This RP is the backstory for one of my school RP characters, Professor Doyle Branxton. I find it intriguing that he was a Slytherin, yet he was very much the goody two shoes. I'm guessing he was placed in Slytherin due to his ambition but, I really don't know all that much about him and would like to explore his history a bit more. I get to know my characters best through RPing with others so, I hope some of you will join me in the RP. Since this RP will take place slightly after the time of Harry Potter, I'm looking for mostly made-up characters, though some of the professors may or may not still be around (we can decide those details later as I don't anticipate the professors playing major roles).

The year is 2035 (39 years after Harry & Voldemort perish in their epic battle of good versus evil). It is Doyle Branxton's final year at Hogwarts and he is Head Boy. Interestingly enough, it is also the final year for a Hufflepuff girl (Nora Leiden) and a Gryffindor boy (Kobus Hendrik).

Note for those who follow the school RP: Zizhen would be a second year, Devine would be a first year, Hutchinson would be a 3rd year, and Yarns would be a fifth year.

I'm not sure how this RP will play out since it's a simple plot: Doyle's life and friends in his seventh year. I suspect he had several close friends and they didn't necessarily all have to be in Slytherin house. This probably caused some contention between himself and his housemates so, there's room for people to chose whether they want to be a friend or foe. Remember, he's a Slytherin, but he is rather prim and proper (or maybe that's just what we think

)

Please don't be intimidated. I'm hoping to include some regular members in this RP, not just my staff buddies, though I'm sure they're going to join up (or, I hope). So, jump in if you'd like to play along. If you'd like to join but, are having trouble coming up with a character, post anyway and we'll work something out.

Name: Doyle Branxton
Year: 7th
Birthdate: March 8, 2018 (so he's 17 at the start)

Looks: Doyle is six feet tall with black hair and blue eyes. He is a medium build and wears glasses. His appearance is always neat and tidy and it's a wonder he can even come out of herbology looking spic n' span.

Personality: Doyle is calm and quiet. He has a few close friends. Most people mistake his quiet, thoughtfulness for being shy. Despite this seeming shyness, he is well suited to prefecting though, he would prefer to listen in silence rather than participate in scuffles and arguments. He is very studious, excelling in all his classes, even though he doesn't particularly like charms (I'm not sure why not, yet). I see Doyle as being rather Percy-ish when it comes to his duties as head boy and being respected as such, though he's not quite as stuck up as Percy tends to come off.

History: There was some muggle blood a few generations back in Doyle's family, but there are few wizarding families without such interminglings at some point so, for all intents and purposes, he is a pureblood. Doyle was always interested in seeing how things worked, even as a young child. He displayed the typical signs of magical abilities in his youth and was, of course, given admission to Hogwarts.

It took him a while to make friends since he was sorted into Slytherin house and had seemingly nothing in common with his housemates. Despite efforts on the staff's part to promote inter-house relations, the other three houses were still wary of anyone in Slytherin house. Most of his friendships were formed with people from other houses, causing a further rift between Doyle and his housemates. Despite this rift, he was given the post of prefect in his fifth year, a duty he took to heart.

He is now a rather ambitious seventh year student and head boy to boot. He has aspirations of gaining employment with the Ministry of Magic and, as such, is studying hard for his NEWTs.

Brennan took the opportunity at hand, with Branxton's back to him, to pantomime to Kailee. He wiped his eyes and clung to the wall, showing her that he wanted her to start crying and hold on as tightly at Branxton would let her. She was a smart girl, but Branxton was a tough nut to crack. He would need some persuasion, and Brennan would make sure Kailee knew just what to do.

Kailee stepped out and after making sure that Doyle couldn't see what Bren had been doing winked and gave a subtle nod before closing the door behind her. Turning back to him she gave a small smile and looked at the ground. "I'm really sorry." She said starting to sniff a bit. "I mean, I really wanted this year to be good and I've already started it off bad by screwing up and not making the meeting." She looked up at him as tears formed in her eyes. She let a couple flow down her cheeks before speaking again. "I've disappointed you and everyone who depends on me." She brought a hand up to wipe away more tears. "I'm sorry Doyle."

He was completely taken aback when she stepped out and started to apologize. She was even crying. "But... I said I wasn't going to report it," he said, looking around. Several students were looking at him as if he was the reason she was crying. Doyle was not doing so well on his first day as head Boy. He took her arm and lead her down the hall into an empty compartment.

Kailee followed him into an empty compartment and sat down. "I don't mean to break down like this, I was just really hoping I could start the year off well and by being responsible." She wiped away a few more tears before giving Doyle a small smile. "So, what did I miss?" She asked turning to pay attention to him.

"I..." Doyle was still a bit stunned and took off his glasses. He almost had his hankerchief to them when he realized she was crying and handed the hankerchief to her instead. "Here, I've got a spare," he said, taking that out of his other pocket so he could clean his glasses because they obviously weren't spotless enough after the last time he cleaned them, five minutes ago. "Well, you were prefect last year, as well so, you didn't miss much. Just the usual introductiona nd reminder of duties..."

He paused as he held his glasses up to the light before putting them back on his head and placing his hankerchief back in his pocket. "There was the usual pep talk and the distribution of passwords. The new Slytherin password is lethal lethifold."

Kailee took the handkerchief and smiled gratefully. She dabbed at her eyes and watched as he cleaned his glasses. "Have you ever considered contacts?" She asked him curiously. "You have really pretty eyes." She gave him a smile and nodded. "Thank you so much for being so understanding. I'm sure you're busy so I won't take up any more of your time." She handed the handkerchief back to him and got up to leave.

"Contacts?" he asked with a quizzical expression, though he blushed slightly at her comment about his eyes. He cleared his throat. "Don't worry about it, I can understand those others holding you up and since you already know the ropes, it really isn't too much of an issue. Just... don't make a habit out of it."

"I won't, I promise." She leaned and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Don't let anyone tell you different, but you really are the best man for this position." She gave him a smile before heading out the compartment door and back to Bren and the others.

Doyle was bright red and just stood there in the doorway to the compartment staring after Sommers. He meant to tell her she needed to patrol for a bit but, the words stuck in his mouth and nothing came out. He took off his glasses and started cleaning them, his face still pink after being kissed on the cheek. What had gotten into the girls... His thought process stopped as his eyes caught the glint of his badge. He placed his glasses back on his nose and started studying the badge as if it were going to tell him or by studying it he would figure out why the girls seemed attracted to him now.

Brennan looked up as Kailee came back into the compartment. He was lounging across one whole bench again, watching Asher read and presumably watching Clark admire his muscles. "Finally!" He gestured for her to come squeeze in with him. "Tell me what happened. Tell us everything."

Kai laughed and blinked the remaining tears from her eyes before settling down beside Bren. "Not to much to tell really. At least not right now. I think I have him confused though." She kind of chuckled to herself as she remembered Doyle blushing. "I started to cry, like you were I think trying to suggest. That threw him off a bit. He told me not to worry and that since this is my second year as a prefect I already knew everything." She leaned back. "And then I kissed his cheek and thanked him for being so understanding and told him I didn't want to take up to much of his time. Then I left and came back here." She ran her hands threw her hair again and played with the end of it.

Fabian chuckled inwardly at the sight of Kailee entering their compartment with tears in her eyes, the sight of her made him more curious on how much she was able to convince him.
Listening to her explain her meeting with branxton, fabion couldn't resist from sticking a smirk on his face. Frowning slightly at how she ended their meeting, rubbing his forehead slightly he looked up at kailee and brennen "Why did you come back here kailee, you should have asked to do some of your prefecting duties with him. I think that was a good opportunity for a bit of mingling" he replied sending winks her way.

"I didn't want to do to much to fast. If he's gonna buy anything I say I have to gain his attention as well as trust him. That's not going to happen if all the sudden I start hanging all on his arm." She moved over and sat beside Fabi. "If I all the sudden started to link arms and want to be with you all the time," She linked her arm through his and looked up adoringly at him, "Wouldn't you start to be suspicious? He needs to think I'm serious for this scheme of Bren's to work." She ruffled his hair and moved to sit beside Bren again curious as to what he would say.

Looks: Joana is a small 5'3 frame. Coco brown hair that is never completely down. And icy blue eyes.

Personality: Joana is ver quiet and doesn't make friends much. But the few that do gain her trust, get her fierce loyalty too. Although you won't see Joana picking fights, she will face toe to toe with any opponent.

History:

Joana is from a prestigious wizarding family. But, is repremanded by them, becasue she assoiates with half bloods and muggle borns.

She's gone to five other wizarding schools besides Hogwarts and because she thought she would move again, she was hesitant to make friends. But after she found out that she was here to stay she made a few friends and eeven went out for the house team.

Not surprisingly she was sorted into Ravenclaw because of her love of books and learning. Joana's goal is to become head girl so she studies hard to achive the same high marks she recived last year on her OWLs.

"No, you did well, princess," Brennan dragged her across his lap so that she was tucked against the seat with her legs on his. "I wish Belle could have seen you with him... in a clinch, even. We need to get Zitzburg off the trail or Branxton will know something is up." He ruffled is tousled blonde hair and bounced Kailee lightly. "We need to get him to take you to Hogsmeade."

Nora finally found Doyle skulking in a carriage at the other end of the train. She tugged on her school robes. "Well, Doyle, I'm surprised at you, really. You take off without your partner, you aren't changed yet, and you have lipstick on your face. What kind of impression are you leaving the younger children and the other prefects? I expected more."

Joana looked out of her compartment window as she tried to busy herself with her new Dan Brown book. She sighed knowing it was no use.

New school yet again. She thought as icy blue eyes glazed over in thought. I wish I could find somewhere I could belong.

Joana shook her head as tears started to form in her eyes. Her father was never a man who liked the weakness of emotions, and she was never a girl to show it.

Joana was jolted out of her deep thought by the grummbing of her stomach. She tried to ignore it and went back to reading, but the hunger was determined to be estinguished.

She sighed as she grugingly got up to find the food trolly. Putting her book down and walking out of her compartment. She looked at a compartment full of friends as she walked past. She looked on longingly.

Maybe this year, just maybe, I'll try to make friends. Joana thought. But, before she could become imersed in the fantasy, she shook it out of her head. What's the point. I'm gonna leave soon anyway.

"I... what?" Doyle said, coming out of deep thought, his hand going to his cheek and rubbing it furiously. "I was talking to one of the prefects who didn't show up for the meeting," he explained, straightening out his suit. "And I've only got to toss on my robes." He was flustered and embarrassed that Nora Leiden, of all people, had been the one to catch him in such a state, even though it wasn't anything like it appeared.

I assume you spoke with either Kailee or Flavia, and considering the particularly vulgur shade on your cheek, I'll hazard further that it was Kailee Sommers. She's pretty. Thought you'd get all the perks of being Head Boy, did you? I expected it of Cooper, but not of you."

Kail laughed as Bren dragged her. She laid her head back against his shoulder. "Glad you approve."She said smirking. "Well I did leave him with a lipstick kissy mark on his cheek. Someone's bound to notice that." She said giving an angelic smile. "Might be for an interesting story of just what the Head Boy was doing." She raised an eyebrow.

Joana didn't even reconize her own voice it was so meek and timid. When usually it was low and chilling.

"I..." Doyle started to splutter again but, raised himself up and regained his senses before he could do something embarrassing. "Now see here. I will not stand to be spoken to in that manner by you, Leiden. You may be Head Girl but, you are not my superior. I do not have to defend my honor to you but, if you must know, I had already told Sommers that I would be willing to overlook this infraction if she promised never to shirk her duties again before she started breaking down in tears and her obvious over-elated kiss of gratitude."

"Well," Nora was immediately mollified. "There's no need to raise your voice. We're partners, my dear, and we should attempt to be respectful of each other at all times. Now, we've lost quite a lot of time already after that girl kept you from your duties, so I think it would be best for us to patrol alone for the next half hour before making sure the students are ready to disembark."
