This RP is the backstory for one of my school RP characters, Professor Doyle Branxton. I find it intriguing that he was a Slytherin, yet he was very much the goody two shoes. I'm guessing he was placed in Slytherin due to his ambition but, I really don't know all that much about him and would like to explore his history a bit more. I get to know my characters best through RPing with others so, I hope some of you will join me in the RP. Since this RP will take place slightly after the time of Harry Potter, I'm looking for mostly made-up characters, though some of the professors may or may not still be around (we can decide those details later as I don't anticipate the professors playing major roles).

The year is 2035 (39 years after Harry & Voldemort perish in their epic battle of good versus evil). It is Doyle Branxton's final year at Hogwarts and he is Head Boy. Interestingly enough, it is also the final year for a Hufflepuff girl (Nora Leiden) and a Gryffindor boy (Kobus Hendrik).

Note for those who follow the school RP: Zizhen would be a second year, Devine would be a first year, Hutchinson would be a 3rd year, and Yarns would be a fifth year.

I'm not sure how this RP will play out since it's a simple plot: Doyle's life and friends in his seventh year. I suspect he had several close friends and they didn't necessarily all have to be in Slytherin house. This probably caused some contention between himself and his housemates so, there's room for people to chose whether they want to be a friend or foe. Remember, he's a Slytherin, but he is rather prim and proper (or maybe that's just what we think

Please don't be intimidated. I'm hoping to include some regular members in this RP, not just my staff buddies, though I'm sure they're going to join up (or, I hope). So, jump in if you'd like to play along. If you'd like to join but, are having trouble coming up with a character, post anyway and we'll work something out.

Birthdate: March 8, 2018 (so he's 17 at the start)

Looks: Doyle is six feet tall with black hair and blue eyes. He is a medium build and wears glasses. His appearance is always neat and tidy and it's a wonder he can even come out of herbology looking spic n' span.

Personality: Doyle is calm and quiet. He has a few close friends. Most people mistake his quiet, thoughtfulness for being shy. Despite this seeming shyness, he is well suited to prefecting though, he would prefer to listen in silence rather than participate in scuffles and arguments. He is very studious, excelling in all his classes, even though he doesn't particularly like charms (I'm not sure why not, yet). I see Doyle as being rather Percy-ish when it comes to his duties as head boy and being respected as such, though he's not quite as stuck up as Percy tends to come off.

History: There was some muggle blood a few generations back in Doyle's family, but there are few wizarding families without such interminglings at some point so, for all intents and purposes, he is a pureblood. Doyle was always interested in seeing how things worked, even as a young child. He displayed the typical signs of magical abilities in his youth and was, of course, given admission to Hogwarts.

It took him a while to make friends since he was sorted into Slytherin house and had seemingly nothing in common with his housemates. Despite efforts on the staff's part to promote inter-house relations, the other three houses were still wary of anyone in Slytherin house. Most of his friendships were formed with people from other houses, causing a further rift between Doyle and his housemates. Despite this rift, he was given the post of prefect in his fifth year, a duty he took to heart.

He is now a rather ambitious seventh year student and head boy to boot. He has aspirations of gaining employment with the Ministry of Magic and, as such, is studying hard for his NEWTs.

Kailee rolled her eyes at Bren but they widened at Bren's mention of her crush on Branxton and even more so at Clara's explaination of how she would be or not be good for him. "I'm not interested in him so Crystal can have him, though you know you only want her to be with him so you can keep gossip contact information up to date and get it straight from the horse's mouth." Kailee raised an eyebrow.

Crystal came panting up behind Clara to the original compartment she had began in with a few added extra's this time. "Clara dear you rushed off in such a hurry! You dropped this," She said handing her best friend an expensive quill of hers. She took a seat beside Ash and waved hello to Kailee.

Ash sighed inwardly as he could see the conversations going downhill. He always tried to stay out of it when his friends talked about setting each other up. He wondered if they would notice if he went back to reading. He slowly edged out his book on advanced potions.

"Ah, Zitzburg. Your dear friend Belle was just telling us about your plans to seduce and influence the Head Boy," Brennan let his arm drop around Belle's shoulder and pulled her to him. "I don't see why you manipulating the Head Boy is any more noble than my desires to be on the Head Boy's good side. Truce? We can share information?" He let her go.

Crystal's eyes grew in humungous size as Brennan lovingly told her about Clara's big mouth. "I will have you know I am not trying to influence him! I just merely think he's cute," she said whilst scowling at Clara. Crystal turned her attention to Ash to get off the subject, "Whats that your reading Ash?" she asked sounding as interested as possible.

Kailee had gotten bored when the attention wasn't on her so she moved and climbed into Ashers lap and started reading the book with him. She didn't really pay that much attention to it but was starting to fall asleep when Crystal started to talk to him. She refrained from rolling her eyes and turned her focus back to the book. "It says on the cover doofus." She told her.

Asher raised his eyebrows at Crystal's interest at his reading material, "just some advanced potions," he showed her the cover, "I need to do something a little more productive with my time," he said with a straight face, though clearly teasing the girl. He knew her interest would wan quickly.

He tried to wriggle his way out from under Kailee.

"Hm, I should get a lend of it from you when you are done. I am taking Potions this year," she said all smug with herself. However Crystal did not like Kailee's rude and mean comment, "Well if I could of seen the cover and not the open pages I wouldn't of had a problem, now would I?" Crystal said logically.

"So how was your summer Ash, things going okay at home and stuff? My parents weren't in half the time due to work. Crazy people," Crystal laughed, "What about yours?"

Kailee poked Ash on the shoulder. "Hey, stay still and be the good pillow you're supposed to be Ashers." She said with a grin and leaning back. Why was Crystal even asking all these questions. Not like she ever cared about Ashers at any other time. She refrained from rolling her eyes once again and settled on closing them as if to try to take a nap.

"Same as usual," Ash replied to Crystal's question while finally succeeding in tipping Kailee off his lap and back onto the seat. "Parents are always out, and my sister is being smug about her new husband. Rather boring. Though I did add several volumes to my library," he added.

"Wow I didn't know she got married! Who to? Is he hott?" Crystal said, definitely interested in this topic. She remember she used to play with Ash's sister when she went round to his house to be looked after when her parents were too busy. Now she was that bit older she could fend for herself no obviously.

Kailee scoffed as she was dumped back off his lap and into the seat. She poked his shoulder again before fixing her hair. She looked incredulously at Crystal. "Tell me you're not serious? The guy is married and you're asking if he's hot?" She gave a slight chuckle. "I must say I'm somewhat impressed. "Not that I'm condoning it or anything, just doesn't seem like you're the homewrecker type." She said raisning an intriqued eyebrow.

Asher laughed at Crys' interest in this topic. Absently he reached over and messed Kailee's hair after she poked him. "Since you all seem to be attracted to the name lately, I should say that her new name is Bianca Branxton. Whether he is hot, I couldn't really tell you."

"Branxton?" That surely was an eye opener. Hopefully she may be a Branxton one day, she daydreamed. "I think i'm going to owl Bianca, haven't spoken to her in quite a while," Crystal continued, completely ignoring Kailee's comment.

Kailee fixed her hair, again, after Ashers messed it up. She took her wand and painted his nose green as he was talking to Crystal about his sister and her new marriage.

Asher caught the the movement of Kailee's wand out of the corner of his eye, "nice try Kay, that hasn't worked since 1st year," he quickly took his wand and corrected her prank. She was so predictible. "Ok, stop disturbing me, I'm trying to read," he took out his book again and opened it in front of his face.

Clara's letter had her full attention, not the fact that Coop had not mastered the art of keeping his hands to himself. "This isn't to me...," Clara stared at it, temporarily ignoring Coop. "It's to Nora. She's the Head Girl." Clara's eye lit up and folded the letter into her notebook. That would look nice in an article, she thought.

"I'll wager a galleon that Coop will be Nora's boy toy before this year is over," Clara announced to all. "And when that happens, you'll take care of us all? I think we should make a written deal. Here and now."

Brennan blanched. "I'm not going after Leiden. She's... no way. If that's the way you want to play this, we'll find someone else to pursue her." Brennan found Leiden distasteful, although he certainly couldn't put his finger on why. She was very pretty, actually, but there was an air about her that made him skittish.

Clara giggled. "You might be too obvious anyway. She's not dumb, afterall. But.. Ash. Ash is noble and kind. He could get in close with her and all of us help." Clara reached out to tap Ash on the knee with her quill. "At least think on it." Clara tilted her head to gaze at Ash, noticing his color, and scribbled it down in her book.

Crystal smiled at Ash, "You so totally should and i'll try get in with Branxy. We could do cute double dates and stuff!" Crystal said planning it all out in her head already. She was so excited.

"Ash doesn't date scary Head Girls," Brennan said confidently. "Besides, Nora Leiden won't have the power. She'll fawn all over Doyleybear... he's the one to crack."

Kai looked over at Bren and raised an eyebrow at the conversation. "How did Leiden get headgirl? She's smart yeah, but a hufflepuff?" Kai shrugged her shoulders indifferently and went back to playing with her ponytail. "Doyleybear? That's a new one. She will though. Should give you alot of great stuff to write about there in that book of your's Clara."

"Indeed," Clara sighed. She turned and put her quill to Coop's mouth. "Ash has a mouth and a voice, and I know this may be news to you love, but a real brain that has thoughts and opinions too. Let him speak. Pretend you're my secretary for a while instead." Clara tickled Coop's nose playfully. "So, what will it be Ash? One tiny sacrifice from you and we all benefit from it. I'll help, we all will." Clara smiled at him, her lovely white teeth shining over at him.

Suddenly it clicked it Crystal's mind that what Clara was suggesting wasn't such a good idea after all. "em.. Clara my dearest lil humming bird. I'm agreeing with Brennan against Ash going out with Nora. Nora is... odd. I will do my best with Branxy and get you your information, okay?" Crystal said to her friend, patting her on the head.
