A generation after the defeat of the Dark Lord, the Wizarding World is starting to feel safe once again. Life goes on, children are born, and several rounds of these children have come and gone from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The professors have prepared for another calm year, but little do they know that someone within their ranks is posed to upset everything.

The year is 2037, and it has been 40 years since Voldemort fell at the hands of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. This RP will take place from the professors’ point of view, and I’d like to fill up as many roles as we want to before we start. After we’re set on who is playing who, we’ll fill the rest of the roles with names so we can all refer to the same people. References to canon characters are acceptable, although HP and co. would be almost 60 in this RP and Snape and co. would be over 80. Please provide as complete a history as possible for your characters, although the fact that this RP is for advanced players only means there is leeway for you knowing more about your character than you want to share at this time. Character secrets are great and encouraged.

Please PM me or MSN me if you are interested in joining, but a warning: all the RPers are advanced, mature members of this site who are prepared to devote time and enthusiasm to this RP. If you don’t feel you can post an adult character with good character development, post frequently daily and usually in the EST evening, or write involved posts that are grammatically correct and well-written, then please don’t sign up. We’re serious RPers and we get cranky easily. Some of us even bite.

He shook his head, she was just too cute sometimes. He ran a finger across her knee. "How about going into Hogsmede tomorrow afternoon, then?"

Aria laughed. "Yeah thats true too." She attempted to pout as he put potatoes on her nose. "Hey." she said as she crossed her eyes staring at it. She stuck out her tongue and tried to get it off. Not being successful she turned and smirked at Ricky. She took the hand that wasn't holding his and took the potatoes from her nose and wiped it across his lips. "I guess tomorrow would be ok. I was kind of hopeing we could go later this evening though. Sort of get away from the kids before classes actually start." She said looking into his eyes.

Warrick smiled back at Aria and licked his lips. He gave her a curious look. Was she coming on to him? No, she couldn't be, not with the students at the school. Maybe she just needed a break from the students and other professors as she had been surrounded by them all day. Yes, that must be it.

"If you want to go tonight, that's fine. Although I'm not sure how many shops will be open. But maybe we can visit a pub and just talk." He squeezed her hand under the table and offered her some chicken with his free hand.

Aria watched him lick his lips. "Yeah thats true, but I just want to be with you without the watchful gaze of the kids." she said inclining her head towards them. She took the chicken with her free hand and placed it on her plate and took a bite. He seemed so confused it was cute.

Warrick smiled and nodded again, "Alright then." He said and pressed a finger to her nose. He looked out at the students, who all seemed more concerned with themselves, as they always were. He turned back to Aria, "When would you like to leave?"

Aria followed his gaze to the students. "Well anytime is good really...Do you want to wait till they've been dismissed to their dorms or try to sneak off now?" she asked him with a wink. She took that hand she was holding his with and placed it on her knee and finished her water.

Enora could see that most of the students had finished with their meals. Several of them were still trying to find room for an additional tart while many of the returning students were beginning to strain their necks to locate old friends. She could see many of them waving and pointing out the new staff that she had introduced in her opening remarks. She was quite surprised though at how well the students took the disturbing news she had given them about the recent happenings. She assumed, probably correctly, that most of the student population both wizard and muggle had been reading the reports in their prospective newspapers.Fiannly she felt it was time to get on with the evening and let them return to their quarters and have the newcomers enjoy the feeling she felt many years prior of the excitement of entering a House Common Room for the first time.

"Ahem," she said as she stood up and waited for the hall to get quiet. "It is time to retire and rest you weary bones....or at least for me to do so," she added with a wry chuckle. "First years will follow their Prefects to learn the way and the passwords to enter your Common Rooms. Sweet Dreams to you all, and good night." Without saying anything diretly to her staff, Enora smiled and waved to them and she exited out the back door to arrive at her quarters. Once she entered, she greeted her husband Porter's portrait as usual and went to change into a sleeping gown.

Warrick shrugged, "I don't really mind." He answered. "They won't need us whent the students are sent to bed, I normally just prowl the halls to be sure they all go to their common rooms. But I can do that when we get back." He paused as she moved his hand to her knee and then raised an eyebrow at her.

"Does that mean you would like to sneak off now, Aria?" he asked as he tapped the inside of her thigh, right above where she had left his hand.

He stopped as the Headmistress began her speech. Well, that solves that then. He stood up and offered his hand to Aria.

Aria traced designs on his palm and paid attention as Enora made her speech and dismissed the students. She watched them leave before taking Ricky's offered hand and standing up with him and leading him out of the great hall. As they walked out the entrance doors she asked him. "Walk or apparate?"

Warrick laughed, "Either you want to get there in a hurry, or you're lazy. It isn't that far away. I'd rather walk." He drapped an arm across her shoulders and pulled her closer to him. He deeply inhaled the scent of her hair, and smiled. So warm....

"Is there anywhere you'd like to go in Hogsmede tonight, dear?" He asked as they approached the path to town.

Aria laughed and snuggled closer to him. "Actually I was actually hopeing you'd say walk, it's what I wanted to do too." She smiled at him. "I don't have a preferance. I'm pretty much open for anything. We can have a drink or we can just walk around and enjoy the night." She moved in front of him and turned and faced him, wrapping her arms around his neck. She brought his face down to hers and kissed him. "I just want to be with you and away from people right now."

Warrick smiled as she snuggled closer. He returned the kiss she had given him. "Afraid that everyone would see us together?" He asked her teasingly, then kissed the top of her head.

They finally reached Hogsmede and he was right, most of the shops were closed or closing. "Well, what shall we do?" He asked as his arm slid down her back, resting his hand on her waist.

"I dont' want students to see." she said sticking her tongue out. "Hmmm well we could go to the shrieking shack, or go back to Hogwarts and lay out by the lake." She said as she brought one hand up and started playing with the back of his hair.

He gave her a curious look, "Why in the world would you want to go to the shrieking shack?" He asked, slightly stunned. What happened while she was gone? She wasn't so.............like this earlier.

He looked around, "I suppose the shrieking shack would be alright, troublesome students seeking to break rules might be out by the lake tonight, and you've said that you don't want them seeing us together..." He used the hand on her waist to direct her towards the shrieking shack.

"Actually mainly because I've never been in there and I'm curious." she told him as he guided her closer. Upon closer inspection she became less and less sure she really wanted to do this...especially this late at night. "Umm maybe this wasn't such a good idea." she said nervously as she backed away from it, holding Ricky's hand a little tighter.

Warrick laughed and walked backwards with her, as if he had a choice. "Did you just want to return to the school then?" He asked her gently.

He turned to look at her, she was so cute with the moon reflecting in her wide eyes, he smiled, and leaned forward, giving her a soft kiss on her forehead. He brushed some hair off of her face, "To the school then?"

Aria poked his sides "Hey, you're laughing at me." she said biting her lip so she won't laugh. "Sure, I guess we can head back up to the school, but I want to enjoy the fresh air and stars a little bit too." she gave him a quick kiss and then gave him a smirk. "If we're going to go to the school then you're going to give me a piggy back ride." she said with a laugh and jumped on his back and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed the top of his head.

Warrick blinked and tried to catch his balance as Aria suddenly jumped on him. He wrapped his arms around her legs and jumped, causing her to move up a little higher, to a spot more comfortable for him. For a girl who didn't want students seeing them together, she sure was going about it the wrong way. How many people wouldn't notice the Caretaker with the groundskeeper/CoMC professor on his back?

He began the slow trekk up the path back to the castle grounds, taking care to pretend to drop her every chance he got..

Aria playfully thumped the top of his head as he kept trying to drop her. Finally as they got closer to the castle she jumped off his back and walked beside him with her hands in her pockets staring up at the stars and gazing up at the moon. She couldn't stop smiling. The way the clouds moved across the full moon was gorgeous.

Warrick smiled as he walked next to Aria, she was so pretty here, in the moonlight. He saw her admiring the stars in the sky, and realized where he wanted to take her during the winter break.

He slowly wrapped an arm around her as they walked on in silence. The night was beautiful, the stars were shining and the air was crisp and cool. He stopped and pulled Aria to a stop in front of him, he put his hands on her upper arms, and leaned down and kissed her lips.

Aria smiled and kissed him back, wrapping her arms around his neck. As she pulled away she snuggled into his chest hugging him. She leaned up and kissed his chin before grabbing his hand and interlacing her fingers with his. "What are your plans for tomorrow?" she asked him turning to face him.

He held her close to him, and played with her fingers. "I was hoping to spend more time with you, Aria dear." He said as he ran his free hand through her hair. He cupped her chin, tilted it up towards his face and kissed her again. He leaned his forehead on hers and looked into her eyes, "What do you say, would you like to spend more time with me?"

"You mean I wasn't being obvious enough for you?" she said with a wink and smirk. She kissed him back and smiled. "Of course I want to spend more time with you. Why do you think I suggested the walk in the first place?" she said kissing the tip of his nose and enjoyed him playing with her hair.

"I wasn't sure," he said honestly, "I kind of thought that you just needed a break from everyone you were with today." He pulled her close and rested his head on hers. "Is there anything you want to accomplish tomorrow? Or do you just want to go somewhere....private?" He asked her quietly.
