Default That Summer - V.5!

This is a continued role-play created by hazydazy012, and thanks to Gryffindoll, emmafan123 and Lily Lupin this RP, plot and a couple characters are still thriving! It's one of our longest running RPs in a LONG time, if not the longest. So congrats to you girls for doing such a good job at keeping the thread(s) active, and enjoy.

This is version (5) FIVE, the first four threads have reached their post limits. From the original thread:

One year at Hogwarts a mysterious spell was cast that not even the professors can undo. You wouldn't be able to see a difference at Hogwarts, just looking at the school, but it actually made magic impossible! Not a single person or creature could cast a spell while in the school. How are the students supposed to learn when they can't try out the new spells? Sure, most were devestated, (Especially the 7th years! How are they supposed to finish their last year?!) but of course, some were estatic too! Who doesn't want to have a longer summer vacation? So, most students go home in high spirits TWO months before Hogwarts was officially supposed to be let out for summer break. Only one week into their luxuriously long holiday, every student recieves this letter:

"It is mandatory for any students who want to complete their year to attend "La Bacchetta Magica", a summer learning camp for wizards located in a small getaway near Tuscany. You will be finishing up the studies that were unfinished at Hogwarts. Please bring your wand and other necessary items for regular classes."

Fantastic. Some are angry, but most are excited! I mean, it's called "The Magic Wand" in Italian, for goodness sakes. It's gotta be fun. And guess what?! It is! Everyone is having a great time with the mix of school and just plain summer camp fun! How will the Divinations in the morning and campfires at night affect the students? You decide!

Please join! There will need to be a few professors/camp counselors! Even number of boys and girls, please. Post a bio with a picture, thanks!

(P.S. I looked up "La Bacchetta Magica" and it told me "The Magic Wand" but it was only an online translator. If I'm wrong, then whoops! Heehee)

The next few hours were the most exhausting Vianna had ever experienced in her life; the pain was barely there, that was good, but it didn't make the girl any less tired, any less exhausted. She'd always been a fit girl, even during her pregnancy she kept active and used swimming as her main method of exercise; but no work out was more draining than this one, it lasted for eternally long hours, and she was never, for a second, given a rest.

But it was all worth it, as once these hours had passed and Vianna was finally given a chance to breathe again, there was one more member in the group that stood in the delivery room. This new addition to the crowd was the least quiet of all; he wailed loudly, shamelessly, unaware of rules or his surroundings, completely new to the world, completely unknowing of anything and everything. The baby was not given to his parents right away, though; the nurses took him away for a brief few moments, just to have his overall health assessed, to make sure that everything was alright and he was perfectly healthy. His footprints were taken for official medical records, his weight was registered, his length recorded, and a quick sponge bath was given to the little one to clean him up nicely before he could be reunited with his mummy, who was also going through a number of changes herself.

By the time the parents could really see their baby and hold him in their arms, they had been transferred to a different room with the use of magic, so the mother didn't have to move around too much. But the room was new, the bed was new, the chairs were different, the walls were painted in a creamy, relaxing colour, and there was a new addition that hadn't been there before - it was like a crib, a place to hold the baby in (dunno the name of it), except there was no baby there yet. There was a large window on one of the walls, through which the night sky outside could be seen, snowflakes gently floating through the air. The atmosphere was completely different in this new room, it felt more calm more serene, more at peace. And this was what Vianna needed at that moment - pure serenity. She was completely drained, beginning to feel even a little drowsy, but she was sitting up on her bed, changed into a new, clean robe and looking more alert than ever before. Her big belly wasn't there anymore, and it was such a surreal feeling to not see it there, she felt so empty without it weighing her down. But this also meant something else, something incredibly exciting - little Gabe was out in the world! They were finally going to meet the baby that had been residing inside her for all these months!

Vianna's heart was racing rapidly, her blue eyes sparkling at the boy beside her with a joy that hadn't been there in the last few hours. And then, only a couple moments later, a nurse walked inside, holding something very tiny in a white blanket, something that had a little white hat on its head and was dressed in the tiny baby clothes Ferris had picked out earlier. Vianna's eyes watched as the nurse approached her with excitement basically glowing around her, like an aura, her crystal blue eyes sparkling brighter than they had ever sparkled before. And then, without a word, the nurse flashed Vianna the warmest of smiles before handing her the tiny creature she was holding in her arms, leaving the room soon after.

Vianna eagerly but very gently took the little one into her arms, her blue eyes finally falling upon the face of their son. He was... tiny! A little bit longer than most babies, but still incredibly tiny. His eyes were closed, and Vianna wasn't really sure if he was sleeping or if he just couldn't open his eyes yet (as most newborns didn't usually open their eyes right away after being born), until his head moved, seeming to accomodate himself a little more comfortably in the warm blanket. His skin was still rather pink in colour, and he was still just so incredibly tiny and new that it was almost impossible to see any strong resemblance to his mother or father in his features. His nose was still too tiny, his eyes weren't even open yet, and whatever hair he might have been born with was hidden beneath the little hat the nurses had placed on him to keep him warm.

After spending quite a few long moments just admiring the beautiful sight in her arms with the widest and warmest and most adoring of smiles on her face, Vianna spoke, "Professor...our little Gabe is so... tiny," she commented with a soft chuckle, her blue eyes never leaving the tiny baby who was now yawning sleepily in her arms, one of his own tiny little arms curving by the elbow and coming to rest calmly on his chest. He was the most beautiful, adorable, precious little thing Vianna had ever set eyes on, and she had never in her life felt as happy and complete as she did at that moment, holding her new baby, her son. She leaned in toward the little one, placing her lips gently on his forehead, letting them rest there for a couple long moments before pulling back with the brightest of smiles, her blue eyes glued to the little one, unable to look away from such an adorable, precious sight.

The delivery had felt long to the young man whose hand was being crushed by the force of a pregnant woman's pain, though he didn't seem to even feel it, his mind focused solely on the fact that his baby was coming into the world at that very moment. It all happened, right there before his eyes, standing right there beside his wife and helping to keep her calm, giving her soothing encouraging words. But he had never, not once in his entire life, felt so extraordinary, so amazed by one singular thing as he was by the birth of his baby boy. His brown eyes had sparkled with both amazement and a tear of happy relief ready to fall as Gabe was held up, wailing to the room and announcing his arrival, before Ferris turned his gaze to the girl at his side with the warmest of his amazed smiles, completely taken aback by what had just happened.

In the blink of an eye they appeared to be in a completely different room, one that was much more serene and calm, Vianna now dressed in a softer robe and in a clean bed, her face more beautiful than he'd ever seen it despite the clear signs of exhaustion in her features. His hand had yet to leave her own, his brown eyes still glued to her blue ones as they shared a small moment of mutual amazement and he leaned down to kiss her forehead lovingly before he grew distracted by the sound of a door creaking as it opened. The young man immediately stood up straight, his brown eyes scanning the room until he caught sight of the nurse entering with a little bundle of a white blanket. He could feel his heart skip in his chest, excitement filling his body as he realized that he was about to truly set eyes on little Gabe, clean and ready to be handed over to his parents after what had seemed like an eternity of waiting, one that he hadn't fully realized until he noticed how close they were to holding him.

Ferris watched with sparkling brown eyes as Gabe was handed to Vianna, and that was the first time that he was really able to look at his little boy. He was sure that his heart had stopped completely, couldn't feel it beating as it seemed to freeze as he did, pure amazement and adoration filling up every fiber of his being. He was the most beautiful thing the man had ever set his eyes on. And the realization that this baby was...theirs... Well that was a miracle he couldn't seem to really grasp just yet, completely and totally in awe of the little guy who was dressed in his green outfit, sleeping peacefully in his mother's arms. Ferris's brown eyes then drifted to Vianna as she broke the silence, commenting on how their little Gabe was so tiny. He let out a breathless chuckle at this, seeming to come back into his senses and register what was happening. "I-I know gem," he replied softly, finding himself a little choked up as he tried to pull himself together, never having expected to be so completely caught up in a singular sight. Nothing was more precious than that little boy resting in Vianna's arms, nothing had ever struck Ferris so much as when Vianna placed her lips on Gabe's forehead in a sweet gesture of pure love and adoration. He watched this for a long few moments, a sweet daze on his amazed features before he very gently climbed into the hospital bed next to his wife, coming to lay right at her side, a little too big for the length of the bed. His feet hung off just slightly though he didn't seem to notice, his brown eyes fixed on the little baby who was now so much nearer, taking in how beautiful the little guy was up close, each feature sweet and pink, soft and gentle.

Ferris brought up his hand very slowly, almost hesitant as though afraid the baby might disappear should he touch him. But he didn't want to disturb him, and so it took a couple moments for his hand to come close to Gabe, his finger hesitating for a moment before very gently stroking the little baby's smooth cheek. He let out an involuntary breath of amazement at the feel of the little guy under his touch, realizing that this was his son, their son.

Vianna turned to Ferris for a moment with the warmest of smiles as he came to join her on the hospital bed, her blue eyes following his hand as a hesitant fingers graced the tiny baby's cheek gently. His skin was so incredibly soft, so pure, so flawless. He was a perfect little thing, and Vianna was finding it a little difficult to fully convince herself - this was it. This was Gabe, the baby they'd been waiting for for so long. This was their precious little boy, their new responsibility. The girl was finding it impossible to look away from him, from that adorable little nose, from those sleeping eyes, from those lips. He was so... new, and small, and defenseless, and just... completely precious, adorable, the most amazing thing Vianna had ever set eyes on.

The girl still couldn't believe it - this was their son! They were officially parents! This little person would be the one to address them as 'mummy' and 'daddy' in the future! Life was taking a turn that the girl still couldn't fully believe, fully comprehend. It was still so surreal and new and amazing and just... beyond her. "Isn't he adorable?" she asked the young man at her side with the warmest of smiles permanently glued to her lightly tanned face, her crystal blue eyes fixed on the adorable baby that wouldn't fully stay still in her arms yet, still moving around in his blankie, turning his head, moving his little arms, as if trying to figure out where he was, what was going on.

OOC: Sorry Dee but I have to get off for maybe an hour or so! >.< Ughhhh! Sorry about that, but I'll be on all night tonight, so we'll have plenty of time for Fervi!

Ferris also had a hard time removing his gaze from the little baby wrapped up in his wife's arms, his finger still gently stroking the softest skin he had ever felt. He was so soft, so sweet and pure, he couldn't get over it. He very gently removed his finger, simply admiring the sight of little Gabe, when Vianna spoke and asked for confirmation that their son was adorable. The young man let out a soft chuckle at this question, brown eyes sparkling and unable to leave the sight of that little face. "He's adorable," he confirmed with the warmest grin that had ever graced his expression. Finally, after what could've been hours or minutes, Ferris turned to look at the woman at his side, brown eyes just as adoring as he watched her with his dimples still in full view. "You did so good, gem," he murmured to her as he pressed a loving kiss to her forehead, one arm gently slipping around her waist and keeping her into his chest, keeping the both of them into his chest. But his wife had just gone through something he knew had exhausted her completely and totally, and the end product was the most precious thing he'd ever had in his life, the most beautiful little creature that he'd ever been near. He planted another sweet kiss to her cheek before his brown eyes just had to return to Gabe, taking in the sight of the little baby that was made completely and totally of both him and his favourite person on the planet. It was hard to believe, and he still hadn't fully grasped the concept, his expression set in pure amazement as he reviewed the little baby that couldn't seem to sit still. "I can't believe he's here..." he murmured with a soft smile, still obviously disbelieving that the baby had come so early, so suddenly as he'd done on that day that was supposed to be just as normal as any other.

ooc: Awww alright Ruthersss! See you then!

Vianna grinned as Ferris confirmed to her that their baby was adorable, turning to him to flash him a smile before returning her gaze to the baby in her arms. As he then added that she had done well, awarding her a kiss to the forehead that got her smile to widen, Vianna turned to him with slightly raised eyebrows, before her expression turned into one of pure loving. "I couldn't have done it without you," she replied softly, leaning in toward him and placing a kiss on his cheek. "I hope your hand's okay, though..." she added, giving the young man an apologetic smile, though there was a bit of amusement behind her gaze, and an extreme amount of gratefulness. She rested back on her husband's chest then, as his arm slipped around her and they were both laying a little more comfortably on the bed, her gaze returning to little Gabe who continued to move, to explore his surroundings with his hands, cooing softly in his mother's arms. "I can't believe it either," said Vianna softly as Ferris expressed his own disbelief over Gabe's arrival. After a couple moments of silence, she turned her head to the young man she was currently resting her back against. "Do you want to hold him?" she asked with a bit of a grin, honestly rather endeared by the idea of seeing her husband hold his first son, his baby boy; she knew he'd been just as anxious and excited to hold the little one as she had been, and it wouldn't be fair that she hog him all up to herself. And so, she sat up, so the boy could retrieve his arm from around her, and then very gently handed him the tiny bundle in a white blanket, gently setting him in his father's arms, rather amused by how much smaller Gabe looked when being held by Ferris, who was obviously a lot larger than his 5'5" wife.

Ferris gave a warm smile as Vianna reminded him that she couldn't have done her delivery without him there, a comment that meant a good deal to the young man who had been feeling rather useless most of the day, unable to do anything. He let out a soft chuckle as she placed a kiss on his cheek and hoped aloud that his hand was alright, "I think it'll be fine..." he murmured, thinking to the right hand (which was currently hiding behind his wife's back) and realizing how sore it truly was. But he honestly didn't care, his mind still focused on the little family he now had just sitting in his arms, his brown eyes sparkling at the little baby for a moment before Vianna suddenly asked if he wanted to hold the little guy. As though just realizing this was even possible, Ferris's brown eyes lit up at the mere idea of it, his smile widening just slightly and his dimples growing more exposed. He gave a soft nod, not really finding many words at the moment as he retrieved his arm from around the girl at his side, watching as she then handed him the little bundle in a blanket over to him, setting him in his arms carefully.

Ferris's eyes had never sparkled so very much as they did at that moment, the most adoring of looks shining through his brown eyes as he gazed down at the little baby boy in his arms, his first son. He was so, so tiny...It was even more evident when he was bundled up right there in his arms, so very fragile and sweet, though still a bit bigger than the average baby (due to Ferris's genes, we can only assume). But he was so beautiful, so sweet and tiny right there next to his father's chest, held there comfortably by the young man who apparently had never seen anything more captivating. "Hey there Gabe..." he murmured softly to his little boy, realizing that they had yet to really speak directly to the baby. He watched as the little guy squirmed slightly, still trying to find comfortability in his bundle of blankets as he stretched out one of his tiny little arms. Ferris very gently brought one of his fingers towards the baby, allowing his own tiny hand to latch onto his finger and hold it in his grasp.

Vianna watched with pure adoration and endearment sparkling in her crystal blue eyes as Ferris held the tiny baby close to himself, greeting him softly before offering him a finger, which little Gabe was quick to take into his own tiny hand. The difference in size completely amazed the girl, as the tiny baby's head was probably even a little bit smaller than one of Ferris's hands. And his little hand - his tiny, precious little hand with its tiny little fingers looked completely adorable wrapped so tightly around his father's much larger finger. Vianna couldn't help but chuckle softly at the sight, completely endeared by it. "Do you remember that voice, Gabe?" Vianna asked the tiny baby that kept shuffling around in its blanket. "That's your dad," she informed the baby, only to receive a vague response from little Gabe who then raised his free arm up and allowed his rolled up little hand to brush against his eye, his brows furrowed, as if he was trying to rub his eyes the way one usually did when tired of sleepy. Vianna's blue eyes sparkled at the sight, completely endeared by every little movement their baby made, by every sound that came from his lips. Everything about him was perfect, completely precious, and the girl could almost feel her heart melt right then and there at such an adorable sight, at so much cuteness all bundled up into one little baby. "Do you think..." she started softly, this time addressing her husband, though her gaze was glued to the baby in his arms, "Do you think he has hair already?" she asked, this time turning her blue eyes to the man at her side. But some babies were born completely bald, and others were born with a bit of very thin hair.

Ferris's heart seemed to melt, his insides turning to a warm mush as Gabe's little tiny hand wrapped around his finger, the comparison in size completely insane to the young man who couldn't believe how tiny and adorable their baby was. He was just so cute... He watched as the little guy in his arms used his free hand to rub his eyes as though he was sleepy, his small hand curled up in a sweet little fist as he did so. "Aw.." the young man murmured involuntarily, sounding more like he was letting out a soft breath as he admired the sight of such an adorable little baby. Maybe he was being biased, but he couldn't help but think that there wasn't a cuter baby on the face of the earth. Gabe was it. Ferris's brown eyes turned to Vianna as she spoke, listening as she asked if he thought that Gabe had hair already, a question that he hadn't really expected. Did he have hair? It hadn't even occured to the young man to look as it was covered up by a white little hat, and he gave a bit of a grin as he watched his wife. "Only one way to find out..."

Ferris brought up a hand to very gently remove the baby's stark white hat that had been covering up the top of his little head which was also incredibly tiny in comparison to the new father's hand, just slightly larger than a baseball to him. And then, just as the hat slid off his smooth skin, a very thin layer of dark brown hair was revealed to the new parents, dark in contrast to the bright white hat that was sitting there just moments before. And though it wasn't much hair or all that thick, it was evident that at the ends of certain sections there were very small, very soft tiny curls, very similar to his father's dark brown curls, though obviously on a much smaller scale. Ferris's heart seemed to fall out of his chest at that moment, his breath catching in his throat as he realized that their baby boy had inherited his curls.

Vianna gave an excited grin as Ferris suggested that there was only one way to find out if little Gabe had been born with any hair at all. She watched with anticipation as he then very gently removed the tiny little baby's white hat, revealing a very thin layer of dark brown hair, hair so thin that it was almost invisible to see. But he'd only been born a couple hours ago, you couldn't really expect him to have a full head of hair already. But it was then that she realized, just as her husband did, that the bit of hair on their baby boy's head was not only dark brown but curly as well! Without even being aware of it, Vianna gasped softly - this was the first resemblance they got to see between their child and themselves. It was so surreal to see bits of themselves in the little one, so... amazing and disbelieving. "It looks like little Gabe's inherited my Professor's curls," Vianna announced with a grin, almost even triumphantly. But she had been kind of hoping the little one would inherit his father's soft curls, it was one of the girl's favourite features about him. She was quiet then, merely admiring their little baby for the next few moments before speaking again, "I wonder what colour his eyes are..." she wondered softly, eager for the moment that she could find their little baby staring back at them with whatever coloured eyes he might have inherited.

Ferris let out a soft, disbelieving chuckle as Vianna mentioned that it seemed as though little Gabe had inherited her Professor's curls, saying as though she was rather triumphant of the fact. The young man seemed rather disbelieving, even flattered that his little boy had ended up with his curly hair, no matter how thin and barely-there it was at the current time. He grinned at the statement, dimples coming out of hiding as he turned his brown eyes to the girl at his side, "It would seem so," he agreed with an amused shine to his gaze, admiring her for a moment before listening as she wondered aloud what colour little Gabe's eyes would be. "I dunno," he murmured softly, now turning his gaze back to the baby in his arms, brown eyes automatcially sparkling at the sight of his baby boy, knowing that it would be pretty hard to find many more resemblances besides the hair and eyes until the baby had grown a bit more. As of now, his skin was all still pink and he was still so new that any features were a bit hidden, still developing a bit until they could really be prominent on his tiny expression.

And then, out of nowhere, a thought seemed to occur to the young man whose brown eyes just couldn't leave Gabe's adorable little face. "Happy Birthday Gabe," he murmured softly with a rather disbelieving smile.

Vianna's crystal blue eyes were glued on this adorable baby she'd just had the honour of delivering into the world only a couple hours ago. It was so surreal to think that just that morning she was still walking around with her big belly, and now... Now they had a baby in their arms, a little person to address, rather than a big belly. Vianna snapped from these thoughts, though, as Ferris wished their little boy a happy birthday, something which got the girl's eyebrows to raise slightly for a moment before a number of amused giggles escaped her lips. "December 27th," she said softly, resting her head on Ferris's shoulder and admiring the baby in his arms. "You're going to be getting a lot of presents and a big cake every December 27th, Gabe," she informed the little baby, one of her hands coming to meet the baby's skin, her index finger tapping his little nose gently, playfully. "Because every December 27th, we're going to celebrate this moment," she explained to the little one who had now wrapped both of his little hands around her finger, cooing softly and keeping her hand hostage in his own tiny little ones. Vianna chuckled softly at this, lifting her head from Ferris's shoulder and leaning in toward little Gabe, placing a gentle, loving kiss on his soft, perfectly smooth cheek. "I love you," she said softly to the little one, her voice almost dreamy, as if completely dazed by this tiny creature in her husband's arms. And really, she was; she was completely dazed by his unintentional cuteness, by how amazing it was that he was made up entirely of herself and her husband. It was so beautiful that they had made this other little person, that they had come this far, to have a child together. It was... the best thing she could've ever asked for, this was the best little family she could have ever had, and she was happier than she had ever been in her life. And with these thoughts in mind, the girl turned to the young man at her side, flashing him a smile before leaning in and placing her lips upon his own sweetly, the gesture filled with all the loving and endearment she was feeling at that moment.

Ferris's brown eyes only seemed to sparkle more as he watched the baby in his arms, listening all the while as Vianna spoke to their baby boy, informing him that every year on December 27th, they'd be celebrating this one moment of his birth. The young man's heart seemed to swell at the thought of this, once more realizing how special this day was, how beautiful it truly was to have Gabe in the world, officially out and there with them. He watched as Vianna then tapped the baby's tiny nose softly with her index finger, only to get that finger stolen away by the little guy who seemed to want to hold onto it in his little hands, a sight that got his father to nearly melt on the spot once more. He was just so...adorable. More adorable than he'd ever expected him to be. Well, he knew that their little baby would be adorable to them no matter what but...thinking about it and actually seeing his cute little face were two very different things. Ferris shamelessly beamed down at his baby boy, admiring the sight of his sweet little face, never having been more taken aback by anything more than he was by his son's presence in the world at that moment. Just as he was taking note of the size of Gabe's tiny fingers, he suddenly felt Vianna's eyes on him, and he turned to look at her with a rather amused smile on his pale face, searching her eyes as though to try and find out why she was looking at him. But then, before he could ask, she'd leaned in towards him and placed her lips on his own in a sweet kiss that he couldn't help but return as lovingly as he could. But this moment had made the young man extraordinarily ecstatic, finding himself happier than he had ever been in all his life, having this beautiful little family. And so his lips treated his wife's sweetly, filling the gesture with love as he fell back into the beauty of a kiss with his Vianna, something he hadn't felt since that morning. (For good reason, but still...it was Fervi.)

Vianna's lips were curved just very slightly into a smile as the kiss with her husband continued, her blue eyes closed and her left hand still kidnapped by their precious baby boy, who kept moving his little arms and legs around, apparently finding great difficulty in staying still. But that was normal with newborns, they were usually full of energy when born, and so it wasn't strange that little Gabe wanted nothing more than to move his little arms and legs; he'd been locked up in his mummy's belly for eight and a half months, after all! This was his first time really moving and stretching, his first time breathing air and having enough room to move around.

After a few long moments, Vianna pulled back from the wonderful kiss she was sharing with her husband, her finger by now free from little Gabe's grasp. Her crystal blue eyes fluttered open then to reveal the bright, happy sparkling in their blue hue, and the warmest and happiest of smiles graced her lips then. The girl leaned back into the couple pillows on the bed then, her head coming to rest on Ferris's shoulder once again as she let out a soft yawn, her hand now absentmindedly caressing the top of Gabe's little head which had been exposed ever since they took his little hat off. She was exhausted, but she didn't want to go to sleep yet, she didn't want to close her eyes and not be able to see this precious being she'd just brought into the world. Besides, they still had a whole crowd waiting for them outside. Which reminded the girl... "Are our families here, Professor?" asked the girl, who knew he'd sent a letter to their parents, but wasn't sure how many people had showed up (she hadn't been paying attention when the nurses were announcing the number of people out in the waiting room for obvious reasons).

ooc: I'm off for now, byeeeeeeeeee Rutherss!

OOC: Awwwwww! Alright, see you tomorrow then Dee Derupersss!

As their wonderful kiss came to an end, Ferris's brown eyes fluttered open only to sparkle at Vianna with clear adoration in his loving gaze, admiring the sight of her beautiful face, lightly tanned as it always was. She was just so...gorgeous. He couldn't help but think so, even when so much else was going on and she'd just been through hours-worth of labour. She was just naturally pretty, and it always blew the young man away when he set his eyes on her. He exchanged a smile with Vianna, watching as she leaned back into her pillows with a yawn, suddenly realizing how exhausted she must've been. Too careful with Gabe to just use one arm to support him, the young man decided against wrapping an arm around Vianna as he would've done so naturally. Instead, he just leaned back into the sheets and pillows as well to be closer to her, sinking into the rather bland hospital bed. It definitely wasn't the cloud they had at home to sleep on, but it was good enough. His brown eyes were just setting back on Gabe, admiring the sight of the little moving bundle with disbelief still evident in his gaze, when Vianna asked if their families were there. Ferris let out a soft chuckle at the question, "Pretty much every person we know is here," he corrected with a warm smile, turning back to her just to see how tired she truly was. "But don't think you have to stay up just to see them. You sleep when you want to sleep, gem," the young man immediately assured her as he leaned towards her and planted a sweet kiss to her temple. "You've had a pretty long day," he let out a soft chuckle.

Vianna's light eyebrows rose with surprise as Ferris confirmed that not only their families were there, but pretty much every person they knew as well. She let out a soft, breathless and rather disbelieving chuckle at this, not having expected everyone they knew to be here, all waiting to meet and greet little Gabe, their precious new little boy. She listened as the young man at her side spoke once again, assuring her that she didn't have to stay up to see them, that she should just sleep whenever she wanted to. Vianna smiled warmly, her gaze falling to the baby in his arms, merely admiring the sight of his little pink face; her smile only widened as Ferris then placed a kiss to her temple, sympathetically sharing that she'd had a pretty long day. The girl chuckled softly at this, her hand still absentmindedly caressing the baby's perfectly smooth, soft skin. "I have," she confirmed, "But I want to see them, even if only for a little bit. They came all the way here... I want to see their faces when they meet little Gabe," said the girl with a bit of a grin, her blue eyes sparkling at the tiny baby resting in his father's arms.

ooc: I can't remember... were we going to actually RP the family members seeing Gabe or are we just going to FF to the next morning and just kinda narrate what had happened the rest of that night?

OOC: We decided to just FF... Does that still sound ok? Not right this second, but probably sometime soon...

Ferris gave a warm smile as Vianna confirmed that she had a long day but expressed aloud how she wanted to see everyone's faces when they saw Gabe, at least for a little bit. "Alright then, we'll bring them in soon," the young man said with a soft chuckle as his brown eyes turned to Gabe, watching as his mother's hand still gently swept across his soft little head. He was simply adorable and Ferris, being his father, was even more biased than the average person, sparkling his eyes down at his son with all of the amazement in the world behind him. "Gabriel Montgomery," Ferris said softly, hints of disbelief in his tone as he realized this was really, truly his little boy. "Yeah, that's your name little guy..." he informed him in a soft tone, a warm smile coming onto his features once more at the sight of him still moving around, maneuvering all of his little tiny limbs. Ferris seemed to melt at the sight of him letting out a yawn, very much like his mother had done just moments before. He brought up the little baby closer to himself, always careful with how he moved him, until Gabe was right there next to his shoulder, supported mainly by Ferris's left arm, the other coming up to gently stroke the little guy's cheek. "Yes, hello baby boy..." Ferris murmured with a soft chuckle, his face now just mere inches from the baby's, as Gabe brought up one of his hands and accidently came into contact with Ferris's chin. "You've just got to be the sweetest thing on the planet," he informed the baby playfully, kissing his little cheek lovingly, his nose gently pressing against Gabe's soft skin as he did so. Ferris let out a soft chuckle as he pulled back, admiring his little baby boy shamelessly with sparkling brown eyes.

ooc: Ooh ok. Yeah, that sounds fine!

Vianna smiled as Ferris agreed to the idea of her staying awake to meet with their family and friends, watching absentmindedly as the baby in Ferris's arms moved around, and listening as his father addressed him softly, announcing his name to him. This got the girl's smile widen, still finding it so surreal that they finally had their baby out in the world with them, that this was the little one they had been waiting for and dreaming about for the past eight and a half months. Vianna giggled lightly as little Gabe's hand accidentally met his father's chin, completely endeared by the sight of him all wrapped up in a warm blanket and in the tiny little baby clothes they had received during the baby shower. He was just so... cute and adorable, and she seemed almost as endeared by her husband, by the way he addressed their little boy so lovingly. "I can't wait to take him home," said the girl softly, her blue eyes sparkling at the thought of bringing little Gabe to the house, of finally putting the nursery to use. "And I can't wait for him to join us during our lazy mornings," she added with a bit of a grin, still naive and unaware of what was to come, of how much more difficult it was going to be to have lazy mornings or lazy days when they had a newborn that would be demanding food and diaper changes and attention almost 24/7. It was all very cute and sweet now, but the poor new parents had no idea what they were in for just yet.

OOC: Whenever you feel it's time to FF, go ahead! I don't really mind when it is...

Ferris turned his gaze to the woman at his side as she spoke, mentioning aloud how she couldn't wait to take little Gabe home. He smiled at the idea of such a thing, thinking about the nursery that would finally be put to use, the crib and the rocking chair they had set up in there... He could easily picture having a little baby around the house, sharing the days with him and introducing him to everything around their home. He looked up from his absentminded gaze on Gabe when Vianna spoke once more, adding that she couldn't wait for Gabe to join them on their lazy mornings, a comment that got the young man to give a bit of a grin. "I can't wait either, gem," he admitted with a soft sigh, thinking about how wonderful it would be to share their cloud bed with this little baby boy, to hold him and kiss him and let him spend the morning with his parents. But he too was a little ignorant of what was to come with Gabe's arrival into their home, of just how much work having a newborn baby would be. Sure, they'd probably have some relaxing time, but not nearly half as much as they were picturing so merrily in their minds. Ferris was vaguely aware of how much work a newborn was, as he'd helped out a lot when Nathan was first born. But these memories were fairly fuzzy and he'd never had to take care of Nathan 24/7, just a few hours here and there to help, always able to hand him back to his mother. This, this would be something entirely different. But none of this registered to the couple just yet, and Ferris's mind was still focused in on his baby boy, as it should've been. He admired little Gabe, leaning forward to gently kiss his forehead, unable to help himself when he was so cute and tiny and theirs. "You'll like our house Gabe," he informed him as though the little guy could really understand him. "Well, right now it's a little chilly, but we'll bundle you up in all of the blankets and sweaters that you got at your baby shower."

ooc: Aahh Idk... I guess I will in my next post.

Vianna giggled lightly as Ferris addressed the little baby still in his arms, explaining to him that he would like their house, even though it was a little chilly at the time, but they would bundle him up in blankets and sweaters he'd received at his baby shower. The girl's blue eyes sparkled brightly at the little one whose brows seemed to furrow just very slightly for a moment as he turned his little head, resting on his father's shoulder with a hint of sleepiness on his gestures. "And we have little squirrels and bunnies and a cat waiting for you too," Vianna added with a soft chuckle, as if Gabe cared for creatures he didn't even know existed yet. "During the summers you can come out with us and play in the sand by the beach, or sit under a tree.... though I doubt you'd want to sit much. You'll probably be crawling around wanting to touch and see everything up close," said Vianna with an almost dreamy fascination in her voice, completely endeared by the thought of their little one going out there and exploring the world, learning of all the things surrounding him. "I can't wait until we can teach him to walk... and talk," said Vianna, this time addressing her husband. "Starting tomorrow, I'm only speaking to him in Italian!" she added, determined to have their child learn at least the very basics of the language so he could build on it and speak it fluently as he grew a little older.

OOC: Whatever works!

Ferris watched with endeared, melting-chocolate brown eyes as the little baby in his arms gently rested his head against his broad shoulder, obviously a bit sleepy. As he observed this sweet sight, he listened as Vianna addressed their son, mentioning all of the pets the little baby would have and how during the summers he could come to the beach with them or sit under a tree though he'd probably be up and crawling around to try to learn about all of these new things. The young father grinned at the idea of such a thing, of having a little baby crawling around their little beach and yard, taking naps on the couch or in his crib, it was something that easily got his eyes to sparkle. He turned to Vianna as she spoke directly to him, mentioning how she couldn't wait until they could teach him to walk and talk, a comment that got his dimples to come out of hiding once more. Yeah, that would be a nice day to see their little Gabe walking (or rather waddling, really) around, past the stage of crawling and onto bigger and better things. He was snapped out of this as Vianna continued determinedly, adding that she was only going to speak to Gabe in Italian starting the very next day. Ferris let out a soft chuckle at this and gave a brief nod, "Alright, but I think I'll stick to English for a little while..." he murmured and he admired the sight of his son cuddling up to his argyle sweater, one of his tiny little hands brushing against it. "Yeah? You like the argyle?"

Vianna chuckled softly as Ferris shared that he would stick to English when it came to the baby, knowing that it probably wasn't the safest bet to go and use three languages at once on the little one. He'd learn quickly, but he'd end up turning all three into one language and therefore only confusing those around him as well as himself; but two languages was a lot easier, the girl knew from experience. She sighed softly, falling into a silence then, merely admiring their little baby boy, smiling warmly and with amusement as Ferris asked the little one if he liked the argyle. It would be rather amusing if little Gabe grew up to have such a love for argyle patterns as his father did, and Vianna couldn't wait to see how his personality developed, to learn what things he would like and what things he wouldn't like, how his behaviour would be as he grew older. Would he be loud and spoiled like his cousin Jackie or quiet and serious like his cousin Vittorio (who now had a little sister on the way)? There was no way of telling yet, but Vianna was sure of one thing - whatever their baby's personality was going to be, it depended greatly on them, on how they raised him and how well they disciplined him.

The couple spent the next hour or so just admiring their little baby, still a little reluctant to share him with their family and friends just yet. They couldn't help it, though, he was just so cute and adorable that they just wanted to hog him up all to themselves, to never let him go and keep him in their arms for the rest of the night. But eventually the nurses allowed their guests in, and the small room was suddenly crowded with a sea of familiar faces, all grinning and beaming excitedly, all eager to congratulate the new parents and meet the precious little baby that had just entered this world. He was definitely going to be the most loved little baby in the world, he had not only his parents but all of the Montgomerys, and the Vincenzis, and the Vescovis to love and adore him as well, along with the families' closest friends, the people that had been with Fervi since the very beginning and even before that. It was great to see them all again, together, in the same room, it was something Vianna hadn't really had a chance to witness since the baby shower; and she loved to see the way they all welcomed little Gabe so warmly, and took pride in all the compliments that were given to the little one. She was already turning into your typical proud mummy. But it wasn't her fault her baby was the cutest baby in the world.

The visit lasted a couple hours, and by the time the guests began to leave the scene (not before filling up the room with flowers and balloons and presents), Vianna could barely keep her eyes open. She was exhausted, drained, completely worn out. She wanted nothing more than a good night's rest at that moment, and though she was very grateful for everyone's visit, she was a little relieved when it was just her and her husband and Gabe again, as she was quite eager to go to sleep already. But she'd been in non-stop pain for long hours of this day, then in labour for another few hours, and her body was demanding rest to replenish its energy. Even little Gabe seemed a little tired, as he began to doze off just as the last few guests were leaving. He slept in his little crib beside his mother's bed that night, all cuddled up under a blankie and in his little pastel green clothes and his little white hat; and after kissing the little one good night and wishing her husband a good night as well, Vianna was very quick to fall asleep and get the rest she'd been craving for hours now and so greatly deserved.

As everyone filed out of the room and Gabe was set in his little crib alongside their bed, Ferris let his arms wrap around his wife comfortably in the little hospital bed, knowing how tired she must've been. He wished her goodnight as she did to him, pecking her lips sweetly before watching as she nearly immediately dozed off into a blissful sleep that she so deserved. But Ferris couldn't find it in himself just yet to go to sleep, his mind still reeling over the day's events, amazement falling into him as he remembered how the morning had started just like any other, nothing special. And now? Well, now they had a little baby to bring home the next day, a beautiful little gift they hadn't expected to come for a couple more weeks. But now he was here and he was just as adorable as the young father could've imagined and beyond that, the sweetest little baby he'd ever set his eyes on. And Vianna... His brown eyes drifted to his sleeping wife with all of the respect in the world for her, sparkling as he watched her sleeping peacefully in his arms. He leaned forward and kissed her forehead lovingly, his lips warm on her smooth skin for the moment it lasted before he pulled back and made himself a bit more comfortable in the bed. Granted, it wasn't all that easy due to his height and broad shoulders, but he managed it well enough, keeping his Vianna curled up in his warm embrace, his body sort of wrapped around her instinctively, keeping her warm and comfortable to his chest. And he fell asleep, just like that, as comfortable as he could get, and slept there for the next eight hours or so.

Knowing Ferris, the young man could easily sleep for ten or eleven hours on a good day, but he wasn't really all that comfortable in this bed that was a little too small for him and when he wasn't completely and totally comfortable he found it easy to get up earlier than normal in the morning. So he was up around eight, letting his brown eyes flutter open only to see the beige hospital room, the sunlight streaming through the window for once though clouds seemed to be trying to encroach on it in mere minutes. Ferris didn't really have eyes for any of this though, his brown eyed gaze falling immediately onto the little baby in his crib who seemed to be up and moving as well, letting out a couple soft indistinguishable sounds as he did so. He beamed at the sight, getting up from the bed carefully so as not to disturb Vianna and making his way over to the little baby crib. A fresh wave of realization swept over him as he realized once again that this was his beautiful baby boy. "Hey there Gabe," Ferris murmured softly, still careful not to awake his wife, as he very gently picked up the baby from his crib, bringing him up to cradle him next to his chest.

The young man spent the next hour or so seated in one of the hospital's chairs next to the window, holding his son and watching as he brought his little hands up to his father's smooth face, investigating curiously though his eyes remained closed. Gabe dozed off now and again, waking up every few minutes to press his tiny fingers against the argyle or Ferris's freshly shaved cheek, still trying to master his movements.

Vianna didn't always sleep this long, and she was usually one to wake up easily, but this morning? This morning all her body wanted to do was sleep the whole day away, replenish all of the energy it had lost the day before; so as eight o'clock rolled around, and then nine passed by, Vianna was still sleeping merrily, as if she was the baby herself. She couldn't help it, though; she was beat. It wasn't until around ten that she was awakened, and not necessarily by her body announcing that it was ready to get on with the day, but rather by a sound that was echoing loudly in the room, a sound that the girl recognized immediately though she had yet to fully get used to. It was, of course, little Gabe crying. But the poor thing hadn't really had much food since he had been born the night before, and it was now time for Vianna to start taking on her motherly duties, something she'd almost forgotten about. Of course Gabe wasn't meant to just lay around and look cute! They had to feed him, and change his diaper, and bathe him, etc., etc.

A groggy Vianna woke up then, her brows furrowing slightly for a moment before her blue eyes fluttered open. She took a moment to gaze around the unfamiliar room, the amount of flowers and balloons and presents taking over almost every bit of space, and it dawned on her that she was still in the hospital, that she'd just had a baby the day before. Wow. She sat up on the bed then, her sleepy gaze falling upon her husband who now had a wailing newborn in his arms. She chuckled softly at the sight, rather amused by it, though there was concern in it as well. Gabe clearly needed something, and it didn't take a genius to figure out that the baby was probably hungry. The girl held out her arms then in a silent request to have little Gabe in her arms, taking a moment to admire the sight of him once her husband had handed him over. She greeted the crying baby with a gentle, loving kiss on his smooth little forehead before following her instincts, doing what felt right and providing her little one with the food he requested, which I won't go into detail about because I'm awkward.

Little Gabe took the next fifteen or twenty minutes to replenish himself, his crying coming to an end though there was still a trace of tears left on his smooth cheeks. Vianna wiped these away very gently and lovingly with her index finger, relishing in the feel of her baby's amazingly smooth skin. She couldn't stop smiling; he was so cute! So tiny, so adorable, so precious! She just wanted to give him the biggest of hugs, but knew better than to do so as he was still so very tiny and delicate, so fragile. Once the baby was all full and happy, he went back to his adorable ways of just shuffling around in his blanket, extending his little arms out and holding on to everything and anything he could find, curiosity in his gestures, soaking in all sorts of information he could receive just from touching, or hearing. Vianna took a few more moments to admire and simply adore the little one before returning him to his father. "We have to check out of the hospital before noon, Professor," she reminded the boy with a small smile, slowly climbing off the bed once Gabe was safely back in the young man's arms. Wow... she felt so... light! She stood there for a moment looking down at herself, a bit of amazement in her eyes, disbelieving that the large belly that was usually blocking her view downward wasn't there anymore. She chuckled softly to herself at this realization before picking up her clothes from one of the bedside tables. "I'm going to go change. Will you gather our things in the meantime, Professor?" she asked of him, blue eyes looking quite eager and enthusiastic as she was obviously excited to finally leave the hospital and head back to their cozy little home with their new adorable baby.

OOC: Bahahahahahaha! "..which I won't go into detail about because I'm awkward." I think it's probably best not to go into detail on that one...

Ferris, poor little Ferris, was shocked out of his skin as suddenly Gabe began to wail, a horrible sort of sad noise that filled the air and every corner of the room, his adorable little face contorting into one of distress, obvious unhappiness. The young man, who had simply been holding the little guy just moments before, was still unaware of what was wrong besides the fact that his cries were echoing off of every surface. "Shhh.. It's alright Gabe..calm down, you don't want to wake up mummy..." he murmured softly to the little guy, bouncing him gently in his arms in the hopes that maybe this would calm him. But now, it only seemed to upset the little guy more, immediately making the young father realize (after searching his brain for what babies got upset over) that Gabe was probably hungry, not having eaten anything since birth the day before (Ferris knew the feeling, he hadn't eaten anything at all yesterday except for a gross little Jello cup that was on the bedside table that Vianna didn't want) and was left with a bit of a grimace as he knew this was the one thing that he couldn't exactly provide his son with. But before he could worry about this too much, Vianna had gotten up and taken the little baby from his arms like the beautiful gem she was, immediately getting the baby to stop crying by providing him with the nourishment he needed.

Ferris gave a bit of a grin at how she just sort of knew what Gabe needed, admiring her for a moment before beginning to gather some of their things, knowing that they'd be leaving soon and there wasn't all that much he could do for Gabe at the current time. He was almost done, taking a seat in the hospital chair for a pause, trying to think of what else they had brought with them, when Vianna got up from her bed and gently handed over their baby boy, reminding him that they needed to check out before noon. "Alright gem," the young man replied, obviously rather pleased to have a not-crying infant in his arms once more, holding him carefully and supportively as he listened to Vianna announce that she was going to change and ask for him to finish gathering their things. "Sure," he replied, flashing her a bit of a grin before watching her disappear into the little bathroom attached to every hospital room.

Ferris then got up from his seat with a soft sigh, feeling a bit hungry and slightly worn out from his less-than-amazing night of sleep, but overall rather excited that today was the day to bring Gabe home with them, to introduce him to everything. The young man gently set Gabe in his crib in order to gather the remains of what they had brought, gathering up all of the gifts from their friends and family and sending them off with a spell to their house so they didn't have to carry them. But he slung the baby bag over his shoulder and scanned the room to make sure he got everything before returning to Gabe's crib-side and very gently picking up his little son. "Yes, I know you're excited too, aren't you?" Ferris murmured to him with a warm, amused smile, placing a warm kiss to his little cheek as he held him close, the little infant still wrapped up in the first blanket he ever received.

ooc: Bahahaha! Yeah, I just mentioned it to emphasize the point that Vi doesn't want to give her baby formula just yet, she wants it to be natural for now.

Vianna returned from the bathroom around fifteen minutes later, all showered and changed into the clothes Ferris had brought for her the day before when they were leaving their home to come to the hospital. She grinned at the sight of him and little Gabe, just bursting with happiness before swiftly making her way over to them, greeting her husband a little more properly with a peck kiss on the lips and then awarding little Gabe a kiss on his soft, rosy cheek. "All ready?" she asked, noting that Ferris looked rather busy carrying the heavy babybag and the baby itself, while she was looking pretty empty carrying nothing at all. "Here, let me help you," she suggested, very gently and carefully taking Gabe into her arms with a grin so her husband didn't have to carry everything (not really, she just wanted to steal the baby for a little bit). The little one fit so perfectly in her slender arms, one of her hands coming to adjust the little white hat on his head that was threatening to slip off any second. "Sei così adorabile!" she cooed to the little baby, leaning in toward him and placing another kiss on his little forehead. "Let's go, Professor," she said, turning back to her husband with an overjoyed smile, obviously quite eager to take their new little baby home with them.
