This RP is the backstory for one of my school RP characters, Professor Doyle Branxton. I find it intriguing that he was a Slytherin, yet he was very much the goody two shoes. I'm guessing he was placed in Slytherin due to his ambition but, I really don't know all that much about him and would like to explore his history a bit more. I get to know my characters best through RPing with others so, I hope some of you will join me in the RP. Since this RP will take place slightly after the time of Harry Potter, I'm looking for mostly made-up characters, though some of the professors may or may not still be around (we can decide those details later as I don't anticipate the professors playing major roles).

The year is 2035 (39 years after Harry & Voldemort perish in their epic battle of good versus evil). It is Doyle Branxton's final year at Hogwarts and he is Head Boy. Interestingly enough, it is also the final year for a Hufflepuff girl (Nora Leiden) and a Gryffindor boy (Kobus Hendrik).

Note for those who follow the school RP: Zizhen would be a second year, Devine would be a first year, Hutchinson would be a 3rd year, and Yarns would be a fifth year.

I'm not sure how this RP will play out since it's a simple plot: Doyle's life and friends in his seventh year. I suspect he had several close friends and they didn't necessarily all have to be in Slytherin house. This probably caused some contention between himself and his housemates so, there's room for people to chose whether they want to be a friend or foe. Remember, he's a Slytherin, but he is rather prim and proper (or maybe that's just what we think

)

Please don't be intimidated. I'm hoping to include some regular members in this RP, not just my staff buddies, though I'm sure they're going to join up (or, I hope). So, jump in if you'd like to play along. If you'd like to join but, are having trouble coming up with a character, post anyway and we'll work something out.

Name: Doyle Branxton
Year: 7th
Birthdate: March 8, 2018 (so he's 17 at the start)

Looks: Doyle is six feet tall with black hair and blue eyes. He is a medium build and wears glasses. His appearance is always neat and tidy and it's a wonder he can even come out of herbology looking spic n' span.

Personality: Doyle is calm and quiet. He has a few close friends. Most people mistake his quiet, thoughtfulness for being shy. Despite this seeming shyness, he is well suited to prefecting though, he would prefer to listen in silence rather than participate in scuffles and arguments. He is very studious, excelling in all his classes, even though he doesn't particularly like charms (I'm not sure why not, yet). I see Doyle as being rather Percy-ish when it comes to his duties as head boy and being respected as such, though he's not quite as stuck up as Percy tends to come off.

History: There was some muggle blood a few generations back in Doyle's family, but there are few wizarding families without such interminglings at some point so, for all intents and purposes, he is a pureblood. Doyle was always interested in seeing how things worked, even as a young child. He displayed the typical signs of magical abilities in his youth and was, of course, given admission to Hogwarts.

It took him a while to make friends since he was sorted into Slytherin house and had seemingly nothing in common with his housemates. Despite efforts on the staff's part to promote inter-house relations, the other three houses were still wary of anyone in Slytherin house. Most of his friendships were formed with people from other houses, causing a further rift between Doyle and his housemates. Despite this rift, he was given the post of prefect in his fifth year, a duty he took to heart.

He is now a rather ambitious seventh year student and head boy to boot. He has aspirations of gaining employment with the Ministry of Magic and, as such, is studying hard for his NEWTs.

"Well?" He let himself be pulled into another compartment, but he brushed Kailee off as soon as they were alone. "What is it? You hate the plan? You're worried about Belle? You want me to shove off? I get it, Kai, but if you're in, you're all in. Are you all in?"

Kai opened her mouth and closed it. She was the one who wanted to talk and he wouldn't shut up. "Why me? Why not pick some other random girl who will work for you better? Maybe someone with less in her head so that she doesn't mind you bossing her around and treating her like a simple puff." She paced the compartment. "At first it seemed like a good idea and fun but I don't like the way you're treating me. We're friends Bren, you can't walk all over people like that. One of these days you just might end up losing the best thing you have."

She ran her hands through her hair. "Clara has a date with him already, use her, but don't tell me how I can and cannot act. Fabi was the one who was flirting with me and you snapped at me."

Brennen pursed his lips, annoyed by her tantrum. Sitting down, he pulled Kailee back into his lap. "You're right, I shouldn't have talked to you that way. You don't have to be the one, but you're in the perfect position to do it and you're the only girl I know with the brains and power to pull it off." He sweet-talked her, twirling her hair with his fingers. "I got nervous because Belle was watching. She would put the pieces together if we gave her half a chance."

Kai sighed as he pulled her into his lap again. "The thing is, I don't think you really are sorry. You're just saying that because you can. And I have to be the one to do it because no one else would put up with your crap like I do." She rolled her eyes and laid her head on his shoulder. "You're frustrating you know that." She ruffled his hair and kissed his forehead. "And sometimes I don't know why I put up with you."

Kai looked at him. "No, it's not a stupid idea. I guess I don't really understand why you keep making a big deal out of this. People like you better and you have more influence then Branxton will have even with that badge."

Kailee scoffed. "You may not be mad but you would pout." She smirked and poked at his cheeks making them into a pouty face.

"I have a darling pout," he protested, shaking her hands off his face. "I have more influence and more friends, but he has decision making power, influence with the teachers, and prestige. If we have any pull with him, it gives us all the power in this school. That makes sense, right?"

He wondered if he was being too pushy. "Unless of course, you'd like to find your own way. That's quite alright as well."

"Branxton has nothing on you except a badge with words that give him the chance to be out later in the halls. Curfew has never been a problem for us anyways. I haven't ever abidded by that rule."

"Alright." Joana said, not getting muchof a chance to say anything. Joana shurgged as she started to replace her clothes, hoping no one would open the door by mistake.

She sighed as she looked at the Ravenclaw robes in her hands before she put them on. She eyed the siver and blue tie and wondered this said about herself.

Joana looked out the window again. This was all happening so fast. She felt the train move faster as it neared its destination. She put on her clothes, knowing her life was going at the same fast pace.

Joana put on her robes and waited for Lorcan to come back.

Lorcan wandered the halls, looking for his fellow Quidditch team, or at least someone that he hung out with.

It was odd. None of them had been around, but he never they wouldn't have ditched out. Otherwise, they wouldn't be on the Quidditch team anymore.

OoC: Now would be a really nice time for one to finally show up.

Joana walked out of the compartment after she had put on her robes and looked to see if she saw Lorcan anywhere.

She walked over to him when she finally spotted him looking around. "Do you have to waer this robe everyday, because its making me very hot?" Joana asked Lorcan, as she held her robe.

Which was becoming increasingly difficult, as she tried to pull down her short uniform skirt at the same time, exposing long creamy legs, which was somethign that she liked to hide.

He sighed. "The quidditch team doesn't seem to be around, I must have missed them."

Robert had left his girlfriend Miranda with a bunch of her friends back in the Ravenclaw Common Room and was now wandering the hall with the Vindictus twins flanking each side of him. From a distance he spotted Lorcan and motioned for the twins to be silent.

Quietly, the trio led by the Ravenclaw Quidditch Captain who was in the lead, snuck up behind Lorcan who appeared to be conversing with a girl. "Of course we're nice and loyal friends," Robert said cheerfully.

Kai and Coop scooted off to another compartment to have a private chat of somesort. Crystal however was looking at her reflection in the window and fixing her hair. "I hope I look okay for the opening feast," she said footering with her clothes. "When are we supposed to be getting there?"

The train was really starting to wind down now and Clara could feel that sense of inspiration and excitment building in her tummy. She looked shiftily around at the others. They all had to be excited as she about thier last year..

Emil-Owich had changed into his school robes and was waiting in the corridor. Couldn't the train arive already? He had been stading there for 5 minutes, just waiting to get off..
