Location: 2090 is the year of the Wizarding Games. This is a time where all wizarding athletes compete in various events to win their country honor and medals. Only the best of the best are selected to represent their country in these games. The games run from July 6 through July 23. Wizards that have bought tickets for the games are heard cheering on their countries and enjoying each event, whereas the athletes can be found competing or watching as well. This year the Wizarding Games are being hosted in Australia.

Text Cut: Wollongong Warriors Quidditch Stadium
Here for Quidditch, broom racing, Quodpot, Shuntbumps, or winged horse racing? These events will be held in the Wollongong Warriors Quidditch Stadium where your seats will be high enough to see everything that is going on. Fans will have paid top galleon for these seats and they'll get all the luxuries that go with it. The stadium is charmed to have the most comfortable seating and the best leg room. No need to worry about kicking the seat in front of you. There are restrooms on each level as well as snack venues. So in between a match or race don't forget to grab some nachos or your countries favorite snack. If you are wanting to find some souvenirs look for a venue at each entrance as you come in. This way you can be ready to cheer on your country as soon as you find your seat.
Text Cut: Hastings Field
If you are looking for Flying Seahorse fishing you've come to the right spot. Hastings Field is where the athletes have already set up and are ready to start. Fans will be permitted to stand in their assigned area to watch their country try to be the best. At the entrance of the field you will find the restrooms, food stands, and souvenirs.
Text Cut: Millie Gobstones Arena
The newly remodeled Millie Gobstones Arena is where you are going to find the action of the world's greatest Gobstones players as well as Wizard skittles. Fans of these events will find charmed seating and the best view anywhere in the building. With their big score board directly in the center of the arena no one will miss any of the action. Restrooms are located at the different levels and food stands with pizza, nachos, hot dogs, and other enjoyable treats can be found near the various entrances and exits. If you are looking for a shirt or bobble head then head towards the middle levels where a big shop has been set up for your to find anything you are looking for.
Text Cut: The Maroon Building
The Maroon building stands not far from the Quidditch stadium and is the location of the Dueling competition as well as Wizarding chess. These two events will be exciting to watch and fans won't want to miss them. Seating is located on the left side of the open room and will hold all ticket holders. The seating is a bit more crowded then the other two places, but the seats are just as comfy with their charms. The corridor holds all your needs from restrooms to souvenirs and food.
OOC: This thread is to have fun and play at the Wizarding Games. It is set like the Olympics, and is here for fun and enjoyment. You can RP charries as athletes competing or fans watching, eating, or buying. Charries can be from anywhere in the world. Please limit yourself to three different charries and make sure fonts/colours are different for each.
Also, since we are all RPing in the same thread, please title your post with the location for each of your characters so we can all keep track of where we all are and find others to play with.
Vanessa had heard about the Wizarding games while listening to her radio and thought it'd be great to go and check them out.... Maybe she'd get to see some of her old school friends. Since starting her new job she hadn't much time for anything else... But today... Today was her day off and she was determined to enjoy herself. So, dressed to kill and in the perfect shoes she made her way down to the venue and checked the board for events and times....

Well, Gobstones player AND boyfriend. Hehe.
"We've got to check out the Gobstones Arena first!'' Adi said, tugging on Benny's hand. In all the excitement, he forgot that his other half might want to see the Quidditch Pitch. Oops. "And we need to get something to eat,'' he added with a laugh as his stomach gave a light rumble.
Later on, Adi would be playing in the Arena. He was super duper excited right now and extra bouncy. He rarely suffered from nerves, having played professional Gobstones before but he had a feeling he might be bothered by them later on. This was competing at an International level.

Was he nervous? Heck yes he was nervous, but he was proud. He couldn't believe when he was asked to be part of the Australian team even though they knew he was moving, he of course jumped at the chance. He had started and did very well last season for the Warriors and they had tried their hardest to keep him, but he had to make the decision to move for family back to London. He had made his childhood dream come true being part of the Warriors, but now an even bigger dream was happening.
The Wizarding World Games. It wasn't time for their team to play so he was found walking the stadium and looking for his seat. He was going to check out the competition before it was their time to play.
This was fun. Pulling Stosh to Australia for a little get away she had bought the tickets to surprise him. Roommate got the advantage when it came to her special treats. So after stopping at the hotel they made their way over to the Gobstone Arena where the Wizarding Skittles was going to be starting. Not a game she had spent much time watching, but it was the wizarding games so she would be cheering on Germany, her home country.
"So ready to get beat my the Germans? " She laughed and held his hand as they walked along. Stopping at the shop she couldn't help it. "I'm getting a shirt and maybe a flag to wave when we beat everyone here."
Warner was excited to get to come to the games. He couldn't believe he was able to take off work. He was so looking forward to the Seashorse fishing. That was always fun to watch. It had been years since he had been out doing it, but the thought of watching professionals made him want to try it again.
Making his way to the field and giving his ticket to the lady waiting, he stopped buying a drink and to look around. "Wow" This was incredible. He was actually at a Wizarding Game, not in his entire life did he think he'd ever make it to one, but the tickets were offered at work and he was certainly not going to turn them away. Even if it meant he had to work a little while here.

Benny had almost forgotten said plans over the summer in the whirlwind of finals and last minute tendings for Azura’s inhabitance of their apartment. Which was certainly a surprise given that a certain player close to his heart was to compete there. Regardless, it was upon them and they were there amongst the crowds of witches and wizards from around the globe, spectators and competitors alike.
“Okay…okay,” he said with a laugh as Adi pulled him in the direction of said Gobstones Arena, the dragon willingly following. The former quidditch player would doubt his boyfriend could be any more excited about what was to transpire at the games. “We will get to both,” especially at Adi’s stomach rumble, “no trouble.” Cue playful poke at side.

All these witches and wizards were just delaying him in getting to that wonderful arena. He had been hoping to spot a few friends but he doubt that was even possible right now. Ah, well. He had hi dragon with him and that was all he needed. He adjusted the fingers interlocked with Benny's more comfortably as they continued on.
And that's when he FINALLY remembered...
"You'll want to see the Quidditch Stadium.'' It wasn't a question. "Want to stop there after we're done here? I bet we can take a peek at it.'' They'd be going to a few games but that didn't mean they couldn't at least past by to catch a glimpse of the thing.

Or Hogsmeade on the occasions there were released from the castle with hordes of their fellow students. He did his best to move without too much jostling of others as he hurried along beside Adi, his fingers answering in kind as his other half shifted grasp with his, the former lion quietly apologizing when he couldn’t.

He should have remembered about the Stadium earlier since he always put Benny before himself. Well, it was just this one time that he put himself ahead. He didn't like it at all though. Heh.

He hadn’t picked up at his teasing words would only be returned to him in certain ways, but Benny was aware of the bait being passed to him. The mention of guys and girls as genders of said fans was clearly a hint to all that could take his place if either party so desired. That and the smirk directed his way got Adi his dragon with his eyebrow raised at him in return. “Oh really? “he rhetorically questioned before leaning in to whisper in his ear. “Do I need to make them well aware that you are taken?”
Pulling away, he chuckled at the last remark. “When in truth, you eat as much as three dragons worth.” The hippogriff of the bottomless stomach and Aditya the gobstones player were as one after all.

Amelia made her way to the Wizarding World Games. She was rather excited. It had been ages since she had seen her last Quidditch game and this wasn't just a school game either. This was a proper math. The Gryffindor didn't usually go to events but a lot had changed somehow. In her mood, in the way she saw the world and the way she carried herself. Surprisingly, the brunette was really looking forward to this.
Butterbeer in hand she went looking for a good place to stay.
Sasha could not wait to get to the games. Sea Horses!!! She was gonna see sea horses. All these months she had been waiting for the Wizarding Games to come and now she was finally here. Thankfully for her dads being a sports journalist the had really good spots.
Now the brunette was waiting for the games to start. She was ready. Sea Horses were the best honestly, cute and strong. Like her. Hah.

Adi desperately wanted to laugh at his own teasing as they approached the Arena. Instead he passed it out as a snigger. Once upon a time, Benny would have gotten insecure but now, just look at him playing along! Adi was proud of him for not taking his silly talk seriously. He seized his boyfriend's closeness as a chance to press a kiss to his cheek. "Maybe,'' he said with another smirk, wiggling his brows in interest.
"Only three dragons?'' Adi pulled a comical face that was supposed to pass as a crestfallen one. He then brighten up as they came close to the first set of food stands. "Let's buy everything they have!''

He was here to surprise Cinna and Bart. He wasn't all that used to being on the side lines of a Quidditch match. It had been years since he had attended one as a fan but he was here for his best friends daughter and son-in-law and he wasn't turning back. He knew that Bart was a really great quidditch player. It had been a long time since he was last in Australia. He didn't know how much he missed this part of the world until he was away from it for years. He would have to take Camille here on vacation and then he would have to bring Sebastian and Jacques here for a family vacation.
The professional quidditch player made his way over to the seating, he didn't mind if he ran into some Tutshill fans along the way. He loved his fans but he was looking for some friends of his! Beck looked around and spotted both of the people he was looking for after a few minutes of searching. With a big proud smile on his face he walked over to Bart and Cinna. "Bonjour!" That had to be his trademark now. If you knew Beck Salvatore pretty well then you would know when he entered a room as soon as he speaks.

Ten dragons…
Benny supposed his favorite creatures would be well sated by the array of foodstuffs present at the stalls, though not their usual fare. Not much meat around to weigh their favored appetites. “The venders wouldn’t even have done the task of preparing and cooking it then,” he mused in jest as he observed his surroundings. Though more than a tad grateful Adi didn’t push the matter.
He did however garnish a look at the boyfriend at his further suggestion. “Do I get a choice in the matter - besides the wish to not be roasted upon spit when one has succeeded in doing so?" Benny had no doubts Adi would be successful in making him a pig, literally and figuratively, if he so desired. As for food to do said trick, there were indeed many options. “Hot dogs and…fries?”

The Wizarding World Games wasn't something Gethan had intended to come to at first. Until he found out the girlfriend was going. Which only really meant one thing. He was going too. So here he was. Shoving his hands into the pockets of his black jeans the teen smirked slightly to himself spotting someone very familiar a few feet up ahead.
"Looking a bit lonely there, princess," he greeted quietly slipping up alongside Amelia and bumping into her playfully. Yes, he was aware of the drink in her hand which he did not want to see spilled all over himself or her either for that matter.
Sports were typically his thing but he had no clue what he was doing here so whatever she wanted to do he was good with. Lead the way and he'd gladly follow along.

Maybe he should have. Though Cameron hadn't said anything about any of his players playing either and he would have thought maybe he would have? Though Bart was going to be on the opposing team, so that could be why his father in law didn't mention it.
Kit Speed and her crew members were here to cover the Olympic games, mainly famous international Quidditch and Gobstones players. Honestly, she never really cared for sports unless they bringing her more moolas to her growing business. She had a team of professionals waiting to interview them at the press station. She trusted her team to do their jobs as planned, expecting a report from them by the end of the day.
The perks of being the boss of her modeling agency and the daughter of her wizarding business mogul dad, she was given an all pass to see the games at the VIP lounge area. But for all the time that she was there, her mind just wanted to go back to her tent where she could get a little shut-eye. She was feeling under the weather lately and she didn't know why. Sighing, Kit decided to wander off to the stands instead, hopefully eyeing some potential clients or new faces to be featured in her magazine.

Sports were typically his thing but he had no clue what he was doing here so whatever she wanted to do he was good with. Lead the way and he'd gladly follow along.
Trying to figure out where she would see the most and could still enjoy her drink without it being spilled all over her by poging fans, Amelia didn't see who was approaching. Maybe she would have spilled her drink if she had in fact seen him.
And then she heard his voice. Her /boyfriend's/ voice. Thats right. Amelia Powell had a boyfriend. Even though they'd been official for a bit now it still gave her tingles to call him her boyfriend. This was so surreal, she had never been this happy. "Not lonely anymore", seventh year shook her head and kissed him softly. As he bumped into her, she couldn't help but laugh."Babe i got a drink. Be careful."
Wrapping her free arm around him she rested her head on his shoulder. "Think this is good?"

"Chips I think they're called in Australia also.'' Just like in Britain. "Channeling your mother's American side?'' Adi remembered quite well that his future mother-in-law is an American. "Alright, let's get some of that and hot dogs. Sounds good?''

Not alone anymore. Those words were simple in context with the way Amelia had just said them but when looked into their meaning could be many things. If it were left up to him Gethan would find a way to see to it that she was never alone again.
The small kiss he received in greeting was met with one of his own. "I know, I saw it." Hence he was being careful about bumping into her. Plus he was always careful...maybe sometimes. Okay, hardly ever but he would be more careful were Amelia was involved.
"If you're able to see then it's fine," Geth replied sliding his arm around her waist bringing her in closer against his side. Even if he couldn't see what all was happening he didn't think he would mind to much.

Benny smiled as more laughter flowed from his boyfriend, his jest obviously well accepted by Adi. “A true hippogriff then,” he said, remembering all the raw animals often being fed the magnificent creatures either during school or times at the reserve. “Or coyote.” The dragon almost wondering if his other half’s hunger would ever outlive said patience to the point of eating meat raw, especially when not in form.

Cinna nodded and smiled, before slipping her hand in his as they walked. ]"Yeah. That's what I figured. When was the last time you watches a match?" Here or at all. She could imagine what the difference would be playing and not watching in the stands. She was used to the stands and navigating through them. She had always been in the stands, watching her dad or Bart. though she played pick up games, and little league quidditch when she was younger but that might have been because her dad always signed her up, and coached. She liked it, but never pressured it on.
"Sure. Food sounds good." Even at a time like this, he was wanting food. It never seem to amaze her that he always thought of food. His seem to only have three things on his mind, food, quidditch, and her. Quite possibly in that order too, "We should probably go grab it before we sit down" She looked around for the closest food outlet. She was hungry too.
As she looked for a food place she heard a familiar voice and smiled "Hey Beck" It was Beck, her dads best friend or whatever, Favorite player growing up, after her dad of course, and first celebrity crush. But don't let her husband know. She didn't think he was playing then again he could be but that would mean that her dad would also be here too.
