| | |  Welcome to the Bergstrand's
house of Albert & Linnea Bergstrand.
Albert and Linnea had purchased this lovely modern home in 2040 just a few years after they had married. The house was pricey at the time they bought it but the couple had worked day and night just to save up the money for three years to buy this home. Albert and Linnea knew this was the place where the wanted to raise their family and even one day see their grandchildren running around and having a grand time in the house. Now it's been forty-eight years since the purchased the house, the elderly couple are both in their seventies and their four children have since moved out, their two eldest sons have even gotten married and started a family of their own. Now the eldest grandchild was almost all grown up and out of school, they couldn't believe how much time has flown by since the day they had met each other in Hogwarts many, many years ago but the couple really loves how their life has turned out, they would change anything that they have done for the world.

Rose was positively fuming. Her anger blinded her, her fists were clenched tightly at her sides. Her marriage had broken and Barry had betrayed her. On top of that, Nora was threatening to take Madison and her unborn. Jack too... he wanted to keep her away from their children. "JACK!'' she called pleadingly but he was gone. She couldn't loose any of her kids. She couldn't.
"YOU COWARD!'' she spat at Barry. "Hiding behind your wife when you don't even love her.'' She ignored anyone else and angrily addressed Barry. "How are you any different from me in the way if you want to separate me from my children? These are my kids and not yours! Your stupid threats don't mean a thing to me because I can fight too!'' What did Nora think? That she, Rosemary, was weak and would easily given in? Pfffft. Dream on, sister.
UGH! She didn't even want to be here anymore. She hated each and everyone of them! She just wanted to get away from here and clear her head. Luckily, she knew exactly where she wanted to go. She'd be out of this country in less than an hour. Rose was quite tempted to take Madison with her and that was exactly what she would do. She stormed off, to get her baby, ignoring everyone else around her, even her in-laws. She was ignoring them for a different reason: she was embarrassed about the entire situation and couldn't face them.
Madison in her arms, she went for the door. Not before turning to look at Nora. "Once a cheater, always a cheater. He cheated on you and he will again.'' With that, she wrenched the door open and was gone. |

Linnea looked around her living room and at each of the grown adults that were clearly acting like a bunch of hormonal teenagers at Hogwarts. She really couldn't believe what she was seeing, now what she was hearing was a different story because the elderly woman had, had a gut feeling that something bad was going on here.
"My suspicions were spot on." the woman said as she tapped her bright red lips with her finger. "For some years now I had a feeling that some sort of affair was going on in this family but I didn't have anything to prove my point, not until now." she said swiftly. Linnea focused her blue eyes on Rosemary. "I always had a feeling that you would break Jack's heart but I said nothing to him because he clearly is in love with you." Linnea shook her head. "I knew some day, if not later that you would screw up your marriage with my son but I didn't know that it would be with my eldest son." The woman turn towards Barry. "What in God's name is wrong with you?" she ask him, he didn't have to answer that but she would press for more questions towards him.
The elderly woman just stood there shaking her head. "Is there a reason as to why you were sleeping around with your brothers wife? Do you actually care for this poor excuse of a woman?" Oh, yes, her hatred for Rosemary was shining through. She had a feeling that Jack and Rosemary's marriage was already over, I mean it clearly was, she was pregnant with another man's child. "You and your brother used to be so very close. Why would you do this to him? Why the hell would you do this to your lovely wife?" Okay, so Nora was her favorite daughter-in-law, was that a crime?

This was waaaaaay too much to deal with but he had brought it onto himself and he knew it.
Barry watched the screaming match that happened between his wife and Rosemary. Well, screaming match on Rosemary's end at least; Nora was being cool and collected. She was fighting for his rights to see his children and that was more than he deserved at the moment. Sighing, he watched as Rosemary stormed off. She had every right to be mad at him but hopefully she wouldn't keep his children away from him. "She can't REALLY do that, can she?" Legalese wasn't exactly his strong suit. Also... "There is no way that I will ever do that to you again." Rosemary on the other hand... This wasn't the first time that she had cheated on her husband. Well, ex-husband soon enough...
His mother was bombarding him with questions and Barry didn't even know how to answer them. He had been a complete moron and she would be more than justified if she fired him from the business and banished him from the family. "I wasn't thinking. That's the problem." He had been blinded by his feelings for Rosemary; she had been there during a time when he didn't have his wife - not emotionally at least. "I don't know why I did this, mom. I know I am a terrible person... but I want to fix this as best as I can." With his wife at least. Jack would probably never speak to him again. It was something that he would have to live with.

At this point, Nora could care less about what Rosemary had to say, and watched as she threw a tantrum walking out the door instead of actually listening to Nora. She only said she would fight if she kept the children from Barry, not that she would take them away from her completely. But when you are angry...you hear what you want to hear, and Rosemary had plenty of reason's to be angry.
"Linnea, don't worry about her. She is gone. Let her go and cool off. Hopefully we can reason with her another time." She patted the older woman on the shoulder. This was a right mess but it would be worked out. She was always the peacemaker.
She gave her Barry a small, sad smile. "She could do that if she wanted to try. But after the divorce...there is no saying what Jack will do. I would rather the three of us be adults and work it out together without involving anything legal. I am pretty sure we can do that. But we need to give her time." She put her hand to her husbands cheek.
"Never say never darling. It happened once...it could happen again but you have to be strong and not give into it. I know those are harsh words but it is a reality we are going to have to face. It's going to be hard to work through this...there will be moments that you will want to stray. But those are the moments you need to come to me and talk to me instead of acting on it." Was that too harsh? No, she needed to be honest in this moment.
She took a deep breath and exhaled, "Again, I don't say any of this to be mean or harsh...just realistic. I don't want to think that you would do this to me again...but the possibility is still there. I hope you don't and stay strong. But I have to think of every possibility and keep my heart safe...I hope you understand that...," tears started to well up in her eyes. She didn't want to think this way but she knew she had to in order to stay strong for herself.
One day, she knew she would be able to trust him again.
