Default That Summer - V.5!

This is a continued role-play created by hazydazy012, and thanks to Gryffindoll, emmafan123 and Lily Lupin this RP, plot and a couple characters are still thriving! It's one of our longest running RPs in a LONG time, if not the longest. So congrats to you girls for doing such a good job at keeping the thread(s) active, and enjoy.

This is version (5) FIVE, the first four threads have reached their post limits. From the original thread:

One year at Hogwarts a mysterious spell was cast that not even the professors can undo. You wouldn't be able to see a difference at Hogwarts, just looking at the school, but it actually made magic impossible! Not a single person or creature could cast a spell while in the school. How are the students supposed to learn when they can't try out the new spells? Sure, most were devestated, (Especially the 7th years! How are they supposed to finish their last year?!) but of course, some were estatic too! Who doesn't want to have a longer summer vacation? So, most students go home in high spirits TWO months before Hogwarts was officially supposed to be let out for summer break. Only one week into their luxuriously long holiday, every student recieves this letter:

"It is mandatory for any students who want to complete their year to attend "La Bacchetta Magica", a summer learning camp for wizards located in a small getaway near Tuscany. You will be finishing up the studies that were unfinished at Hogwarts. Please bring your wand and other necessary items for regular classes."

Fantastic. Some are angry, but most are excited! I mean, it's called "The Magic Wand" in Italian, for goodness sakes. It's gotta be fun. And guess what?! It is! Everyone is having a great time with the mix of school and just plain summer camp fun! How will the Divinations in the morning and campfires at night affect the students? You decide!

Please join! There will need to be a few professors/camp counselors! Even number of boys and girls, please. Post a bio with a picture, thanks!

(P.S. I looked up "La Bacchetta Magica" and it told me "The Magic Wand" but it was only an online translator. If I'm wrong, then whoops! Heehee)

The clock had just turned to 12:48 when Ferris's drowsy body finally decided that it needed no more rest and it was time to get up. Despite the fact that he'd gotten a good few hours' worth of rest, his body didn't seem all that happy that he'd gotten up at least three times in the night just to go back to sleep once more, it was almost as though he'd confused his own body and now it didn't trust him with the responsibility of slumber. But it was finally time to get out of bed and the young man let out a long yawn as he sat up groggily, brown eyes hazy as they scanned the room only to find that his wife was missing. Checking the clock with a sigh he came to the conclusion that Vianna had already gotten up that morning for good and was pleasantly surprised to think that he'd had a good three or four hours of wail-lacking sleep.

After brushing his teeth, Ferris made his way slowly down the stairs (fueled by the smell of food and the promise of his Vianna), his expression still half asleep as he made it into the living room. Still wearing nothing but pajama pants, he absentminedly scratched the back of his bare shoulder as he started down the hallway towards the kitchen, hoping to find his wife in there. "Gem?" he called from the hallway moments before he entered the doorway of the kitchen, squinting his eyes at at the bright light streaming through their kitchen windows. Had he been able to see past this, he probably would've been able to see where his wife was with his own eyes, but that wasn't really a possibility for the obviously tired young man.

Vianna had gotten plenty done in the time that Ferris was asleep. She fed their pets, bathed and dressed little Gabe (changing a diaper for the first time as well), made lunch (which had been extremely difficult to do with only one hand as she had to hold Gabe with her other arm), and fed the little one. She was out in the living room now, lounging on the couch with little Gabe laying beside her, holding out his tiny arms as he tried to catch her hand, which moved quickly from one place to the next, tickling him, teasing him. It was good practice for his reflexes, and it seemed to amuse him to no end, though no giggles emerged from his lips and they didn't curve into a smile. He was still too young to even know how to giggle or smile. But the young mother knew he was amused, and admired the way the curiosity burned so brightly in his crystal blue eyes during this simple exercise.

Vianna was snapped out of the daze she'd fallen into playing with the little one as she heard Ferris call out to her, from somewhere in the kitchen. "Looks like your dad's up, Gabe," Vianna informed the little one, as if he understood, before sitting up on the couch. "We're here, Professor," she called out to him with a small smile, her gaze falling back to the baby who stared at her questioningly now, as if asking why she'd pulled her hand away and stopped playing with him. Vianna leaned in toward him and placed a loving kiss on his cheek, completely endeared just by the sight of him, by how tiny and adorable he was.

Ferris grew thoroughly confused as he heard Vianna's voice come from somewhere behind him, turning around only to see through the hallway that she was sitting on the couch in the living room. How had he missed her!? The young man immediately turned around, entering their living room with a sheepish smile on his sleepy pale face as his brown eyes fixed on the sight of Vianna playing with little Gabe. His smile morphed slightly into a warmer grin at this, walking towards them to very gently pick up his baby boy, bringing him up before him as he placed a loving kiss to his chubby cheek. "Gabie," the young man greeted with a warm smile, still admiring the sight of the little baby who kept him up all night. But how could he not? Gabe was just far too cute for his father to resist and Ferris couldn't help but bring the baby boy up to his pale chest, holding him there carefully as he kissed his forehead sweetly and admired his tiny expression with sleepy brown eyes. "You sure have a pair of lungs," he reminded the baby with a soft chuckle, dimples coming out of hiding as he took in the sight of the baby so adorable in his arms, staring up at him curiously. "Now you've gotten your hello, I need to say hello to your attractive mummy," the young man admitted to the infant with a flash of a playful grin before very gently setting the baby comfortably on the armchair. After making sure that the infant was secure in his spot on the chair, Ferris turned to the sight of his wife and let out a soft, contented sigh at the sight of her. "Gem!" he groaned in a playful grumble, tumbling down onto the couch and tackling Vianna down gently into a laying position, his arms slipping around her as he fell back into the cushions with a long sigh. "I've never been so tired after a full night of sleep," he grumbled to her ear with a bit of an amused smile, obviously happy to see her expression so near to himself.

Vianna beamed as Ferris came over in their direction, watching as the young man took their little baby boy into his arms and greeted him with a loving kiss on his little forehead, then teasing him about the power of his lungs. This got Vianna to chuckle softly, completely amused by the comment that was so true, but even more amused by how innocently Gabe stared back at his father, as if claiming to be innocent of the crime of keeping his parents up all night.

Vianna giggled lightly as the young man then joined her on the couch, sharing with her how he'd never been so tired after a full night of sleep. "Tell me about it," muttered the girl in return before chuckling softly. But she was quite exhausted herself, and the tiredness on her usually lively and enthusiastic features showed it. She pecked the young man's lips gently, lovingly for a moment longer than necessary before pulling back. "But I think we make a pretty good team. Gabe seems happy, at least," she said with a smile.

Ferris returned the sweet peck Vianna placed on his lips sweetly for the moment it lasted, his sleepy brown eyes fluttering open as she mentioned that they were a pretty good team, that Gabe seemed happy. "I guess," he muttered with a soft chuckle, shaking his head slightly as he recalled how tired he'd been every time he had to get up to help Gabe. But he knew it wasn't the infant's fault, understood that this was what came with having a newborn, but... He never expected it to be this much work. He thought maybe they'd have to get up once a night each, if that? And now they were each getting up three times!

"I missed you," the young man grumbled to her ear with a warm smile, letting out a soft sigh as he pulled her closer and allowed his warm arms to become a bit more snug around her. He was obviously referring to how he never got to wake up with her at his side, something he always rather enjoyed; he liked being able to lay in bed with her for a while to greet her in the morning. But there was just no way his body would've allowed him to get up at the time she did and so there wasn't much of an opportunity for that on this particular moment. "The bed was all empty when I woke up..." he added to her ear in a playful grumble, kissing her cheek lovingly as he pulled her into his bare chest.

"I missed you too, Professor," Vianna replied as Ferris shared that he'd missed her, listening quietly and attentively as he explained that the bed had been empty when he woke up. Vianna gave the young man a sympathetic smile, honestly having missed waking up along with him as well. She leaned in and pecked his lips gently then. "Sorry, I had to go check on Gabe and he didn't fall asleep again after that," she explained. "It was late, anyway. I had to make lunch... which you haven't eaten yet," she pointed out, her eyebrows raising at the young man before her. "Something must be wrong if my Professor isn't digging into his food already!"

Ferris gave a bit of a lopsided grin as Vianna assured him that she'd missed him too before explaining that she had to get up as Gabe didn't fall asleep after she'd checked on him. He gave an understanding nod at this though his attention seemed to be more focused on his wife than her words. But he listened as she then reminded him that he hadn't eaten lunch, that something must've been wrong if her Professor wasn't digging into his food already, and he let out a soft chuckle. "Nothing's wrong, I just want more time with the gem I've missed so much," he murmured to her ear playfully, pulling her closer on instinct as his lips found her cheek and then her jaw, each one placed lovingly as his brown eyes sparkled at her. "She smells really good again," Ferris's nose traced down her expression sweetly, allowing his lips to gently brush up against her soft skin, a bit of a smile on his pale face. "And she's just tempting me to kiss her now," the young man continued to grumble playfully to her ear, beginning to plant a couple more kisses to her temple with a sweet smile.

Vianna giggled lightly as Ferris explained that nothing was wrong, that he just wanted to spend more time with her, before then beginning to award the girl kisses and teases that got her to squirm slightly on instinct, though the smile never left her lips. "Oh yeah?" she asked as mentioned that she was tempting him to kiss her at that moment. The girl's expression turned more playful then, and she was just about to speak once more when she heard soft cooing in the background.

It seemed little Gabe had grown bored from just laying there on the armchair, completely abandoned and neglected. Vianna quickly sat up, blue eyes a little widened. How could they just leave their newborn baby unattended like that?! "Awwww Gabie, I'm sorry," said the girl as she got up to her feet and picked up the little baby from the armchair, taking him into her arms and placing a kiss on his cheek. "Professor, do you think you could watch over him while I go shower and change?" she asked the young man. "I'd like to go to town today."

Ferris gave a playful nod as Vianna gave a soft 'oh yeah?', about to lean towards her and gently kiss her lips when she very suddenly got up from next to him. His brown eyes fluttered open from their closed state they'd taken on in preparation for a kiss as she removed herself from his arms to head over to Gabe's aid, apologizing on behalf of the both of them as she took the infant into her arms. At the sight of little Gabe being lifted from the armchair, the young man took on a bit of a guilty expression, brows furrowing as he realized that he'd just sort of set down their baby like an object so he could have his wife all to himself. This mingled in with the diappointment that he'd been left without a kiss and he just managed a brief nod as she asked him to watch over Gabe while she showered as she wanted to go to town. "Alright," he murmured with a weak smile before taking the baby carefully into his arms, sitting back down on the couch with a soft sigh as he made sure to support the little guy's head.

Vianna gave Ferris a small, sympathetic smile as he merely took little Gabe into his arms a little unenthusiastically and returned to the couch. "Cheer up, Professor," she requested of him softly with a small smile. "I'll be back in fifteen minutes, and when Gabe takes a nap I promise to make up for all the missed kisses," she assured him before chuckling softly as she came to the realization that she was almost talking to her husband as if he were a child. But she couldn't help feeling a little bad just leaving him hanging like that and carrying a baby, though at the same there wasn't much she could do about it if she wanted to move on with her day and shower and get things done. After bathing Gabe in the sink again that morning, the girl came to the realization that they needed to get him his little tub sooner rather than later.
And so, after leaning in toward the young man and placing a quick peck kiss on his lips, Vianna headed up the stairs and over to their bedroom, off to shower and prepare for the upcoming day.

Ferris gave a bit of a small smile as Vianna suggested that he cheer up, promising that she'd make up for all of the missed kisses whenever Gabe decided to take his next nap. "Alright Vi," he agreed with a soft chuckle, returning the peck kiss she placed on his lips before watching as she headed up the stairs. He then returned his attention to the baby in his arms who was currently staring up at him with curious big, blue eyes that were so very much like his mother's. The young man gave a warm smile at the sight of this, admiring the chubby cheeks and rosy lips of the beautiful baby boy, noting how most of his skin was still an adorable pink-ish colour. "I'm sorry I left you on the chair baby boy," Ferris murmured with a soft chuckle, rather amused with how Gabe brought up a hand to place on his chin, taking in the texture of his father's skin with his tiny little fingers. "You're mummy's just very important to me too," he explained to the infant who obviously didn't understand a word he was saying, though seemed completely enthralled with the sound of Ferris's voice. His little hand fell down to his father's throat, blue eyes widening just slightly as he felt the vibrations there whenever Ferris spoke. The young man let out a hearty chuckle at this new expression that seemed rather amazed on that little face, leaning down to place a sweet kiss on that chubby little face.

Vianna returned, as promised, fifteen minutes later. She was changed into her old winter clothes, the maternity ones obviously not fitting her right anymore. She wore jeans and boots, and for once didn't steal another one of her husband's argyle sweaters, instead wearing one of her own winter jackets, as she reserved the habit of stealing the young man's clothes only for their time inside the house; she'd look a bit silly walking around in his sweaters out in the town. Vianna couldn't help feeling like she hadn't been out of the house in ages, especially since the winter started; but she'd always been a little worried of catching a cold or just being sick while still carrying her unborn child. And since Gabe was still too young to be exposed to such extreme weather, it was still best for the girl to stay inside and limit her time outside, unfortunately.

Once downstairs, Vianna entered the kitchen where I'll assume Ferris was, but correct me if I'm wrong and I'll move her. "How was lunch with Gabe, Professor?" she asked.

OOC: "Correct me if I'm wrong and I'll move her."

Ferris was, indeed, in the kitchen, sitting down at the table with Gabe resting in both of his arms, kept snug to his bare chest which he had still yet to put a shirt over. He had a plate with half a sandwich still on it but didn't seem all that interested in this, his brown eyes stuck on the sight of the little baby who seemed completely curious with everything that came his way. He was just letting out a hearty chuckle (Gabe was studying the fan above their heads in the kitchen, his tiny little eyebrows furrowing in the way that his father's so often did when he was trying to solve a particularly difficult problem) when Vianna came to join them in the kitchen. He looked up as she entered, listening as she asked how lunch with Gabe had gone, and he let out a soft chuckle, "Pretty good," he admitted with an amused smile. "He's trying to figure out why we have a ceiling fan," the young man explained before turning back to the baby and planting a sweet kiss to his little forehead. When Ferris looked up once more, he seemed to realize that Vianna's appearance looked a little different and his eyebrows rose with a small smile, "You're wearing your old clothes." He knew this was an obvious change since her belly had gone away but he still wasn't really used to it.

ooc: Hehe, just trying to keep posts accurate.

Vianna chuckled softly with amusement as Ferris explained to her that Gabe was trying to figure out why they had a ceiling fan. The girl couldn't help but be completely endeared by this, still rather fascinated by the way little Gabe was still so new to everything, still had so much to learn about the world surrounding him. She leaned in and placed a kiss on the little one's forehead before pulling back just enough to peck Ferris's cheek gently before returning to her full height. "I'm going to go get Gabe a tub," the girl announced as she set some of the dirty dishes to wash themselves in the sink. "Do you think you could survive about half an hour with Gabe and six pets, Professor?" she asked the young man with a teasing smile, though she couldn't help feeling a little reluctant to leave him and their little boy. But someone had to go and get that tub eventually, and they couldn't really bring Gabe out with them yet, so she might as well get it over with now.

OOC: Bahaha.

Ferris seemed rather pleased with the kiss he received to his cheek, flashing her a bit of a grin as she pulled back and explained that she was going to go get Gabe a tub. His eyebrows rose, now realizing why she wanted to go to town that day, and gave a brief nod before listening as she asked if he thought he could survive with six pets and their baby for half an hour. He rolled his eyes playfully at her before his dimples reappeared with a smile and he gave a nod, "Yes, I'm sure we'll be fine," the young man assured her with a soft chuckle, turning to look at Gabe for a moment before returning his dark brown eyes to the woman before him. "Just...send a note if you need my help or something," he added softly, a little reluctant to just leave her in the cold to go shopping for a tub. By sending a note, he was obviously referring to the mode of communication they so often used over flying notes; the same sort of communication they used so many years ago in their first month together when they wanted to speak without being in the same room.

Vianna gave a warm smile and nodded her head as Ferris reminded her to send a note if she needed his help. But she didn't move. She remained frozen just a few steps away from the fireplace, watching the sight before her with amused blue eyes. But this was something she'd never really thought she'd see - there was her husband sitting at the dining table in his pajamas, looking rather tired (obviously from the lack of a proper night's rest), carrying a baby in his arms, and with furry little creatures roaming around in the background, finishing up the food on their bowls. It was just... funny. But incredibly endearing at the same time. "You make such a cute housewife, Professor," the girl teased, flashing the young man a playful grin before turning and grabbing a handful of floo powder from somewhere, giggles escaping her lips as she stepped into the fireplace and soon disappeared in a fire of green flames.

Ferris, whose brown eyes had drifted back to Gabe and started to sparkle, looked up from the sight of his baby boy as Vianna spoke. His eyebrows rose as he realized she was still standing there, listening as she then very casually informed him that he made a cute housewife. His jaw dropped at this comment, brows furrowing though obvious amusement sneaked in behind his expression. "I'm not a housewife!" he growled playfully at the woman as she grabbed a handful of floo powder and headed out of the room, surrounded by her own beautiful giggles. He gave an amused grin as she left the room, shaking his head as his mind fell over her statement, listening as he heard her step into the fireplace. "Hurry home, darling!" the young man called after her jokingly as though he was an actual housewife, obviously rather amused with the comparison though he'd never admit it to her face.

It was freezing outside. Having spent all this time indoors had sort of made Vianna forget just how cold English winters were, though the little town near their home did look almost fairytale-like covered up in sparkling white snow. It was a beautiful sight; a beautiful sight that had her teeth chattering as she made her way through the mildly crowded streets.

But, as promised, the girl returned home only about half an hour later. She didn't like being so far from her little family for too long, and the warmth of their home had never felt so welcoming as it did at that moment, when she apparated into the living room in a fire of green flames, some flakes of snow resting on her clothes. Carrying a large box in her arms, Vianna walked out of the fireplace and into the living room, taking a moment to readjust the package in her arms before heading up the stairs to the second floor. "I'm home, dear!" she called out teasingly, playfully, to her husband, a number of giggles escaping her lips as she did so.

OOC: I should get off now Deeee Derupersss! But I'll definitely be on tomorrow!

Ferris was upstairs in the nursery with little Gabe, currently burping the little baby who was about to fall asleep but kept letting out tiny hiccups that made a clear indication that he needed to be burped. Or at least that was how his father interpreted it. It was in the nursery that the young man first heard Vianna's footsteps coming up the stairs, giving a large, amused smile as she called out that she was home and addressing him with the title of 'dear' as though he was a housewife. "In the nursery!" he called back with a soft chuckle. But it was then that he realized he had a baby resting against his bare chest, a towel over his shoulder to catch anything that Gabe might decide to show the world, a clip that helped fasten a onesie in his hair (don't ask), a blanket on his lap, all the while rocking in a rocking chair. Lovely. Before he could change any of his very housewife-y situation, the nursery door was already opening and his face grew serious, brown eyes widening as they set on the girl who he knew must've been completely amused by the sight of him. "Not one word," he said firmly, eyes narrowed as he continued to gently pat Gabe's little back, looking very much like a passive-agressive-housewife-whose-just-had-a-long-day without meaning to.

ooc: Alright Ruthersss, byeeee! See you tomorrow!
& LOL Ferris!

Vianna smiled to herself as she heard Ferris's reply from the nursery and made her way there with the box still in hands. She was distracted by it, though, and didn't really notice the scene taking place in the nursery as she set the box down on the wooden floors of the room, beside the door. It wasn't until she came back up to her full height that the girl's crystal blue eyes fell upon what must have been the most amusing sight she had ever witnessed. Her eyes widened, as did her smile, though her jaw was hanging a bit with a mix of stunned disbelief and pure amusement on her features. And then, just as she was about to tease the young man senseless, he was already warning her not to say a word, his expression and tone only making the sight all the more amusing.

The girl tried her best not to, but found herself unable to hold in the fit of giggles that escaped her lips at that moment. "Stay right there," said the girl between giggles before turning suddenly, walking right out the door and making her way across the hall, into her room. It took her a few minutes, but after much rummaging around, the girl was able to find their camera. It was one they'd acquired a while back, during the time they'd taken a year off to travel all around Europe. It was magical, of course, so it produced moving pictures, but that also meant it was rather large, bulky and old-fashioned (no ultra-slim touchscreen digital camera, that's for muggles). Still giggling lightly to herself, Vianna very quickly made her way back to the nursery room, and before Ferris could really get a chance to complain or even fully realize what was going on, a bright flash showered the room in light.

Eagerly, Vianna pulled out the moving photograph that developed right at that moment, one which consisted of a very startled-looking Ferris looking very much like your typical housewife after a very long and tiring day cleaning around the house and taking care of a baby all by herself. Vianna's giggles only seemed to increase as she admired the photograph, absentmindedly placing the camera aside on top of the wardrobe full of drawers. "This is going straight to Gabe's baby book!" Vianna announced with a grin, opening one of the drawers at that moment and pulling out the light green (just like everything else in the room) baby book the couple had been given during the baby shower so many months ago.

OOC: I couldn't help it!

Ferris's dark brown eyes only narrowed further at the sight of Vianna's blue eyes widening along with her smile, watching as all of the amusement in the world fell into those features he knew so well. "Don't you laug--!" but he was cut off as she suddenly told him to stay right where he was and ran out of the room. His eyes widened, completely confused (and a little apprehensive) as to what she went to go get, "VIANNA!" he called after her, figuring this was an appropriate complaint for whatever it was that Vianna was mischieviously getting into at that moment. He let out a sigh/growl, rolling his eyes as he sat up a bit more with Gabe, patting his back gently for a couple moments before he realized that the little guy had fallen asleep. His eyebrows rose at this and he was just giving a faint smile when Vianna very suddenly reappeared in the room. Just as he was looking up with raised eyebrows, mouth half open due to the fact that he was about to speak, the room very suddenly filled with a bright flash. "Wha?!" he called, disillusioned as small dots began to cover his line of vision. His brows furrowed, realizing that that was a camera and he must've looked right into the flash he didn't know was there, and was just trying to find which way was up when Vianna's giggles began to fill the room. "VIANNA!," his annoyed voice filled the room once more, listening that she then decided that this would look great in Gabe's baby book. "Hey! Wha'?! NO!" he said upon seeing her rummaging around with the baby book from the drawer, slowly regaining his vision.

The young man quickly got to his feet in order to very gently place his baby boy in his crib, making sure that he was happily asleep before throwing the 'throw-up' towel (which didn't have anything really gross on it, thank goodness) to the floor and turning his gaze to the woman across the room from him. "You better put that book down Vianna," Ferris seethed with narrowed brown eyes, his stance as though he was ready for a fight, though he tried to keep his voice down as Gabe was indeed sleeping right behind him. (But really, his father had been throwing yells across the room when he was sitting on his chest, so if that didn't wake up the little guy, nothing would. It would seem as though Gabe had inherited his father's way of sleeping; nothing wakes me up unless it's important.)

Vianna was kneeling before the drawer as she rummaged around for the baby book she intended to place this photograph into; but as she caught sight of Ferris getting up and placing little Gabe in his crib, the girl quickly jumped up to her feet, baby book held tightly in her arms like it was her most prized possession, and the photograph in her right hand. "No way," Vianna replied stubbornly, shaking her head as Ferris asked her to put the book down. She only seemed to grow more and more amused by his annoyance, which only seemed to fuel her mischief, her need to do something just to drive her husband absolutely insane. But this was Vianna, and even motherhood wouldn't change her almost childlike mischief-causing ways. Giggling, the girl turned on her heel and swiftly made her way out of the nursery, both with the intention of finding glue and taking the noise away from little sleeping Gabe, not wanting to disturb the baby from his slumber.

Ferris's eyes widened as Vianna immediately decided that there was no way she would put the baby book down, holding it to herself like it was the best thing she'd ever had in her life. "Vianna," he replied in a warning tone, taking a slow step towards her across the nursery, cautiously as though she was a dangerous animal. But before he could even get anywhere near her, Vianna was racing out of the room and out of sight, only leaving a trail of her melodious giggles behind her. The young man had no mind to admire them as he usually did, quickly racing after her and shutting the nursery door behind him absentmindedly, his brown eyes never leaving the sight of the woman who appeared to be heading towards the stairs. "VI!" he yelled after her in a growl, quickly chasing after her without half as much grace to his movements.

Vianna very swiftly made her way down the stairs, giggles still adorning every step she took, and her arms still holding on tightly to the light green baby book. She skipped the last step and settled on one of the armchairs in the living room, beside the nicely decorated large Christmas tree. The girl set the book down on her lap and flipped back to one of the first pages, pulling out her wand and placing a sticky charm on the back of the photograph of housewife!Ferris. Still giggling lightly to herself, the girl placed the back of the photograph onto the second page of the baby book (the first already had a couple pictures of newborn Gabe), where the sticky charm took effect and glued tightly onto the page. "Oh, Professor," muttered Vianna casually as she turned her gaze to the young man who had followed her from upstairs. "Since you're standing already, do you think you could fetch me a quill, please?" she asked innocently, as if she was just writing a letter home rather than a caption for a very embarrassing picture of her husband.

Ferris's only words appeared to come out as growls as he followed his wife down the stairs as quickly as he could, though he was a good number of steps behind her as she finally touched down in their living room and took a seat in an armchair. Just as he himself found his way to the hardwood floors with blazing brown eyes, the young woman had already set the picture in place on the second page of the baby book, very casually asking if he could get her a quill since he was already up. The young man stood before her with narrowed, glaring eyes, expression stony as he watched her for a long moment. And then, out of nowhere, he'd reached down and picked up his wife's petite frame only to throw her over his shoulder, all the while "accidently" letting the book fall from her lap, starting towards the stairs.

He was up their staircase in just a few seconds, pretty much ignoring the fact that Vianna was over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and leading them into their bedroom with a scowl prominent on his expression. Closing the door behind him (and locking it for the sake of Vianna's escape skills), the young man finally released his wife, putting her down on their unmade bed unceremoniously only to stand right before her with narrowed brown eyes that were so obviously glaring at her shamelessly. "You are a horrible, horrible little gem."
