As we all know by now, J.K Rowling wrote the fantastic Harry Potter series.
I got some of my inspiration from the book "Mrs Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children".
She watched as the children walked down the grey, cobblestone path that led to the future. Ms Verecent dabbed her eyes and waved to them solemnly as a new herd of young Peculiars raced into the Home. After a few minutes, when the old children were merely dots on the road, she turned to take care of the new children that had come to Ms Verecent's Home for Peculiar Children.
The children were happy that they were getting out of the time loop that kept them forever young and childish, but they were afraid to see what would happen outside. People might recognize them, even after fifty years. They walked hand in hand, to the invisible line they knew was there. Then the children crossed, and saw a busy street where their Orphanage used to be. The youngest one, Olivia, burst into tears.
It has been two years since the Peculiars left the Orphanage that had been standing fifty-two years ago. Now it is demolished, but stays strong in the time loop. Since then the children lived in a shabby hotel, fending for themselves with their powers and skill. Then, one day, they all got a letter that accepted them into Hogwarts school. Overjoyed, the children left for the Magical boarding school, never thinking that somebody could suspect them of being Peculiars, even though they had waited until all of Britain had forgotten about them.

Students are coloured according to their houses. All the Suspicious Students are fourteen. You have two days to post your bio, and then that character slot is open again.
SPOILER!!: Things You NEED To Know!
Alexandria Bloom can make fire in her hands, and walk through fire without getting burnt. She is the oldest of the Peculiars, being fifteen.
Vivienne can become invisible, but her clothes aren't invisible. She is fourteen.
Kiera is a mermaid, but only when her feet get wet. She is fourteen years old.
Victor Priestley looks normal enough - they all do - but he can lift anything from a feather to a house. And all at the age of thirteen!
Olivia can fly, but she hasn't learned to control herself yet. So she wears shoes with lead soles. Being the youngest, she is eleven.

But I Set Fire To The Rain
When Alexandria was little, she toured with her family in a circus. The act they did was called Bloomin' Magic! and featured the whole family. Her mother would first fly around the tent and hover above the audience, while her father did simple magic spells like dissapearing hats and turning brown hair purple. Then Alexandria would come out, making fire on her hands and dancing around. As the grand finale, Alex would walk through a large mass of fire while her father made himself dissapear, as well as her mother. They made quite a living out of that, but her father died when an elephant got loose. Her mother couldn't hide Alexandria's powers like Alex's father did (wiped their memories) so she left her daughter to the same secret school for Peculiars that she went to.

"I'm a witch!" she mumbled, skimming through the rest of the letter, which included the information that she'd be a fourth-year. She glanced up at Alex, her brain finally catching up. "You think it's a hoax?" she asked bluntly. "A trick to get us out in the open? Or is this legit?"

Olivia Quirk you are hearby accepted to Hogwarts School for witchcraft and Wizardry... and then listed some other stuff, it was in the same perfect cursive that was on the front. She was still reading and she hadnt noticed she was beggining to float...
"I say we trust this... it seems authentic." Alexandria found a pen that wrote in red ink, and signed her name at the bottom of the contract. She turned to Olivia to ask for her signature, and noticed Liv was levitating. Alex wearily put a firm hand on her sibling's shoulder, weighing her down. "Here, you can sign with just an O and a Q." She said, passing the paper to Olivia.

She looked over at Viv and said Me too! She finished reading and said Well theres a number here, saying to call... Holding out a piece of paper that said Minerva McGonagall, Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts, and under it was the number...
Alexandria smiled. "I suppose you'd just become a mermaid full-time." She suggested, peering at the detail under Minerva's name that she had neglected. "I guess we should call it, just to make sure it's not a hoax." Alex agreed.

He seemed to latch onto the same thought as Viv, "I know we've got our powers and everything, but is that really magic?" he asked the group, Kiera could turn into a mermaid which was meant to be a magical creature so maybe... "This seems to good to be true!" he said.
Alexandria gave an involuntary giggle. Viv, Kiera and Victor had all stated their wizardry/witchcraft, and yet Liv and Alex knew it went without saying. This would not be funny to her in a normal situation, but under stress it was hilarious. "I don't know. Maybe they could give us different classes or just shelter. We know we need it - what with Kiera's midnight dips, Olivia's tendency to fly if she runs, and Victor's many damages to the walls of his room - it's a wonder we've been hidden this long." She said, finally voicing the worries that had been cooped up inside her for years. "Let's call the number." Alex said in a voice that was too confident for how she felt.
She punched in the numerals, and was met with the croaky yet authoritative voice of a woman who was clearly busy. "Uh, hi. This is Alex Bloom." Alexandria introduced herself, at least not giving her full name. The woman's begrudging voice turned quite bright at this, as if she had been waiting by the telephone all day. "Okay, thank you. I'll tell them. Bye." She hung up, smiling knowingly. "That was Proffesor McGonagall. She said it was all true! We can get to Hogwarts tomorrow, with our stuff already there!" Alex squealed, passing the contract around for everybody to sign. Things were finally looking up!

Viv's insides went cold as she read more of the letter. Victor's words rang in her mind. "Yeah, too good to be true," she said bitterly. "Which means it probably is." Her voice broke slightly on the last word, and she flung the letter down onto the table, stalking out of the kitchen to the girls' room, not even hearing Alex's phone conversation. She slipped through the open window, slamming it shut behind her, and climbing to the roof. It had been raining, and the tiles were wet and slippery. Viv didn't realise how slippery until she tried to go on them, and felt herself sliding down the roof.
She cried out, fumbling for a non-existent handhold as she slid down, then screaming as she fell. She shut her eyes, wishing for a few crazy moments that she was Liv with her flying powers. Her life flashed before her eyes - the circus; Madame Mimi, the elderly psychic who'd looked after her as a young child; Ms Verecent finding her and taking her to the Home; all those years of being the oddball; leaving the orphanage. Throughout all, she'd been as surly and closed off as she was now. Looking back, Viv realised she probably should have been nicer.
Just before she hit the ground - did dying hurt? She was about to find out - Viv felt herself stop. Just stop. She hung in midair, too shocked to even scream anymore, staring at the gravel where she would have become a pancake.
Victor was reading through his letter as Viv left the room, nobody else had seemed to notice she had gone. He crept out of the room and dashed upstairs to see the figure of Vivienne slip off the roof, "Viv no!" he yelled, as she fell. He thought quickly, and the only thing he could think of was jumping out to save her. He took a short run and dived through the window, landing slightly further than he wanted, his feet easily absorbed the shock of his landing but left a big crack in the gravel underneath him.
He could tell he was too late, he couldn't force himself around to look at Viv, "Im so sorry -" he was saying when he decided to turn himself around, but he was cut short when he saw Vivienne floating off of the ground. "You can fly as well? That's not fair!" he complianed, "Or this is some kind of magic..." he thought aloud.

Viv looked up, but as soon as she did the magic seemed to fail, and she fell on the ground. She groaned, standing up but immediately feeling dizzy and have to use Victor for quick support. Other than the momentary dizziness, though, she was perfectly fine.
"You really just jumped off a building?" she asked when she'd regained the power of speech that she'd momentarily lost, glancing up at Victor with raised eyebrows. Vivienne had always been on the short side, so despite the fact that they were the same age, he was taller than her by a few centimetres. "Thanks," she said quietly, before she could catch herself. Probably the nicest Viv had ever been. "I guess it's true, then. The thing about being magic."

Victor looked at his sister with concern, making sure she was okay and making sure she didn't fall. He looked up at the building he'd just jumped out of, "Yes, I suppose I just did..." he laughed slightly, "Ive always been able jump far and land without it hurting me, I just thought it was part of my powers really." he shrugged.
Woah! Was that a thanks? Victor couldn't hide the surprised look on his face when Viv thanked him. "No problem," he smiled, looking down at her. "Now we are leaving this place, do you reckon Alex would let me knock it down?" he asked innocently.

He'd always been able to do that? Wow. Now Viv couldn't tell the difference between what was down to their special powers, and what was just because they were magic. Wait a second. Her insides grew cold. What if her ability to become invisible was common in the wizarding world? What if she wasn't all that peculiar after all? What if she was ... normal? What if they all were? Viv hated to admit it, but she'd always liked to think she was special in some way. Different. Not the norm. Was it really that abnormal now though?
Well, Victor seemed surprised about her sudden thank you, and that made her have misgivings about it. Viv stepped back from him, hunching her shoulders again, letting her hair swing forward to hide her blushing face. Being nice wasn't going to help her - she'd learnt that the hard way. Being nice got you taken advantage of. Being nice was a weakness. She remembered her fleeting realisation while she was falling, and quickly squashed it. But she couldn't help a smile escaping as she thought of Victor knocking down their room. "Who says we have to ask? I'd say it was an accident, if you let me have a piece of it." She was so ready to leave this dump behind.

Victor felt bad as Vivienne moved away from him, "Hey Viv I'm sorry," he said, she'd had a worse past than he had and it had effected her in a bad way. He'd have to ease up on her a bit more. He laughed, "I think you could take a piece of the foundations once it's gone," he smiled, moving towards the building. He looked up at it, thinking of everything they'd done ther and how it was now time to move on from it. He flicked at it, a flick that contained as much power as a bulldozer, making the building shake dangorously. He turned to Viv, "I could easily make it look like an accident, but I think it would be best if I didn't reduce it to dust whilst our sisters our inside?" he smirked.

Olivia jumped up with happiness as Viv left, Yay, were going to Hogwarts! She then began to start dancing around the room as Victor, which made her fly to the cieling, she layed down on the cieling and looked down and said Im going to try to stay flying so I dont fall down, but can YOU ALL HELP ME!!! She said trying to find something to hold onto on the cieling but there was nothing to hold on to! HELP!!I dont want to FALL! Olivia was being very dramatic, but it was true, she didnt want to fall down on her face.

Viv didn't say anything when Victor apologised to her. She considered saying something nice like 'you don't have to apologise, it's not your fault I screwed up in life', but found she just couldn't do it. But she smiled when he shook the building. "Ha, probably not. Alex would come back from the dead to haunt you forever." She grinned at him, then heard Liv's shrieks from inside. She rolled her eyes. "Uh-oh, the Mouse is squeaking. Must be a cat around."

Victor grinned at Viv, "We can't have the burden of a fire-weilding Alex ghost can we?" he laughed slightly, before jumping at the scream from the inside of the house. "Hmm, yes." he considered, "I think we'd better go inside and see what's wrong with mouse" he shook his head at that ridiculous nickname that belonged to Liv.
Kiera burst out laughing at Liv and said Hows the weather up there? She started to crack up even more, and started to have a hard time breathing, she stood up to make it seem like she was going to help her but she didnt she walked to get a glass of water and then sit back down, she was thirsty and she liked the show that little Liv the Mouse was giving...

OOC: Okay, I've notice that GinevraWeasley hasn't been online for almost a month now, so I've decided to take matters into my own hands and move this RP along myself, since I like it and want it to blossom into the beautiful flower it has the potential to be (metaphorically speaking). So we'll skip the train, et cetera, and move on to Hogwarts
For once, Viv did not stay up to ungodly hours of the morning on a rooftop. She slept the whole night in a comfy four-poster bed in the Gryffindor girls' dorm, and woke up actually feeling rested. She got up as quietly as she could and got dressed, trying not to wake the other girls. She slipped out of Gryffindor tower and made her way through the maze of castle until she finally ended up at the huge oak front doors. She finally relaxed, running down to the lake and sitting down on the dewey grass, soaking in the early morning sunshine and thinking about the previous day.
Getting to Kings Cross had been no trouble, but they'd been scolded by a conductor when they asked for directions to Platform Nine and Three-Quarters. Luckily a helpful woman (wearing a old assortment of clothing including a pair of fluffy white bunny slippers and puce hat topped with a crow) gave them better directions to the platform. The train ride had been mostly uneventful, except if you counted their introduction to some wizarding sweets.
The Sorting ... now that had been nerve-wrecking. Alex, Kiera, Victor and Viv had been asked to stand to the side while the first-years (including little Olivia) were Sorted into different houses. As soon as Liv was Sorted into Gryffindor, Viv wanted, needed to be too. The aching need just got worse as Alex was Sorted into Gryffindor too. When "Continent, Vivienne!" was called, she'd almost forgot it was her name, and stumbled up to the stool only when the teacher (what was her name?! Two seconds and she'd already forgotten!) looked around at her. The Sorting Hat had fit snuggly over her ears, half obscuring the others in the hall. Then a voice whispered in her ear.
"Fearless, sharp-witted, can be cold, but is basically a good heart ..." The voice had come from the Hat! "Oh, you're a tricky one. You'd fit well into Slytherin, but ..."
"Please," Viv had thought desperately. "Please, for the love of all things good in this world, let me be in Gryffindor!"
Finally, after five whole minutes of debating, the Hat had come to its decision - Gryffindor. Viv had yanked it off her head and sprinted down to the Gryffindor table.
Now, sitting on the grass beside the lake, Viv had to wonder if they'd made the right choice in coming here. What if someone did find them out? What if they were captured and killed, like what had happened in the past? She drew her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around them, rocking gently back and forth, biting her lip worriedly.

Liv woke up a bit scared, it took a minute to register where they all were! But as soon as Liv remembered she stoped being scared and looked around, it was new here but she liked it. Their journey here, was long it took them forever for someone to find them, and now they were here at this magic school.
Finding the train was a real mystery they had gotten scolded quite a few times from the conductor, but then a strange woman helped them-you could tell she was magical just by her attire, no one dressed that way if they didnt have a reason or they were just creepy or homeless. The train was fun, while everyone was busy gorging their faces with sweets, she went and explored the train taking some sweets with her of course, by the time she had gotten back they had just noticed that she had gone, she played it off of course by saying she was standing by the door the whole time. The sorting was fun, though it took them forever to call Olivia Quirk! After many Lucys and Bobs, they had finally gotten to her, she casted a glance at her family before siting on the chair. She had taken a deep breath before placing the hat on her head and waited for its final thought. It had spoken many things like Child at heart, do I sense a shy one, plenty of heart thats for sure, a bit bossy but knows her stuff. You would be great in Hufflepuff...Even Ravenclaw...But it better be GRYFFINDOR!!...
When she finally got out of bed, she saw that Viv was no longer there. She looked out her window and saw that she was by that lake where she was told a monster lived!! She slipped on her slippers and ran walked down to the lake when she got there, she polped down next to Viv and said Hi Viv, mind if I join you? Looking at the monster waters once more before looking back at Viv.

Abraham was back at Hogwarts for his 4th year and he could not be happier. He sat at the Ravenclaw table and watched as the sorting began. He noticed there were quite a few older students in the lineup for sorting. Usually there was just one, maybe 2 older students that arrive late. But something seemed off to him with so many older newbies at Hogwarts. He definately wanted to talk to them late and hopefully figure out what s up. Thus far none of them made Ravenclaw so thats that. He just watched as the sorting contuinued.
Kiera woke up in the Gryffindor common room, she felt sick, she needed the water. She hadnt been in it since they got there, but now the sickness got to her she had to go swim. She climbed out of her bed, not even notcing that two beds were empty, as she reached the lake she saw Viv and Liv, she walked over and sat down...She could go swim in a second. She asked So how do you two like it here?

Liv turned around to see Kiera and said "So far its okay...Though to be honest I'm scared I dont know how to control my powers like all of you what if I fly and somebody sees me." It was the mouse's greatest fear being caught...She had never told the others but she had been seen once in a toy shop no one saw her except a five year old boy who said nice magic trick and left.
