house of Albert & Linnea Bergstrand.

Albert and Linnea had purchased this lovely modern home in 2040 just a few years after they had married. The house was pricey at the time they bought it but the couple had worked day and night just to save up the money for three years to buy this home. Albert and Linnea knew this was the place where the wanted to raise their family and even one day see their grandchildren running around and having a grand time in the house. Now it's been forty-eight years since the purchased the house, the elderly couple are both in their seventies and their four children have since moved out, their two eldest sons have even gotten married and started a family of their own. Now the eldest grandchild was almost all grown up and out of school, they couldn't believe how much time has flown by since the day they had met each other in Hogwarts many, many years ago but the couple really loves how their life has turned out, they would change anything that they have done for the world.

Linnea couldn't believe it, fifty-one long years already. It felt like it was just yesterday that her and Albert had gotten married. There were some hard times over the last fifty-one years but she had gotten through it with Albert. The old woman looked around at the large dining room, this house never used to look like this. A lot of hard work and money was put into the house. She remembered what it looked like when they had first moved in it almost fifty years ago, there were only two bedrooms and now there were five and they had made the kitchen and dining room a lot larger to fit their large family.

The ginger looked around the room, there were pictures of her mother, her father, her sisters and her brother on one wall. On the wall next to it there were pictures of her in-laws and her husbands siblings. On the largest wall there were pictures of herself, Albert, their children and their grandchildren and hopefully in about ten or more years if she was still alive there would be pictures of her great-grandchildren on that same wall.

Lin looked over at the large wood dining table. The plates were all set, the silverware and the glasses were all arranged as well but...where was the center piece that she had gotten the other day. Linnea put her hands on her hips and looked around the room. Where could it have gone? It was on the table five minutes ago.

Vera was in her own little world at the moment. She was outside in the backyard stretching. She needed to practice her knew gymnastics routine again, she didn't liked the way it felt the first ten times that she had one it. The fifteen year old was shocked that she was even able to leave Durmstrang for a family get together, she didn't think that it was allowed, she knew it wasn't allowed at Salem, then again Vera wasn't a fan of Salem. America was lovely but she would much rather be here in Sweden. The brunette stood up and practiced her routine again.

Maybe taking a break and just sitting down on the grass would be her best bet.

Viggo was not sure why it was so important that he be home for his grandparents' fifty-first wedding anniversary. Wasn't fifty the big milestone number? But he didn't really care that much about it as it meant he got out of school. And maybe he could somehow talk his way into staying a little longer.

He was currently a little bored though and wondered when they'd get to eat. The thirteen year old was always hungry and preferred that activity to what he was presently doing which was wandering out in the backyard. His eyes fell on his older sister as she performed some sort of gymnastics thing. He'd admit that she was pretty good at that, but it was nothing he was into himself so he remained bored for the moment.

It wasn't every day that your parents celebrated 51 years of marriage.

This was a special occasion, so Barry had made sure to go all out and buy them the best present that he could afford. This was the only way to bring in a huge milestone and he hoped that his parents had many more wonderful years together.

He was patiently patiently waiting for his wife so that they could walk up to the house together. He wouldn't dare go on without her; he knew better than that. Instead he turned his thoughts to other things. It was always nice to come back to his childhood home. It made him feel nostalgic for the old days when he didn't have a care in the world.

He missed that.

Maja was fine with being home. Honestly if her parents wanted to pull her out the rest of her last year she would be fine with that too. Moving to a new place her seventh year, how rude. They could have at least left her at Salem. She couldn't be happier to be home and celebrating with her grandparents. No matter whether her siblings were happy to be there or not.

Walking into the room she looked around finding her little brother, "Hey snot" messing up his hair and laughing. "Where is everyone else?" Wasn't this a party? Yes it was a party for old people, but that didn't mean the younger guest at to sit around and do nothing.

"Food ready yet?" Her eyes moved around the room asking anyone who would listen.

Cole got the invitation from his grandparents that is was their 50 year wedding anniversary. He thought that was a pretty long time. He couldn't even fathom right now being with someone for that long. Granted he was only 11 years old. He waited patitenly with his father. His mother was late yet again, she was probably picking out the perfect dress or adding on last minute makeup. Cole was asking his dad (Barry), "Dad can I go into the house? Mom is taking forever..." Like seriously why do woman have to take so long? Plus where were his siblings? They should be here too...

Nora quickly walked up the drive. She knew they were a little late but family parties like these never started on time or had a specific schedule. Though this was her in-laws 51st wedding anniversary. She would definitely have to apologize. Her younger son's, Ludvig and Viktor, always seemed to end up fighting about something and making them late. Today was no different.

She noticed her oldest son, Cole, and her husband, Barry, waiting for them by the door. She sighed to herself. She really wasn't looking forward to this party. Her marriage wasn't in the greatest shape right now and pretending to be happy was always hard. But she had to do it for the kids and she love her in-laws so very much.

Just as she was walking up she heard her son's comment, frowned, and replied, "Son, beauty takes time. You will understand when you have a girlfriend or wife. We don't just wake up like this." She mussed his hair as she walked passed him and towards her husband.

She gently kissed his cheek before taking his hand, never looking at him. She knew something was going on between him and a specific sister-in-law, but he would never admit to it and she would never ask him. "Ready?" she asked rather distantly.

Ludvig had barely pushed Viktor when they were leaving and he threw a huge hissy fit. Why did he always have to be such a baby! He glared at his little brother as the walked up the steps. "Such a baby." He said to himself. He was now grounded for a week starting after the party.

He could tell his mom was already upset about something and that she and dad had been acting strangely. He was worried about them, which was really affecting his attitude towards everyone. He quietly stood next to his older brother, Cole, and waited with his parents to go inside.

Barry chuckled as his son asked if he could head inside since his mother was taking too long. "Go right ahead," he said before ruffling his son's hair affectionately. He could remember being that age and not caring about anything besides having fun.

Oh, to be 11 again.

And there she was. His wife had finally joined him, Ludvig and Viktor in toe. "Be nice to your brother," he gently scolded his son. This was a special occasion and it was important for everyone to behave. This was a night for his parents - his childrens' grandparents - and they would behave themselves or they would be heading home.

With a small smile, Barry returned his wife's cheek kiss. Things were rather strained between them, and had been for a while. Sometimes he wondered if she suspected... But no. How could she know about it? No one knew about it besides him and Rosemary. "You look lovely," he told Nora as he gently squeezed her hand. She wasn't looking at him, but he wasn't really surprised seeing how things were between them. He still loved his wife despite everything, and there was no way that he could ever tell her...

"Ready," he said before opening the door and stepping inside.

Outside hadn't been any more exciting than hanging around inside waiting for people to show up and Viggo thought for a moment about climbing a tree. He wished he had brought his guitar so at least he would have something to do, but he had been worried about transporting it back and forth. Though now he was sort of worried about one of his dorm mates messing with it while he was gone. Hopefully it would remain untouched under his bed until he got back.

He headed back inside to see if anyone else might have shown up, or if anything was actually happening now. Well, there was his other older sister and he pushed her hand away, rolling his eyes as she messed up his hair. "Maja.. don't be a butt." He casually ran a hand through his hair, fixing it to his liking. Better.

"I don't know," he told her. "Vera's outside, doing her thing... not sure about anyone else." And yeah, he could do with some food. He was very hungry right now. His eyes lifted to the door as it started to open, wondering who was coming next... though he had a pretty good idea of who it probably would be.

The children were outside and out of trouble as far as Rosemary could tell. She flitted around the house, always happy to be in the company of family members though sometimes it strained her because she had to keep such a big secret from them. Only sometimes. Today was not one of those days she was going to let it bother her. She was going to mingle with them all, even Nora. Rosemary could be impartial to the fact that she was having an affair with Nora's husband. She loved her entire family but she wasn't about to let Barry go for any reason.

She entered the dining room at that moment to find her mother-in-law Linnea, with her hands on her hips. "Is something the matter?'' Was she worried about the dining table's setting? "Everything looks wonderful, if that's what's bothering you.''

Giggling, Madison was running around the house.

There was a pretty and colourful thing flying just out of the two year old's grasp and she wanted to catch it. SHE WANTED THE PRETTY THING. She gave a loud screech as it was suddenly gone. Where did it go??? Mama needed to get it for her!!

Where was mama though? She wasn't HERE.

"MAMA!" she shrieked, not knowing that her mother was in the next room.

Linnea sighed as she tried to think of where the center piece has gone. It can't just up and walk away...not without magic of course. She hadn't touched it. When she went to go into the kitchen it was there and she was only gone for a minute or two.

There was screaming. Linnea shook her head. She was glad that those days of little kids and screaming were done and gone for her. She really couldn't deal with it now in her old age.

The old woman looked around the room. Then her eyes caught Rosemary's face as the younger woman was talking to her. "I had a center piece in the middle of the table and it's gone." Linnea shrugged. "It doesn't matter anyway. Almost the whole family is here. We're just waiting on Ingrid and Abel." As usual. Linnea was always waiting for one of her kids.

Oh well, she would have to deal with not having a center piece. "DINNER IN TEN MINUTES!" she yelled out to everyone in the house.

But there was another problem. Albert. Where was Albert. "Excuse me has anyone seen Albert?" Where was he? She knew that he wasn't at work right now.

Vera was bored. she couldn't handle doing the same routine as she had just been doing for the last hour. Besides she was getting tired and now she wanted some food.

The girl stood up and walked over towards the doors and headed into the house. Vera looked around the house before spotting her brother (Viggo) and sister (Maja). She just wanted food. Was that so hard to get around here? "What are you two doing?" She asked them.

There goes his wife off and into the house. It seemed like his and Rosemary were spending less and less time since Madison was born. Jack wondered if it was something that he had done wrong. He already knew that he kids were here. So the man just stood into the doorway like a bump on a log.

As Jack walked into the door after his wife his eyes went to his sister-in-law Nora and his brother, Barry. "Hey! Barry, nice to see you. How's work?" He asked his brother. Then he looked over at Nora. "Hello Nora, it's lovely to see you. You look beautiful as always." He said politely.

Ah, family time. Jack jumped slightly as he heard his mother yelling about dinner.

Albert was a bit tired after closing up the shop…maybe it was Benny and his incessant pestering for more licorice that had made him tired but he was home, finally. Pushing open the door he just smiled as she heard the chorus of family members already there.

“Okay Benny bug, you go see everyone” he winked down at him and continued putting his things away before slipping on his fuzzy house slippers and walking off to find her. Where was Linnea? Oh…hearing his name he just grinned. “I’m here love,” he smiled. “Benny made closing the shop take a bit longer” he informed before walking over to her and giving her a soft kiss on her forehead. He loved her.

Benny was practically bouncing on his feet as he ran into the house. "Dinner's soon?" He asked excitedly even though he had just practically gorged himself on licorice it didnt matter. Food was food and food was well, good. He could probably continue eating for days and not have anyone notice...except mum and Linnea they always seemed to notice.

COLE WAS HERE! He loved Cole. He was like aaawwwwesome well he loved everyone. Especially Vera but Cole was Ludvig and Vik were his favorite cousins...Cole was the oldest so he was instantly cooler...Cole as like a teen! And well..."what have yoooou been doing today?" He asked as he squished closer to his cousin and leaaaaaaned into him. Yes. Tell him all the things.

The words had hardly left Rosemary's mouth when the piercing shriek filled the air. She recognised it at once as her darling Madison's. This was confirmed by the voice calling for 'mama.'' "Mama's right here, darling,'' she called before excusing herself. She strolled to the direction of the voice to find Madison there. "Hi there, Maddy.'' She scooped her baby into her arms then tickled her under her chin with a finger. "Let's go see grand mother. I expect dinner will be ready soon.''

Back in the kitchen, Rosemary scanned the table. "I'll help you look for it later on.'' It was such a shame that it was missing. But if it meant that much to her mother-in-law, she would help her find it. "Those two will be soon along, I expect. Possibly they're being fashionably late.'' Rosemary chuckled at her own little joke. "In the meanwhile, you have Madison to occupy your attention.''

Linnea's announcement of dinner seemed to bring the house to life. Rosemary smiled at Albert. "Hi, Albert.'' She marveled that their love which had not diminished over the years and felt a tiny pang of guilt as she thought of Barry and Jack. She was grateful for the other distractions such as that voice that belonged to Benny. She figured the others would be there soon.

Seeing his brother made Barry feel a small pang of guilt, but there was nothing that could be done for it. He was still seeing Rosemary and had a daughter with her. He could imagine how bad things would be with his brother if the truth came out, and it was something he never wanted to happen because he DID love Jack despite everything. "It's good to see you too! Everything is great since I just retired from Quidditch." He laughed. "How have things been with you?"

And there was his mother, who seemed to be rather frantic to get everything ready for dinner judging by the yelling. "It's good to see you, mom." Barry would have gone over and given her a hug, but he was slightly concerned given her agitated state. Maybe it was better to wait for things to calm down first.

Before he could give the matter much more thought he saw them: Rosemary and his daughter. "Nice to see you, Rosemary. You are looking lovely as always." He gave her a small smile. They were going to get through this awkwardness together and he was fine with it because he loved his family.

There she was. There was her mama.

Madison giggled as she was picked up and tickled under the chin. Mama was going to help her find the pretty thing. Nooooooo she was being led away!!! She gave another screech. BAD MAMA!!

Buuuuut there was granny! "Ganny!" The two year old said loudly and full of excitement. Three were other people around, but Madison was focused on her mama and granny.

Nora pretended she didn't hear the compliment that her husband paid her as they walked into the house. Though, it did give her butterflies to hear him say it, she wouldn't allow her self to think that he truly cared for her.

It was a good thing Barry's brother was right there after he said it, she could shrug it off as replying to Jack instead. She gave him a gracious smile, "Hello, Jack. Thank you! It is wonderful to see you as well." She continued to stand at Barry's side while he talked to his brother. That was her place and it was where she would be all night. By his side...despite it all.

Noticing that her mother-in-law seemed very put out, she decided to just stay out of the way. She didn't want to cause more problems, "Hello, Linnea." She called out, just as Barry had.

Then the frost took over her heart as she saw the very person she was dreading to see. Rosemary. She also happened to be holding her daughter, who Nora, though despite never being told anything of the sort, knew was Barry's child. She took a deep breath, keeping her tears at bay. She would not let this ruin her in-laws party. She would be the perfect wife...despite her heartache.

"Rosemary," she nodded and gave the woman an icy smile. It was the only thing she could muster.

How she loved her baby so much. Her darling baby Madison. She had no favourites when it involved her children though. It always made Rosemary happy to hear her girl giggle and laugh. This was the reason she would tickle her so often. "You're getting to be a big girl, Maddy.'' The woman bounced her daughter in her arms though she was ready to let Linnea have her for a moment if she wanted.

Rosemary's heartbeat increased somewhat when she became aware of Barry's presence via his voice. It always amazed her that he had that effect on her even after all this time. She turned to face him. "Hi, Barry. Long time no see.'' Her tone was casual as her smile. Not really. She had seen him recently. "Say hi, Maddy.'' Say hi to daddy, she thought to herself.

"Nora,'' Rosemary felt that pang of guilt when she spotted Barry's wife. She returned a slightly warmer smile. "How are you?" Why was Nora being so cold to her. Surely she hadn't found out about the affair?

As her mama bounced her, Madison continued to giggle. "Big!" she said happily. More giggling. She liked big.

What she wasn't sure that she liked was all the people around her.

Clinging to her mama, she shyly looked at them all. These people were familiar, but they weren't mama or granny. "Hii," she said before sticking her thumb into her mouth and nuzzling into her mother. She just wanted to be held right now and cling to mama.

Watching Nora and Rosemary interact, Barry felt another pang of guilt. His wife was being a little cold, but surely she had no idea what was going on because they were so careful. Seeing Rosemary made him happy, however, even right now. No matter the fact that he loved his wife - with Rosemary there was no difficulties and he didn't have to keep on his guard.

"It has been a while," he agreed while that wasn't really the truth. He had seen her the other day in secret. "How have things been going with you?" Keeping the conversation as casual as possible though his eyes kept drifting to Madison. "Hello, Madison." He wanted to hug his daughter and be a part of her life, but that could never happen. As far as everyone knew she was JACK'S daughter, not his.

He was just Uncle Barry.

Partly to take his mind off of things, he turned his attention back to Nora. "Can I get you anything?" he asked, trying to be the best husband that he could.

Linnea looked around as she was being greeted left and right. Goodness. The woman narrowed her eyes at her son Barry. Something was up with him, something was up with Rosemary as well. Lin couldn't put her tongue on it but something just felt very off to her. Honestly it felt like that for a while now.

"Lovely to see you too Barry and Nora."

She ran into the kitchen to find some of those fake flowers that she had. There needed to be some sort of center piece that involved flowers of some sort. Looking around she found some fake red roses, she dusted them off and went back into the dining room and placed them in the vase.

Linnea stood in the dining room with her hands on her hips as she waited to see if anyone knew where her husband.

There he was. It was about time. "Come, come!" Linnea smiled brightly. "Time to eat some well made food." Linnea smiled at her husband and put her arm around him. "You're nearly late."

Jack nodded slightly at Nora. "That's lovely to hear." He smiled at his sister-in-law. Something was off about her. He could tell that she wasn't going to be leaving Barry's side. Had something happened? Maybe he could talk to her later?

Retired? How hadn't he known about his own brother retiring. "Retired? You finally understood that you're getting old now?" Jack laughed. Good times, good times. Jack shrugged. "Other than moving back to Sweden nothing to be honest." Work, work and more work. They were going to drive him insane at work.

Rosemary almost melted at the sight of her little girl giggling. "Yes, big girl Maddy.'' It seemed Madison had learnt another word. "You remember your family, yes?''... especially Daddy?... Madison looked shy at the moment but her greeting made the woman smile. Her dear shy, cute baby. Rosemary let her nuzzle against her, she herself nuzzling back. Wasn't Maddy just ADORABLE sucking on her thumb like that? ~~Ali melts at her cuteness :3~~

"Things have been fine. Madison is keeping me busy.'' She smiled, holding THEIR baby close. Rosemary dearly wanted Barry to hold Madison but she thought it may be a little risky, especially since Nora was being cold with her, whatever the reason may be. "Is something the matter with Nora?'' she asked quietly.

At the moment of nuzzling against her daughter, Rosemary happened to glance at Linnea in time to see her give Barry a narrowed eyed look. Her heart skipped a beat, her mind immediately jumping to the conclusion that the family had found out about the affair. But just as quickly as that thought had jumped into her head, it vanished. She just needed to remember that she and Barry had covered their tracks well. They were STILL covering them well.

Anyhow, it was almost time to eat. "Would Maddy like to stay with mommy during dinner?'' She had almost said 'mommy and daddy' but Maddy wasn't Jack's. It didn't matter for Rosemary would have to sit beside him for the duration of the dinner.

Speaking of Vera, Viggo turned when he heard her come back in the house and approach him and their oldest sister. "Nothing," he shrugged. "Just waiting for food pretty much." He was basically hungry and bored. He'd suggest something to do, but he got the idea that it would be time to eat soon as he overheard bits and pieces of the adults' conversation. Oh.. yeah.. not to mention his grandmother just yelled that it'd be ready in ten.

He could tell that more people were arriving as the voice grew numerous, but Viggo wasn't in a hurry to get up from the couch he was currently seated on. At least not until it was actually dinner time. Then he could visit with the rest of his family while he ate. Until then, he could hang out here with his sisters or someone could find him in here if they needed him. Which was unlikely.

She couldn't help but laugh at her little brother. "You know I'm just playing. You'll miss me when I'm back in the States for Uni." She was ready to be back there where she felt like she belong. It wasn't at the new school nor here at home. Looking around seeing everyone talking to everyone else. Yep her and Viggo were two peas and a pod really. "Don't worry though, I'll come back for you."

As she joked Maja saw her sister coming in. "Basically what he said, but I'm not sure we will get to eat anytime soon. The adults all seem busy socializing with each other. Most of the kids too."

Madison might have been two, but she still liked putting her thumb in her mouth - especially when there were a lot of people around. Wide-eyed she continued to look at everyone as she nuzzled into mama.

Slowly she nodded her head though she really just knew mama, daddy, grandma, and grandpa. She loved them so much. "YEAH! STAY WITH YOU!" she said excitedly as she took her thumb out of her mouth. She'd be with mommy all day.

Back into her mouth went her thumb.

Seeing his daughter always made Barry's heart ache. It was bittersweet; he got to see her but she would never know that he was her father. That was a good thing. Thank Merlin she did not take after him - at least as far as he could tell. It was hard enough facing Jack half the time without him knowing the truth.

That would be too much to bear.

Deciding to ignore that weird glance from his mother, Barry focused his attention on his brother, letting out a chuckle. "There are only so many years that I can put into Quidditch. Right now I'm happy working at the apothecary." Might not be the most glamorous job but he did like working in his mother's shop and this way he kept himself in good shape. "Kids a handful as usual?" Madison sure was when she wasn't being shy around people she wasn't too familiar with. It pained him to know that he was one of said people...

"I can definitely see that," he told Rosemary while resisting the urge to play with Madison's hair. "You do a really great job with her though." He knew that she was a great mother to their daughter and that made him very happy. Errrr.... He frowned slightly as she leaned in asked about Nora. "She's being more distant than ever this last while." Barry sighed at the thought of his broken marriage.

Secrets Revealed; July 2089

Jack knew something was up, his wife was pregnant and he knew damn well that, that kid wasn't his. If he ever knew who's child that kid was he would give that man a living hell.

The man needed to blow off some steam but he knew that would get him absolutely nowhere, he should talk to Rosemary but he couldn't even look at her right now. The only thoughts that have been passing through his mind were, why would she lie to me? Why would she do this to me? What had he done to her for her to act out like this? Didn't she trust me? He had so much on his mind at the moment.

He had to visit his mother, he needed her over seventy years of wisdom and love. He just needed his mummy right now. Jack walked into the house and looked around. "Mum?" The Swedish man called out. "Hello? Mum are you here?" He asked as he walked around the house and finally going out into the living room and sitting in front of the fireplace. Where was she?

It was an impulsive decision, but that wasn't going to stop Barry from apparating over to his parents' house.

His mother was going to either kill him or disown him. He wasn't yet sure which, but whatever she did... he deserved it. Rosemary was four months pregnant by now. Jack was going to realize very soon that she was expecting if he didn't already. They should have been more careful, but there was no way that he would regret having another baby, not even for a second. Madison had been one thing since Jack believed that he was her father, but there was no way that he would this time. It was impossible.

Sighing, he walked inside the house and looked around. She had to be around here somewhere. "Mom?" he called out. He was going to search this whole house for her if he had to, but upon entering the kitchen he had a thought... Rosemary should be here with him. It wasn't right to do this without her here even though he wanted to protect her from his mother's wrath. With a sigh he picked up the phone and called her, asking her to come over.
