OOC: Oh, gotcha!

Ferris gave a brief nod as Vianna asked if he was ready, giving a soft smile at the sight of her dressed in another one of his argyle sweaters, though her balloon of a belly was no longer there. That was so strange to him as he slipped his arm around her, feeling that there was nothing really between them anymore. Granted, not every last bit of her belly was back to its slender form as the baby had just been delivered yesterday, but it was a good deal smaller now and it felt much more like the Vianna he knew so well for years before Gabe came about. He returned the sweet peck she placed on his lips lovingly, gently handing over the baby as she offered to help him with all that he was carrying (though he had a feeling it was just because she wanted to steal away Gabe). Ferris shamelessly admired the sight of his wife holding their baby boy, completely endeared with how well Gabe fit into his mother's arms, obviously quite at home there as Vianna cooed something to him in swift Italian. Ferris could understand it for the most part, just because of some of the similarities between it, English, and French. But by no means was Ferris any way fluent, and he could tell that he might have a bit of trouble understanding what Vianna was saying to Gabe from here on out. At the same time, however, the young man loved that Gabe would grow up around the Italian language, knowing how much Italy and its culture were a part of his wife's life and happiness. It was only right for the little guy to be immersed in it early on.

It was then that Vianna turned to him, suggesting that they get going and showing off one of those beautifully overjoyed smiles that only Vianna could make so sweet. "Alright," he agreed softly, pressing a warm kiss to her forehead before heading out of the hospital room with his wife and newborn baby, starting down towards the main floor to officially check out and use their floo hub to get back home.

By the time the couple arrived to their cozy little home, the weather outside had returned to its usual ways - windy, cloudy, and filled with snow. And even though the house was a little chilly as no fireplaces had been lit in quite a while, just the sight of it made Vianna feel completely cozy right away. Everything about it, about its atmosphere was just so warm and welcoming, so filled with love, just like the couple that took care of it. From their sleeping spots all over the living room, Pigro, Sporco, Dolce, Fluffy, Turnip, and Amber all came running toward the couple, each greeting their owners in their own way. Before leaving, the couple (Ferris, most likely) enchanted their pets' food and water bowls to re-fill whenever they ran on empty, so their little pets didn't have to suffer from hunger while they were away. "Hey guys," Vianna greeted their pets with the brightest of smiles, all of which stared at the bundle wrapped up in a blanket that was resting in her arms. "We've got a visitor, one that's here to stay for many, many years," the girl announced with another grin, as if their pets understood a word she was saying. "Questa è la tua casa, Gabriel," Vianna said softly to the little one in her arms, announcing to him that this was his new home.

But poor little Gabe didn't even have his eyes open yet, so he couldn't really admire his new surroundings. This got Vianna turn a little curious as she stepped out of the fireplace and deeper into the living room, her blue eyes curiously and adoringly examining the little face that looked so merry all wrapped up in blankies. "When do you think he'll open his eyes, Professor?" Vianna asked, her gaze glued to the little baby in her arms, a little anxious to see what colour little Gabe's eyes were; would they be brown like Ferris's or blue like hers? What if he had neither eye colour, what if he surprised them the way Vittorio surprised Victor and Airi when he was born with his grandmother's eyes instead? It was something that had Vianna curious, but for the most part it wasn't so much that she wanted to see the colour of his eyes, but rather she just wanted to see him looking back at her, to hold a gaze with the little person she'd come to love more than life itself in just a few hours.

Ferris gave a bit of a grin as they arrived home, immediately comforted by the sight of such a cozy and familiar place, happy to see all of their beloved pets running towards them. "Hey guys," he said with a soft chuckle, leaning down to pet them and satisfy all of their needs to be given attention immediately as most pets did. He listened as Vianna announced to the animals that they had a visitor who would be staying for many, many years and the young man let out a hearty chuckle at this, rather amused with how they'd gotten in the habit of speaking to their pets as though they could understand. He was just standing up straight, stepping out of the fireplace, when Vianna spoke to Gabriel in soft Italian, welcoming him home, the young man could only assume with the warm smile that crossed his face. Once both of them were out, Ferris lit up the fireplace into a roaring fire, immediately allowing the room start warming up.

He gave a soft sigh at the feel of the warmth coming from the one spot before growing distracted as Vianna spoke, asking when he thought that Gabe would open his eyes. Ferris turned to look at his wife and baby boy, smiling on instinct at the sight of them and came over to her side, brown eyes fixed on Gabe's precious little face. "I'm not sure. I hear that a lot of babies can open their eyes right after birth and that others just wait a bit before opening them...because they're really sleepy or they just haven't really gotten there yet," he explained softly, thoughtfully, wondering when exactly Gabe would grace them with the sight of his eyes. "It could happen whenever he wants it to," the young man added before turning to his wife and smiling at her, pressing a warm kiss to her cheek.

"Hmm..." Vianna muttered softly as Ferris explained to her that perhaps little Gabe hadn't gotten there yet, her blue eyes examining the calm little baby resting in her arms that barely resembled the wailing one she'd been holding that morning. But even wailing and disturbing the peace, Gabe was the most adorable and the sweetest little thing she had ever set eyes on. He was just... so cute, so precious to her, she couldn't help but fall in love with him all over again every time her eyes fell upon that adorable little face. The girl smiled warmly as Ferris placed a kiss to her cheek, just quietly admiring her son, relishing in the feel of his tiny body in her arms. "Should we show him his room?" asked Vianna, finally tearing her gaze away from little Gabe and turning it to her husband instead with a bright smile adorning her lightly tanned face.

Ferris grinned as Vianna asked if they should show little Gabe his room, a question that he couldn't help but grow excited for. But these past eight and a half months, they'd been spending their weekends and evenings painting the walls or setting up the crib (Ferris did this, as he wouldn't let Vianna anywhere near tools or heavy-lifting), putting together the changing table and setting up all of the supplies (like diapers and bottles and pacifiers) that they'd gotten from the baby shower. Everything had been ready for Gabe, he just hadn't been there to enjoy it just yet, and it was something that both of his parents were extremely excited to get to. Or at least, Ferris sure was. So the young man gave a nod and a warm smile at this idea, starting up the stairs quickly and waiting at the top of them in the loft until Vianna could catch up with Gabe, knowing she had to be a bit more careful since she was holding him. It was so crazy and so wonderful to see little Gabe there, officially out, in their arms and a whole nother person out and about in their home.

Vianna gave a light giggle of amusement as she was able to read her husband's excitement on his features, able to see he was clearly and enthusiastic about the idea of showing little Gabe his new room as she was. She followed after him as he quickly made his way over to the stairs and then up the steps to the second floor, her own pace much slower as she didn't want to fall or trip or anything of the sort while holding her precious baby boy. The last thing she wanted was for the little one to get hurt! What kind of mother would she be?! It was a little ironic, actually, just how cautious and careful she was now, paranoid to ever hurt her little baby, when before the pregnancy she was the type to run up the stairs without a care for falling or tripping, always letting excitement rule over logic or caution. Once on the second floor, Vianna made her way over to the nursery alongside her husband, beaming at the sight of the bright, pastel-green-painted room. Despite the gloomy weather outside, there was enough light entering through the window to brighten up the room, to sort of make it glow. "Here we are..." said Vianna softly, almost as if she herself was seeing the nursery for the first time. She glanced down at Gabe and chuckled softly as he yawned to himself, just then remembering that the little one obviously couldn't really see his room just yet.

Ferris opened the door to the nursery for both Vianna and the little baby in her arms, smiling on instinct at the sight of the pastel green room, brightened up despite the fact that the weather was rather gloomy outside; this room just seemed to glow. And it was beautiful with the crib up against the far wall next to the window, the mobile that his grandmother made spinning around and twinkling softly as the glass touched every once in a while. Next to the crib was a rocking chair, also dressed in a pastel green cushion, looking rather comfortable for whoever wanted to rock Gabe to sleep should he need it. And then, along another wall there was the changing table, equipped with diapers, bottles, and pacifiers, along with most of Gabe's clothes and onesies, most of which were gifts from the baby shower. There was a nice, dark green rug in the center of the hardwood floor, matching most of everything else in the room, from the walls to the pictures, to the crib. "What do you think Gabe?" Ferris said softly with a warm smile, as though the baby would suddenly open his eyes and respond in eloquent sentences.

"I think he likes it," Vianna announced with a grin as Ferris spoke, obviously not really having a way to tell, she was just guessing. But then her gaze returned to the baby in her arms, watching as a new expression took over his tiny features; it was one of... discomfort, it seemed. And then, just like that, his little mouth opened and the most loud and blood-curling of shrieks began to echo in the room. Gabe wailed loudly, so loudly you'd think someone was purposely harming him or something. Vianna's blue eyes widened in surprise - what had brought this on?! "Al--Alright, Gabe... y--you don't have to sleep here if you don't want... w--we'll fix it around to your liking, alright?" said the girl, obviously flustered, unsure what to do. Then she realized - what am I saying?! Of course Gabe wasn't crying over the room! He couldn't even see it! So then... what was wrong?! Why was he crying so loudly, so strongly, his little face turning even more pink than before? She rocked the baby gently in her arms, but he seemed to be having none of it. Oh no... had she done something wrong? "Professor... what did I do?!" she asked her husband, completely panicked, not sure how to fix this.

Ferris gave a soft chuckle as Vianna decided that Gabe liked this room, really having no way to truly tell, but he didn't mention that, assuming that the little boy liked it just the same. He was just gazing over their nursery, realizing that they would now have a little baby to actually enjoy this room, when Gabe suddenly started to wail, his horrible shrieks filling every corner of the room as though someone was actually hurting him. Alarmed, the young man jumped up in surprise, turning to the source of the noise only to see Vianna trying her best to console the little guy though it really wasn't working. Brown eyes wide, he searched his mind as to what could possibly be wrong with the little guy, but couldn't come up with anything just as Vianna asked what she should do, obviously just as panicked as he was. "Uhh..." was the boy's response, brows furrowed and body tense as he wracked his brains for what could be the matter. Food? No, he'd just gotten plenty back at the hospital. Diaper? No, that'd just been changed at the hospital too! (...let's pretend. ) He glanced around the room for a moment in a panic before his eyes rested upon one of the pacifiers, thinking on it for a moment before darting over to pick it up and returning to Gabe's side. "Shh..." the young man murmured as he gently put the pacifier in the baby's mouth, causing the wailing to come to a stop as the little baby occupied himself with sucking on the newly found object that was somehow a comfort to his little gums. Ferris let out a sigh of relief, realizing that Gabe just wanted something comfortable to suck on, and turned to Vianna with a wary sort of weak smile. "Do you mind if I hold him?" he asked softly, hesitantly, as he spotted the tear streaks still on the little baby's face. But he had this instinct that he'd never really felt before, a strong tug in the pit of his stomach that made him want to make sure this little baby was alright, to make sure he was content.

Vianna watched as Ferris quickly made his way over to one side of the room and grabbed a pacifier, gently placing it in the tiny baby's mouth and causing his wailing and shrieking to stop. Vianna still looked a little startled as she watched Gabe relax into her arms once more, before the young man at her side then asked if he could hold the baby. Vianna nodded her head slightly, her forehead creasing a bit as she very gently and carefully handed over the newborn. But she couldn't help feeling a little bad - no, horribly bad, actually. Her baby, her precious son had obviously been in some sort of discomfort, and she had been completely useless in helping him, not having known what to do. Obviously, this wasn't the young mother's fault; she didn't have any experience and this was only her first day as a mother, after all. But still, Vianna couldn't help feeling a little guilty as she watched the tiny baby that was now so calm and comfortable in his father's arms. What if she turned out to be a completely horrible mother? What if little Gabe grew up to hate her or fear her because she was unable to help him when he cried? And it was a little funny, actually, how before the baby was born the girl had felt so confident that they'd make great parents, that everything would be nice and beautiful and perfect and she'd instinctually know all she needed to do. But now? Now she wasn't so confident, now she was growing a little worried and paranoid, afraid she might not really get to be the mother she dreamed of being, that she might not be able to provide Gabe with the comfort and care he would be needing almost every hour of the day.

Ferris gently took little Gabe into his warm arms, softly setting the little baby's chest up against his own broad shoulder, allowing the little guy to glance out over his shoulder as he absentmindedly rocked him up and down, stroking his back all the while. He knew that babies generally liked this sort of thing from his observations around Nathan(however fuzzy they were), and hoped that Gabe would calm just as much by them as Nathan had as a newborn baby. But just as he was getting comfortable with this, helping Gabe to calm down a good deal, Ferris's brown eyes settled in on the sight of his wife who seemed to be very, very upset by something. "Vi?" the young man spoke softly, concern filling his gaze as his brows furrowed slightly. "What's wrong?" he asked gently as he came closer to her, suddenly desperately wanting to know what was worrying his wife so he could make it stop. It was just another one of his instincts, and whatever this was, it appeared to really be upsetting her.

Vianna was snapped from thoughts as Ferris suddenly addressed her, calling her name softly and asking what was wrong. The girl gave him a small smile, suddenly feeling a little hesitant to tell the young man what exactly was on her mind. What if he was like, 'Yeah I agree, Vi, you're a pretty horrible mum'?! No... no, her husband wouldn't say something like that, Vianna was sure. Her brows furrowed slightly as she shook her head to herself, pushing those thoughts away. "I just..." she started, not sure how to phrase this without sounding completely ridiculous, "It's just... I feel like... I had Gabe in my arms, and he was obviously asking me for something, but I just... I couldn't give it to him," she explained softly, her guilty gaze falling upon the tiny baby resting against Ferris's chest. "I just don't want to be... a bad mum," she confessed softly with a sigh. "I know it's not supposed to be easy in the first place, but..." she trailed off then, unable to really explain herself any further, but knowing she'd at least gotten her main point across - that she was beginning to grow terribly worried she might not become the mum she thought she would be.

OOC: Bahahaha at the Ferris in Vianna's head and his reaction...

Ferris watched with concern evident in his gaze as Vianna spoke, obviously a bit unsure as to where to start as she began starting and stopping, finally able to explain that she had Gabe in her arms, asking her for something, and she just couldn't give it to him. The young man's brows furrowed further at this, trying to understand exactly what she was getting at though he had a pretty good idea as to what was going on in his wife's mind. And then, confirming his assumptions, she then confessed that she just didn't want to be a bad mum. Ferris let out a breathless, humourless chuckle at her words, coming closer to her as he stared her down with his brown eyes, clearly rather endeared and concerned that she was even worried about that. "Aw, Vi," he murmured to her as he leaned in to kiss her forehead lovingly. "Do you think I understood him anymore than you did?" he asked her with amused raised eyebrows. "I just had a lucky guess with the pacifier, and I was just as freaked out as you were," he promised her as he gave her a soft smile. "We're not going to fully get the hang of this until we really get used to it. We've had him around for a day," Ferris reminded her with a soft chuckle. "We're not supposed to have this down yet, I promise." He brought up a free hand to tuck some of her hair behind her ear before returning that hand to Gabe's back just to make sure he stayed put. "And I can already tell you're going to be a good mother, gem," he added more softly, his voice gentle as he gave her a warm, encouraging smile. "Just the way you look at him and the way you hold him...It's natural for you. We just don't have enough experience yet to fully know exactly what he needs 24/7 yet..."

ooc: Hehehe Paranoid!Vi strikes again.

Vianna was still a little panicked, worried of what Ferris's reaction might be and hoping dearly that it wouldn't be a negative one (but paranoid Vianna hardly thought straight, and often forgot that even if Ferris did ever think she wasn't that great of a mum, he wouldn't be so blunt to just break the news to her so abruptly). Her gaze left little Gabe's back and turned to his brown eyes instead as the young man came closer to her, placing a kiss on her forehead, one which immediately sent a wave of tranquility to wash over her. She gave him a small smile then, and listened as he asked her if she thought he had understood their little baby any more than she did. The girl's smile turned a little more sheepish then, listening as he went on to explain that he just got lucky with the pacifier and was just as freaked out as she was, something that made the girl feel a little better as at least now she knew she wasn't the only one in the room who had been completely clueless. But she said nothing yet, and instead listened as he continued, assuring her that they weren't supposed to have this down yet, that they just didn't have the experience yet, but she seemed a lot happier and relieved as he assured her that she was going to be a good mother, that he could tell just by the way she looked at little Gabe and held him. Vianna's smile widened then, and she was finding it difficult to wipe it off her lightly tanned face. "I'm glad you think so, Professor," she said softly, blue eyes nearly sparkling. "I just... hope we learn this parenting thing quickly, I don't want little Gabe to feel like he can't trust us in taking care of him," she muttered softly, knowing that this was going to be no easy task. But even so, it was still something she was looking forward to greatly; to take care of her child, to protect him and keep him healthy... she wanted it, she wanted to be the best mother she could be to little Gabe.

OOC: A new action figure for the collection!

Ferris gave a warm smile as Vianna's expression seemed to lighten up with his words, listening as she then mentioned how glad she was that he thought she'd be a good mother before hoping aloud that they'd learn this parenting thing quickly as she didn't want Gabe to think he couldn't trust them with taking care of him. The young man gave a warm smile at this, rather amused with how Vianna seemed to assume Gabe would start making judgements at the age of two days and creating reports on how horrible his parents were. But he understood what she meant and agreed with it wholeheartedly, also hoping that this parenting thing would be gotten down sooner rather than later and Gabe would be all the happier for it. "I'm sure we'll get the hang of it soon enough," Ferris promised his wife with a warm smile, pecking her lips lovingly as his dimples came out of hiding before he brought Gabe back down from his shoulder gently, setting him back in his arms in a cradle position. "Hmmm...I think he's fallen asleep," the young man murmured with an amused smile. It appeared to be naptime for the little guy.

Vianna smiled warmly as Ferris assured her they'd get the hang of parenting soon, before his lips met her own in a sweet peck kiss she was quick to return lovingly. It was then that the young man brought the baby back down from his shoulder and set him back in his arms instead, Vianna's crystal blue eyes sparkling brightly at this. But she loved seeing their little baby's adorable face, and she loved seeing the little one in his father's arms, admiring this scene like it was the most adorable sight on earth. Which to her, it was. It was then that Ferris announced that little Gabe had fallen asleep, and the girl's gaze seemed to only turn even more endeared. "It seems so," she agreed softly, blue eyes examining the baby's peaceful sleeping face. "He can finally try out his new crib," she announced with a bright grin, quickly moving over to the crib and fixing the blankies on it so they could keep the crib warm for the little baby.

Ferris gave the warmest of smiles as Vianna announced that little Gabe could finally use his crib, a comment that got his heart to swell slightly, realizing that their little baby boy would be able to finally use the thing he'd built for him, the baby bed that had been left empty for the past couple months. Now it would finally be used. And the young man gently set Gabe down in his crib after Vianna fixed up the blankets, slowly lowering him until his little back reached the comfortable fluffy mattress that coated the bottom of the beautiful crib. Ferris gently removed Gabe's little blanket that was keeping him bundled up, allowing his little legs and arms all to be seen as he laid down in the crib, quickly being covered and tucked in by his parents' loving hands, making sure he was warm enough.

Vianna was admiring the sight of little Gabe laying on his back with a peaceful sleep clear on his features (since his eyes being closed didn't really hint at sleeping because they were always closed), when suddenly, the baby began to move just as they were tucking him in. His little arms moved, that familiar expression of discomfort beginning to twist his features and a few sounds escaping his lips, sounds that could've been complaints or signs of joy for all the couple knew. But judging by the little one's expression, he seemed like he might just burst into tears any second. Oh no! Oh no, oh no, oh no... Vianna began to panic a little once again - why was Gabe looking like that? What was wrong? He looked like he might just cry any second! They had to do something before he started! "Professor, there's something wrong," said the girl softly, though she was sure the young man might have noticed that already by now. She examined the baby quietly for the next couple moments which felt so eternally long, as the seconds counted down to the moment their little one might burst into tears. What was wrong? Vianna examined him closely, watching the way the discomfort seemed to grow, the way his little arms began to move around. But he was just fine, sleeping merrily a second ago! He only got like this when they tucked him in!

Vianna's brows furrowed slightly then. Wait a minute... She brought an arm into the crib then, her hand gently meeting the edge of the blankie covering their baby and slowly pulling it back, revealing the rest of the little baby who was still all covered up in his little light green onesie that covered him almost completely, only leaving his tiny hands revealed, as his little feet were covered by the warm booties. And then, just like that, little Gabe's movements slowed and he seemed to fall into a state of relaxation and comfort once more. Vianna's eyebrows rose slightly at this, a little surprised by the baby's reaction to something as simple as having the blankie pulled off him. "I think... perhaps he was too warm," she guessed, honestly not sure, though it seemed this was what had been going on, as little Gabe's attire alone was enough to keep the little one warm, and being all wrapped up in the clothes and blankies for so long was causing him to heat up.
But he was completely calm now, peacefulness very easy to read on his tiny features. He was just so... adorable! Unable to help herself, Vianna leaned into the crib then and placed a very gentle, loving kiss on her son's cheek, letting it last a couple moments longer than necessary before pulling back with the brightest of smiles, her blue eyes sparkling brightly at the sight of him sound asleep.

Ferris had just pulled his hands back from the crib and started to turn around, seeing that his son was sufficiently covered up in his little blankets, when Vianna suddenly spoke and informed him that something was wrong. Brown eyes widening just slightly, he turned back to little Gabe only to see him moving around and squirming, a look of complete discomfort on his little face, his mouth opening and closing in a way that made it seem as though he was about to wail out and cry. His pacifier slipped from his lips, falling to the blanket as he invoked an extreme sense of panic in his mother and father. What was he supposed to do?! Ferris couldn't think of anything that was wrong with hm, gently offering him to pacifier but that didn't work. And then Vianna, ingenius Vianna, gently removed the blanket from around the little baby and successfully got Gabe's tiny expression to relax in comfort.

Ferris's eyebrow rose at this, relief spreading through him as he turned to his wife with amazed brown eyes, listening as she then guessed that Gabe had been a little too warm for his liking. He let out a soft, humourless and disbelieving chuckle at this before grinning and turning back to Gabe only to see a complete look of comfort on his tiny expression. "And you said you were worried about taking care of him..." the young man pointed out with an amused smile, his lanky arms slipping around his wife as she leaned down to give Gabe a kiss on the cheek. He pulled her close, chin coming to rest on her shoulder as she straightened up, and relished in the feel of her waist so accessable once more, so much easier to pull into himself and wrap her up in his arms as he so liked to do.

Vianna gave a rather overjoyed giggle as Ferris teased her about her earlier concerns on not being a good-enough mummy to Gabriel. "It was just a lucky guess," she said with a soft chuckle, her voice very soft as she didn't want to disturb their precious little bundle of joy from his much-needed sleep. She couldn't bring her eyes to tear away from him, a smile adorning her lightly tanned face as the young man beside her wrapped his arms around her after awarding their son a kiss, his chin then resting on her shoulder. "He's so adorable, Professor..." Vianna commented almost dreamily as she examined the sight of the little one in his crib, already deep asleep. She was quiet for the next few moments after that comment, allowing a comfortable silence to fall between them as they merely admired their little baby, their new company. It wasn't just the two of them anymore, and though Vianna did love every second she could spend alone with her husband, she was still rather excited about the idea of sharing this time with their little baby as well, with this beautiful being that was made entirely out of herself and the young man she loved more than anything else in the world.

After long moments of silence, it was that Vianna spoke again, "Y'know... I know Gabe won't be this tiny forever," she started softly, her gaze still fixed on the sleeping baby resting in his crib, "And I know that babies are supposed to grow fast, that he won't be this tiny for long... And I want a sort of... reminder of this," she explained softly. "Not a photograph, but... a drawing, or a painting." It was then that the girl turned in the young man's arms, her blue eyes now meeting his own brown ones. "You haven't painted or sketched in a long time, with work and the bookstore and all," said Vianna, who never ceased to encourage the young man to continue practicing his amazing skill at drawing and painting. "Would little Gabe be enough inspiration to get his daddy to draw and paint again?" she asked with a hint of playfulness in her tones, her eyebrows raising slightly at the young man before her.

OOC: I'm off for 45 minutes to an hour or so Deee!

Ferris listened as Vianna mentioned how her instinct to remove the blanket from around their baby and ease his cries had been a lucky guess, a warm smile coming onto his face as he listened to her mention how adorable their baby boy was. His dark brown eyes came to rest on the sight of little Gabe, taking in how tiny he was, how adorable he seemed just laying there for a nap, the most precious thing that the young man had ever set his eyes upon. But he'd never been so taken aback by one thing in his life, never so amazed than he was at the fact that such a beautiful baby boy could come from his and Vianna's love for one another. It was beautiful.

And just as his eyes were glazing over with adoration for the little baby in his crib, Vianna spoke, starting to mention how Gabe wouldn't be this tiny forever. Ferris gave a brief nod at this, wondering what she was getting at as she continued to mention that babies were supposed to grow fast and that she just wanted a reminder of how small Gabe was at this current stage in his life. Eyebrows raising slightly, he listened as she then turned around in his arms and explained that she didn't want a photograph, but rather a drawing or a painting of their little baby boy at this new stage in his life. Realizing what she was getting at, a small, soft smile fell onto Ferris's features and he admired the sight of her as she then reminded him that he hadn't sketched or painted in a long time with all that had been going on and he gave a brief nod of agreement, knowing just how true this was. It felt like ages since he'd last picked up a pencil just to sketch something out, his life had become so busy... And then Vianna was looking at him with those beautiful blue eyes, asking if little Gabe would be enough inspiration to get his daddy to draw and paint again, a comment that got his heart to swell up in his chest. A warm smile crossed his features then, brown eyes admiring her shamelessly as he let out a soft chuckle, "I think that he's more than enough inspiration," he admitted, having actually thought about this as well. To be honest, when he'd first seen Gabe, in their first hours together when Gabe was just settling in with his parents... It was all just so beautiful to the young man that his instinct was to draw it, he too had been sort of wanting to jot it down in a sketch or a painting to remember it all, and he was glad that Vianna agreed. Looking at Vianna, finally just having her right there without any chaos or a beautiful baby to distract them, his brown eyes sparkled and his smile widened, "You know how amazing I think you are, don't you?" Ferris asked her as his dimples came out of hiding, leaning towards her to rest his forehead against her own. He was obviously referring to Vianna's performance the day before, of how much she'd gone through just to deliver their beautiful baby boy into the world. "You know how much I appreciate you, don't you, gem?" he murmured to her with a soft smile as he gently pressed a loving kiss to her cheek and then the side of her nose, slowly coming down to plant a sweet kiss to the very corner of her lips.

Vianna watched with nearly sparkling crystal blue eyes as Ferris smiled warmly at her, and she beamed as he confirmed that little Gabe was, indeed, more than enough inspiration to get him drawing or painting again. This was exactly what the girl had been hoping to hear, and she couldn't keep herself from filling up with all the excitement in the world, honestly quite eager to see a new work of art from her husband, as she had always been pretty much his biggest fan. But ever since he'd first shown her his sketches, and then drew that one drawing of her during their very first couple days as friends… she had fallen completely in love not only with him, but with his skill, his art, the beauty he was able to create using just a pencil and paper. And the idea of him drawing and painting again was exciting, but the idea of his subject being their precious baby boy… well, that was just plain beautiful, amazing, something she looked forward to greatly.

Vianna was distracted from these thoughts, though, as Ferris then asked if she knew how amazing he thought she was, something that completely caught the girl off-guard. Her eyebrows rose slightly for a moment before the warmest and brightest of smiles lit up her lightly tanned expression, admiring the sight of the young man so close to herself. She was flattered by his words, and grew even more so as he continued, asking her if she knew how much he appreciated her. Vianna smiled warmly at this, nodding her head slightly before his lips met her cheek, then the side of her nose, and then the corner of her lips. She giggled lightly at these gestures, relishing on the feel of his lips on her skin before turning her head just very slightly, just enough to get her lips to land on his own which had been resting on the corner of her lips, almost teasing her. She kissed him gently, sweetly, but incredibly lovingly, expressing in this gesture her love for him, her gratefulness for the way he'd cared for her during these last eight and a half months (and always, really), and her extreme joy and happiness of having created a beautiful little baby boy with him, with the only man she would ever want to be with, make a family with, the one she loved more than she had ever loved anyone - except perhaps Gabe. She loved the both of them just as much.

Ferris couldn't help but relish in the sound of her giggles filling the air around him, suddenly finding that she'd sweetly managed to plant her lips on his own in a wonderful kiss. He returned it immediately with all of the love he could possibly put into it, loving the feel of her lips on his own, kissing him just as sweetly as he was kissing her. All of his feelings came out in this kiss, something he hadn't exactly expected from himself but willingly let happen, his brown eyes shut tightly as he expressed how wonderful the birth of their baby made him feel, how excited he was to have Gabe there, how much respect and appreciation he had for the girl he was holding so close to himself for all of the pain and exhaustion she'd suffered through the day before. And it was odd, actually, how close he could get to her now, her large belly now completely gone (well, for the most part) as he pressed her right up against him, able to easy envelop her entire waist in his warm arms more comfortably than it'd been for the past eight and a half months. But when there was a baby in between them, he found himself being a lot more careful, more fragile with the way he pulled Vianna close to himself, and found that their kisses had to be a little more careful and less spontaneous so as not to put any real pressure on the baby. But now, now that there was nothing between the two of them, Ferris took no reservations in pulling her right up against himself, his lips treating her own as lovingly as he could as he let himself fall into the kiss completely.

Vianna's lips curved into a smile as she shared this wonderful gesture with the young man before her, able to read through his body language, through his lips, the many things he couldn't quite put into words but that flattered and charmed the girl completely when she was able t feel it from him. It felt so nice to be this close to him during a kiss, it was a proximity they'd had to give up on during the time that her belly was simply too large. But now there was finally nothing standing between them, and the couple was able to return back to those kisses they'd had to give up on for the past few months, those kisses that felt like heaven to the girl who eventually, after a few long moments, pulled back. As she pulled back, her crystal blue eyes fluttered open and her smile widened brighter than ever before. "C'mon," she said softly, taking the young man's hand and glancing over in Gabe's direction with the warmest of smiles before beginning to lead the way out, not wanting to disturb the little one from his sleep.

Upon breaking apart, Ferris's dark brown eyes fluttered open only to sparkle at the girl before him, a lopsided sort of grin falling onto his pale expression as he thought back to the wonderful kiss they'd just shared. He'd missed being able to get that close to her, feeling her that near to himself. As she spoke, suggesting that they go elsewhere, he gave a brief nod and followed her out of the room, brown eyes still fixed on the sight of her with clear admiration in his gaze. Once out of the room, he gently closed the door behind them and went down the stairs with his hand still intwined with her own, waiting until they reached the bottom until he suddenly turned around and released her hand. Admiring her for a quick moment, he very suddenly picked her up bridal style as he had so wanted to do for the past eight months, something he hadn't gotten to do for so long due to the fragile baby that had previously been growing inside of her. But now? Now it was just Vianna when he picked up Vianna, it was just his beautiful wife back to her normal size, easy to pick up and envelope in his arms as he did then, practically running over to the couch and plopping her down gently before sliding in beside her with a soft chuckle. His warm lanky arms slipped around her waist as he began to plant loving, adoring kisses to the side of her expression, all the while letting out a string of chuckles at his own excitement to have her back to being his gem and just his gem.
