A generation after the defeat of the Dark Lord, the Wizarding World is starting to feel safe once again. Life goes on, children are born, and several rounds of these children have come and gone from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The professors have prepared for another calm year, but little do they know that someone within their ranks is posed to upset everything.

The year is 2037, and it has been 40 years since Voldemort fell at the hands of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. This RP will take place from the professors’ point of view, and I’d like to fill up as many roles as we want to before we start. After we’re set on who is playing who, we’ll fill the rest of the roles with names so we can all refer to the same people. References to canon characters are acceptable, although HP and co. would be almost 60 in this RP and Snape and co. would be over 80. Please provide as complete a history as possible for your characters, although the fact that this RP is for advanced players only means there is leeway for you knowing more about your character than you want to share at this time. Character secrets are great and encouraged.

Please PM me or MSN me if you are interested in joining, but a warning: all the RPers are advanced, mature members of this site who are prepared to devote time and enthusiasm to this RP. If you don’t feel you can post an adult character with good character development, post frequently daily and usually in the EST evening, or write involved posts that are grammatically correct and well-written, then please don’t sign up. We’re serious RPers and we get cranky easily. Some of us even bite.

Mark stood and stretched, making his way reluctantly to Warrick. That had been a fairly boring meeting all in all, he thought. 'Right then. We need to get the carriages sent to the main street. ' He tapped his foot, crossing his arms. 'Shouldn't be too troublesome. One of us will need to talk to Aria about the thestrals,' Mark smirked at the man and lowered his voice. 'I'll leave that to you shall I? For now, I have some final preparations to make.' Not explaining further, he moved and left the room. Making it quickly to his rooms, he charmed the door closed behind him.

Wei said nothing, her face impassive until they reached her door. She lifted the charm stepping inside and spoke finally. 'I don't apreciate being attacked verbally for no aparant reason Nikita.' She paused, looking away. 'Be that as it may, I acceot your apology. This is hardly a time for the staff to be on bad terms. I suggest you direct your anger where it belongs in future.' She tried to keep her tone neutral, but it was difficult. Nikita brnging it up had brought back the flare of annoyance. She was old enough now to be given respect. She didn't have to take irrational anger anymore. She shook her head, moving over to the fire. 'It will floo us straight to teh house unless we say otherwise,' Wei explained before droping some powder and disapearing.

Nikita nodded and blushed slightly. Wei was right.. And perhaps, this wasn't the best time to bring it up. Nikita grabbed some of the floo powder as she walked towards the fireplace. Sighing, she threw it into the flames and stepped right into them.

The warm familiar feeling covered her, until she suddenly found herself in Wei's house.. She walked out of the fireplace and looked around her surroundings. "Great! Now, where are these rooms?", she said with a happier tone.

Professor Granger pulls away from Nicky like she had just been bitten by a snake. She is the orignal ice queen Nicky decides, and yet her very actions seem to intrique him. He hasn't been that close to a woman since Tatianna had died, and while he still wasn't completely over her death, he was still a Russian and they have always enjoyed the company of a beautiful woman. Professor Granger is definitely a beautiful woman, and she has the spirit of her mother as well. Uncle Severus had told him all about Hermione Granger. She is intelligent as well as beautiful with a fiery spirit to boot. Nicky stands aside and let's the three women lead the way. "You know this area better than I do, so I will bow to your lead." He smiles at Bebe and Airia. For now Nicky is willing to let Ana run the show.

Bebe nearly died at the kiss. "I'll go take care of the conductor. Excuse me," and she ran away blushing like a fool.

"Good day, Sir," Bebe said, politely as she approached the conductor. She bowed politely and dropped her handkerchief on purpose. As the man bent low to pick it up for her, Bebe gave her wand the smallest of waves, and the conductor suddenly remembered an important errand he had to run. Bebe excused him and returned. "He won't be back for at least twenty minutes. We can carry on." Bebe didn't look at any of the others.. just in case they didn't approve.

Aria was shocked by the kiss but smiled at Nicky anyways. She nodded and watched as Bebe left and returned. She turned to Ana, "should I go talk to the manager of the station and see if he knows anything about the explosion? He might be able to tell us something that would help." Aria offered. "Or explore the train while the conducter is away?" she asked.

ooc: what does mark mean about the threstrals....aria is at the station... did he mean for her to get them ready for like the kids?? *shrugs* lol

Nicky is impressed with Bebe's performance. Just a few words and she has tha nosy conductor eating our of her hand. He then listen to Aria mention something about an explosion. "Was there another explosion today? I just witnessed one on the way here. It was on one of those Muggle Knight Buses." Nicky doubted this information was important, but he thought he would mention it.

"I don't know exactly what was the cause of the damage to the ward, but an explosion would do it," Ana eyed Aria suspiciously for a moment before studying the yellow tape crossing the entrance to Platform 9 3/4. "The Muggles see a dirty, unused station right now. I need to get closer to look at the wardings and find the runes."

Nicky examines what remains of the barrier to Platform 9 3/4. "Bebe has sucessfully gotten rid of the conductor for the moment. Perhaps you could use the disillusion charm to gain entrance to the platform unnoticed. The muggles seem too busy going about their business to pay much attention to us."

As far as she could tell, the secret to life was acting as if you were supposed to be somewhere. Ana walked up to the barrier and peered into the terminal. It looked as it always did for her, but she knew that any Muggle would only see a dirty, unused station. She didn't know how long those charms would hold while the Muggles were poking around in here, but that wasn't her most immediate concern.

Ana knelt next to the opening, starring at the line of runes running up the wall. She tapped each of them with her finger thoughtfully before returning to the group. "I need to use my wand on them. I need someone to block their view of my while I'm disillusioned."

Considering he was the largest of the group, Nicky thinks he would be the most logical one to act as decoy. He looks around at the muggle going on about their business, and then an idea comes to him. "Why don't Aria, Bebe, and I pretend to be examining the entrance while you go inside the to the platform. Isn't there a muggle agency that handles such investigations as explosions and the such. As Bebe said, muggles are easily distracted and if the British are anything like the Russian, they have a real fear and mistrust of authority. I don't they would bother government official working on an official investigation."

Warrick noticed Mark hadn't given him much time for a response. He shrugged, only mildly curious what the final preparations would or could be. He was just fine with being the one to talk to Aria as well, after what he gleaned from Bebe about him, the last person he wanted around either of the girls was Mark.

Since Aria had already left, however, he decided to go straight down to the Great Hall to set up the extra table for the first years.

Wei smiled distractedly. This is it. She pointed to two of the walls. 'This first one lets out into a spacious hall,' she explained. 'This one,' she turned to the other, 'is a little more complex. It lets into two rooms.' She bit her lip. 'I'll take this one. I know the layout better. You can try that one. As big an arch as possible.' Wei moved over to the wall and started tapping it with her wand. It sounded hollow until she hit the seperating wall. She pulled a pencil from her hair, marking the spot on the wall. She finished tapping , and with the section clearly marked, she moved to one side, and concentrating she opened up the first arch.

Mark moved nervously around the room. He hated waiting. It was a tactic, to get someone on edge so they were more agreeable. He left teh picture he was looking at, turning to collapse into a chair. He was only there for moments before he stood and paced again.

Finally he was led into the room. He bowed, waiting for a moment before speaking. 'It is as you expected Sir. Half the teachers have left the school. I can set the-' He fell silent as the mans hand rose.

'We both know what it is you have to do,' the cold voice cut in. 'Now I have your next task.' There was a trace of a smirk as he dropped a file on the table in front of Soloway. 'It should be particularly suitable to your talents. I need not remind you what is at stake here for you.'

Mark grimaced. He needed no reminding of what he had put on the line. He picked up the folder, opening the front cover. 'Are you joking?' he asked before he could stop himself. 'She's the original icequeen. The king of charisma himself couldn't get to her.'

'Then you'd better try hard,' the voice burst. How dare the man speak to him that way. He leaned forward, half his face coming into teh light, the shadows creating a stark and frightening contrast over his features. 'Failure will not be an option. It is not just your reputation and future life at stake.' He smirked, all teh more startling with the play of light on his features. 'Your mother is a muggle don't forget. And for my followers, muggles are a sport of kinds at the moment. Distracts the ministry nicely. Your service ensures that they do not show up at her house by mistake.'

Mark gulped, nodding, and departed with his file. In the confines of his rooms at Hogwart's he sat down, puring himself a large glass full of firewhiskey. Feeling only slightly calmer, he pulled the file towards him and began to read.

Nikita nodded silently as Wei explained both walls. She watched Wei closely as she marked the dividing line and walked over to her assigned wall. She looked at it carefully for a few seconds before taking her wand out. By that time, Wei had started opening the first arch. Smiling to herself, Nikita pointed her wand at the wall and started doing the same.

The walls seemed to stretch at first, but this stretching movement began to disappear as the lines curved upwards. The arch was forming without a glitch, to which Nikita grinned. Nikita concentrated on the corners of the arch, which would make sure the arch was wide and tall.

Ana considered. "I have to stand in the arch itself, so it would be better if all three of you stood on just this side and did something... distracting. I'll be disillusioned just behind you." She walked back towards the arch, hoping that the others were right behind her. At the arch, she ducked around the corner and tapped herself on the head.

Nicky turns his back to the crowd, holds out his hands, and concentrates hard at them. In a few moments three muggle clip boards appear with name tags attached to them. Nicky takes his name tag off the board and attaches it to his jacket pocket. The tag says Scotland Yard, Forensic Investigations Division, Chief Inspector Daniel Grint. Nicky then hands a clip board to Bebe and Aria. "Russian muggles tend to fear authority figures. I hope British muggles have the same tendency. For those that are too curious for their own good, they will see three members of Scotland Yards crime investigation unit investigating a crime scene. We should be able to cover you up and keep the curious at bay."

Wei stoo dback, both arches finished. Glancing over she saw that Nikita had finished with her wall too. She surveyed the room. All together it was very spacious. 'Lets just move the furniture into the corners in piles,' she suggested, 'and then we'll be all set. There should be enough space for the students and their trunks.' She smiled, moving into the kitchen. She pushed the table and chairs agaist one wall between her sparkling cooker and empty fridge.

Then she moved back into the sitting room, levitating the chairs against one wall. They were soon finished, and dusting her robes down, she turned to Nikita. 'Shall we head back then? The floo goes back automatically to my office.' She smiled, it must seem odd that she had her fireplaces set up this way. 'It was the route I always took, so it seemed faster this way.'

Mark was in shock. How did she hide this all so well. He threw down teh file and paced the room for several minutes. Then laughing he stopped and made some coffee, shaking his head. 'Miss Granger. I never thought you had it in you.' He laughed again. This may not be such a difficult preposal after all, now that he knew there was a human under the icy exterior. He smirked as he continued to read, only half taking in the words. His mind had already flown to far more interesting images and possibilities.

Aria nodded to Ana and placed herself beside the archway. She was thinking of what she could do that would distract when Nicky handed her a clipboard and a nametag. Smiling amusedly she took the nametag and pinned it on her blouse straightening it out. Finally satisfied with the way it looked she took the pin off the clipboard and started chewing on the end of it staring at the clipboard. She turned as Ana disillusioined herself and then looked standing guard beside Nicky. As a curious muggle approached Aria stepped forward. "Sorry, Miss. We need you to step back. Just a standard case of a 10-67 in the middle of 6-45. You know routine." she said smiling at the woman and stepped back as the lady moved on.

Ana laughed softly to herself as she got out her wand. "Aria, I think you watch too much television," she offered in a low voice before tapping her wand against the runes. She tapped each rune several times, murmuring to herself as she worked. 'No response? That's a bit... oh... hm. Well, what if I...? No? Odd. Very odd."

Bebe started right behind Aria, taking her lead. "We should set up a perimeter," Bebe said, magically pulling some yellow tape from inside her robes. Bebe wrapped the tape around the poles between the platforms. "Any luck, yet, Ana?"she asked, tapping her pen on her clipboard, keeping both eyes on the muggles.

Ana tucked her wand away after she made herself reappear. "It is certainly very interesting. I can't say precisely what happened Muggle-wise here to make them believe an accident occurred, but it appears the runes have been tampered with. The wards were brought down, and I have to believe a Wizard did it."

Nicky is not the least bit surprised by what Ana says. Only a wizard would have access to the area and know how to alter rune symbols. "Now that you know how they brought the wards down, do you have any ideas as to how we can repair them in a hurry. Yes Inspector, I agree it's a good idea to cordon off this area. May be contaminated with all sorts of germs. The chemists haven't ruled out the possiblity of biohazards being used along with the explosives." Nicky smiles. That should encourage the muggle to stay clear of this area."

"Oh.. excuse me, excuse me...," Bebe said, hurrying over to what looked to her be an older Slytherin boy. "Can't get on that platform I'm afraid," Bebe whispered to him. "Come." Bebe guided him back to the other professors. "Students.. are arriving.. This one got in the contamination. Have to take him," she added as a group of Muggles passed by closely.

ERMMM. I don't know where the kiddies are supposed to be going.. and I assume a few would be at the train station.. didn't get the letter kinda thing. Um. If not.. ignore me and hit me in the face later.
