A generation after the defeat of the Dark Lord, the Wizarding World is starting to feel safe once again. Life goes on, children are born, and several rounds of these children have come and gone from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The professors have prepared for another calm year, but little do they know that someone within their ranks is posed to upset everything.

The year is 2037, and it has been 40 years since Voldemort fell at the hands of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. This RP will take place from the professors’ point of view, and I’d like to fill up as many roles as we want to before we start. After we’re set on who is playing who, we’ll fill the rest of the roles with names so we can all refer to the same people. References to canon characters are acceptable, although HP and co. would be almost 60 in this RP and Snape and co. would be over 80. Please provide as complete a history as possible for your characters, although the fact that this RP is for advanced players only means there is leeway for you knowing more about your character than you want to share at this time. Character secrets are great and encouraged.

Please PM me or MSN me if you are interested in joining, but a warning: all the RPers are advanced, mature members of this site who are prepared to devote time and enthusiasm to this RP. If you don’t feel you can post an adult character with good character development, post frequently daily and usually in the EST evening, or write involved posts that are grammatically correct and well-written, then please don’t sign up. We’re serious RPers and we get cranky easily. Some of us even bite.

Bebe had armfulls of ink and her cloak pockets stuffed with rolls of parchment. That should do her through at least the first few weeks. She put her supplies up and went to work scrubbing the room down. When finished, she went and glanced at herself in the mirror. Bebe had undoubtedly got more dust on her, than she had gotten up off the floor. She shook her hair and the dust flew.

Bebe sneezed a couple of times, and decided that the House Elves could do the rest. Enough muggle cleaning for her. So, dust covered and dirty.. Bebe headed off to find the cleaning elves. Hopefully.. Mark wasn't up on her floor anywhere..

Warrick and the house elves he had borrowed had finally finished what needed to be done. He thought it would have taken longer, but then, he was used to doing this all himself, without the help of the elves. They really put everything they had into helping, or serving, wizards. "Thanks guys, take a break, or find something else to do." He said, unsure if there were other things that needed to be taken care of. He watched them run off then went to his room for a shower and a change.

After drying off and changing, he went off to Hogsmede to buy a few things he needed.

Nikita nodded. Getting the hint, she rose from her chair. "It was certainly lovely talking to you, but I must go and sort out my office before classes", she smiled. "See you around", she told him as she slowly stepped away.

"Ah yes, classes... Your right, I need to get my office organized too. It was lovely talking to you. We must do it again real soon." Nicky didn't realize Nikita had left. His mind is still on Professors Granger and Branxton. It is obvious Professor Granger isn't going to leave anytime soon. Nicky looks arounds and finds himself alone at this part of the staff table. He now has the perfect excuse to join Branxton and Granger. Nicky picks up his cup and plate and heads down to where they are sitting. "Excuse me, do you mind if I join you'll?" He asks as he takes a sit next to Granger.

After finally managing to strike up his second conversation of the term, asecond person came over to join them. Tricky. He'd never been one for crowds, unless the crowd happened to be a seminar or the conversation related to work. Doyle recognized the man from the staff meeting, the new flying instructor. He couldn't recall the name. He looked to Miss Granger when he asked permission to join them.

Ana didn't regret the addition of someone else. She struggled to have a conversation with some staff members, and Branxton was at the top of the list. She gestured grandly to the chair and offered a small smile. "Please. I'm sorry to say I don't remember your name from the staff meeting. It was all a bit fast. I'm Adrianna Granger, and this is my colleague Doyle Branxton."

Nicky takes Ana's hand and kisses it. "Ah yes, Granger. You aren't by chance related to a Hermione Granger, are you? I've heard so much about her I think I know her personally already. I believe Uncle Severus was very fond of her. Of course it's always hard to tell with him. Uncle Severus is a master at hiding his true feelings." Nicky then shakes hands with Branxton. And you are the Potions Master if I'm not mistaken. I've been wanting to meet you. Professor Hatterfield said in her note you might be able to help me with a potion I need to brew. Uncle Severus has showed me how to do it, but I'm still don't feel confident to try it on my own. Perhaps we could discuss it in more detail at a later time. I hate to bore this beautiful lady with take about potions and such." Nicky sits down in the chair Ana so graciously pointed out. He is looking forward to getting to know her and Branxton better.

Ana was uncomfortable with all the galantry, and she shifted back in her seat while the two men talked. Taking her hair up, she pinned it severely away from her face and continued with her breakfast.

Warrick trudged back up to the castle from Hogsmede with several items. He took them all into his room and began to sort through them. Flowers, paint, animals..........he paused trying to remember if he forgot anything.

Nikita was walking around in the hallways, as she headed towards her office. The feeling of being there alone made her uneasy, so she took the long way to get to her office. As she strolled around the school grounds, she paused here and then to look at the beuatiful landscapes.

Most Russian women allow their hair to be natural and free flowing. They don't try to hide it by putting it up in some ridulous creation that only succeeds in limiting the flow of blood to the brain. I assume that why Russian women are considered more intelligent than their British counterparts." Nicky decides to have another piece of toast with his tea. He grabs a piece brushing Professor Granger's hand in the process.

Doyle had to consciously prevent himself from rolling his eyes. "I'm afraid I will be unable to help you on that last part for I am not very well aquainted with the ways of the opposite gender," he replied, feeling most awkward discussing this at all, let alone in front of a woman as if she weren't sitting right there. But, he disagreed with the foreigner and couldn't let his comments go unanswered. "However, I believe the way British women to conduct themselves in manner and appearance to be quite satisfactory. Their hair, as you pointed out, conveyes a sense of intelligent beauty."

Cole rounded a corner and spotted Nikita ahead. He wasn't in the mood to deal with more stress, but he wasn't sure he'd get her alone again. Speeding his pace, he hurried to join her. "'Kita! I... I needed to speak with you for a moment."

Ana was more than a little embarrassed by the subject of conversation. Not only did she feel singled out, but she also felt insulted. Her hair style made her less intelligent? What nonsense was this? With a stilted expression, she rose and bowed shortly. "Excuse me, gentleman. Have a good day." She turned and made her way off the dais.

"... not a lack of intelligence," Doyle finished his thought after a pause to sip at his coffee. As Miss Granger abruptly left the table, he followed after her with his eyes. She was upset about something and he strangely felt the need to go after her and see if she was alright. "Excuse me," he said as he rose, gave a short bow, and left the table.

He caught up with her as she was leaving the hall. "Miss Granger," he called after her. He left it at that, not sure what he had meant to say to her.

"Of course professor, I will talk to you later then." Nicky watches both Granger leave the table and Branxton follow after her. His hunch was right Professor Granger was the great Hermione Granger's daughter. She has her mothers intellect, beauty, and her fiery disposition as well. He would have to apologize to her later. Nicky didn't like being so rude to her, but sometimes it is necessary to get the imformation you need. He takes a few more sips of tea and then decides to go and check his office out. Nicky needed to unback some things and get organized before the students arrive.

Ana turned and looked at Branxton, her chin going up out of stubborn pride and self-defense. "Why is it you refuse to refer to me as Professor? It is a professional curtesy that is typically extended by our colleagues." It wasn't the reason she was upset, but she was curious.

He frowned at her question. The fact of the matter was that he wasn't even aware that he was doing that, let alone why. "I apologize.
I hadn't realized that I was doing that, Professor," Doyle replied, a bit awkwardly.
He took out his hankerchief and began cleaning his glasses. "I actually wanted to apologize on another matter, as well. The conversation with the new professor, Professor..." he'd forgotten the name already. "Was out of place and rude." Not to mention completely uninteresting and he shouldn't have pursued it at all.

Ana gave a slight shrug. "I'm more than used to having men underestimate my worth based on my gender, my parentage, or the way I look. I should be beyond being offended at this point, but I'm not beyond being uncomfortable at being the topic of so unprofessional a conversation."

"I assure you that I do not undervalue you and was attempting, rather poorly and unnecessarily, to defend the honor of British women as a whole to the foreigner. As for your proper title, I have no excuse and can only say that I am deeply sorry." He placed his glasses back into place, neatly folded the hankerchief and put it back into the pocket within his robes..

Ana patted her hair without need. "I don't actually mind. It's something I've been curious about, but you seem to have that habit across the board." She fell silent and was tempted to excuse herself again. "Why exactly do we find it so difficult to converse with each other, Professor?"

Doyle looked at her and shrugged. "I find it difficult to converse with most people, truth be known," he replied. "I'm not certain if it's worse with you or not."

"I'm not a big conversationalist myself, so I suspect it's both of our faults. I'm a bit introverted when it comes to dealing with members of the school staff, but this is a bit embarrassing. If we run into one more awkward silence, I'll be forced to start a conversation about Quidditch or cauldron bottoms."

"I don't think you'd want to strike up a conversation about cauldron bottoms with me. I suspect, aside from Percy Weasley, I have done more research into them than anyone," he replied with a slight upward twitch to his lips.

ooc: I suddenly know why Doyle doesn't talk much. o_O That was bad.

"But Percy Weasley is my uncle and my major source of knowledge about cauldrons and their faulty bottoms. I think perhaps we might be evenly matched in that conversation. So... what else is there? I'm sure you don't have a vested interest in the limits of summoning charms?"
