To the left of the counter, at the back of Madame Malkin's, is a curtained-off doorway leading to a large room. Or, it would be a large room if it hadn't been mostly partitioned off into a multitude of smaller rooms, separated by walls and bearing their own small curtained doorways. Either way, there has to be an enlarging charm placed on the room, as the outside appearance of the shop wouldn't indicate the existence of this space. These are the changing rooms, for customers to try on their robe selections before purchasing, and each one contains a chair and a full-length mirror for people who would rather maintain their privacy.
In the area that is free of changing rooms, but still behind the curtain leading back to the main room, several comfortable-looking upholstered chairs sit, along with a three-way mirror against the far wall of the area for people to examine their robes in. If you are waiting for someone to try things on, feel free to take a seat and relax, converse with others, whatever you'd like (within reason, of course.)

Why do you think I deny that?" Ava asked. "I missed dancing around with our pajamas all night, and all the gossips with cookies and milk." Actually there are like thousands antics that they did together, but pajamas dancing and gossips were their routine.
Fashion show time? Hehehe... "Okay, which one should I try first?" There are the black one, blue, dark red and cream colored. Her personal favorites are the dark red (because it represents her Gryffindor-ness) and the blue one (her favorite color.)
Booger was adorable. Missing her and all.
Noelle grinned. "The cookies and milk were amazing. But the dancing.... the dancing is what we live for." Because... they had to dance it out. Anything. Everything. Finding out Phillip and Ava were together? They danced it out. NOelle and Noah got together? Danced it out. Found out they were going to MMA camp together? Danced it out.
There was a lot of dancing.
"Hmmmm.... dresses." Noelle said, observing. She wasnt much of a dress person. But a girl can appreciate a dress. Especially this gorgeous red one. "[b]You have to try the red one on. HAVE to![b]" Because.. Red. And Gryffindor. And cuuuute.

Hehehehe... Yeah, they did so many dancing to celebrate things. Maybe Ava should call her dorm mate a dance junkie or something like that, and she didn't mind about it. Her dorm mate was happy and it makes her happy too. Plus, their other dorm mate seemed okay with that.
The lioness knew that Noelle would pick the red one. "Okay, help me with it please?" Ava put the dress on to see if this fit on her. She didn't really have a problem with her body; being petite and has reached 5'1" on height. "How do I look?"

Playing with her brown hair Lea sat in one of the chairs outside the changing rooms waiting for her brother to come out and show her the first suit in lion red that she had picked out for him. Sounds were emanating from behind the curtain which caused her to pause, look up and call out wonderingly. "What's happening Ree? Do you need a hand with the tie?" This was going to be so much fun since Reed was going to hate every minute of it. Lea on the other hand loved shopping for clothes and accessories.
This was so ridiculous. Every single moment of them being here, in London to especially the part of having to dress up for some stupid dinner. Reed didn't see the point of any of it. Sure he was only twelve, but their mother had sent them across the pond for ten months out of the year, so he didn't see why they couldn't just stay in the Summer months with friends they'd made in their first year.
"Ties make me look old. Teenagers don't wear ties, Lea." Reed rolled his eyes at his sister. "Besides, I don't even know why mum wants us at her stupid dinner anyway. She sent us miles away for the other ten months out of the year." His sister was just so happy-go-lucky, sometimes. It was as if she zapped all the positive vibes from him at birth, leaving him to be the cynical twin.

She didn't see him, but Lea betted that Reed was practically fuming behind the curtain. He had always despised having to dress up and look appropriate at relative or all dinners their mum threw for that matter. She on the other hand took it in stride. It always meant good food and candy. Lea knew Reed rather wanted to stay in the States but she was happy to be home and rekindle friendships and just be around their mum.
As Reed stepped out in his suit with the tie Lea held back a laugh as she suggested. "Do you want a bowtie instead then?" It'd be simpler to fasten anyway. Shrugging she said "I guess we'll find out why mum wants us there tonight. Before the guests come. It sounded like it was just relatives." But what did she know. She only know so much because she had asked like 20 questions. "Don't be so grumpy Ree-Ree. We're getting the dessert that you love."
It was, again, that time of the year when Isabel had to buy school stuff. She'd grown taller through out summer, so much taller that her father had argued with her the need of buying new robes, cloaks and the complete set of the school uniform. Isabel had always loved going to Diagon Alley in search of new books, new supplies for school and other items she might need, but she hated the idea of going to Madam Malkin's to find herself in need of fitting into clothes. She hated the need of going and finding someone she might or might now know; she was timid and silent, up until now, when she decided she would change and just let her real self come alive.
Isabel and her father entered the shop, but glancing at every shelf displayed, Isabel hoped she could pind the pet supplies section; for she'd dreamed of buying Nahla, her miniature, brown, dachshund dog, a new collar and even maybe a matching scarf.
"Try this one out, Bell," her father said, holding up in his hand a red silk dress. Isabel gulped and found herlself nervous. She guessed it had come the time to wear one of those. She was used to casual clothes, jeans, shirts, nothing fancy, but not a dress, no.
Isabel entered, to the left of the counter, a large room that contained smaller rooms so students and others could change. Isabel entered one of the changing rooms, making sure her father was still sitting at a chair nearby the three-way mirror at the far wall. He sat patiently.
"Just...stay there," Isabel said to her father, "...and don't move."
She was used to him finding something that attracted his gaze and leaving his usual seat. Isabel entered the changing room and closed the curtain behind her. Carefully she undressed and changed into the red silk dress, feeling a little uncomfortable.
"What do you think?" Isabel said, as she moved the curtain, revealing her body in the red dress. Her father was nowhere to be seen, but there was someone outside. Her pale skin turned red, as ashe blushed.

Tallyn really didn't need new robes for school. Nor did she really need the uniform that was always worn or the shoes. She hadn't grown all that much taller over the past months, maybe only an inch or so. However here she was...again just as every year before that in the insistence that was her father. Only this time she was alone. No father and no twin brother accompanying her.
With several different robes and other clothing items folded over her arm Tal headed straight for the back of the shop. Even though she had some time to kill and coins to spend all she wanted was to get what she needed and get out. All thoughts left her head though when a girl in a red dress stepped out one of the changing rooms talking to someone who didn't appear to be there. Glancing around just to make sure, nope no one was around. "Uh...I'm pretty sure you're not talk to me but if you'd like another teen girls opinion I'd say both the color and style suit you nicely," she offered as by way of a simple greeting. With a small friendly laugh she went on to introduce herself, "I'm Tallyn by the way."

Glancing up at the girl, Isabel giggled: "I'm sorry, my father usually sticks around to wait and see, but..." Isabel took a look around and stared back at the girl, "He's off I guess."
Isabel turned around and smiles at the compliment the girl that had previously introduced herself had given her. "I don't know, I feel so...girly," Isabel laughed at this, she was a girl, but she was still not used to these kind of clothing. "Nice to meet you Tallyn, I'm Isabel," she replied, followed by, "Have I seen you around already?" Isabel raised an eye brow and tried to think where might she had seen the girl before.
Looking down at Tally's clothes neatly folded in her arms, Bell felt curious, "What do you have in there?" She smiled friendly at Tallyn.

Almost at the moment Kay and Laurel entered Madam Malkin's, Kay had noticed an adorable light pink dress robe. She had carefully removed it from the rack and showed it to Laurel. "I love this colour. I'm going to try it on.'' She moved into the Changing rooms and hoping her friend was nearby because she wanted to carry on their conversation, she asked, "Have you predicted anything recently, Laurel?''
Laurel's Inner eye never ceased to amaze her. Many, if not all, of her predictions thus far had come to pass. While she awaited Laurel's reply, she changed into the robes. They fit her quite well and it was rather comfortable. She exited from behind the curtain. "How do I look?"
Lorelei frowned as she bumped into yet another student while making her way to the changing room at Madame Malkin's. I might be small, but I'm not invisible...ugh. she thought, just as someone reached an empty room before she did. She rolled her eyes and waited for another moment before a room became available and she hurried inside to try on the robes she carried in her hands.
Five minutes later, she came out. Her robes were slightly large for her age, but she liked her clothes like that. It would help whenever she had a growth spurt; she wouldn't have to shop as often. After paying for her robes, she and her parents made her way back onto the street, headed to their next destination.

With her arm-locked in Kay's they entered Madam Malkin's together before Laurel had even decided what clothes she wanted to be browsing. Kay disentangled herself at the sight of a pretty dress robe in light pink colour which she decided that she wanted to try on. "I predict that the dress will look lovely on you." Laurel called after her friend as Kay entered one of the changing rooms. Unless it made her look too bleached which was always a risk with light colours.
Spotting a dark green blouse with a snake on the hem that looked promising next to the changing rooms Laurel walked over to lift it out of the rack to inspect it closer when she heard Kay's question from inside the changing room. Furrowing her brows slightly Laurel responded quietly. "I've predicted a lot of things recently. You have to be more specific..Do you want to know if I've seen anything new in your future?" That concerned Jordan or did Kay mean in general?
When Kay came out of the changing room Laurel was still examining the green blouse. Looking away from it she gave her friend a look from head toe and beamed "You look beautiful! I feared the colour would make you too bleached but it doesn't! You should wear it to the next school feast."

Kay chuckled. "You're bound to say I will look good in it because you're my friend.'' Laurel was one of Kay's good friend's in fact. She was lucky to have a handful of close friends- Ansley, Rose, Cami, Laurel. She would add Jordan to that list but she probably spoilt that friendship with her confession. Thinking about him hurt her heart so she concentrated on Laurel's voice. "Nothing about my future, thanks. Tell me something you predicted for yourself.'' If something was predicted for Kay, she knew Laurel would say something about Jordan.
She beamed and turned a full three hundred and sixty degrees for Laurel to get a full view of the dress. ''I think I will. It's perfect.'' And she didn't look bleached or anything. She trusted Laurel's judgement. "Have you chosen anything? You might need something green, don't you think?'' Kay winked.

Beaming Laurel giggled in agreement. "Well's that's what good friends are for right? To tell you that you look good regardless of what they really think to give you support." But close friends also told their friends the honest truth too if it was required. "That truly is a pretty piece of dress though. I hope i can find a dress as pretty as you in emerald green to match my new status." Laurel was still not used to her new title. It was a good thing she sat new to Roderick at the feasts. She could probably get HoH advice from him.
Kay was troubled. It was evident by the request that Laurel didn't share what was in store in her future. She obliged of course to let her friend think about something else and to not cause indirect hurt. "My trusted crystal ball pall Albie has predicted that managing the snakes might be a handful and the Bloody Baron too. That ghost has always made me uncomfortable with his clanking chains and groans. On a more personal level I guess I'm still on the single market since Viktor has resigned from his position and haven't showed that he wants to date me..." Which in all honesty hurt since she thought they had something.
Holding up the blouse Laurel said "So far I've only found a nice blouse that I'm going try on in a bit."

As it was the start of summer, that meant clothes shopping. Especially seeing as she would be heading to France soon. Rosalyn was very excited about that, but she wanted to buy some new dress robes first. That, and try to bump into some of her friends. Not like she hadn't already made girls plans for shopping and hiking, and other exciting things could come up as well.
Even though purple was her favourite colour, her eyes had been immediately drawn to dress robes in royal blue. Maybe she would buy them, but first they needed to be tried on. Rosalyn never bought clothes without seeing how they looked on her first; how would she know if they were worth the purchase otherwise? Everything had to lie on her frame perfectly or she would feel poorly dressed.
Heading towards the changing rooms, she heard two familiar voices and smiled. "Laurel! Kay! Fancy meeting you here." A bit of humour since they all enjoyed shopping. How wonderful this day was turning out to be.

Kay laughed softly. "You're such a good friend. Just make sure to tell me when I look horrible in something though.'' This is one of the reasons she loved Laurel. Laurel was so honest. "You're going to be one of the best Head of Houses ever. All the students will love you.'' Kay had confident in her friend. "I'm always here if you need advice.''
She listened to Laurel's predictions then nodded. "Challenges lie everywhere we go but you'll be sure to get through them. I can understand about the Baron. The silver bloodstains creep me out and those chains do not help.'' Kay did tend to stay away from the ghost though. "Yes, I'm disappointed he's leaving. I do think he'll say yes sometime. I mean, he does know that you're interested in him. He'll come around soon.''
"Go on! I'd like to see how you look in it.'' In the meanwhile, she'd admire this dress in the mirror. It was so pretty. Upon hearing the voice of Rose, Kay couldn't help but feel happier. "Hello, Rose. Are you stalking us?''

Turning her head to Kay she crossed her hand over heart and said with lovingness in her giggly response. "I solemnly promise to tell you straight if you look horrible in something and I expect the same from you." If there was one thing she was then it was honest. A blush formed on Laurel's cheeks and intensified the more Kay gushed on about how she was going to be the best Head of House ever and that the snakes would all love her. Coughing she smiled "Thanks for the big vote of confidence in my abilities Kay. It won't make less nervous though to axle Justin's mantel."
Nodding Laurel walked a few meters over to the next clothing rack to browse the dress robes there. "Yes, challenges are everywhere which is why we need to stay constantly vigilant. The Baron is a gentleman so I predict we'll get along but he is creepy." The last year had proved that with the portal and monster business. Pulling out a dark red dress for closer inspection before she put it back again moments later on the rack. It wasn't what she was looking for. Spotting something green that looked promising she headed over, but paused to look back at Kay. "I agree, it is super sad that Viktor is leaving staff. I think though that he'll come around. I can feel that he is interested in me too, but he isn't the type of guy that says things like that outright you know?"
Laurel was about pull a green dress out of the clothing rack when they were joined by Rosalyn. Spinning around, dress forgotten for now she beamed broadly over at Rosalyn. "Hi Rose! Aren't you supposed to be in France by now?"

Leave it to Kay to make a joke like that.
Laughing in amusement, Rosalyn shook her head. "Maybe I was. I need my girl time." Seriously though it was just a happy accident that they had ended up here at the exact same time. Smiling, she entered a changing area and set about trying on the royal blue dress robe. Fingers crossed it would be a perfect fit. If not it was no big deal because there were always lots of options for her to choose from when it came to this place. Honestly she could spend half a day looking at all the beautiful pieces of clothing.
"Not just yet, though we are going to be leaving very soon. Just wanted to buy some new clothes first. Of course we will have to have other shopping trips when I get back." Not to mention the hiking that would be happening with Kay and Cami. Rosalyn was so excited for that!
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
"Of course! You can always count on that, Laurel.'' Kay grinned when she realised Laurel was blushing. "You're welcome. I'm going to miss Justin. I just hope he doesn't give up on owling me pictures of his family.'' She adored Justin's family so much.
"He is at times, isn't he? I mostly stay clear of him. But I know you'll get along with him. He'd be silly not to respect you.'' Kay continued to admire her new selection in the mirror. She really liked how the robe fitted her frame. And it was hugging her too much so this made it the perfect attire for the feast. "Oh, he is? That's wonderful! Are you going to ask him on a date?''
"You were stalking us,'' Kay said seriously but really just joking. "Yes, I thought you guys had already left. I'm glad you're here though. How do you like my dress robes, Rose?"

Shopping for school robes became a must this year. Vi had managed to get by with wearing the same robes for two years in a row. And she was going to get away with another year of using the same robes but dearest brother Professor Simon Holden intervened. He wanted his sister looking her best for her final year at Hogwarts.
Final year.....
Nope. She wasn't going to think about it. Not yet. No tears yet.
So speaking of shopping, she had to, of course, call the best companion for such a trip. Mel. Plus it would be a fun way to spend time together without their significant others.
"Okay, okay, I think this is a better cut" said Vi as she slipped her skirt on. Nope. It didn't seem to be falling off and it did seem to be an appropriate length. Tucking in her plain white shirt into the grey skirt, she stepped out of the changing stall that she had been using to show off the look to Melbourne.
"Well.... Ta da! what do you think? Too short? Too long?"

It wasn’t every day that you were able to walk Diagon Alley…or well the streets of London. Robes, she needed them and meeting Vi was a plus. There was no way of course that she was even going to think about it…that this, this was the last time. The final robes.
Gulp.
Her throat tightened like a vice as she stood there frozen. She needed to breath, to forget. This wasn’t the final robe…this, was just another year at Hogwarts…right? She wasn’t leaving…yet.
”Oh…I’m not sure,” The corner of Mel’s lip curled into a smirk as she stood there. ”I think we need a partial judge…Ace would probably like it?” Melbourne glanced up the Australian Witch and grinned, ”but…I mean, he’d probably like you in a tea cozy” what? Like he’d be crazy not to right?

Vi spun in front of the mirror, enjoying the way the skirt turned with her.... But she could feel a brush of cold air kissing her legs but that was only when she spun. She stopped spinning and then stared at her outfit as she listened to Mel.
Hmmm... Not exactly confidence-inducing words there, Mel. Vi turned to glance at the mirror in front of her. Then Mel suggested that Ace would probably like it and Vi was transported back to that eventful night aboard Merlin's Pride where Ace had commented on her.... her pins.... She hadn't known how to take it back then. Now she was blushing. Speaking of pins, Vi glanced down at her skirt and tugged at it a little, hoping that it wasn't too short.
"A tea cozy?" asked Vi with her nose crinkling as a blush crept her cheeks. Yeah sure... Ace would like her in anything. Heh. Her cheeks were beginning to turn a little pink but then a smirk appeared on her lips. "What sort of tea cozy? One with polka dots or rainbow coloured stripes?" With a final look into the mirror, she nodded. Yes, she liked how she looked. It was nice and form fitting. Not too little or not too much.
"What about you? Are you getting new robes? Or maybe picking something up for dear Captain Kirk?" she winked.
That far off look Vi was giving made Mel curious…that is until she started tugging at her skirt. ”Please, you don’t need to tug at it – the skirts perfectly fine on you…it makes your legs look suuuuuuuuuuuper long and not in the its short way” stop talking Melbourne, she thought trying to stop the words from plummeting from her mouth to their deaths.
Oh.
Few.
It seemed Vi had understood her – the question about the tea cozy just made Mel grin. ”Oh…frilly with stripes and polkadots and maybe a bit of sparkly wool?” she grinned. …but a rainbow one would be great it’d really make your eyes pop…maybe in the why am I wearing a tea-cozy way but still…you’d pull it off” Mel grinned at her and picked up a skirt holding it against her body as Vi asked her questions.
Robes yeah she…wait…for Kirk? Her eyes widened a bit as she caught the wink. ”For…um…we haven’t, whaaaat?” yeah that wasn’t subtle at all. ” I mean…he’s, we’re…yeah” oh merlin what on earth was she doing? She grinned and picked up a nearby dress, ”…I sh-should y’know get something for hogsmeade dates…something more Ma-“ she felt her throat tighten as she began to say the words, ”Madam P-pu…Puddifoots---y?” why yes she was still not entirely a fan of that establishment.
Confetti and tea weren’t really a delicacy in her books. "What do you think of this? Too...funerally maybe?" she asked as she held up a little black dress.

Confetti and tea weren’t really a delicacy in her books. "What do you think of this? Too...funerally maybe?" she asked as she held up a little black dress.
"Now that's a tall order.... " She smiled softly at her friend's compliment. "Thanks Mel." Vi appreciated the vote of confidence plus the description of said tea cozy. Glittery wool, polkadots, and stripes.... Merlin. That sounded intense but her friend meant well. She laughed, shaking her head, as she tried to imagine when she would wear such a thing. "Do it for the sake of fashion?" she offered as she placed two hands on her hips. Ah now time to slip on the outer robe. Let's see.... Did it rest on the floor or was it a little bit above? Hmm....
Slipping her arms through the sleeves, she then pulled the fabric gently so it could sit nicely. Yep sleeves weren't too short nor long. Perfect. As she continued futzing with her clothes, she listened to Mel squeak out a rather awkward response. She glanced up with a coy smile, wondering what Mel was denying so adamantly. And then she analyzed her friend's reaction. OHHHHH. "Oh Meeeeel. TMI." Vi waved off the awkwardness with her hand and a laugh until Mel mentioned Madame Pudifoots. The tea shop where the SERIOUS and IN LOVE COUPLES WENT? Erm.... She was certain that Ace and her would never go there even if they both loved each other. They weren't like other couples in that sense. AND HOLD UP A SEC. LOVE. That was the scary word with four letters that she dared not say. Of course, she loved him but did he.... Did he feel the same way? Maybe it was too soon to say such a thing... Yeah probably. She brushed that thought away.
But still the mention of the lovey-dovey tea shop in Hogsmeade caused Vi's eyebrows to raise. "Madame Pudifoots? That's a serious place to go...." repeated Vi sort of taken aback by such a suggestion. She could never imagine ever stepping foot in there. Well only if Ace insisted but she doubted that he would be a fan of such an establishment. It was.... It surely seemed like an experience. One that she didn't need. "Ah yes, you should get a pinky sparkly suit for Kirk and then maybe a tea cozy to match for yourself," she joked. Madame Pudifoots def. did not seem like a shop that Mel would enjoy.
Now the dress that Mel held up was lovely but the question that followed made Olivia pause. Hmm... Too funereally? "For the Hogsmeade Tea Shop yes... Though it'd be fun to show up to the lovey dovey shop dressed in all black. I wonder what the owner would think of it," she chuckled with a maniacal smile. Heh. Then she paused as she glanced at the dress more. "What's the occasion?" she asked.

Mel just grinned when Vi asked if she’d wear it for fashion…”that – ooooooor you know to guide first years to the tower? It’d be easy…just follow the lovely lady in the crazy wool thing” Mel grinned, because obviously it’d be funny and cozy….god and it would be itchy it’d be the fabric equivalent to itching powder.
Oooooooh those robes seemed to fit Olivia perfectly, it was nice really…there wasn’t even a slight tinge of jealousy at the fact that they weren’t oddly bulky or tight in the way that Mel’s own robes always seemed to be at first. Wait…TMI? Did she…
Noooooo. She – nope, she hadn’t said anything. There was no I given….maybe just too much muchness but there was still no I…just a complete lack of I a lack of…oh god she was flustering again. ”I didn’t say…I mean” she paused, for a moment just long enough to hear Vi’s question.
Mel nodded and couldn’t help but chuckle when Vi commented about Pudifoots being serious…”Its…well, other than the Pride thing….Pudifoots was our first date?” she admitted with a little crinkle to her nose, ”that would be hilarious but you’ve got to wonder what the servers would think? I could just be a giant teapot…they could try and serve me to guests” she was joking obviously, who’d mistake HER for a teapot…it’d be one short but rather legged teapot.
Mel shrugged at the question, ”Oh…no reason – more…thinking what if we need them” she grinned and bit her lip for a moment before chuckling ”oh or…end of term when we you know…when the term ends?” not mentioning the forbidden word.

Daehyun had insisted he go alone to purchase his basic school supplies, and besides, how hard could it be to pick some robes?
... hard, he soon found.
He'd never realized how much he depended on his mother's help and opinions before finding himself in a changing room, struggling with three different sizes of robes. He'd eventually found his shirt size after trying on a couple, but the black robes were a whole different story, as some seemed too short on him, others seemed to swallow him whole. People would think there's a dying cat in the changing rooms, with the displeased sounds he made as he tossed and turned in front of the mirror.
He sighed. Running a hand through his raven hair, no longer caring of the mess he left behind, Daehyun left the confines of the changing room to get a better look in the three-way mirror outside, failing to notice the presence of another person in the other side of the room. He stood before the mirror, dejectedly flapping the too-long sleeves of his robes.

Shera had escaped her mother's grasps by running off while she was still distracted talking to one of her friends.
She'd slipped into the shop without even looking at where she was. But she could work with this, after all, she still needed to buy a few school robes of her own. And maybe a new cloak. And a dress robe.
Just in case.
Oooooooh and they had collars for pets! She eyed those for a moment wondering if she could get away with grabbing one of those. Her mother wouldn't mind... right?
It was a bunch of weird sounds that caught her attention, drawing her into the changing room section, head tilted to the side as her blue eyes tried to analyse the situation. It had to be a person in there, right? But could people even make sounds like that?
The question was answered when a boy had wandered out of the changing room. How had he managed to get himself into that situation? Shera couldn't help but giggle.
"They look about a size or two too big for you," she commented lightly, evaluating the boy in front of her. Her guess was he was a first year too, so she could try to be charming. Especially in case he already disliked her for giggling at him. "But... if it's just the sleeves you could always get them tailored so they fit better."
The blue eyes dropped down to the floor where the fabric was still pooling on the ground and figured that her first point was probably better advice.
"I'm Shera by the way!" she remembered to introduce herself, with a huuuuuuggggeeeeeee grin on her face, holding her hand out to him.
