| | That Summer - V.5!
This is a continued role-play created by hazydazy012, and thanks to Gryffindoll, emmafan123 and Lily Lupin this RP, plot and a couple characters are still thriving! It's one of our longest running RPs in a LONG time, if not the longest. So congrats to you girls for doing such a good job at keeping the thread(s) active, and enjoy.
This is version (5) FIVE, the first four threads have reached their post limits. From the original thread: Quote:

How are the students supposed to learn when they can't try out the new spells? Sure, most were devestated, (Especially the 7th years! How are they supposed to finish their last year?!) but of course, some were estatic too! Who doesn't want to have a longer summer vacation? So, most students go home in high spirits TWO months before Hogwarts was officially supposed to be let out for summer break. Only one week into their luxuriously long holiday, every student recieves this letter:
"It is mandatory for any students who want to complete their year to attend "La Bacchetta Magica", a summer learning camp for wizards located in a small getaway near Tuscany. You will be finishing up the studies that were unfinished at Hogwarts. Please bring your wand and other necessary items for regular classes."
Fantastic. Some are angry, but most are excited! I mean, it's called "The Magic Wand" in Italian, for goodness sakes. It's gotta be fun. And guess what?! It is! Everyone is having a great time with the mix of school and just plain summer camp fun! How will the Divinations in the morning and campfires at night affect the students? You decide!
Please join! There will need to be a few professors/camp counselors! Even number of boys and girls, please. Post a bio with a picture, thanks!
(P.S. I looked up "La Bacchetta Magica" and it told me "The Magic Wand" but it was only an online translator. If I'm wrong, then whoops! Heehee)

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor Ferris's concern came from a couple different logical places. First of all, he didn't like the idea that what was happening inside of his wife was changing and doing unexpected things. He didn't like seeing his wife in pain. But he also didn't like the idea that what was happening with both his wife and his baby was unknown and they couldn't know if this was normal or if something was wrong. Again, this was their first time having a baby, and the young man who had always been a cautious person didn't like the idea of leaving this in the unknown. And so as Vianna assured him that there was nothing to worry about but still consented to asking a doctor, he gave a bit of a small smile, honestly relieved that they could have an actual answer rather than just something to worry about. "Alright, then let's get him in the fire," Ferris decided with a small smile, leaning forward to kiss her forehead lovingly, obviously rather relieved with the idea of talking to their doctor.
After a few minutes, the doctor they'd been visiting twice a month for the past eight and a half months appeared in their fireplace, his head visible in the flames as he gave the couple a smile. OOC: I assume you want to RP the doctor? Let me know if not!

ooc: Sure, I'll play Dr. Nameless !
"Good afternoon, doctor," Vianna greeted with a smile to their friendly doctor, who greeted them in return with the brightest of smiles. "Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery! It's been a while!" he teased, as last time he'd seen the couple was the week before. But as they neared the due date, their appointments with the doctor had to be more frequent. "How's little Gabe doing? Everything alright?"
"Well, that's what we were calling you about..." started Vianna with a small smile, her gaze falling to her belly for a moment before returning to the man made out of flames in their fireplace. "I just... I just a contraction. That's nothing out of the ordinary, I know, but... it was specially painful, and it lasted much longer than what I've experienced before," Vianna explained, her forehead creasing slightly as she spoke.
At this, the doctor's brows furrowed. "How long, exactly, did it last?"
But Vianna wasn't sure. "Minutes, perhaps?"
Now the man's eyebrows rose slightly. "And this is the first one you experience one like this, you say..." he muttered, more to himself than to the couple. He was quiet for a moment, his expression thoughtful as his gaze fell elsewhere before turning back to the couple. "Alright, I've got a little project for you two. I wasn't expecting it to be now, but... Keep a paper handy, a notepad perhaps. If you have another contraction like that, make note of how long it lasts. Do you remember when the first one happened?"

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: ! Bahahahaha. Ferris gave a friendly smile to the doctor as he appeared in the fireplace, sitting down on the couch alongside Vianna as the man began to ask if everything was alright. The young man remained silent as Vianna explained the situation to the doctor they'd gotten to know so well, watching his expression curiously for a reaction to the news of a longer than usual contraction. He merely found thoughtfulness, though there seemed to be a bit of mild interest in the doctor's expression as well, and he listened as the older man explained that he had a project for the two of them. Ferris's eyebrows rose at this but listened attentively as he explained that he wasn't expecting 'it' to be now (which confused him completely) and instructed them to keep a notepad handy in order to keep track of how long a contraction lasted should another one come.
He nodded firmly as he got up and quickly returned with a pen and notebook, setting it on the table in preparation for this happening. Just as he was about to ask what this 'project' was for, the doctor had continued and asked if they remembered when the first one happened. Assuming that he was referring to the one this conversation was about, he immediately replied, "It just happened a few minutes ago when Vi was taking a bath."

The doctor nodded his head slightly as Ferris answered the question for him. "Write it down, an approximate of the time," he instructed, curiosity still on his aged features. Vianna seemed to find no sense in this, though. Why did the doctor want them to write down when the contractions came? How was that going to be of any help at all? But then, just as the girl was about to ask about this, the doctor spoke once more, "I could be completely wrong, and this might be nothing more than just another normal contraction, but Mrs. Montgomery... there is a possibility that Gabriel might arrive a little earlier than expected."
At this, Vianna's eyes widened. What?! "H--How... How much earlier?"
The doctor gave her a slightly apologetic smile then. "Tomorrow... today," he estimated.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor Ferris immediately picked up the notebook as the doctor told him to, listening as he instructed him to write down an approximate of the time the last contraction had happened. He was starting to scribble, focusing mainly on that, until the old man's voice came through the room again with a tone of slight hesitance that caught his attention. He looked up from his notepad curiously as the old man then explained to Vianna that he could be wrong and it might just be another contraction, but there was a possibility that Gabe could be arriving earlier than expected. Ferris's eyebrows rose at this statement, assuming that he meant that maybe Gabe would arrive January 10th instead of the 12th, or something like that. Well... That was alright, they could handle that. What was a couple of days?
But then as Vianna asked in a nervous stutter how much earlier little Gabe could be expected to arrive and the doctor gave them an apologetic smile, most confidence in his assumption left the young man. It could be sooner than that? "Tomorrow....today."
The words rang through Ferris like a giant bell was being rung right at his side, the vibrations from it shocking him as his brown eyes widened and the notepad slipped from his hands and onto the hardwood floors. "T-Tomorrow, or...to-today?!" Ferris repeated once he'd regained his senses, obvious shock in his expression as he took this in. But Gabe couldn't be arriving that soon! He was due in two weeks, there wasn't any reason for him to come anytime sooner! Had Ferris been more calm and less in a state of shock, he probably would've been reasonable and realized that due dates were very flexible, and in some pregnancies they could come early, late, or right on time, that all of this was common. But that very day, December 27th, was even a possibility?!

"I'm afraid so, Mr. Montgomery," the doctor confirmed with a nod as Ferris expressed his disbelief over the news that had just been so unexpectedly dropped upon himself and his wife. But this wasn't what they had planned! They were ready for a baby that would arrive in two weeks not in a few hours! This was completely unexpected, completely out of the blue, not at all what they had been planning, not at all what the girl had been counting down on the calendar!
Vianna was frozen beside her husband. What was she supposed to say? How was she supposed to react to this? Her baby boy, the one she'd been so excited to welcome in a couple of weeks might be arriving as soon as the following day, or even that very same day! She wasn't sure she was ready for this, to give birth already - was this natural!? Was this normal!?
But as if reading the girl's mind, the doctor spoke once more, "It's nothing to worry about, these due dates are rarely ever set in stone; they change as the baby develops, and some babies come earlier while others come later," he said. "Now, I suggest you two try your best to relax, it's not good for the baby if his mother's feeling stressed or anxious," he warned, raising his eyebrows slightly at the pair. "Remember that we don't know yet, that this is only... a possibility; I could be wrong, Gabe might not be arriving just yet, but... usually when these contractions start, it means birth is only several hours away," he explained.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor Ferris could feel Vianna's presence tensing up beside him but didn't seem to have the willpower to turn at look at her, his wide brown eyes fixed on the floor by the fireplace as he took this news in. He listened with a distracted expression as the doctor assured them that it was nothing to worry about as due dates were rarely ever set in stone and some babies came earlier than others, though this hardly seemed a comfort to the young man who was still trying to grasp the reality that Gabe could be coming that very day or the next. If Vianna started having major contractions, like major ones, they'd have to got to St. Mungos! They could be in the hospital that very night or maybe even in the morning! This all sounded completely crazy to the young man who'd fixed his mind around the date January 12th. He'd given himself two weeks to prepare, they had a countdown ready, they would've had more time to wrap their minds around it and get ready! But here was the doctor, saying that their baby could very well come in the next 48 hours!
He remained still but listened as the doctor then suggested that they both relax as it wasn't good for the baby for his mother to be feeling stressed or anxious. At this comment, Ferris's head popped up and in an instant he had an overwhelming feeling of protection he hadn't expected from himself. But something about that comment, about something not being good for little Gabe and Vianna, it just... It struck a chord in him and he immediately knew that he needed to get his wife relaxed one way or another, despite the fact that he was still freaking out over the idea of having the baby so soon. He listened vaguely as the doctor reminded them that this was just a guess and could very well be wrong, but that usually when these contractions started it meant the birth was just several hours away. He gave a soft gulp at this, taking a deep breath as he took this in. After a few more moments he gave a faint nod, "A-Alright doctor," Ferris finally said with a soft sigh. "Well...What do I need to prepare? Do I need to have anything ready in case we have to leave suddenly? Will she need anything?" he suddenly burst out in questions, inquisitive mind racing as he thought of all this as his brows furrowed once more and his gaze fell to the doctor's old expression.

Vianna was still completely frozen beside Ferris, though she seemed to turn a little more alert as the doctor warned her that it wasn't good for the baby if she was feeling stressed or anxious. She nodded her head just very slightly and tried her best to relax at that moment; the last thing she wanted was to cause their baby harm! But it was hard; well near impossible, really. How could she be calm with the thought of her baby arriving that very same day or the following day?! It was something that had her heart beating at record speed, something she couldn't fully control.
Vianna was vaguely aware of the conversation going on between her husband and the doctor at this point, their voices just sort of muffled in the background as her mind raced over this idea of having little Gabe so soon. "I wouldn't suggest bringing too many things that will slow you down on the trip, but you should probably bring some clothes not only for the mother but for the baby as well," said the doctor. "Oh, and remember - by the time she gets a chance to shower and change, the big belly won't be there anymore; so don't bring maternity clothes," he added. He paused for a moment, "Anything else?" he asked, just the slightest hint of amusement in his eyes. He liked to watch the first-timers freaking out, it was both endearing and amusing.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor Ferris listened attentively (though still completely freaked out on the inside), his face determined, as the doctor instructed him to not bring too much besides clothes for both Vianna and the baby. Right. Baby clothes. Because there would be a baby to wear them. A sort of warm and exhileratingly new feeling ran through him as he realized that there was a possibility of having Gabe out, with them, tomorrow or even that day. His expression morphed for just a moment as he seemed to forget his extreme shock and simply realized that they would have a baby to put in all of those clothes and onesies they'd gotten at the baby shower and over the past few months. Everything would be used. The crib, the mobile, the carrier, the blankets, the little hats and booties... This wonderful moment only lasted literally a moment before the young man was back and attentive, listening as the old man (who seemed rather amused) asked if there was any other questions he had. "N-No, I think I'm good," he replied with a weak smile and a brief nod, letting out a shaky sigh before saying a farewell and a thanks to the doctor, assuring to talk to him if anything else unusual should happen, before the old man disappeared from their fireplace and it was just Fervi once more.
It was silent for a long few moments, during which Ferris stared at the floor with a new sense of responsibility brewing inside of him. There were so many emotions running through his mind; worry, fear, apprehension, excitement, protectiveness, anxiousness, surprise... It was all just there and jumbled up and he knew that there was no sorting it out at that moment. So instead, he turned to look at the girl at his side, knowing for sure over everything else, that he needed to be there for his wife who must've been completely freaking out. "Are you alright?" he asked softly as one of his hands came over to slip around her smaller one. OOC: Let me know if you still wanted the doctor there! I just figured he was pretty much done...

ooc: Bahaha nah, he was done.
Vianna seemed to snap out of thoughts as the young man beside her took her hand, her gaze immediately falling there and listening as he went on to ask if she was alright. With a small but rather weak and most definitely frightened smile, Vianna nodded her head slightly. "I'm alright," she confirmed. "Just... surprised. Maybe a little scared..." she confessed with a soft, flustered chuckle. She might be having a baby in only hours! Not weeks, not days... hours! "I just-- we just... there was no time to prepare for this," she muttered, shaking her head slightly with a disbelieving small smile, her gaze returning to the young man's brown eyes. But even behind that fear and surprise in the girl's eyes, there was a hint of excitement - she might get to hold little Gabe that very same day, or the following day! The wait had been cut short and they would soon have their little one in their arms. And as Vianna thought more about the baby inside her that was now ready to come out, a thought occurred to her. "Do you think... maybe that's why he was kicking so much yesterday?" she asked, a hint of curiosity now on her features.
ooc: I'm off for now, Rutherssssssss! Byeeeeeee!

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: Ok, good! & Alright bye for now Deee Deruperssss! Ferris listened as the girl at his side assured him she was alright, brown eyes a little sympathetic as he realized what a scare this must be for the poor girl who was now realizing that she might have to actually physically deliver this baby in mere hours. If the doctor was right, that is. He kept her hand enveloped in his own as she spoke, explaining that she was just a little surprised and a bit scared as they'd had no time to prepare for this. "Tell me about it," the young man replied with a weak chuckle, obvious surprise still in his own expression as he reviewed his wife's features. Just as he was thinking to the idea of little Gabe being in their arms in just hours, the girl at his side asked if he thought that maybe Gabe was kicking so much yesterday because the delivery was coming up. His eyebrows rose at the thought and he gave a weak, rather disbelieving smile as he sort of connected the dots, "Like...getting ready?" he suggested with a soft, breathless chuckle. "I bet he was..." Gabe was moving. And he wasn't just moving and kicking as he grew. No, he was moving and kicking because he was repositioning himself because he knew that the birth would be coming sooner rather than later. This seemed like a whole new level of amazement for Ferris who sat still for a long moment before turning to his wife with a small and hesitant, but fairly warm smile. "We don't know for sure if he's coming soon. He might be, and if he is, we'll be ready one way or another," he promised her as he sat up a bit more. "Why don't you lay down and relax and I'll go upstairs to grab some clothes, just to be ready?" he suggested, getting up from the couch and releasing her hand as he started towards the general direction of the stairs. Moments later her turned back around, returning to stand in front of her and watching her with amazed brown eyes for a moment before leaning down and kissing her forehead lovingly. "We can do this," he promised her despite the nervousness filling the pit of his stomach, flashing her a small smile before going up the stairs.

Vianna gave a small fascinated, but at the same time terribly nervous smile as Ferris shared his belief that Gabe was probably getting ready for the delivery when he'd been moving around the day before. This sent a wave of anxiety and nervousness to wash over the girl, though there was a bit of excitement in it too. If the doctor was right…. Gabe would be arriving so soon! It was a completely surreal thought, she still couldn't bring herself to completely believe this. As Ferris then spoke again, explaining that they still didn't know for sure if the baby was coming, but that they'd be ready one way or another, Vianna's smile widened slightly and she nodded her head in response, though she still felt a little uneasy about the idea of giving birth to Gabe so soon. As the young man then suggested that she lay down while he went upstairs to grab some clothes, just to be ready, Vianna nodded her head slightly once more. She remained there, frozen after the boy had left, only for a couple moments, but just as she was about to reposition herself and lay down on the couch, he'd returned, standing right before her. Vianna looked up at him with a bit of amusement in her panicked blue eyes, her gaze inquisitive, before he spoke, assuring her that they could do this. This got the girl's smile to widen, and her blue eyes closed for a brief second as his lips met her forehead before he left and she reaccomodated herself so that she was now laying on the couch, her back against the armrest and her hands resting on the large belly that lay hidden under the sweater she was wearing.
This was probably the most nerve-wracking thing the girl had ever experienced; climbing up cliffs and then jumping off, or having broom races at frightening heights above waters infested with all sorts of magical creatures had never scared the girl as much as this scared her - the idea of delivering her very first child. She felt completely unprepared for this.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor Ferris returned about ten minutes later carrying one of his sweaters for his wife and a pair of her jeans along with a pastel green onesie, a little blanket, and a pair of little green booties to match. He smiled faintly at the sight of this as he came down the stairs, though the nervousness was still obvious in his pale expression as he reached the bottom step. But as he looked up from what he was carrying and caught sight of his wife, nervously sitting there with a rather absentminded scared look on her beautiful face, a lot of her colour gone...all of his own nervousness sort of fell away. It was pushed to the back of his mind as he stared at her for a long moment, realizing just how scared his wife must've been at that moment, how anxious she was. And what was he nervous for? Being there and holding her hand? He wasn't the one delivering a baby. Granted, having the baby so soon meant that there would be a lot of responsibility for both of them a lot sooner and he'd have a lot to do and a lot to learn but... Vianna must've been feeling much, much worse. And her anxiety was more important than his own.
And so a calm expression suddenly took over Ferris's face, one that he wasn't quite sure where it came from. But he often found himself sort of picking up the slack when Vianna needed it; when she couldn't be the bubbly, energetic, positive gem that she so often was, Ferris filled in in his own way in the hopes of lightening the situation. He walked over to the couch and set the clothes down on the coffee table, turning to flash his wife a warm smile at the mere sight of her. "Alright, your Professor's going to join you," he warned with a bit of a lopsided grin as he climbed to the very back of the couch and then laid on his side between the back pillows and his wife, facing her with a soft smile on his pale expression, watching her with thoughtful brown eyes. He could practically feel her tension falling off of her, feel her nervousness and see it in her beautiful face. "Relax," he requested very gently, his voice warm and sweet as he brought up a hand to rest over her clasped ones, his other arm slipping around her and pulling her closer to himself.

ooc: Replies are gonna be delayed, SS is being suuuuuuuuuper slow today.
Vianna was slightly snapped out of thoughts as Ferris returned around ten minutes later, watching as he set the clothes he'd just brought down on the coffee table. On instinct, she smiled faintly at the tiny little pastel green clothes that accompanied the clothes she'd be wearing. Wow… so there might actually be a baby to place those tiny little clothes on, in just a number of hours. It was a beautiful thought, but at the same time one that reminded her of the situation she was in at the moment, of the unexpected news she'd just received. The girl watched as Ferris then proceeded to join her on the couch, turning to him with a small welcoming smile on her face, her crystal blue eyes watching him for a moment before turning away to their hands which rested on her belly. As Ferris then asked her softly to relax, Vianna nodded her head slightly, though there was hesitation in her gestures. She couldn't just magically make herself feel relaxed (well technically, she could, if they had a potion), after all, but she could try. "I like the clothes you chose for him," said the girl softly after a couple moment's silence, her gaze traveling over to the tiny baby clothes on the coffee table before returning to the young man at her side with a bit of an amused smile. "He's going to be the same colour as his room," she added with a soft, amused chuckle.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: I know right?!?! Don't worry about it, it's like that for me tooo... *sigh* Ferris watched as the girl at his side attempted to relax, but somehow knew in the back of his mind that it just wouldn't be that easy. He listened as she then admitted that she liked the clothes he'd picked out for Gabe, that he would be the same colour as his room. The young man let out a soft chuckle at this, hardly having realized that but simply liking the colour green; his mind had sort of been on other things. "I'm glad you like it," he murmured, "It's going to be his first outfit, afterall..." His smile widened slightly at this, realizing once more that Gabe would be here sooner, be with them, breathing and eating and smiling and opening his little eyes... They'd have a face to the name. But Ferris returned his attention to Vianna in the next moment, watching her thoughtfully for a moment before he leaned towards her and gently placed a warm kiss to her jawline and then another to her cheek, his straight nose gently brushing up against her skin as he did so. "We know what to do," the young man reminded her softly after a few moments of comfortable silence, now referring to the birth, hoping that maybe reminding her of how truly prepared they were might help her. "The doctor's told us all about what's going to happen..." he added sweetly to her ear before pressing another loving kiss to her jawline. "And you know I'm never going to leave your side. You're not doing any of this alone."

ooc: Aw, barnacles. :[
Vianna's smile widened slightly as Ferris reminded her that this would be Gabe's first outfit, something which brought a new sort of excitement to her. Their baby's first outfit... She knew she would cherish it; just like mother cherished hers and her brother's first little things - first shoes, first clothes to wear, first blankie etc. Back then Vianna didn't care much for these old clothes, assuming her mother was just being a mum, cheesy as all mothers were when it came to cherishing their children's baby things. But now... now she understood. There was a sentimental value to these little things, they were going to be the parents' reminder of this moment in their lives, of the excitement they felt when they were preparing for their baby, of the beauty that came with expecting a child.
Vianna was distracted from thoughts, though, as the young man beside her suddenly spoke, assuring her that they knew what to do, that the doctor had already told them what would happen, and he would never leave her side, never leave her to do this by herself, all the while awarding the girl a number of kisses that got her smile to widen. "I know..." she said softly, turning her gaze back to her husband with endearment sparkling in her eyes, obviously grateful for his attempts at calming her, which were slowly but surely beginning to work. But he was right; they knew what would be happening new, this wasn't as completely new as she thought. It was just... earlier than planned. But it was still something they were prepared for, something they had been preparing for for months. "Little Gabe's just one surprise after the other," said Vianna, chuckling softly and shaking her head slightly, referring to the way the pregnancy itself had been a surprise, now the delivery of the baby was turning out to be a surprise too.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: BAHAHHHAHAHAHAH! Barnacles!? Ferris gave a soft smile as Vianna turned to him with sparkling blue eyes, watching as she admitted to knowing that they were ready before mentioning that little Gabe was just one surprise after another. He let out a soft chuckle at this, knowing how true it was, as he kept the girl close to his chest, both of his arms now wrapped around her extended waistline as he admired her. "Yeah, he is," the young man agreed softly, scanning all of her features for a moment as one hand came up to absentmindedly stroke the side of her beautiful expression. After a few moments of sweet silence, during which his warm fingertip moved along her soft skin slowly, Ferris spoke once more with a more thoughtful tone to his fairly deep voice. "Just think about...all the times that we wished he was here already..how many times we just wanted to see him...and hold him.." he reminded her softly, brown eyes sort of like melting chocolate as he admired her. "He's going to be out with us sooner than we thought. He's going to be here and we can hold him and watch him and put him in his crib every night..." the young man listed off with a sort of daze to his own gaze. "And he's going to really be here. We'll be able to see his little face and what colour his eyes are and who he looks like most... He's really going to be with us, living and breathing and...all ours."

ooc: Too much Spongebob, ok!? Leamme aloneeee -runs off and slams door like an angsty teenager-
Vianna relished in the feel of her husband's gentle fingers on her skin, on the amount of love and sweetness that radiated from each gesture as the two of them fell into a comfortable silence. Her gaze had returned to the hands on her belly, her right one absentmindedly traveling from the very top of it to the middle before returning back up and repeating the pattern slowly, absentmindedly, just gently stroking the perfectly smooth and round belly hidden beneath the argyle sweater. Vianna listened as Ferris then spoke, reminding her of all the time they had wished little Gabe was there already, of all the many times they had just wanted to see him and hold him. This brought the smile back to Vianna's lips, a sort of sparkle in her blue eyes as she thought about this, about how it would feel to finally have their little one in their arms, to hear his cooing, to see his eyes staring back at them… It was such a beautiful thought, one that definitely made the girl feel a little better about all of this. She was quiet, though, and listened as Ferris continued, reminding her that little Gabe would really be there, that they'd really be able to see his little face and what colour his eyes were and who he looked like the most. All of this got Vianna's smile to widen further; she was growing more and more excited with each word that left her husband's lips. Their little one might be with them soon enough, they might have all of their questions answered earlier than expected - what colour his eyes would be, whose nose he'd have, whose lips, whose smile, etc. "I can't wait for that, Professor," said Vianna, lifting her gaze from her belly and turning to the young man beside her. "When you put it like that… to realize that we might actually get to hold him in just hours… it's so… exciting," she confessed with a bit of a grin on her lightly tanned face, her fear slowly replaced by a more dreamy expression, like a child just counting down the hours until they could open their Christmas presents.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: AngstyGabe! Awersome. Ferris seemed completely pleased with the look of dreaminess that had come onto his wife's beautiful expression, watching her with adoring brown eyes as she admitted that she couldn't wait until Gabe was out. "Me either," he confessed softly before listening as she explained that it sounded so exciting when he put it like that, to realize that they might get to hold their baby in just hours. His grin returned wider than ever, slightly lopsided as it always was, as his brown eyes practically sparkled at her new dreamy expression, glad to see that most of the fear had washed away from her. "It's very exciting," he agreed with a soft chuckle. "And just think," he added more positively, hoping to get Vianna even more pleased and farther away from fear, "If he comes today or tomorrow, I'm still going to have a good week of break left to stay home with you two..."

ooc: Bahahhaa Poor Fervi. xD
Vianna's own small grin grew with excitement as Ferris reminded her that if Gabe came this soon, he still had a whole week left of his break to spend with his wife and baby. "Good!" decided Vianna simply, almost even a little enthusiastically, "Because I want my Professor to be here with us, and spend as much time with little Gabe as possible," she said warmly, her grin turning into a loving smile. But she really did want the baby's father to have a chance to spend as much time as he could with the little one, she wanted them to have a close relationship, to create a strong bond. "You'll finally have a little face to read to, rather than a big belly," added Vianna with a soft giggle, her crystal blue eyes sparkling brightly, her smile warmer and brighter than it had been in the past twenty minutes when - suddenly, out of nowhere, came the sharpest of pains. And just like last time, it started off from the girl's lower back and worked its way around from there, sending waves of pure, sharp, unforgiving pain around her slender frame. Suddenly alert, Vianna sat up on the couch a little abruptly, taking deep breaths, panic beginning to fill her blue eyes. Why must each contraction feel like... she's going to die or something? It was horrible! And it only felt worse than the last one, it felt like it was lasting years, decades; Vianna wasn't even keeping up with the time anymore. She didn't care how long it lasted, she just wanted it to be over. She winced softly to herself, holding her belly tight and taking deep breaths, trying her best to ignore the pain, to pretend it wasn't there. But you couldn't ignore this, it was simply too strong, too powerful; the worst pain she had ever experienced in her life.
And then, as abruptly as it came, it left, leaving the poor girl completely pale, completely breathless, her heart beating faster than ever before, feeling like it might just burst from her chest any second. She felt numb, she didn't want to move, and at this point all she felt was a strong wave of relief, relief that the pain was finally over, that she could finally breathe again.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: Ferris gave a soft chuckle as Vianna decided that this was a good thing as she wanted her Professor to be there with them and spend as much time with Gabe as possible. "That's my plan," he agreed with a warm smile, watching her as she then reminded him that he'd finally have a little face to read to rather than a big belly. His smile fell at this, but not in a saddened way, rather because he seemed to just be realizing this. He'd have a little face to read to. Just a moment later his expression had morphed into one of extreme loving and excitement, his brown eyes sparkling as they fell to her belly, obviously pleased with the idea of this. But before he could say anything, very suddenly Vianna was sitting up with the worst expression on her beautiful features, panic in her gorgeous blue eyes at the atmosphere changed from chuckles and excitement to one of complete pain. Ferris was sitting up immediately, all of the worry in the world on his pale expression as he watched with a helpless gaze, literally not having anything he could do to alleviate her pain. And that was one of the worst feelings he had ever experienced. "Gem, you're okay," he said softly to her, encouraging words as his hand remained on her back for support, watching as she took in deep breaths with the worst expression on her face, like she was experiencing the worst pain on the planet. "Aw, Vi..." he murmured with furrowed brows and a pained expression on his own face, so wanting to do something, anything to get her out of this extreme pain she was so obviously feeling.
And then, just like that, the pain seemed to leave her and she was completely pale and breathless, looking like she couldn't even move from her sitting position. Ferris, who was sure that these past few minutes (which was his vague estimate, as he was rather distracted) were the worst of his life, watched her for a moment before immediately sweeping her up onto his lap and very gently and tenderly wrapping his arms around her, keeping her into his chest as though to prevent anymore pain from coming near her. His lips began coating the side of her expression in warm, sweet and shaky kisses as he realized that this was all he could do. He couldn't prevent the pain, and he hated that, but he could at least keep her close, let her know that he was there. He could feel her heartbeat going so rapidly, her chest right by his own, sensing how numb and pale she was, how much that pain had hurt her. "Calm down," he pleaded to her gently, hating that it felt as though her heart was about to burst out of her chest. "It's alright now..." he promised her ear, still planting kisses as he kept her close to himself, curled up on the couch.
This was officially the worst thing he had ever witnessed in his life. Nothing compared to this. Nothing. Not even when they were running away from the kidnappers and his mind was constantly filled with guilt and worry, not when he saw his own home destroyed by the kidnappers, not anything on the planet could compare to how horrible it was to watch his wife go into such extreme pain and having no way to prevent it or even help in the slightest.

Vianna was only vaguely aware of the fact that she was on Ferris's lap now, that his arms were wrapped around her and he was so close now, her mind still a little distracted by that terrible pain. But she felt better, she felt better in his arms, in his presence, comforted by the sound of his voice and the feel of his lips on her skin. She was quiet for the next few moments, still catching her breath softly, still waiting for her heart to slow down, to stop beating so fervently; until, as the time passed, she was back to normal, her senses alert and her breathing back to normal.
But the girl was wary now. Contractions didn't usually come so soon one after the other, and they usually didn't come that strong or last that long either. It had only been around twenty minutes since that first contraction in the bathtub, this was the initial pattern, and unfortunately for the girl, it only seemed to worsen with time as, only another twenty minutes later, the third contraction struck, just as long and painful as the last two. The pattern was slowly beginning to form, Vianna could feel it, and they could both see it on the times Ferris was writing down each time. By the fourth time, the girl had given up on staying on the couch, finding that staying still wasn't helping in keeping her distracted from the pain. So she stood, and she paced around the living room, sometimes left into the kitchen, then returned to the living room in hopes that moving around could distract her from the pain. But as the time continued to pass, even walking became a bit of a difficult task during such a painful experience.
The first six contractions were all about twenty minutes apart, each lasting a few seconds longer than the last. By the time the seventh, eight, and ninth arrived, the in-between time was only around fifteen minutes; and again, they began to last longer, to hurt even worse. It was the absolute worst feeling the girl had ever experienced, and it only got worse and worse, to the point where she had to return to the couch and was barely given enough time to recover herself between contractions. They were lasting much longer now, and the time between each was only a few minutes; not enough time for the girl to catch her breath, to control her heartbeat, to do anything to distract herself from the almost constant pain.
This continued for hours into the afternoon, and it wasn't until around four-fifteen that Vianna decided, "Professor... he's coming." Her voice was almost inaudible, weakened by the constant pain she was exposed to now; but the doctor had gone over this with them - once the contractions began to show patterns, once they were exactly five minutes apart… that was the time. The time they needed to rush into the hospital. That was the time that signaled the time for delivery had arrived and the baby could no longer remain in the mother's womb, it was his time to come into the world.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: I need twenty minutes or so! This was the worst experience Ferris had ever had in all of his life. He knew that it was ten times worse for his beautiful wife, as he had watched her find pain over and over again, quickly finding that there was no relief from it as the contractions began to come closer and closer, longer and longer until it seemed as though she was always in pain with no breaks and no relief. And he was doing nothing. What could he do? He felt incredibly useless, documenting the times of the contractions and how long they lasted, watching as she paced the rooms and finally sat down, every few minutes seeming to freeze with this sharp, unforgiving pain.
It was horrible. Worse than horrible.
It felt like he was the one feeling her pain, he'd never felt so incredibly helpess before, totally useless to the woman he loved more than anything, forced to just be at her side and watch as she fell farther and farther into the worst pain of her life. He was dying to do something, anything for her, but there was nothing to do, nothing that could alleviate her pain until they got to the hospital and the nurses gave her the potion that would numb her. All the young man did was document and make sure they were ready to go to the hospital, packing the clothes in a baby bag and setting them by the couch as he followed her from room to room, always at her side for every contraction, every bit of her pain was shared with him as he murmured sweet, comforting words to her. His hand hardly ever left her own, letting her squeeze it and break his bones for all he cared, he just wanted to do anything, everything for her. And all he could do was be there. So he was.
Finally, finally, when the contractions had become so close together that it was hard to tell if she was ever just not having one, the woman at his side said his favourite nickname, her voice just barely audible as she told him that the baby was coming. His brown eyes widened at this statement, knowing that this was happening as the contractions were so frequent there wasn't a doubt in his mind that Gabe would be coming sooner rather than later. But the words being said like that were much more real than any assumption, and caused a bit of shock to run through him before he immediately acted. The second she said it the young man was up on his feet, grabbing the baby bag as he helped his wife up from the couch very gently, tenderly as he supported her back. "It's okay, gem, we're gonna get you there and you'll get that potion, alright?" he promised her, flashing her a weak smile as he placed a loving kiss to her temple before walking into the fireplace with a handful of floo powder.

Vianna was up on her feet very slowly, thanks to Ferris's help. She couldn't even feel her legs or feet at this point, the pain was too great and it seemed that all her senses were concentrated solely on it, not on anything else, not on any other part of her body. It was absolutely horrible, and the fact that it had been going on for hours didn't necessarily make the pain any easier to deal with, it didn't make her feel like it wasn't that bad. It was that bad, and it only seemed to grow worse and worse with each passing second, it was the most terrible physical pain she had ever felt in her life and at this point all she wanted was for it to be over, to go away, to finally have a moment to just breathe and relax without this constant punishment.
Vianna nodded her head just very slightly, wincing softly to herself as she walked in slow steps beside her husband, listening as he assured her that once they were in the hospital the nurses would give her a numbing potion, that this pain wouldn't last forever. She was barely aware of his lips meeting her temple, a sweet gesture that would've gotten her to smile at any other time, but at that point even smiling seemed impossible. She simply had no strength for it, all she could feel at this moment was the incessant, unforgiving pain enveloping around her back and belly, the pain that almost had her on the verge of tears, a pain that she simply could not put into words, could not explain.
Just moments after the couple had stepped into the fireplace and Ferris had released the floo powder from his hand, the two of them disappeared in a fire of green flames, leaving behind their squirrels, bunnies, and cat, all of which had witnessed all of this and wondered vaguely what was going on with their owners. Once in the hospital, the couple were quickly led over to the sixth floor (which I just made up because when I made my research it seemed none of the floors at St. Mungo's applied for what Fervi's there for xD), which was entirely dedicated only to this which the couple had come for. Vianna was made to change and stay in the delivery room, though the nurses could not give her any numbing potion right away as they still had to wait for the right time, the exact moment that she had to begin delivering the baby. They had a few minutes before the doctor arrived, time during which the girl never dropped her husband's hand, holding to it as if her life depended on it (and this was just now, so in a few hours, chances were all bones in Ferris's hands were going to end up broken).
Before coming to the hospital, Fervi had gotten in touch with their doctor, who had confirmed they needed to head to the hospital as soon as possible, and who was now walking into the room right at that moment, greeting the couple with that usual cheery smile, though it turned a little more sympathetic as it fell upon the mother-to-be. He was their doctor, after all, they couldn't just have the delivery go with another random doctor they'd never seen before. This was also done to help the mother relax, feel less tense and more at ease, knowing that there was more than one familiar face in the room, that the doctor who'd been helping them all these months (and years, if you count the visits they'd made even before the pregnancy) would be helping them again during the delivery as well.
"I think it's time, Mrs. Montgomery," announced Dr. Nameless with a warm smile after he'd taken a moment to check up on the girl, to make sure she was physically ready for what was to come. He turned to one of the nurses then, giving her a brief nod, and the nurse proceeded to fill a small glass vial with the potion that would make the girl's pain go away, half her body to grow numb.
ooc: If you wanna RP what Ferris might've been doing/thinking/feeling at this time on your post, then I'll go ahead and FF to after the delivery on my next post, or if you'd rather do it yourself on the next post that's cool too.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: I'll let you FF in your next post! Ferris was at Vianna's side the entire time, only releasing her hand when she had to change into her hospital robe for about two seconds and then quickly grasping it once more. But he didn't want her to ever think that she was alone in this situation, he was always there, right by her side and helping to lay her in the hospital bed as he took a seat at the bedside in one of the hospital chairs, both of his hands enveloping her own as they waited for the doctor to come and the potion to be given. He had to keep himself from scowling at the nurses when they informed the couple that they had to wait to give Vianna the potion, a statement that was like a ton of bricks on the young man's heart who wanted nothing more than his wife's pain to go away. But he knew that it was their jobs and so he refrained, simply flashing Vianna an encouraging smile. "Soon enough," he'd said at the time, kissing her forehead once more and tucking some of her beautiful hair behind her ear. During the wait for the doctor, Ferris had sent an owl out to both his mother and Vianna's, knowing that they would be able to communicate it to everyone else. Every once in a while they'd hear an update of the number of people all filing into the waiting room, all there for Vianna and Gabe. It was absolutely mad to think of how this morning had been one just like any other, completely normal as they'd assumed Gabe would still be in Vianna's belly for a couple more weeks. But now... Well, now they were in a hospital room dealing with contractions and getting ready to deliver their baby boy.
Finally, when the doctor arrived and announced that it was time for the baby to start being delivered, Ferris felt a jolt of both pleasant surprise and anxiety run through him as he realized that this would be the final step to getting Gabe but also probably the most painful (though hopefully it wouldn't be that bad with the potion). He brought his chair closer to her, right there at her side as the doctor instructed the nurses to give her the potion finally, and he flashed her a warm smile, brown eyes sparkling at her encouragingly. "We're almost done, gem," he promised as he kissed her hand lovingly, warm and familiar on her soft skin. He leaned forward and kissed her cheek sweetly right before they gave her the potion and eased some of her pain, getting up from his seat in anticipation of Vianna needing him closer or needing both of his hands to squeeze or just needing him, really.
