| | The Vow If you are present here today at the (Muggle) Dorchester Hotel you are here for a very special occasion: the wedding of F. Wesley Logan Ferguson and Isobel Maria Montague. The date is the eighteenth of December 2077. As the season is winter, the hotel grounds are lined with pretty snow, so hopefully you have dressed appropriately. Luckily, the wedding is happening inside the hotel, meaning the guests won’t get too cold.
Upon entering the hotel, the guests are directed into a large room where the ceremony will be taking place. It is clear that wedding has been planned down to every last detail. Lilac flowers are tastefully tied to the chairs directly next to the aisle, whilst golden rose petals have been scattered along the aisle. Soft music is playing, seeming to come out of know where beneath the quiet chatter of the guests.
As many of the guests are friends with both the bride and groom, there is no need to worry about picking the right side to sit on; just take a seat and enjoy the ceremony. The first two rows are reserved for the bridal party and the parents of both the bride and groom. Apart from these rows you are free to sit anywhere. It’s not long before Wesley arrives and settles in the front of the room with his best man Evander Bole and the rest of his groomsmen. This can only mean one thing: the ceremony is about to begin.
The soft music now changes into the bridal march, signalling the arrival of the bride.
Bridal Party
Groom - Wesley Ferguson (BanaBatGirl)
Best Man - Evander Bole (Tegz)
Groomsman - Jaxton Tanner (Tiro MacMhuirich)
Groomsman - Gabe Vartann (MeredithRodneyMcKay) Bride - Isobel Montague (Rachieru)

Bridesmaid - Alysson Zookara (Lislchen)
Bridesmaid - Althea Schirmer (Tegz)

Flower girl Lady - Emily Browne (Hera)

| *sneaks back in* :P Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict Dorian was half-tempted to figure out whoever had fixed the minister's speech impediment and congratulate them on a job well done. It had saved him from having to truly worry about losing the control he'd had over his amusement and interrupting the lovely wedding that he assumed Isobel had had more of a hand in than Wes. The lovely wedding ceremony that was now complete, meaning it was time for mingling. Something he'd much rather not do, even if most of his ennui over thinking about Gwendolyn and his own wedding that had never gotten to happen had been pushed back by the hilarity that had been the unfortunate accent. Some of that had come back now, though, so he'd lapsed back into his now-normal quiet demeanor. At least it had helped make it easier for him to maneuver himself through the groups that had started filtering into the reception and find a table to sit at.
Hopefully the food would arrive soon, or more accurately the drinks. He imagined the odds of Wes having espresso there were slim, but maybe there would be some firewhiskey. There were enough MLE employees there that he imagined it would be amiss not to have something, especially as he'd glanced around to see that for the most part the MLEers were all spread out and sitting alone like himself. Besides Jaxton, over with Ali and a few others, and Bennett, Carter and a young lady who he imagined was Carter's escort for the night. Mysteries, I think, he thought idly, turning to watch Wes and Isobel at the table for the bridal party. Who seemed to be eyeing the buffet table, which had thankfully looked to be being filled. At least eating was an excuse, but he figured the bride and groom deserved first crack.

"Yes." She nodded with a smile. Because well she figured that he would like to eat. Wesley did rather like his food. Wes thought he saw Dorian eying the food too, so he figured they'd better get a move on if they were going to something better than scraps. Scooting his chair back, Wes got up to help Izzy out of her chair too. Merlin was that dress poofy. Had he known what she had picked out for herself, he would have tried to talk her out of it.
Still, she was his radiant pride, and he was quite proud of her and proud of their wedding day, so he didn't even complain as he led Izzy to the buffet. "Ladies first, love," Wes gestured for Iz to take a plate.

Having her fingers on his lips were better. Hehe. Willy couldn't help but give Aly's fingers a tiny kiss before his mouth curved up into a smirk. "She wouldn't kill meeee," he drawled in a lazy whisper, also shooting a glance the bride's way. "I'm way too good looking!"
Her husband, on the other hand, might just be a killer. He looked like one. Lookithim, all big and tough and... man-y.
But anyway, back to Aly. He also glanced down at her dress again and once more blushed at the thoughts going through his mind. "Um. Gosh. Thanks." Willy sorta shoved his hands into his pockets since he didn't know what to do with them now. "Spare a dance for your handsome date later?" He gave her a hopeful smile. Oh. Alysson giggled and felt her cheeks flush with color - AGAIN! - when she felt him kiss her fingers lightly. Right before she lowered her hand she traced his bottom lip, her eyes following her fingers' path. Feeling them against her fingers reminded her of the way-
Huh, what?!
Blinking a couple of times as if somebody had just pulled her out of a trance, Alysson quickly lowered her hand again, pretending that her thoughts hadn't just drifted off. "Right." What she'd just agreed to she wasn't entirely sure but she added a smile for good measure. You could never go wrong with a smile.
ANYWAY, back to...right, what had they been talking about? Oh, her dress. And him. And how handsome he looked today. Well, not only today but you know. The blush on his cheeks did not go unnoticed and it made her grin slightly. He looked quite cute like that.
Plus it was somewhat amusing to find out what made him blush. Heh.
A dance? Alysson somehow managed NOT to giggle like a 15-year-old girl when he said the word 'date'. It really wasn't that big of a deal after all. It didn't really MEAN anything. Did it? But she could worry about that later. After...well, later. When she was alone. "Are you any good at dancing?" She grinned up at him with a wink, clearly not entirely serious.
She would dance with him either way. |

She was starting to regret this dress, as she was pretty sure that she was going to end up falling over. That would not be good. "Thanks love." She smiled, slipping her hand into his. This was turning out to be one of the best days of her life. Wesley had given her the best two years of her life really.
Mmm. Food though. "It looks good...." She mused with a smile, taking a plate. Maybe she should've let a little more room in this dress so that she'd have room to eat more. Oh well. Too late now.

She would dance with him either way. Was Willy good at dancing? Did mermaids fly? Were diricrawls extinct? No, no, and no.
"Honestly?" he answered her in what seemed at first like a roundabout way, but then grew blunter, "I am probably the worst dancer you'll ever meet." He had two left feet and was tall and gangly and awkward as all get out. "But I make a really good effort?"
Willy smiled anyway and hoped she'd still agree to a dance. Quote:

Should taste good as well. They'd certainly paid enough for it.

Willy smiled anyway and hoped she'd still agree to a dance. Alysson tried to keep up the act of actually waiting for an answer from him before in turn agreeing - or disagreeing - to dance with him. In reality it really didn't matter to her. It wasn't even her wedding so people would be looking at the bride anyway.
And even if it had been her wedding she wouldn't have cared either.
Not that she was thinking about that. At all.
Anyway, back to William's answer. The way he'd started to reply was already sort of a giveaway as to what his final answer would be. Worst dancer she would ever meet? Aw, she couldn't quite believe that. She looked him up and down for a moment with a small amused grin playing around her lips. "Oh well, I guess I can still dance with you...since you make such a good effort and all." And for other reasons too.
But no dancing just yet. Sooo...glancing around the room for a moment, Aly spotted the bride and groom over by the buffet. "Are you hungry?" She hadn't really eaten anything all day, being way too nervous about the wedding, and now that she was slowly relaxing a little she could feel her stomach demanding food. |

Even WITH his admission of failure to dance, Aly STILL wanted to dance with him. Maybe she was secretly a good dancer who could dance circles around him without embarrassing either of them. Maybe.
"Hehe," Willy let a little chuckle escape his lips, slowly tearing his gaze away from her to look at the buffet. "Hungry? I'm ALWAYS hungry." She probably knew that. "Let's eat, if we're allowed." Which it looked like they were allowed, since other guests were in line and all.
William gestured for Alysson to go first.
