Setting:

2007 – It is the summer everyone is on vacation.
We're in a small village, Julie, situated between a two huge, high, Rocky Mountains range, there's only one dirt road out of town.
A small group of exploring wizards is visiting this wizard village; the villagers don't mind their company, as long as they don’t interfere in their lives.

A Short History:

The team of exploring wizards go into the mountains everyday, to search for an ancient relic that used to belong to the four founders of magic. The group consists of ten witches and wizards, all between the ages of 20-50.

Characters:

- Every single character will need a bio.
- There will be four main characters.
- If you are one of the four main characters; you cannot double.
- If you are one of the made-up's you may double-up!
-No super powers... I will allow some powers if you will share the idea with me first.

Plot:

Isolated, the group have become very close. Ray James Hufflepuff and Kelly are 'best friends', as are Charlie Storms and Bianca Riches.
The four live in one of the houses, newly built, at the edge of Julie, a French village.

One night, a village meeting is held, and as the wizards and witches have been living in the village for a couple of years, the villagers ask them to come. A man had been found, dead in his house, with no mark on him, he had not been shot, poisoned, suffocated, stabbed or hung, in fact he was perfectly healthy, apart from the fact he was dead. The muggles police force have no idea how this could have happened, they are all baffled. The witches and wizards know otherwise, they can't help the muggles, because otherwise they'd have broken the International Statute of Secrecy. They do not know who killed the wizard and his family, until one day, when high up in the mountains, fifteen Dark Wizards are found searching for the same artifact the group of wizards are looking for. Who will arrive first to discover the artifact? What can this artifact do? Who will die in this quest? And what will our heroes figure out in this journey that will change their lives for ever?

Personality: Known to always listen to others before he makes any step, he has gained the position of Captain on the team. He is known to be very loyal and protective. He depends on his sister Kelly too much because he trusts her a lot.
Extra: Ray is the last descendant of Helga Hufflepuff. When he was young, he was taught how to tap into the Hufflepuff magic which allows him to use very experienced magic before wiping him entirely.
Ray’s family was killed when he was ten year old by Dark wizards that dreamed of gaining the Hufflepuff magic.
Last, Ray agreed to go on this journey after his chief ordered him to do so.

Appearance: Beautiful girl which sends fibs of power and strength, people always notice her long silky platine blond hair. She usually wears a pair of Jeans and a nice blouse. When it’s cold, she puts her silky black robe on top of her casual close.
Personality: Known to have a very kind persona however she forgets her kindness when she is angry. She is one of the smartest on the team and always has answers when it comes to magical items.
Extra: Kelly’s past is kind of flu, she can’t remember anything of her past, all she can remember is that she was raised by a muggle family when she was nine; before that it is all blank.
Kelly’s a graduate with full GPA and she is very well known to have answers to any question.
Last Kelly accepted the mission after she knew what she was after. She is the only person on the team that knows what they are searching for.

Usually everyone fears him and never argue with him... But at the same time everyone feels confort around him... He is known to be Ray's right hand
Personality: Conan has a very strong personality and is one of the best theorician in the world... He was one of the few people who discovered the reality about Ravenclaw secrets... He made a couple of theories about the birth of magic and he takes good pride in his work.

"Yes Im in here" Ray shouted from behind the door before opening it using wandless magic... "Hey hun" Ray said as he moved to Be-Be and kissed her on her chicks. "Rough night wasn't it?" He asked before hearing a sound from downstairs.

Conan woke up and shook his head. He hadn't had good dreams. He began to search through his clothes, trying to find the right ones for the expedition. He finally decided to put on his usual outfit, that made him look older. He didn't know this, of course, because he thought it made him look younger. Picking up his wand, he sighed, and walked out of the room to find some breakfast. There had to be some somewhere in here, he was starving.

Steven had been awake for a while now. He never got much sleep anyway, so it made little difference to him. He reached into the pocket of his jacket, which was hung up next to his bed, and retrieved a packet of cigarettes and a lighter. He had been planning to give up for over a year now, but had never really had the willpower to be bothered to.

Ah well...never mind...

He finished the cigarette and tossed the butt out of the window, standing up and grabbing a shirt from the end of his bed, and pulling it on. He decided that no one else would probably be up, and lay back on his bed, whistling gently to himself.

Kami, smelling the smoke and hearing the whistling, went to Steven's room. "I thought you were going to quit?" he asked with a questioning look. He had never liked smoking, and he didn't mind saying so. Kami sighed and looked out the window. It was so beautiful here. "So, when do you think the others will wake up?" was his next question.

After dressing up and putting on his golden and black robes, Ray asked Bianca to meet him downstairs.
"If Kelly is downstairs, please can you calm her down... I guess she needs girls talking... I need to see if Kami(Conan) is awake... I need to talk to him" Ray said as he brushed his teeth.
Ray walked out of his messy room leaving Be-Be with a kiss on her chicks and head towards Kami's room... After knocking several times, he entered the room, but Kami was no where to be found

At least his room is clean and tide up

Ray thought to himself before taking out his wand and placing it on his palm, he was happy that he improved the spell he was about to use, and muttered "Point me to Conan" his wand started to spin before pointing to the adjacent room, Steven's room.
Ray knocked and entered the room, the room was still as messy as Ray's and Steven was still in bed. The smell of smock had filled the room and started to bug Ray, he quickly flicked his wand and the smoke's smell disappeared...
"Kami I need to talk to you, please... Steven get dressed... I need you to wake everyone in the house, you can use anything to do that... After that start with Charlie a series of magical protection around the house, now that we only have this house and that the village isn't protecting us anymore... I guess we should improvize... And one more thing tell everyone that I surrounded the house with anti-apparation spells, no one can get in or out or even apparate in this house... Now Kami, please lets go to your room, it's way more cleaner than mine...

He's gone, Kelly told herself. He's gone. Kelly kept thinking it as she moved around the kitchen. He's gone and he is never coming back. And that was the simple truth, Kelly knew it but something in her just couldn't believe it.
She sat on the kitchen table and started searching for a book, dropping few parchements and scrolls on her way. Her eyes were puffy ans red; she looked like she hadn't got any sleep, the sight of them just bring you to think if finding the book wasn't a stressing effort. Then, when she was two inches away from crying, she found it... The Tales of The Ancient Times. She opened it and started reading, but even this couldn't take away the idea of Jean's death, she closed her eyes and started thinking of all the things, he might have meant when they last talked but all of it seemed so complexe to her. She tried to determine the possible meanings of his last words, but the more she thought of it the more desperate and far-fetched her speculation became.

"Jean, I've been thinking, and..."
"Kelly, could you help me with something?" Jean said. Apparently, he did seem to be listening to her. He got up and looked amongst his books finally grapping The Tales of Ancient Times.
"Look at that symbol" He said, pointing at an image on the page two hundred and three. The picture debated four forms, shadows maybe, circling around an object, but Kelly couldn't figure out it's true form.
"Yes, Jean but I can't figure it out, what does that..."
"Well everything had a start what if all of this had one too, maybe there is something bigger here, maybe that is the reason our bosses ordered us to keep it for ourselves... Maybe that is why Dumbledore refused this whole mission in the first place?"
"Yes, but Dumbeldore mentionned in his last will that if Voldemort was killed or destroyed, this mission must continue and I can tell you know that if he was still alive, he would be the first one her trying to figure things out..."
"Yes but he was killed and they gave it to you... Think about what we talked today? It may all have a meaning... Here, take this book... You need it more than me anyway" Jean interrupted Kelly for the third time this evening...

Kelly opened her eyes, she was back in her own time...

Jean what did you mean when you told me all this? What is the point of telling it to me if I can't figure it out...

She close the book heavily,at least the sound of that would wake the team up, she thought to herself, while taking out her wand and flicking it in mid air, a cup of tea on the table flew to her free hand, it was cold so Kelly taped, with the tip of her wand, the surface of the liquid that quickly turned hot... She begun drinking her tea as she waited her team to wake up...

"Yeah, I say a lot of things," Steven replied, matter of factly, and smirked. He figured they had learnt to put up with this kind of attitude from him by now. He contemplated whether or not to get another one, just to annoy him, but thought against it, thinking maybe he should at least cut down.

At that point, Ray entered the room, acting like the boss, as usual. Firstly, expelling the smell of smoke. He didn't care whether it annoyed other people, it relaxed him. Then, ordering him about like some sort of kid!

"Yes sir..." he said, with a hint of resentment. He stood up and pulled on his black robes. Yawning heavily, he proceeded to move around the house, flicking his wand at the door of every person who was still asleep, making a rather loud bang.

"Wakey wakey people!"

Ray smiled when he heard Kami jock on him being the boss, but in the end he was the head-auror, and he needed to settle leadership. After Kami and Ray entered the room, Ray pointed his wand at the door and muttered "Muffliato!" before answering Conan's question.

Conan I didn't figure out a think, yesterday after we got back from the meeting, I begged Kelly to tell me a single think but all she did was close the door in my face and locked it with every spell she knew, after trying to open it I just got desperate and went back to my room." "But let me ask you... Don't you have a clue on all of this, all we know till now is that Kelly is searching for an artifact that belonged to some great wizard... So you are the great history theorician can't you remember anything about a myth that happened in this region.

Bianca smiled and borrowed Ray's clean Hufflepuff sweatshirt, She fired off a cleaning spell as she left the room, knowing Ray would be surprised. She ran to her room, Thrwe on a pair of jeans, Ray's shirt, her sneakers and pulled her blonde hair up in a golden colored Scrunchie. She ran downstairs and into the kitchen, she picked up a scone and poured herself a cup of tea before she sat next to Kelly. "How are you holding up?" She asked her friend, concerned.

"I'm just wondering?" Ray said as he looked at Kami with an intense look "What if something happened to you or to Kelly... What are we supposed to do? Just go around and try to figure it out on ourselves... You know that this is impossible... None of us have a clue in History... I don't even remember what I studied in Hogwarts... But if you see it like this then I guess I will just have to past this occasion out" Ray finished as he turned around to leave the room.

I guess I'll have to let someone use a bit of legilimens on someone

Ray thought to himself, as he prepared himself to leave the room...

"Kami, I think I should tell you this now, we are going to start having guard petrols every night... And I'm going to start series of magical protection over the house... But I still need someone to get food... So I was wondering you being the only person this village still have respect to... Can you manage to go to the market and grap some stuff??" Ray asked timidely...
"And one more thing... There will no more be any stay out for you..." Ray finished in a low voice. In the end, Kami did give him the chills, but Ray was here to insure there protection.

Kelly was surprised when Charlie followed by Bianca entered the Kitchen, she quickly pointed her wand and muttered "Evanesco!" and all the books, quills, parchements, scrolls on the table disappeared.

She turned to Bianca and saluted her before answering her question.
"Well I had better day" Kelly replied as she scratched her head... "I mean..." and Kelly stopped talking, she just remembered that she wasn't allowed to talk of Jean to anyone...
"Look I guess I'm going to have a meeting tonight to settle thing out a bit... I think it's about you having a little clue about what is going on in this trip..." She said as she looked at charlie and Bianca.

I have only one thing on my mind and it has to come out, or else Ray is going to use some strange power on me like he used to when we were kids. She thought to herself as finished her tea and grapped some bread and fixed herself a peanut and butter sandwich, and started thinking again about her last word with Jean, but making sure not to cry again... She needed to become strong for the team even if it meant forgetting Jean

After leaving Kami alone in his room, Ray decided to go down to the kitchen, he noticed that Steven was waking up everyone while making a bang noice on each door, I hope he would remeber to tell them about the anti-apparation spell I place last night... The kitchen wasn't crowded like last night when they came back from the meeting.
Kelly, Bianca and Charlie we the only people in the kitchen and they all seemed so tired, Ray flicked his wand as tea pour in a cup and flew to him, his hair started changing to a golden color.
Someone is using excessive magic he thought as he looked in the window that reflected his image.
He took a seat next to Bianca and addressed Charlie.
"Hey I need you to help me place some protection spells.. As soon as Steven gets down, you are going to go to the backyard of the house and set an intruder charm, maybe I will work on a Fidelius Charm and some other protective spells" He said in a down tone like he was talking to himself.
"Oh yes!! I placed anti-apparation spell on the house last night, no one can apparate in the house and out of it, or in it's surroundings... So don't go on apparating or you will get stuck and I can't save you there" Ray continued this time speaking to everyone.

Ray continued drinking tea as he waited for Steven to come down, then he remembered Nicole, Maybe I will give her the first guard shift, she showed good talent last time when she saved the team from a group of banshees using a silence hexe
"Hey I decided as well that starting from this night...." Ray began before being interrupted by Kelly.

A man just died and you are happy as a fairy... Just like nothing happened... Go place those defensive spells for the love of God... But stop putting plans for everyone else please..." She said as her eyes began swimming in tears.
"Tonight, there won't be anything... We are going to meet here... You understand... It's an order... I'm giving you an order, me your boss, I give you an order... You might be head-auror on this mission but I'm still your captain... After you finish up putting every spell you know... I want you to tell everyone of our meeting... I want everyone here by 7 o'clock and don't be late..." She said as she moved towards the stairs and went up straight to her room, she opened the door of her room and entered.
Grapping her cloth, she changed, arranged her hair and brushed her teeth and wrote a note on a piece of paper

I hope he would know something about all of this... She thought, as she flicked her wand and the same book she was reading in the kitchen appeared in front her and opened at the page hundred and three, revealing the same image she and Jean were trying to figure it's meaning.

Ray was shocked by the reaction of Kelly... Usually, they get along very well. Actually, since they were in school Kelly and Ray used to spend all there time together, Ray would lead Kelly into troubles but at the end they used to have fun. Now Kelly was bossing him around, yes she is the boss... But why all of this now Ray thought.
"Somebody got up on the wrong side of the bed!" He said when Kelly left. "Anyway, you heard her Charlie lets get moving... Be-Be can you tell Steven and Nicole to follow me if you saw them... I will leave for you the job of cleaning up the house, you can use Eva... And let Eddy guard Kelly's room... I know I'm still bossing but I need this favor okey" He finished giving a kiss to Bianca... And head out of the house.

The view didn't change, it was the same when they first got here two years ago, and it looked the same now. The mountain covered the village in a robe of shadow, this protection from sun will disappear as the sun go higher in the sky. Underneath them, the village was showing a lot of activity, the only two buildings that remains visible were the church and the market place.
Ray remembered that he asked Conan to go and get some missing stuff,I hope Kelly won't know about this... Ray thought to himself.
The other mountain had the shape of the sorting hat in Hogwarts, it green color due to the presence of Cedars, gave it this horrible impression of a rock covered with algae.

"Okey!! Charlie what kind of magical protection spells do you know?" Ray asked Charlie that stood next to him.

He took a seat next to Bianca and addressed Charlie.
"Hey I need you to help me place some protection spells.. As soon as Steven gets down, you are going to go to the backyard of the house and set an intruder charm, maybe I will work on a Fidelius Charm and some other protective spells" He said in a down tone like he was talking to himself.
"Oh yes!! I placed anti-apparition spell on the house last night, no one can apparate in the house and out of it, or in it's surroundings... So don't go on apparating or you will get stuck and I can't save you there" Ray continued this time speaking to everyone.

Ray continued drinking tea as he waited for Steven to come down, then he remembered Nicole, Maybe I will give her the first guard shift, she showed good talent last time when she saved the team from a group of banshees using a silence hexe
"Hey I decided as well that starting from this night...." Ray began before being interrupted by Kelly.

Charlie watched as Ray walked into the kitchen and looked surprised when Ray addressed him but replied all the same "Yeah, sure, fine" Charlie listened as Ray told him the plans and when Ray told him about the anti-apparition spell he looked at Ray and said "Good idea Ray" and his mind wandered while Ray was talking but he was quickly brought back to his senses by Kelly cutting in.

Grapping her cloth, she changed, arranged her hair and brushed her teeth and wrote a note on a piece of paperShe folded the paper in two and tapped it with her wand as she saw it fly and head towards Conan.
I hope he would know something about all of this... She thought, as she flicked her wand and the same book she was reading in the kitchen appeared in front her and opened at the page hundred and three, revealing the same image she and Jean were trying to figure it's meaning.

Charlie looked up as Kelly had an outburst of anger and stood up "Hey calm down hun" he said as he cuddled her

OOC: Kelly and Charlie are together aren't they?

The other mountain had the shape of the sorting hat in Hogwarts, it green color due to the presence of Cedars, gave it this horrible impression of a rock covered with algae.

"Okey!! Charlie what kind of magical protection spells do you know?" Ray asked Charlie that stood next to him.

Charlie looked at Ray and replied "Ones only i should know" and he tapped his nose, then he walked around with his wand in the air, casting protection spells in parseltongue, these spells would stop muggles finding the house, and they would stop wizards from finding it unless you knew it was there or you could speak Parseltongue.

OOC: The last spell is like a Fidelius charm but it's not.

Kami sighed as he watched Ray leave. He was right in a way; what would happen if both of them died? He went over to his drawer to get some money to go into town, but something stopped him. It sounded like they were having a shouting match downstairs. He listened for a moment, but it subsided, and he decided it was probably Ray and Kelly. They hadn't been getting along so well lately. He sighed, and continued to search for his money when something else stopped him. A tap on the shoulder, so he turned around. Instead of the Ray that he thought it might be, it was a note. He unrolled it, and it said:

He knew it was from Kelly because of the handwriting. He wondered what he should do. Ray had told him to go into town, but now Kelly wanted him in her room. She could've found something, which would be important, but it might take too long for him to go into town that day. But surely Ray wouldn't mind if Kelly had found something and needed his help? Why was everything up to him? He supposed it was probably because he was the oldest in the group, or just because he was a history professor. He took the note and his money and walked over to Kelly's room.
Knocking on her door, he asked, "Kelly, what is it? Did you find something?"

Katy jumped at Steven's bang on her door. She was sitting cross-legged on the threadbare rug in her tiny bedroom, preparing for a brief reading with her tarot cards. Yesterday's news had been jarring; the mission they were on was unpredictable enough, and the news of a dead wizard was almost certainly a bad omen of worse things to come. She had only known Jean Lyon by reputation, and therefore knew nothing about him at all (truthfully, at least). Somebody was almost certainly on their tail, and out to cause some trouble, and she needed to be pointed in the right direction.

She sighed through her nose, lips pursed. It would have to wait.

"I'm coming you dolt stop banging on the door!" she called, irritated. "It's rude."

She glanced out of the window. The day was gray and overcast, unusual for the summer. She decided to leave her tumbling chestnut brown hair loose. Already dressed, she filled her pouch with rune stones and a tiny round scrying glass. Packing an i-ching pendant and map was useless; the villager's mistrust of them meant that everywhere for miles would certainly be Unplottable. She tucked her rosewood wand into a pocket of her robes and hurried downstairs. Unusually agitated, she had forgotten to cast a concealment charm over the scar on her arm.

Bianca sighed. Stuck once again with the cleaning up. She didn't say anything about it, it was no use to try to talk to Ray when he was in his bossy mood. "Alright honey, just be careful, don't use too much Magi.." She was cut off with the slamming of the door. Bianca bit her lip and clenched her fists to prevent herself from reaching for her wand. She looked around the room, and began picking up teacups, and Cereal bowls and her small plate. She washed and dried them in the muggle way, to keep her hands busy for a bit, then after putting away the dishes, she wiped everything down and once everything was satisfactory, she walked outside to see if she could help.

Ray took out his wand and started circling around the house, casting spells after spell. He stopped after his fifth round to take a rest, his hair now only showed the golden color with few points of black. To his big surprise, Bianca was out and talking with Charlie.
Im in a big trouble now He thought to himself, Bianca hated when Ray used to much magic, but now there is a good reason. He continued casting spells after spell.
"Cave Inimicum! Muffliato!Protego Horribilis!Protego Totalum!Repello Muggletum!Salvio Hexia!" Ray muttered as he circled for the last time the house.
"I think I'm almost finished" He said as he walked towards Charlie and Bianca. "I will just add a Fidelius Charm but Im waiting Kami... He went to the market to get some stuff." He continued making sure not to look at Bianca.
"I guess I'm going to let Steven add some more magical protection, he is the best in the field when it comes to defensive spells... Charlie you can do what ever you want now... Be-Be hun, can you talk to me for a moment?" Ray asked as he dragged Bianca towards the cliff.
"So I need you to tell me if Kelly told you something?" Ray asked very quietly.

Charlie looked at Ray and nodded as Ray went to talk to Bianca then he carried on casting spells in Parseltongue "Hasiah hase heth" which to him meant go away intruder, and if any intruder came they would set off an alarm and the would be thrown into the village again, all except for those who lived at the house
