Oh. Rose sighed, running a hand through her hair. How on earth could she tell him that she felt GUILTY? "I.. Mason. I'd fallen for you when I was engaged to him. Even if he put me through a lot of emotional stress, you were one of the main reasons why I.. broke up with him. I guess that makes me feel.. a little bad, that's all." She moved away, suddenly feeling emotional and..a little frustrated. Mason was not going to understand and she was already feeling stressed out because of this conversation.

Now, she was upset and she didn't want to forget about it. She was feeling slightly queasy too. Like, she was going to throw up any second. She knew that everything was her fault but she was still feeling... upset, even if Mason was the one who had the right to be upset. "You know what? Let's just go home."

Tanner made her way into an empty dressing room, setting everything onto the floor. Rolling her eyes, she began to try things on, finding that all of the skirts fit (she only need to try on one) and that the shirt fit nicely with the skirt. Was that to say that the ensemble actually looked good on he? No, not really. However, it was probably because she needed to get used to this kind of clothing and style of dress.

As she inspected the clothes in the mirror, she tried out different hairstyles with her blond hair, tying it up into two little braided bunlets on her head and smiling for the first time she came here with the results. It looked adorable, albeit dorky, and not half bad with these clothes. Plus it was better than having her hair get in the way of things. Keeping her hair in the cute little bunlets for laziness sake (plus the style wasn't half bad) she finished in the dressing room and stepped out into the main floor again.

Kommoto maneuvered his way toward the curtained rooms, and dropped his clothes. He leaned up against the wall. This was mayhem. Why couldn't he just get his wand and get out of here? His mom knew he hated clothes shopping. Sighing, he began to change. Much of the uniform was an ugly gray, but they were covered by the black clothes. The only color came from his tie, a brilliant emerald green. A Slytherin. Kommoto still couldn't believe that this was his house. He fixed the tie around his neck, and stepped out to be fawned over by his mother. While she fixed parts of his dress, he reflected on what he knew about the slytherins. They were ambitious, but where did one draw the line between ambition for grades, or smarts, or ambition to stand out, and bravery? He shook his head, and changed out of his uniform. His mother had liked whatever it was she was looking for. He picked up his new uniform, now a pile in his arms, and carried it to the counter.

Cutty took his robes, piled high upon his shoulder so that they resembled a second & malformed head in silhouette. He found an empty change room and slipped the Hogwarts standard black over his current clothes.

H'mm. A bit too short in the sleevage area. Cutty removed it then moved on to the one two sizes up, which seemed to fit in the sleeve, but was much too baggy elsewhere. He moved a size down, but same issue. He was going to need them to be tailored. Was it better to have too much or too little?

Cutty sorted out the robes he planned to take from the ones that were rejects and took them over to be paid for and altered.

"Thank you kindly." Ainsley followed the directions to the changing rooms and slipped inside. She was sure that they would fit just right, but she wanted to be absolutely sure. She couldn't be looking a mess at her job. She quickly tried them on and decided to get a second opinion. She peeked out just to make sure that they lady had indeed followed her. Smiling upon seeing her Ainsley stepped completely out of the dressing room.

"It's a perfect fit. What do you think?" she asked while twirling around once for her to take it all in.

Angelina looked at her--LOOKED at her. She knew she should usually keep her true opinion to herself in this sector, but how could she just lie to a customer when the outfit looked horribly on them? This one, though, this was...

"Fantastic!" She clapped her hands once as a wide smile appeared on her face yet again. "You will look great at your office." And the best part? She was 100% HONEST with the compliment.

She waited with her breath held to hear the verdict. What if she had been wrong with thinking that it looked good. No, that couldn't be true, she saw herself in the mirror and it was like this was made for her.

Ainsley beamed when the kind lady said it was fantastic. "Thank you so much. I love it." It was a uniform and it could use some more color, but all things considered it was nice and it looked good on her and after all that was what mattered the most. "I'll take it." Well, really she could use more than one. "Actually I'll take three of them." She would need more than one. Her uniform had to perfect at all times, and you never knew what could happen to one of them. It was always better to be prepared.

Angelina nodded at the lady with a bright smile. She hoped every customer would be as positive as Ms. Ainsley here. Then she would encounter no problems for sure.

"Do you want any changes?" she asked before getting two more of the same size, though she figured these robes were standard and little changes could be done.

Caelen sighed as she put everything on the floor. No way was she holding all of that for much longer. Who knew clothes could be so heavy? Now for the daunting matter of trying them on.

The eleven year old sighed and ruffled her red hair, picking up the first robe and throwing some skirts next to her on a small pile. She really wasn't looking forward to this. It wasn't that she hated shopping -although she wasn't a fan-. There was just a bunch of things on the list. For a split second she wished she'd brought her host so she could do that thing were she would try things on and walk out, making him judge as she posed. It was stupid to think of but it was something she'd always wanted to do. It would be like one of those stupid, ancient comedies she pretended to hate.

Wait, no! She had to focus. This was not going to get done by pretending a sassy friend was there to judge her outfits. She would have to be the sassy friend herself. There was only one way to do this and not be bored out of her mind.

Five minutes later she was modeling the skirts and the robes, deciding if they looked good with the scarf. She voted on no, but that was mostly because she just didn't look good in school uniforms. It was a fact of life. Men didn't look good with hairy backs and she just did not look adorable in school uniforms. You could confirm that with her first school. It wasn't pretty.

Halfway through the fun she started to get bored. Which meant that things in the dressing room started getting a little weird. She pulled the scarf over her top lip and acted like a posh old man and then threw it behind her and acted like a distinguished woman. She felt so faaaannnncyy like this.

WAIT, FOCUS. She stopped herself after a few minutes and continued, still enjoying herself by modeling the clothing.

Fifteen minutes and a bunch of clothes piles later, Caelen was a bundle of stifled giggles as she got her turquoise sweater and white jeans on, admiring herself in the mirror. She wasn't conceited or anything, but everyone had to give themselves props once in a while and she liked to think that now was as good a time as ever. And yes, everything looked good except for her hair, which never looked good anyway so there was no point.

Sorting through the piles, she soon had everything she needed, and careful to watch out for rogue coat racks, she walked out, her Converse thick on the ground.

"Mom, do I really need to try all of these robes on?" Elisabetta complained, walking out into the store area wearing one of the new school robes. "It's a school uniform, not a fancy dress!"

Her mother, Simone Domenici, shot her a warning glance before ordering her to turn all the way around so she could inspect the robes. Not satisfied, she pulled a couple of other robes off of the rack and gave them to her daughter to be tried on. Twenty minutes later, mother and daughter walked out of Madame Malkins with no less than five sets of robes, all of which they handed to their house elf to carry.

"Hmmm... as perfect as they seem I think I could do with a little shortening of the sleeves." She couldn't constantly be pushing them up all of the time. She glanced over the robes once more inspecting everything.

"Perhaps we can trim a little off the length as well." Ainsley normally wore heels, but she had no intention as always wearing six inch ones and she didn't want to be walking on the ends. "I think that will do."

Kolbi had already picked out her robes; well, what was required of her to pick out. She didn't see reason in uniforms, as she had never had to deal with uniforms. She was home schooled, where she could wear her pajamas to lessons, if she wanted. It wasn't like her mother was going to make her change into something just to learn how to read and write.

She went into one of the changing rooms, trying on one of the robes. They looked okay on her, but they were a bit itchy. The only article of clothing she truly liked was her scarf and tie; she was proud to get into Ravenclaw, the house her parents had met in. She put all of the clothes back into a neat pile and carried them out to the register. Maybe the nice blue could change her mind about the uniforms?

Angelina looked at the parts and changes Ainsley mentioned, and nodded in the end. Yes. She believed those changes would make it a nice robe. She reached forward and folded the sleeves a little. She squatted down,, folded the robe's end a little upwards, got her wand out and tapped it once to stick it temporarily.

"Like this?"

Ainsley watched as the woman did her work. The amount that she had folded seemed like it would do the job. With a quick tap of the wand, her robes looked absolutely flawless. She admired the work.

She was back to beaming at the helpful lady. "That's just splendid dear." The robes fit beautifully, and she couldn't wait to wear them at work for the first time. "I believe I am ready to check out."

Angelina smiled contently, applied the same process of shortening the sleeves and height to the other two robes she'd wanted, and moved them to the counter while saying "I'm glaf you like them," to Ainsley.

Hawthorne stepped tot he area of the store to which she was directed. "Yes, daddy has the scarf and ties in one of the bags along with the robes that need altering." she said, grabbing the bag in question from her fathers hands.

Angelina sat down on one of the tools for the waiting customers and waited for the girl to get the contents out to her. She carefully placed them on her lap. There were one scarf and two ties. She first examined the scarf carefully, brought out her wand and muttered a few words as she twirled the wand around the scarf slowly. Once finished, she examined it again and gave it back to the girl.

"It's still in Slytherin colours but it will change once your house is determined," she said with a small smile, then went on to apply the same charm to the ties and gave them back to the girl.

She took the winter coat before the robes, but instead of twirling her wand, she just drew small circles while muttering the charm again. Once done, she folded them neatly and handed back to the girl again.

"I believe you need three school robes, though," she said more to the father than the girl, since it was the man who was going to pay.

Hawthorne looked at her father. He nodded to the woman. "Yes, I know. We will buy one along with the rest of what she needs for her uniforms." He said with a smile.

Hawthorne looked back to the lady on the stool, she swung the scarf around her own neck and placed the ties over her shoulders with a smile. Would they stay the colours of Slytherin? Or would they change themselves after her sorting?

Angelina smiled at the man politely. "Okay, let me get you one then," she said and got up. She paused to look at the girl's size and headed off to the school robes display.

...

She was back with a school robe a few minutes later. "This shoud fit you, but I think you should try it on anyway and tell me if you want to make any changes." She held it out for her to try it on. "Also, if the charm doesn't work at school, you can send them to here with a letter saying which house you are sorted into, we'll fix it."

Hawthorne grabbed the robe she was handed and tried it on. It was a little bit on the short side, but was perfect otherwise. She was a bit tall, after all being 5'3" when you're ten, almost 11, is a bit much.

"I think it needs to be a wee bit longer." she smiled at the kind lady. "I'm a bit tall... That's an issue I run into a lot."

Angelina took a step back to get a better look, and nodded in agreement. It fit well on the belly, but it looked a bit short.

"I think the opposite," she said as she squatted down and drew her wand. "I think it's better to be tall, because you can look down on people and be as intimidating as you want." She grinned. She tapped the end of the robe, muttered something and it got a few inches longer.

"Better?"

Fern was hogging the three-way-mirror in the changing room's sitting area, but whatever. The other customers could just wait. She was having a FASHION CRISIS!

Letting out a little wail, the Hufflepuff turned to look in the end mirror, then she looked in the other end mirror, then she looked in the center mirror. Then back to the first end mirror. She was still dressed in her street clothes, a ruffly tank and pair of jean shorts with a peace-sign patch, but in her hands she held two robes. One was bright red, the other royal purple. Both were sparkly.

Holding one in front of her torso, then the other, Fern shook her wild hair with another wail and ran in place. She was wearing her sandals with the woven 1 1/2 inch wedge heals, and they made a nice slap-slap sound with each step that normally made her happy. Not today, however. And if she made the wrong decision, it would be NOT EVER!

...the sound? Angelina had made sure that everything was alright that morning. The customers didn't realise anything off apparently too, but there was a funny sound coming from the changing rooms. She frowned to herself, ignored a few customers' I-need-help looks and walked in there with her wand in her hands.

...well?

There was just a girl trying on robes here--was that bewilderment?--and she couldn't have been--

"Is it your sandals that's making a noise?" She wasn't accusing as she'd already holstered her wand back. She was just asking nicely, because the girl was cute.

Hawthorne giggled "But it's hard to look intimidating when your pants show off your ankles." she said, smiling up at the lady. At least MOST adults are taller than me. A lady that is one of daddy's clients is my same height! And she's in her forties!" Hawthorne said.

She looked down when the lady did the spell. "Much better." she stuck her foot out. "So... I also need all the other clothes for school beyond this robe and the ones you fixed for me." She dug the list out from her knit sweater pocket and nodded. "I think I want one sweater vest and one cardigan. And two pairs white knee socks and one pair black wool stockings for the winter." she said with a nod. "I also need three blouses, and two grey skirts." she read on.

She looked up from the list to the kind lady helping her. "Is there only one standard length for skirts?"
