Notes:
You will notice that the RP is set up in such a way that many characters come and go. I've done this intentionally so that people can still participate in the RP if they can't be committed to it for the entire duration of the RP.
I would like to encourage you to take on the challenge and fill roles that need to be filled, even if it's a type of role you've never played before.
If you are interested in filling a role I've listed a need for, please PM me, and I will give you the basic details you need to know. I don't want to just post the character profile for you because I want you to have the ability to make your own choices make the character your own.
I do reserve the right to reject any characters created. This is mostly to keep a reasonable number of characters and to ensure that roles essential to the plot are filled first.
Once you've decided/have been assigned a role, please PM me with your character information, and I will post it here for you.
As the plot progresses, I will fill players in with all necessary information to help the plot progress in the way it is supposed to via PM. There are some details that not all players will receive beforehand just because it makes it more fun if you don't know everything.
No scene will start until all necessary characters have been assigned.
I will notify all players by PM when a new scene is about to start.
Once a scene has begun, no new characters may be added to that scene.
Please let me know ASAP if you will be unable to RP for a few days so that we can either figure out if we can go on without you OR so I can tell the other players that we're pausing the story.
Just a reminder that this RP was placed here because it will contain some more mature material as the story goes along. If you have any questions about how to make mature subject matter more tastefully written, feel free to PM me.
HAVE LOTS OF FUN!!!!!
SPOILER!!: Cadence Ballard
Basic Information Name: Cadence Hope Ballard Nicknames: Cady, Cad (but the only people who DON'T call her Cadence are Melanie and Nate) Gender: Female Year: 3rd (but she's supposed to be a 4th year... keep reading to find out!) Age: 14 Birthday: September 9 Magical Descent: Half-and-Half. Her dad was a Muggle and her mom was a witch. Family: The only family she has left are her grandparents on her mom's side. Relationship Status: In a relationship with Nate King.
History:
Cadence was in born in England, and spent most of her primary school years attending an all-girls boarding school on the countryside. Her parents loved her very much: her father was a muggle, and her mother was a witch. They felt that as she was growing up, it was important for her to experience life both as a Muggle and as a witch so that she could function in either world. Thus, while she attended a Muggle school until coming to Hogwarts.
While enrolled in Muggle school, she was very actively involved in both choir and the theatre program. She was more of an artsy child and never really cared for physical education or sports. That is something about her personality that hasn't changed.
When leaving her muggle school on holidays, Cadence was never quite sure where she would be taken by her parents. They traveled all-over the world participating in a peace-keeping organization. So, Cadence has seen a lot of the world, and yet she's experienced so little of it. Whenever they were not at their home in England, there were always adults keeping a close eye on Cadence so that no harm would come to her.
Eventually, her Hogwarts letter came, and she was ecstatic that she would finally be learning about magic! She came to Hogwarts at age 11 with wide eyes and a mind open to learning anything and everything. That all changed very quickly, however, when she received a letter from one of her parents' friends telling her that they had been killed. This was a devastating blow to Cadence; she had always been so incredibly close to her parents. She was daddy's little girl and mommy's little helper. With the help of her friend Melanie and her boyfriend Set, she managed to press forward, though she was unsure where she would be going after the school year ended. Before Cadence had even adjusted to this, though, her boyfriend Set was murdered in the library. Now all of Cadence's hope and faith and trust that the world was a good place was shattered. Days after his death, she became so disturbed and angry that she actually destroyed the Hufflepuff Common Room, not stopping until Mr. Masterson came in and grabbed her right as she passed out.
Cadence woke up weeks later in St. Mungo's not remembering anything about her life after Set's death. She didn't remember destroying the common room or Mr. Masterson's kind help. Nothing at all. After being awake for a couple days, her grandparents finally came to visit her. Cadence had never seen nor talked to these grandparents. These were her mother's parents, her father's having passed away before Cadence was 3, and they had wanted nothing to do with her mother after she had married Cadence's Muggle father. The Grogans were purebloods and felt that all wizards should carry on the pureblood tradition. They were not affectionate nor compassionate during their visits. On the contrary, they blamed Cadence's unbalanced behavior on her less-than-desirable breeding.
Nevertheless, when the time came for Cadence to leave St. Mungo's, her grandparents offered her room and board provided she stick to her room and stay quiet except at meal times. Most teenagers wouldn't mind so much living with their grandparents, but Cadence's grandparents had taken her in out of pity and because it would make them look bad to not take her; it had nothing to do with loving her. Eventually, Cadence was allowed to start school again, primarily in the form self-education. Once a week, a tutor would visit her and check over her work, and a therapist would come talk to her about how she was doing. For all of this, Cadence stayed in her room. After months of begging, Cadence finally got her grandparents to bring a dance instructor in twice a week. Cadence had convinced her therapist to tell her grandparents it would be good for her.
Those were the only times she was happy at her grandparents house, when she was dancing. When she was dancing, she could be free and let go of everything else in the world. Those four hours a week were wonderful.
Now, Cadence is back at Hogwarts, finally! She's struggled to adjust and sometimes acts in ways that even she doesn't understand. She has a tendency to overreact and be dramatic, but with what she's been through, who could blame her for her lack of social skills.
Personality: Sweet and good-natured. She hates making enemies. Loves to laugh and have a good time. Has a slight tendency to be dramatic and overreact (though she's getting better about it.) Doesn't like confrontation. She just wants to be liked and loved and to give her love to others. Cadence is also a very physical person and tends to use her body to assert her independence and freedom from her grandparents' strict lifestyle. This tendency also leads her to be a very physically affectionate person and makes it very difficult for her to mask her emotions because her body language will almost always give it away.

SPOILER!!: Melanie Faith Lockhart
Name: Melanie Faith Lockhart How do they fit in?: Best friend of Cadence Age: 14 Where is she from?: She grew up in New York, but was born in England Magical Heritage: Muggleborn House at Hogwarts and Year: Hufflepuff 4th Year Backstory:
Melanie was born in a small town in England, the same place where her parents met and married. She spent the first four years of her life there and it is where most of her relatives on her mother's side live. Her mom was only just getting out of college and kick-starting her career as a journalist when she had her. After a few years of struggling, a big city newspaper editor caught site of her column in another, community one and asked her to join their team, which Elizabeth Lockhart gladly obliged to. Though she was quite pleased with her new occupation, the woman got tired of that quickly, and wanted to move on to something more to her taste.
Television Broadcasting. After a riff with her mother, who disproved of her ever changing wishes and rash, spontaneous decisions, Elizabeth decided that with a new job should come a new home, away from her family, which meant a move. Her husband reluctantly agreed, under one condition, and left his job as a teacher, to go to America, where he was born. John Lockhart's condition was that they go to New York City, to live where he grew up.
And so they moved. Elizabeth secured a job, with the local news broadcasting network. John decided to start a Movie Rental shop, which was a struggled at first, but later brought in enough money to pay for itself, and then some. Within a few months the store was up and running, with Alec helping outon the side and Jpohn working as the manager. Melanie and her brother were both enrolled into Muggle School (Melanie after she was old enough).
Eventually they settled in, Melanie not so happily. She loved New York City, with all it's bright lights, tall buildings and it's man made beauty, but she missed her cousins and she wasn't exactly having a good time fitting in at her new school. She did make friends with a few children in her apartment... but she never really felt as if she truly fit in.
She was eight when it happened. It only socially isolated her even further, when her mom drowned on a trip she went on for a news report. Naturally, Melanie bawled her eyes out when it first happened, but, besides a fear of water, these days she won't show any emotion about it, or react extremely if it's brought up. She won't talk about her mom's death, usually, unless prompted to. It's obvious she hasn't forgotten her though. Melanie wears a piece of her mom's jewelry, a silver chain heart necklace, every day.
It helped her a little when she discovered a cat, which she dubbed Momo, running from a peeved butcher he'd apparently been stealing meat from. After seeing the way she interacted with the cat, smiling just a little and being a bit more boisterous- or at least as boisterous as an eight year old should be- her dad reluctantly let her adopt him, and she has taken care of him til' this day.
It was a few years afterward she showed her first signs of magical ability. She was having a nightmare, dreaming a tsunami was crashing down upon her, as she ran and ran. Melanie longed just get away, be somewhere safe from the danger that was clearly about to swallow her up.
And she woke up curled up in the dryer of the building she lived in, much to the annoyance, and amusement, of her neighbors, who were doing some morning laundry. Thankfully, the dryer wasn't running. A few weeks later she got a letter for Hogwarts, and apologies from her father when he realized that the whole ordeal was an accident, and that her seemingly unbelievable story about just 'appearing there' had been true after all.
She was absolutely thrilled when she got her letter. Melanie got sorted into Hufflepuff House. She's a happy fourth year now.
SPOILER!!: Torin Kane
Name: Torin Kristopher Kane Age: 16 DoB: May 23rd, 2054 Year: 6th Heritage: Muggleborn Pets: A dog named Sloth and a dog named Butter; a cat named Toast; an owl named Cat; Pygmy Puffs named Snap, Crackle and Pop; a tarantula named Baxters.
SPOILER!!: piccy
Hair: Brown and curly Eyes: Brown Skin: Tan Height: 6'4
Personality: Torin loves to socialize and meet new people. He also is rather impulsive, and can do silly things without thinking. But he also can be well behaved and polite. He's mostly just really bad with Reese Upstead, one of his best friends. He is loyal, and tries to be there for his friends, but he hates fighting; if his friends come to blows he will not be in he middle of it. He can be quite the flirt, but also sweet. And when he loves a girl, he really loves her.
Family: Torin has a twin sister named Dani (who is 8 minutes older than him), and a 5 year old sister, Cammy. His mum is a home maker, and his father a lawyer. Both of them being Muggles. He definitely gets along better with his mum than his dad. And he and his sister have a bit of a rivalry, but they still love each other dearly despite their different personalities.
As Nate began singing to her softly, she had to work her hardest to hide her smile because she knew he'd stop as soon as he realized she was awake. Listening to him sing made the words take on a whole new meaning to Cadence. This song was definitely about her and Nate. She had been so afraid to let herself fall, to let herself love him, but he had shown her that she didn't need to be afraid of anything with him. Still, there was one question nagging at the back of her mind. Was she going to be another Ella? Was he just going to love her until a new girl came along?
But this frequently prickling question was answered moments later as his whispers carried on them the sweetest words she had ever heard him say. Cadence couldn't continue to fain sleep after that, for tears of happiness had swum to her eyes. She looked up at him beaming as if he had just promised her the entire universe in a neatly wrapped present with a bow tied on top. "Do you mean that?" she said, her smile extending to her voice.
Nate blushed as soon as she looked up with her eyes full of tears. "Ummm...you were awake, weren't you?" he said wiping tears from her cheek with his thumb. "Why are you crying love? Did I do something wrong?" he said sitting up in the bed. He was worried that she would make him say it again. His tummy filled with butterflies as the reality of this situation set in.
Cadence nodded and giggled her sweet, innocent little giggle again. "mhm... I was." As he began wiping the tears from her her face, she reached up and grabbed ahold of his hand, stopping him. "No, you didn't say anything wrong. Quite the opposite, Sir Ignatius," she said with a slight smirk. It had been a long time since she had called him that. Months, in fact. Cadence lifted her head up and gave him one soft, slow kiss and then pulled away, just smiling again. She wouldn't ask him to say it again. She knew he must have meant it. What would have been the point of lying to a sleeping person? Looking into his eyes, she whispered, "I love you, too," before nestling her head back against his shoulder.
Then she spoke again, her voice somewhat muffled by the pillow. "I wish my parents could meet you. I know that they would love you and be so happy for us." Her voice contained a bit of, what was that? It wasn't sadness or bitterness. It was something closer to resolute acceptance and truthfulness. She knew her parents were gone and never coming back again, and at some point she had to begin talking about them again. And it was true, her parents would have loved Nate and welcomed him with arms wide open, especially once they saw how happy Nate made her. But would Cadence have ever met Nate if her parents were still alive? How different would her life be now if they hadn't disappeared? She shook these thoughts from her head. What ifs didn't matter. All she knew was that here, in Nate's arms, she felt happy and peaceful and protected and loved, and things were going to stay that way for as long as she could make it so.

It's the way you're smiling at me. It's in the way you hold my hand.
It's the way I've watched you change me from a boy into a man.
It's a million things about you, and I don't know what it is. I have never known a love like this.
Coming back inside Iris looked at Fallon. "Darling, would you do me a favor?" she asked with a smile as she remembered the trash needed taken out. She moved over to the sink and opened the cabinet below it. She pulled out a large trashcan liner. "Will you go through the house and put all of the trash in this?" she asked, though it was more of a command. "I'll finish up here. Don't forget that each room upstairs has a bathroom hooked onto it." Iris told Faith as she handed her the trashbag and gently pushed her towards the foyer.
She turned back and began humming again along with the radio. She began sorting through the cans again like she hadn't left her spot.
Fallon turned around as she heard Iris coming back into the kitchen. "Anything at all Miss Fitz Gerald." She smiled back and watched as Iris moved over to the sink. She could tell Iris wasn't asking her to do, she was telling her. "Of course. I won't forget Miss Fitz Gerald." She grabbed the bag from Iris and was quickly shoved into the foyer.
She let out a little huff. Fallon did not like being pushed around. She turned towards the main bathroom because that was the last place that she knew Patrick to be. When she got there, she was a little sad to find that he was already gone. She grabbed the garbage and headed upstairs. She went to where the first bathroom was. She grinned when she saw Patrick in there.
"Hey Pat." She walked passed him and over to the garbage can. "Just here to get the garbage." She smiled and walked passed him, heading on to the next room. She started humming a song to herself as she walked down the hall.
She opened the bedroom door and was shocked to see what she saw. It was Nate, one of her friends from Hogwarts. She grinned, but then realized he was in bed with someone else. She stepped into the room and said, "Is that you Nate?" She raised an eyebrow to show that she wasn't sure who it was.
Patrick was really not enjoying his job. He loved cats, but he couldn't stand cleaning up after them. He sat back on his feet. He was starting to get light-headed from leaning over to clean the box. He heard someone coming up the stairs and hoped it was Miss Fitz Gerald telling him he could take a break.
He turned towards the door and saw Fallon, carrying an empty garbage. Patrick was tempted to sarcastically answer her question, but she was gone before he got the chance. He let out a sigh and went back to cleaning.
Nate was laughing and wiping her tears as the door opened. It looked like...Fallon? Except she was blond. Nate's eyes widened as she said his name. He jumped out of the bed and walked over to her making squint-y faces along the way. "Fallon? Dude! Fal! Your hair!" he exclaimed making really no sense at all. He had pushed all the embarrassed meant from being in a bed with Cady to the back of his mind. "Why are you at my grandma's house at 9:30 holding a trash can?" Nate raised one eyebrow in confusion. "You live HERE? Like St. Augustine? I thought you were living in Miami! OMG! I missed you so much!" he said hugging her. She was blonde and she was here!

Cadence sat up abruptly as some BlondeGirl walked into the room... Who apparently knew who Nate was. For a moment or two, they all just stared at each other, and then Nate was walking toward her. Cadence wanted nothing more than to grab ahold of Nate and not let him go over there. To talk to BlondeGirl who, in Cadence's opinion, was prettier than she was. The green monster of jealous roared to life in Cadence's stomach as Nate HUGGED her. Apparently her name was Fallon. And apparently Nate hadn't expected her to be here. Was this some secret summer girlfriend whom Nate had never told Cadence about? Her whole body was tense and she just sat on the bed looking at the two them, a million irrational fears spinning through her head.
Finally, something clicked in her brain and she realized she should be mature about this situation, so she climbed out of bed, adjusting Nate's t-shirt, and walked over to stand next to him. She tucked her hair behind her ear with her right hand, Iris's ring, her first present from Nate, flickering in the dim light. Then she reached out to shake Fallon's hand. "Hello! I'm Cadence. Nate's girlfriend," she said with a genuine smile.

Fallon grinned so widely when Nate comfirmed that it was himself. "Thanks for noticing. I was told I had to bleach it before I could be brunette again and I just decided to stick with the blonde."She hugged him back. She was really glad to see one of her old friends. "She's your grandmother?! My mother just told me to come over and help around the house." She had no idea that Iris even had grandchildren. She blushed a little at her embarassment. "I may have fibbed a little about that. I didn't think anyone would know where this place was."
She had really missed Nate and she wanted to just sit and catch up. Then she remembered Patrick in the other room and the girl that was in the bed with Nate. Fallon smiled at the girl as she put her hand out to shake. She really didn't seem to be too happy that Fallon knew Nate. "Fallon McCarthy. I used to go to Hogwarts. Nate was one of my closest friends last year before I had to move," she said as she shook Cadence's hand. She hoped Patrick would take a little while longer because she really didn't want to explain that while she was catching up with Nate.

"Yeah. She isn't very neighborly. I can't wait to hang out with you this winter! Oh! I'm so sorry. Cadence, Fallon. Fallon, Cadence." he said using arm gestures because he was so excited. He held Cadence's hand and smiled at his two favorite people. "So how have you been, Fal?" he said trying to keep conversation.

Cadence nodded politely as Fallon explained how she knew Nate. Giving a slightly amused look up at Nate, she said, "Funny... Nate never mentioned you," and gave a small laugh. Would Fallon be friends with her? Was this going to work out? Cadence wasn't quite sure yet, but when Nate grabbed ahold of her hand, she felt exceedingly more comfortable. For a moment, she thought about starting small talk with Fallon, wanting to ask her where the closest mall was, but before she could, Nate and Fallon had started a conversation.
Deciding to not interrupt on them getting caught up, she just stood by silently with her hand in Nate's with a pleasant expression on her face. She was determined to be friends with Fallon. If Nate was close with her, then Cadence should try to be close with her. Hopefully Fallon would like Cadence. She was sooooo over people not liking her for no reason.
As Nate and Fallon began to get caught up, the lack of sleep she had had the past few days began to overcome her, and she sleepily walked back to the bed and laid down. Listening to the waves hitting the shore and Nate's voice as he spoke to Fallon, Cadence slowly drifted off to sleep in the nice, comfy CloudBed.

Nate talked with Fallon for a little while before noticing Cadence had left to go sleep. "Ummm...hey, we stayed up all last night flying so we are exhausted. See you tomorrow?" he said ushering her out. He carried the asleep Cadence into her room and kissed her forehead after he laid a blanket over her. "Night sweetheart." he whispered before going back to his room through the bathroom. He felt so luck to be here with his two favorite girls. He climbed into bed and read his Muggle Studies textbook. He read for half an hour or so before reaching over and turning out his light. He closed the balcony door but opened one of the blinds. He laid in his bed thinking about all the fun they would have in Florida the next couple weeks. He finally fell asleep while staring at the huge glorious moon.

Cadence stirred slightly as she felt Nate pick her up, but she didn't open her eyes. When he kissed her forehead, she smiled and said, "Love you..." through her groggy haze. Cadence slept peacefully that night, slipping in and out of odd dreams about Nate and her parents and people whose faces she had seen but whose names she didn't know. When she woke up, she could see the sunshine attempting to stream through the curtains and she sat up abruptly. Where was she? How had she gotten here? Vaguely, she recalled falling asleep, but not in this room. Someone must have carried her in here. Standing up, she opened a door, finding it was the bathroom. Deciding she should take a shower, she shut the door and grabbed a towel. After starting the water and getting undressed, she got in. The water was soothingly warm, and as her mind woke up, she remembered what had happened the night before and just smiled.
After showering, she climbed out and wrapped a towel around herself. She walked back to her room to get her toothpaste and toothbrush wondering if Nate was up yet. Deciding she'd go find him after she was ready, she walked back into the bathroom to brush her teeth.

Nate rolled over into his side as he felt the warmth of the sun radiate on his back. He heard the shower turn on so he fell back asleep waiting for it to turn off again. He heard it turn off and a door close inside it. He got up and ran a hand threw his morning hair as he knocked on the door. Not hearing a response he opened the door and took off his shirt. He closed the door and took a shower. When he turned off the water Cadence was brushing her teeth. He stuck an arm out and quickly grabbed a towel without showing anything more then his left arm. He wrapped it around his waist and went into his room without anything more than, "Morning."

Cadence shrieked and gave a little jump as she saw Nate get out of the shower. This was a bit uncomfortable. Tooth brush just sitting in her mouth, she held tightly to her towel and looked at him with wide eyes. She hadn't even known he was in the shower. As left with a grumble of morning, she gave him a little wave and then took the toothbrush out of her mouth and spit out the toothpaste, laughing. After rinsing her mouth she walked over to Nate's door and said, "Hey, Nate, what are we doing today? I need to know what to wear?"

Nate was not in the mood to think. He just wanted to get dressed then figure that our. "Probably just a walk around town and hanging at a park. I'm wearing skinny jeans and a v-neck but then again I wear that regardless of the situation." he grumbled pulling things out of his bag. He got dressed in his favorite jeans and a gray v-neck. Nate knocked lightly on the door before going in to brush his hair. He ran a little bit of gel through it to make it smooth but not noticeable. He brushed his teeth because he wasn't really in the mood for breakfast.
"Hey Cady? Do you want breakfast?" he said threw the door after brushing his teeth. He went into his room and put on his old van's that he grabbed from home. He stood up and began cleaning up his room a little waiting for her to be ready.

Okaaaaay. Nate was obviously not a morning person. Cadence would have to remember that. "Okay..." she replied, a bit unsure as she left the bathroom to get dressed. "A lot of help he was," she mumbled with a smile. Even when he was grumpy, he was still cute. Cadence unzipped her suitcase and began laying the clothes out on her bed. She needed to put them away, but she would do that later. Finally, she settled on a short, white summer dress.
Going through yet another bag, she began picking out color-coordinated accessories. How was she feeling today? Yellow. She put in yellow earrings and adorned herself with the matching necklace, bracelets, and an anklet. She pulled a yellow ribbon out of her accessories bag and tied it in a pretty bow around the middle of her dress. Then she slipped on her yellow flip-flops right as Nate was talking to her through the door. "No, I'm fine." she replied.
After styling her hair and applying a minimal amount of makeup, she looked in the mirror one last time. White did not look very good on a body that needed a tan. Going to her bedside table, she picked up her wand and walked back over to the mirror. Pointing it at her skin, she muttered a spell to make herself tan as she ran the wand up and down various parts of her body. Much better.
Cadence walked through the bathroom. Nate's door was open now, so she assumed that meant it was okay to go in. She walked inside his room and saw him cleaning. Giggling slightly, she asked, "Do you want me to help? I sort of made that mess..."

Nate looked up when she walked in his room. She was tanner than 10 minutes ago but he didn't say anything. "I like your dress. It makes me want to brag about you." he said stuffing shirts into his large suitcase. "How did you 'sort of' make this mess?" Nate picked up a pair of pants and threw them into the suitcase. Nate looked around and decided it was good enough. "You want to go now? We can go to the park at the beach and eat on the boardwalk for lunch. Or we could go to the movies or..." he just kept spitting out ideas because he really wanted to get out of this house. They had only been there for three days but had not left except to get the Christmas tree.

Cadence blushed and bit her lip, looking at the ground. Playing with her hair, she replied quietly, "I'm... not anything to brag about." As he continued picking up the mess, Cadence picked up a few things off the floor and handed them to him. "Well, last night, when I locked you out, I might have maybe stolen one of your t-shirts. I was wearing it, but I think you were... um... a bit... distracted," Cadence said with a giggle, remembering what had happened in the hot tub the night before. After Nate had obviously given up on picking, Cadence asked him, "Can I give you a kiss good morning now, or are you still to sleepy?" Walking over to him, she grabbed ahold of his hand. Cadence didn't care what they did, really, as long as she was with him. That's what this vacation was about: having fun with her Nateypoo.
"Oh, I don't care really. Hmm... well, it's really pretty outside, so let's not go to the movies. Let's save that for when it isn't sunny and 75 outside. The beach, maybe? Eating on the boardwalk and all of that sounds really nice, if that's what you want to do?" she replied with a smile. Today, she just wanted to make Nate happy. He spent so much time making her happy and doing nice things for her. He deserved to be able to do what he wanted to do, too.

"You are too something to brag about. I noticed that. You can keep it, it is my old soccer shirt." he said holding her hand. "Sure. I love those the most." Nate laughed a little before kissing her for a few seconds. "How about we go to the beach and eat on the boardwalk then take a stroll down town this afternoon?" he said pondering weather to get his swimsuit out. "But I don't want to swim today. How about we go into town this morning and check out the farmer's market? Then we can decided from there." Nate said opening the door to go into the hallway. He lead her downstairs to Iris.
"Iris? Can we go the farmer's market? Do you need anything?" he said holding Cady's hand in his.

"That sounds absolutely perfect," she said, kissing him on the cheek. She followed him out of the room and down the stairs. "What's a farmer's market?" she asked as they made their way toward Iris. It sounded to Cadence like someplace that farmers went to buy things, so she didn't understand why Nate thought they needed to go there, but maybe that wasn't what it really meant. When they finally find Iris, Cadence waved at her and said, "Good morning, Iris! Did you have a good evening?" Then she just stood there, holding Nate's hand and waiting for Iris's answer. Cadence couldn't possibly ever feel any happier than she did right now, right here with Nate.

"A farmer's market is a place where farmer's and other local's sell their products in a big street festival thing. It's fun." he said walking down stairs. Nate wanted to get organic ice cream from Julie, the single mother who had an adorable ice cream store set in the 1950's. Then he would buy her a scarf that Shivani made with Indian silk. Then he hoped Micheal would let her pet his parrots. And he hoped the parrots didn't embarrass him.
Iris jumped up from the chair she was sitting in, she had dozed off reading the morning paper she had went out to get a few minutes earlier in her camouflage pajama tops and bottoms, with a very bright orange robe wrapped around her small body; curlers in the crazy red hair. The whole reason for being jumped awake was the beeping of the kitchen timer going off on the island, signaling that her homemade cinnamon rolls where done in the oven. Iris smiled as she got up from her chair and rushed over to shut the timer off before putting on oven mittens to take the large pan out of the oven. "Good morning dolls!" she hummed happily as she began to ice the cinnamon rolls.

It would seem that Iris had been and sleep and not heard Nate's question. Were they going to get wrapped into doing something sill again. A though occurred to Cadence that Iris might make them decorate the Christmas try, and as badly as she wanted to groan at that idea, she didn't. She looked all cute, and she just wanted to go hang out on the beach with Nate. THAT was what she had come here for: to be with Nate and have fun and forget about all the drama at school. Nevertheless, she knew she needed to be polite and gracious as Iris HAD let Cadence into her home for the holidays. And then she smelled them. Something delicous. Taking a big whiff, her eyes widened and she smiled at Iris. "Good morning, Mrs. Fitz Gerald. Something smells amazing!"
What is that heavenly sent wafting from the kitchen?!

Iris smiled as she spread the icing around on the cinnamon rolls, she moved her hips to the rhythm of a song that was playing on the radio. She looked up at Candy. "Well, since you're the lucky wife of Nathanial, I guess I'll be passing along the family recipe soon." Iris told her, she was rather picky who got that recipe. She had barely even given it to her own daughter, she was just saying this be nice. They were married after all, right?
"Now onto the eggs!" Iris belted out as she set her dirty utensils in the large sink to wash later. She pulled a skillet out of a cupboard from the island and placed it on the stove then moving towards the refrigerator, one of her favorite muggle appliances, it was quite useful. She pulled out a dozen eggs, "You think we could eat a dozen between the three of us?" she asked to Candy as she began cracking them all into a large bowl.

"all my shoes have mysteriously disappeared.
I suspect nargles are behind it."
Nate smiled at Iris pulling cinnamon rolls out of the oven. Maybe I am hungry, he thought to himself. "How soon can I have one of those? They look great." His stomach grumbled as his mouth drooled.

Nate looked over at Cadence and smiled. He held her hand sighed. He couldn't wait to hang out all this vacation. Maybe they would go to Disney this weekend. He wondered how many things they could fit into their break. It seemed like yesterday lasted forever. But that was okay because so many wonderful things had happened.

"Umm...Iris? We aren't married. We are just dating..." he said laughing a little. "I don't think we could each eat 4 eggs. Maybe for lunch? Egg salad sandwiches you make?" Nate smiled at reminisced about the old days when he would play soccer with his little friends all day then come home and eat egg salad sandwiches.

Iris continued to fix the entire carton of eggs even though she heard Nathaniel's concerns about not eating them all. They'd figure something out to do with them. "You boy, can just hold on a few more minutes. And while you're waiting you can set the table." Iris told him pointing to the plate drawer.
"When I was your age, my husband and I were pratically already married. We had one of those arranged things." Iris told them as she moved about the kitchen.
"Oh dear! I still have curlers in!" Iris exclaimed, "Oh well, I'm too busy now." She told Candy. "I'll take care of it later." she told her before gettinga serving bowl down to but the scrambled eggs in. "And yes Nathaniel, I'll fix those sandwiches for lunch. You'll have to pick me up some more eggs though." Iris told him.

Cadence just stood there smiling at Iris politely. Oooookay..... awkward turtle much? She rocked back and forth between her toes and heels. When Iris she was going to make a dozen eggs, Cadence's eyes widened. She would be lucky to eat ONE of those cinnamon rolls, let alone one of those and 4 eggs. Goodness. And when Iris realized she still had curlers in, Cadence struggled to stifle her giggle. She had thought Iris had done it on purpose. Egg salad? Cadence made a slight face. Hopefully they'd be having something else, too. Egg salad was NOT her thing. And Iris still hadn't answered whether or not they could go anywhere. Well, she supposed Iris had just said they'd have to pick up more eggs, so she assumed that meant they were allowed to leave. When Iris wasn't listening, Cadence whispered to Nate, "I thought we were eating lunch on the boardwalk."
