A generation after the defeat of the Dark Lord, the Wizarding World is starting to feel safe once again. Life goes on, children are born, and several rounds of these children have come and gone from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The professors have prepared for another calm year, but little do they know that someone within their ranks is posed to upset everything.

The year is 2037, and it has been 40 years since Voldemort fell at the hands of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. This RP will take place from the professors’ point of view, and I’d like to fill up as many roles as we want to before we start. After we’re set on who is playing who, we’ll fill the rest of the roles with names so we can all refer to the same people. References to canon characters are acceptable, although HP and co. would be almost 60 in this RP and Snape and co. would be over 80. Please provide as complete a history as possible for your characters, although the fact that this RP is for advanced players only means there is leeway for you knowing more about your character than you want to share at this time. Character secrets are great and encouraged.

Please PM me or MSN me if you are interested in joining, but a warning: all the RPers are advanced, mature members of this site who are prepared to devote time and enthusiasm to this RP. If you don’t feel you can post an adult character with good character development, post frequently daily and usually in the EST evening, or write involved posts that are grammatically correct and well-written, then please don’t sign up. We’re serious RPers and we get cranky easily. Some of us even bite.

Wei nodded to Branxton when he asked her permission for himself or Cole to enter. Hopefully Cole would take the initiative and do it, but even if he didn;t she had known Branxton as a collegue for many years, and felt somewhat more comfortable with the idea of him entering her quarters than the new teacher. She stood, moving around to Nikita. 'Perhaps we should discuss how we plan to intercept the students, and how to get them to the floo unnoticed?' Her voice was chilly, not Wei's usual friendly tone. The woman's uncalled for attack of earlier not forgotten.

Ana smiled gratefully and gestured. "I think we should go. I want to get down there and figure out what we're doing just in case any students should happen to show up early." She began to walk, quickly outpacing them. "There's a Floo in my office which can take us as close as Diagon Alley. From there, I'm certain we can take a tax-it or something to King's Cross."

Nikita looked up at Wei as she came closer and started talking. Nodding, she rose from her seat. "Very well", she said coldly. She was still quite angered by her last comments.. feeling that Wei had no right to chase after Cole. "What do you propose?", she asked quickly as she crossed her arms.

"A taxi," Bebe corrected, following after the quick paced woman. They arrived in Ana's quarters, and all three women were gone in a swirl. They arrived moments after one another in The Leaky Cauldron. Bebe dusted herself off, hoping that she didn't have any black smudges on her face.. like the last time she had used the floo network. Definitely wasn't her preferred way to travel. "Come on. I'll catch us a cab."

Ana checked her sweater for soot before following after Bebe with Aria in tow. "Taxi," she repeated to herself as she tucked her wand into her waistband. "Is a cab the same sort of thing? How does one catch a cab?" She envisioned a large net of some kind. Charring Cross Road was nearly empty, so they made their way towards a larger street. Watching the Muggles around her, Ana inched closer to Bebe. "I think they're looking at me."

Bebe put her fingers in her mouth and gave a shrill whistle as they approached a busy intersection. "Like that. And don't worry. They probably are just looking at you because you're pretty." Finally, a car pulled up to the curb and Bebe opened the door. "Ever been in a car before?"

Ana nodded. "My grandad loved Muggle things, plus the Ministry uses cars from time to time. Never been in a... taxi before," she murmured right before she slid into the back seat and across the bench. "We're going to King's Cross station," she informed the driver.

Wei hadn't expected the woman to stand. Caught unawares, she moved across the room, filling a mug with coffee before returning. 'If they gather in Diagon Alley, floo to the house would be an obvious choice. It limits the muggle attention. My house is usually very quiet. A bunch of children suddenly arriving would be odd.'

Nicky hurried out of the meeting as soon as Doyle left. He runs to his rooms. If he is going to meet the three professors at Kings Cross, he would need some proper English muggle clothes to where. The problem was he wasn't exactly sure what proper English muggle clothes were suppose to look like. Then he remembered an old English television show from the sixties called "The Advengers." His grandmother loves cloak and dagger anything and used to watch the program on an picture box she called a television. She had all the programs on some kind of discs she called a DVD. The whole thing made little or no sense to Nicky, but he did like the female English spy. If memory served him, her name was Emma Peel. Nicky takes out a set of robes, a walking stick, and a wizard hat out of his closet. He hopes he remembers the spells correctly. Nicky had never been an Outstanding student at transfiguration. He waves his wand, and the clothes tranform into what he wants. Changing quickly, Nicky looks in the mirror to see if everything fits properly. "Going to a fancy dress ball as a muggle are we. Well you should steal the show," the mirror says to him. Nicky had to admit he is almost the mirror image of John Steed in his three piece suit, bowler hat, and required umbrella. "What was it Steed used to say? The perfect English gentleman always carries an umbrella." Nicky is sure he will blend in perfectly with the muggles at King's Cross. Without further ado, he heads for Professor Granger's office. Nicky's sure she won't mind him borrowing her fireplace. He takes a pinch of floo powder, steps into the fireplace, throws the powder and says the Leaky Cauldron. In a matter of minutes he find himself in the pub. Leaving it he heads out into the muggle world. Unsure how to get to King's Cross using Muggle transportation, he decides to walk. Nicky hopes the ladies don't have too much of a head start on him.

Aria followed the two ladies and laughed as Bebe whistled for the cab. She slid in after Ana and leaned back against the seat crossing her legs. She turned to Ana, "You might want to be careful. Cab drivers tend to go really fast. You might want to brace yourself. Or at least if they are anything like the cabs I've been in." she said with a smile. She liked Ana. She reminded Aria of herself. Or at least the part of Aria she kept hidden from everyone. Even some of her closest friends didn't know the whole story.

Bebe sat quietly in the back of the taxi. This was definitely the most awkward moment so far. She sure didn't know what to say to these two women. Especially Aria, the one that was always flirty with Mark. She checked her watch and then her change purse to make sure she had muggle money on her. "Let us off at the corner, please."

Nikita nodded. "Are we to use a floo network to get them to your house and then get them here?", she inquired. Wei was not making perfect sense. "Or do you mean just for the students that are in Diagon Alley?", she asked.
"If that is the case, I would suggest asking the wizarding families to use floo network directly to Hogwarts.. and the muggle-born students to use Diagon Alley as an alternative. They are welcomed to use my house, if you would prefer", she eyed Wei carefully.

'Those who gather at Diagon Alley can floo to the house, then to Hogwart's,' Wei explained patiently. Honestly, for a supposedly intelligent person, the woman was quite slow on the uptake. 'Until the wards around Hogwart's are dealt with, only established floos are advisable. I saw terrible accidents with the floos when I was a student. So perhaps we could have families divert to either house, and then on to Hogwart's?' She looked around at the woman with interest. 'I take it you have your floo connected to Hogwart's?'

That there are wards in place around Hogwart's. These wards make flooing except to prepared fires, (ie the teachers, or dumbledores) tricky. It can be done (like Sirius in OotP) but it requires more skill than usual.

Therefore she thinks that unless the wards are altered, that families, should not floo themselves directly to Hogwart's, cause they might not get it right, especially since it would be kids flooing. Instead they should travel to meet Wei and Kita, (or the other methods of transport) and take the floo that Wei had set up from her house to Hogwart's *shrug*

It doesn't take long for Nicky to tire of walking to King's Cross Station. He decides to catch one of those red things that resembles a Knight Bus. It takes a while for him to find the right one. Nicky didn't realize they didn't work exactly like a Knight Bus. He got the strangest look from the first bus driver when he told him he wanted to go the King's Cross Station. The driver told him he would need the number 29 bus. That this one went to Wesminister Abbey. Nicky finally finds the right bus and is relieved to find he has muggle money to pay for the ride. He decides to go up to the second level and enjoy the scenery. Nicky sits next to an elderly muggle lady who compliments him on his atire. He didn't exactly understand what she meant by being the first MP she had ever seen on a doubledecker bus. He makes a mental note to ask Bebe about this. Since she's the Muggles Studies professor, he is sure she could explain it to him. Nicky watches another red bus drive by when he hears a loud banging noise. he turns around to see the whole top of the other bus as been blown open. The muggle on board start talking about an explosion on the bus. Finally Nicky is starting to understand why the other professors are so concerned about what is going on. Things are definitely not right. What would happen to the muggle population if they found out about the wizarding world? They would probably start blaming them for what was going on. Nicky sees King's Cross Stations stop coming up. He goes down stairs and gets off the bus. Nicky then looks around for the other professors. He is not too familar with muggle way, so he would perfer the others to do the talking.

The taxi stopped, and the three women climbed out. "Thank you," Ana leaned down and waved to the driver before she turned to view the station. Now this was familiar. She headed inside, turning towards platforms 9 and 10. The other two women were right behind her, she hoped, because she was eager to check out the wards and to see what had made them go down.

Nicky walks around platforms 9 and 10 trying not to look too conspicuous. He does seem to draw the attention of a very noisy train conductor who ask him if he can help him. Nicky tells him he's waiting for his sisters to arrive at the station. Then they are planning to take the number 15 train to Norfolk. He wonders if perhaps he gave the man too much information because he gives Nicky a strange look and leaves muttering something about the number 15 train going to Birmingham. Nicky is relieved to see Professor Granger, Bebe, and Aria arrive at the platform. He greets them warmly giving each of them a kiss on the cheek. Nicky kisses Professor Granger last, grabs her by the arm, and whispers in her ear. "The train conductor over there is watching us. I told him I was waiting for my sisters to arrive. then we are taking the train to Norfolk. Sorry about kissing you, but I didn't want to arrouse his suspicions anymore than they already are." He let go of Professor Granger and waits for the others to decide what they are going to do next.

Ana had to restrain herself to keep from shoving him away from her. She hated to be touched, especially by strangers, and this man had just been all in her space and touching her with his LIPS, no less. "It's fine," she murmured, her jaw clenched as she turned to the other women. "We're almost there."

'Well, Branxton is sending the letters I presume. You could get a list of students we expect from him.' Wei considered. There was very little they could do for now really. 'I am going to go on to the house. Get it ready for the students arrival.' She looked at the woman to see if there was anything else.

Nikita nodded.. "And have you figured out the itenary for arrivals yet?", she asked Wei in a nicer tone. She was trying to consider.. telling her.. Perhaps, she would offer to help with the arrangements. "Do you think you will need any help setting up your house?", she asked her once more. She looked at Wei. It really wasn't her fault that Cole had toyed with their emotions.

'If you can charm walls to arches, then your help is much apreciated.' Wei smiled. 'Most of my house is unused space. If it can be opened to the students, it will make it all much more comfortable for all concerned.' She moved into the corridor, waiting for Nikita. 'Once we know which students to expect we can work out the specifics.'

Nikita followed Wei as she moved into the corridors. She nodded and smiled, "Yes, of course, I can help you with that. I could enchant the rooms to be bigger and fit as many students as they are needed". "When would be a good time to do it?", she inquired as she walked the corridors. Perhaps it was time.. perhaps she would draw the courage to tell her after she had helped set up her house...

Nikita nodded. "Yes, of course. Now is as good as time as any", she replied. As they kept walking, she assumed they were heading towards Wei's office. After a few seconds of silence, Nikita decided it was time to tell her.. Not knowing where to start, she started with a simple apology. "I'm sorry about earlier.. in the office", she said softly. "It was never my intention to be rude.. and my anger wasn't projected at you", she told Wei.
