she felt so exhilarated that she wanted to do something for herself. But not just any something... a useful something... something that could help land her a position in a good department with hard-working friendly people. She thought about buying new robes, but that didn't feel satisfying enough. She frequently bought herself new clothes already. That's when she spotted Primpernelle's Salon and knew exactly what she needed. Something to help her look her best - because if she looked good, she'd feel good about herself and that confidence would be apparent during her interview... If she got an interview, of course. She stepped into the salon, peering around inquisitively for an employee. "Excuse me, do I need to have an appointment for service or do you accept walk-ins?" |
Yay!! Quote:
She beamed at the woman who stepped into the salon area "Oh I enjoy having walk-ins, not everything needs to be scheduled." she assured her "How may I help you?" |

"The full spa day package? Please." Why choose when you can have it all! Mac didn't think Fabian would mind if she indulged a little bit. Besides, he wouldn't be home til well after she would likely finish up here anyway. And after all the stress she had been under trying to figure her next career move, she had earned every snip, shampoo bubble, and nail brush stroke she was about to receive. |

She was rolling the ideas around and around in her head right then, as to what they would be doing and what would work well. Not to mention a fabulous lunch! |

Hattie! :O Knowing more than anything that Hattie needed some pampering right now especially, Skylar booked a trip for a half day at the spa for them. Because there was nothing like manicures and pedicures to cheer a girl up, even if Skylar might have been delighted by it, she knew her friend was broken and feeling down. Not to mention after their third year, with the monster and portal dangers, well relaxing was DEFINITELY in order. "Do you think I should maybe do something with my hair while we're hair?" Sky turned to her blond friend, twirling a strand as she did so. "Maybe I should just shave it all off," she mused, though she knew she wouldn't have the guts to ever do such a thing. She glanced at the wall for the time, as she realized they were just a tad early. No worries, though, as it was better late than early. Then she had time to chat more with Hattie and decide if she wanted any hair treatments while she was here. New look for fourth year! |
Quote:
"Do not cut your hair" The blonde murmured, shaking her head as she poked her friends cheek. "I like your hair" And it made her look pretty. She really liked it. Though she kind of wanted to change her hair too. "I'm thinking of dyeing my hair a pastel colour again though...." She murmured, tilting her head as she looked at her friend. "What do you think?" |
Quote:
"I wouldn't ... Except maybe some bangs, though I'm thinking also a perm would look good." Unless it just turned frizzy and all wrong. "No pastel. You'll look like an easter egg." She glanced at the clock again, wondering if they ought to find the shopkeeper who their appointment was meant to be with. Maybe give another few minutes. |
Quote:
"I like looking like an easter egg" She mused with a laugh. "And it'll only be for Summer anyway. So a few weeks" And it wouldn't be that bad. And she didn't care what Sky said really. As long as she was happy with how she looked then it as good. "What time was the appointment again?" She asked, turning to look at her friend. "Are we still really early?" |
It's all magic ... I read the top post again lol Quote:

Chloe! Juni had definitely been ready for this girls day with Chloe. It was something that she had felt like they both needed. After everything during term that went on, and this summer so far hadn’t been what it was cut out to be. She was having to resit her OWLs. That was the last thing she had expected to do this summer. Slate was in Brazil and that made her sad. She missed him a lot and had moped around the house for the first few days. At least she had gotten to plan out a day for just her and her friend. So a half spa day with manicures and pedicures was happening. She was very proud of herself for setting the whole thing up for them. She headed over to the salon area to meet Chloe. She glanced over the colors of nail polishes while she waited. |
Quote:
A SPA DAY. She crashed full speed into her friend, throwing her arms around her and squeeeeezing Juni in a big bear hug. "Okay, I'm super duper excited and I hope you didn't want to breathe, because breathing is for other people, and what should we do? Full package? I want mermaid tail hair! And nails! And... WHAT SHOULD WE DO?" |
