RECEPTION & WAITING AREA This vibrant and bustling space serves as the gateway to all matters related to magical transportation within the wizarding world. Visitors are greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable receptionist ready to assist with inquiries, appointments, and ticketing.
The area is characterized by its enchanting decor, featuring an array of magical transportation memorabilia, including models of enchanted vehicles and portraits of notable figures in magical transportation history. A large, interactive magical map is prominently displayed, showcasing various magical transport routes and locations.
Comfortable seating is arranged to accommodate visitors awaiting their appointments or enjoying a brief respite. A selection of magazines and pamphlets detailing the latest news and updates on magical transportation are available for reading. A refreshments table offers a variety of snacks and beverages, ensuring visitors can stay refreshed during their wait. There are even toy models of various vehicles for all (yes, even adults) to play with.

While not amongst the Receptionist crew, Kingston was making his way to the front for a little activity trip. He was on an extended break and could do with using one of the other level's exercise rooms. Thoughts of such plan faded though as he spotted Chloe & Lucas standing at the front desk. He was standing to the right side of it as he stopped in his tracks to take in the scene in a milisecond.
Kingston then turned to face and approach them, briefly remembering his quarter-giant appearance could be intimidating so he broke out his usual smile, "Hello, did you need something or someone?" He recognized Chloe from his schooling days and occasional sights here.

Lucas immediately recognised the approaching man though he could not immediately place a name to the face. “Good afternoon. We just wanted to report a situation. The Floo Powder dispensers from the Arrivals and Departures Area in the Atrium are all empty. Every single one of them.” More than reporting, Lucas wanted a solution especially since there might be chaos happening at that Area right now. He may dislike Ronan but the Auror was quite capable of getting tasks done; Lucas hadn’t forgotten that it was Ronan who had helped keep Brody safe from Bain at one point.

Though he also looked familiar, likely from passing in the Ministry halls and perhaps the Atlantis fiasco. But nevertheless, his mind and ears were focused on the current situation. An empty supply of Floo Powders, "Come again?" Kingston asked in apparent disbelief. Oh yes, he did hear loud and clear. Perhaps that was another reason for the incoming calls on Floo Network check-ups as of lately. He had been using other means to enter the Ministry that covered his own ignorance of the situation. Floo Soot took more time getting off his suit than toilet water. Ahem.
"Hmm, I'll have to check on our department's supply then. If there's any left we should be able to increase the supply." That would be a great workaround until they got to the bottom of it. It would be impossible conjuring it out of nowhere. "Have you visited Level Four already? Floo Powder naturally comes from a specific plant that perhaps the Botanists could have some information on them?" It was quite a thought, maybe he could ask Jer if the German Ministry had similar problems.

Lucas was quite certain he didn’t need to repeat what he had just said, and that it was simply surprise that had warranted the exclamation from the other man. Lucas decided to give him a few seconds to let the words properly settle in. “You heard correctly,’’ came the follow up words along with a wry and tired smile.
“Please. The chaos this could cause...” He could only hope that Ronan and Jane had managed to put some sort of order into helping the other employees to exit the Ministry. Why did he dread going down back to the Atrium to find out? But coming back to the conversation at present… “No, we haven’t. We came straight here to see if something could be sorted out. I actually hadn’t thought that something might have been off with the plants.” | |
