I agree with you, Ariana, on the actual need for LESS houses than more.... already we are having existential crises with house identities.... if there was a fifth to add to the mix, i'd imagine the house identity crisis would be even worse.
Although I do like the idea of a fifth house representing this void and for those who are true hatstalls, but then again, wouldn't that contribute more to the house identity crisis?
But yea i definitely think we evolve over time and one house that might fit us as an eleven year old might not fit us 5 or 10 years later. Like for me, i was CERTAIN my topsy turvy house would be Ravenclaw, but I think maybe a dozen years ago if i would have done this quiz, it would have been and yet as I've gotten older, I've definitely developed more Ravenclaw-esque ways.
Which also makes me think, if we do evolve and change from our house ... perhaps sorting into cunning, witty, bravery, loyal, are not the best measures to use ....?? Is there another way that we can judge people? To differentiate them? Is using something similar to myers-briggs worthwhile? Obviously not 16 houses because that would be ridiculous, but something similar
