This RP is the backstory for one of my school RP characters, Professor Doyle Branxton. I find it intriguing that he was a Slytherin, yet he was very much the goody two shoes. I'm guessing he was placed in Slytherin due to his ambition but, I really don't know all that much about him and would like to explore his history a bit more. I get to know my characters best through RPing with others so, I hope some of you will join me in the RP. Since this RP will take place slightly after the time of Harry Potter, I'm looking for mostly made-up characters, though some of the professors may or may not still be around (we can decide those details later as I don't anticipate the professors playing major roles).

The year is 2035 (39 years after Harry & Voldemort perish in their epic battle of good versus evil). It is Doyle Branxton's final year at Hogwarts and he is Head Boy. Interestingly enough, it is also the final year for a Hufflepuff girl (Nora Leiden) and a Gryffindor boy (Kobus Hendrik).

Note for those who follow the school RP: Zizhen would be a second year, Devine would be a first year, Hutchinson would be a 3rd year, and Yarns would be a fifth year.

I'm not sure how this RP will play out since it's a simple plot: Doyle's life and friends in his seventh year. I suspect he had several close friends and they didn't necessarily all have to be in Slytherin house. This probably caused some contention between himself and his housemates so, there's room for people to chose whether they want to be a friend or foe. Remember, he's a Slytherin, but he is rather prim and proper (or maybe that's just what we think

)

Please don't be intimidated. I'm hoping to include some regular members in this RP, not just my staff buddies, though I'm sure they're going to join up (or, I hope). So, jump in if you'd like to play along. If you'd like to join but, are having trouble coming up with a character, post anyway and we'll work something out.

Name: Doyle Branxton
Year: 7th
Birthdate: March 8, 2018 (so he's 17 at the start)

Looks: Doyle is six feet tall with black hair and blue eyes. He is a medium build and wears glasses. His appearance is always neat and tidy and it's a wonder he can even come out of herbology looking spic n' span.

Personality: Doyle is calm and quiet. He has a few close friends. Most people mistake his quiet, thoughtfulness for being shy. Despite this seeming shyness, he is well suited to prefecting though, he would prefer to listen in silence rather than participate in scuffles and arguments. He is very studious, excelling in all his classes, even though he doesn't particularly like charms (I'm not sure why not, yet). I see Doyle as being rather Percy-ish when it comes to his duties as head boy and being respected as such, though he's not quite as stuck up as Percy tends to come off.

History: There was some muggle blood a few generations back in Doyle's family, but there are few wizarding families without such interminglings at some point so, for all intents and purposes, he is a pureblood. Doyle was always interested in seeing how things worked, even as a young child. He displayed the typical signs of magical abilities in his youth and was, of course, given admission to Hogwarts.

It took him a while to make friends since he was sorted into Slytherin house and had seemingly nothing in common with his housemates. Despite efforts on the staff's part to promote inter-house relations, the other three houses were still wary of anyone in Slytherin house. Most of his friendships were formed with people from other houses, causing a further rift between Doyle and his housemates. Despite this rift, he was given the post of prefect in his fifth year, a duty he took to heart.

He is now a rather ambitious seventh year student and head boy to boot. He has aspirations of gaining employment with the Ministry of Magic and, as such, is studying hard for his NEWTs.

"Well, that's really all one can do, isn't it?" he asked as he began to ascend the steps into the castle. "Despite your aerodynamics, will you be tring out forthe house team? You should talk to Robert," he added, pointing over to his friend who had suddenly disappeared. "Hmmm... I'm not sure where he ran off to but, he's the captain of the Ravenclaw team and one of the friends I mentioned."

Clara shook her head at Fabian, her nose touching his chin they were so close. She reached down for her quill, and shoved it properly up his nose and left it there. "My beauty comes from within, of course. Not to mention a whole line of ugly brothers before me. My parents were bound to have a pretty one sooner or later." Clara laughed and removed herself from him. "Keep the quill, by the way. I have plenty."

Crystal tilted her head to the side slightly, "Blonder? I'm not blonde, I'm a redhead," Crystal explained quite confused. She sat down beside Kai, "Well I left them when they were getting told what was going to happen, so soon enough I assume."

"I guess, I'll try. Although there's a very slim chance I'll make it. There's a lot of great talent out there. And plus I might love to play quidditch, but I have a passion for something else." Joana said as she nodded.

"I met Robert breifly on the train, when I was walking with Lorcan." Joana said as she smiled. "Who has seemed to have dissappeared."

Fabian tried not show any pain responses to the quill that has been shoved up his nose, instead he pulled it out with a faint smile. Trying not to follow his slytherin senses and preform something evil on the girl, fabian simply replied "How nice of you, ill keep this and considered as a gift from you and maybe treasure it for all eternity.. aih!". But soon spotted Doyle near them, eh perfect for the quill revenge!.
Walking towards Doyle's direction, fabian replied "Ofcourse, and I need to thank your parents some day, for having someone like you aih?", just in time to bump into dear old doyle.

"Pardon me doyle" fabian said as he tried to mask a cheesy smile on his face, and let clara pull away, "You know romancing on the first day back!, I'll keep the quill darling" he replied flirtingly at clara with a flying kiss before entering the great hall.

Kailee patted Crys' shoulder as she looked at her confused. "Excellent!" She exclaimed looking around the hall. "Wonder where everyone else is. They got out of the carriage around the same time I did."

"That was romantic," Brennan clapped Clark on the shoulder and moved into the Great Hall with him. "Are you moving in on Belle or are you pulling one over on her? I don't care either way, but it's nice to know where your interests lie this term, Clark." Brennan grinned good naturedly, but he wasn't a fan of Clark falling for Belle. They had plans in the works that could be compromised.

Nora was inclined to take housepoints from the nosy snippet Zitzburg, but she hustled after a few fifth years, very concerned about the lengths of their skirts. She brushed by a few other seventh years, but gave them no attention.

Clara gave Doyle an appologetic look as she passed him by. "He's just a bit jealous of our date. No harm, do ignore him." She patted him on the back as she passed into the Great Hall.

"No worries. I'm here and that's all that is important, right?," Clara answered Kai, taking a seat next to her. "I hope there are no hard feelings from earlier. I don't think I could live with myself if there were." Clara slid her plate over and made room for her notebook and fresh quill. Meanwhile, she raised an eyebrow at Crystal. Was she wet?

Kai waved her hand. "No, I'm sorry. I was in a weird mood. And I am glad you're here." She waved the guys to come sit down with them. Kai looked again at the weird look on Clara's face when she looked at Crys and started to giggle.

Brennan didn't wait for Clark to respond, choosing instead to guide both Clark and Asher over to where Kailee had apparently decided to befriend Belle and Zitzburg. "I have a scoop for you, Belle, but I need compensation. What would you be willing to give for the story behind the shouting you heard during the ride up?"

Fabian raised an eyerbow at brennen's sudden curiousity, "Don't worry mate" he replied with a smile, "I am pulling one on her to see if she will be able to shove doylzie off the first date, and have it with me instead. She's loving the attention". Patting his chest he followed brennen into the great hall, "Me loyalties stands with slytherins, always and forever" he added as he drummed his chest all the way towards the slytherin table to where everyone was sitting. "Ello" he greated as he sat down smiling at everyone.

Clara raised both of her eyebrows high into her curls. "Brennan Cooper!" She leaned towards him, pushing back a curl with her quill. "You know exactly how to get what you want from me. Name your price, you evil salesman. Though, I must tell you the first two weeks of Hogsmeade are already taken." Clara squinted at him. She wanted his point of view of Miranda's rantings and she wanted them badly.

Brennan plopped into his seat and gave Asher and Kail a look that was clear. He didn't want them sharing any information until after they had made a deal. "I don't want to take you to Hogsmeade, Belle. Sorry to break your fickle little heart, but I just don't want to make out with you." He grinned as his words were an echo of her own from before. "How about... you owe me a favor?"

Kai opened her mouth to agree but then saw the look on Bren's face and closed it back nodding to him. She put an elbow on the table and gave a little laugh when he said he didn't want to date Clara. She liked watching Bren negotiate. He had control and it was fun.

Fabian tried to hide his smirk as brennen negotiated, the look on clara's face was simply AMAZING!. Fixing his hair fabian kept a flirting eye on clara and said "No one loves you as much I do gorgeous".

Clara bit her lip happily as she leaned forward to meet Coop halfway. She put her hands on top of his as she spoke. "That, my dear Coop, is not a favor. That would be my pleasure." Clara winked in his face and put her rear back in her seat.

"So, now that you have my word," Clara said as she scribbled out a mini contract, signed it, and passed it to Coop to sign as well, "I'll be wanting your first hand account of what happend. Tell me everything."

Crystal smiled as the rest of the house began filing in. She reached up to her hair when Clara gave her a funny look and she felt it was still damp. "I'm not going to tell you why, you'll just publish it," she stuck out her tongue and giggled. However, Clara's attention was drawn to Coop who was acting as if he was working in some Black Market dealership, but Claar would do anything for a story.

Fabian grinned madly at her kissy faces, "That is unfortunately not up to me, you made a deal with coop already" he answered as he patted cooper's back proudly. Fabian then stretched out in his chair looking around the great hall as his eyes landed on a wet crystal, sending her a smile before moving his attention to some of his pretty hufflepuff fangirls seated across the halls.

"Clark has never yet let a girl distract him from the greater good," Brennan commented as he signed the paper and pushed it back to Clara. "Now... here's what happened." He proceeded to recount detail for detail the ride up from the station, even adding some voice changes and silly faces to make the story all the better. He could be quite the storyteller if given an audience.

Clara put her quill down after getting each and every detail and stood. She gave Coop his own private standing ovation. "You're a Saint Brennan Cooper. Saint Coop of Hogwarts. Noble and Popular. Sort of good looking. Teller of tales." Clara popped her tongue at him and had a seat again.

"I'm charming," Clara simply answered Coop, with a face to match her declaration. "We may not be soul mates, but he also isn't writing any vows to me. A simple date is harmless, I'd say." She paused. "Though, I suppose he could be writing vows to me...," Clara added with a cool tone. Jabbing at Coop was almost as fun as being on the receiving end of Fabian's relentless flirting. She loved life at Hogwarts. "Please, don't be jealous. I really will pencil you in for the third weekend." And Clara did so. "Feel better now? Good," she baby talked to him as she flipped notebook around to show him his slot.
