Default That Summer - V.5!

This is a continued role-play created by hazydazy012, and thanks to Gryffindoll, emmafan123 and Lily Lupin this RP, plot and a couple characters are still thriving! It's one of our longest running RPs in a LONG time, if not the longest. So congrats to you girls for doing such a good job at keeping the thread(s) active, and enjoy.

This is version (5) FIVE, the first four threads have reached their post limits. From the original thread:

One year at Hogwarts a mysterious spell was cast that not even the professors can undo. You wouldn't be able to see a difference at Hogwarts, just looking at the school, but it actually made magic impossible! Not a single person or creature could cast a spell while in the school. How are the students supposed to learn when they can't try out the new spells? Sure, most were devestated, (Especially the 7th years! How are they supposed to finish their last year?!) but of course, some were estatic too! Who doesn't want to have a longer summer vacation? So, most students go home in high spirits TWO months before Hogwarts was officially supposed to be let out for summer break. Only one week into their luxuriously long holiday, every student recieves this letter:

"It is mandatory for any students who want to complete their year to attend "La Bacchetta Magica", a summer learning camp for wizards located in a small getaway near Tuscany. You will be finishing up the studies that were unfinished at Hogwarts. Please bring your wand and other necessary items for regular classes."

Fantastic. Some are angry, but most are excited! I mean, it's called "The Magic Wand" in Italian, for goodness sakes. It's gotta be fun. And guess what?! It is! Everyone is having a great time with the mix of school and just plain summer camp fun! How will the Divinations in the morning and campfires at night affect the students? You decide!

Please join! There will need to be a few professors/camp counselors! Even number of boys and girls, please. Post a bio with a picture, thanks!

(P.S. I looked up "La Bacchetta Magica" and it told me "The Magic Wand" but it was only an online translator. If I'm wrong, then whoops! Heehee)

OOC: Oh my gawsh so am I!!! I dunno why this is all of a sudden impressive that we're both distracted....

This was the part where things got a little difficult, when the Greek words started to be noticeable when they got down to the small town. Many, many people, all scattered around the small but lively town, selling fresh fish and vegetables on the side of the cobblestone road, happy children running around the many stands, grandparents sitting around and watching with near sparkling eyes. And this was all great and wonderful, except for the fact that Ferris hardly knew any Greek. In fact, he barely knew a word of it, and he'd never even tried to use that on a real native speaker. And so, as all of these foreign but warm words fell into the mix, he was reminded that they were in a foreign country and that it might be a little more difficult to find someone who spoke English there. Thankfully for them, however, it was definitely a magic-practicing town, as wands were nearly everywhere; helping the fish to fly into their proper positions in the stand, the kids playing wizard's chess in some places. Ferris's brown eyes widened at the sight.

ooc: Bahahah neither do I, but it's GOOD!

Vianna seemed to have the same realization Ferris did as they arrived to the small Greek town. At least when they'd visited Athens and all those other large cities, it had been a little easier since there were many other tourists who spoke English and tour guides who spoke English as well, and many signs on buildings and the roads were bilingual or trilingual. However, here, in a very small town that probably didn't make most of its income from tourism but rather fishing, there seemed not to be a person who could help the couple out in their search for a restaurant. "I think we have a bit of a problem, Professor..." muttered the young girl softly, giving a weak chuckle as she shrunk the broom and placed it away in one of her pockets before taking Ferris's hand and beginning to walk down the streets of the tiny town, scanning their surroundings for anything that hinted at being a restaurant or at least some place where they could find food and spend some time out for a bit.

OOC:

Ferris turned to Vianna as she spoke, mentioning the idea that they might've had a problem. He gave a weak cuckle at this, intwining their fingers as they started down the road. "Yeah, you might be right..." he murmured softly. Why hadn't he considered this?! Of course they wouldn't be able to communicate, they didn't speak Greek! He mentally smacked his own forehead once more, though his brown eyes were on the people around them, curiously taking in the sight of everything around him. "Wizard's Chess seems to be pretty popular..." the young man said with an almost longing in the very back of his brown eyes. But he loved Wizard's Chess! In fact, he still argued with Vianna about it being a sport, just like they had on the very first day they met... Before he could get too caught up in memories, the young man suddenly found that he was stepping on something. He paused, holding Vianna back from walking as he looked under his shoe to see a crushed white knight, groaning in pain at being snapped in half (as it was obviously magical). "Oh," he said with furrowed brows, looking around only to see a young boy around the age of five who was staring at him as though he'd just slapped Santa Claus in the face. "O-Oh! I'm sorry!" Ferris immediately said, suddenly having minor flashbacks to when he was a kid, learning how to play the game from Mr. Nordoff. He released Vianna's hand and picked up the groaning, overdramatic chess piece in his large pale hand as he hesitantly started to walk towards the kid who was sitting by the board with a few other kids and a number of older grandparents around eating and drinking. But the whole street seemed to be watching him now, as though picking up the chess piece seemed to alert every single one of them that there were new people in the town.

Ferris gave a sheepish chuckle at the audience before turning to the young boy who looked as though he was close to tears. "Oh...oh, don't cry," he pleaded softly (even though the Greek boy obviously couldn't understand him) with a weak chuckle as he got down on his knee to better face the kid who was still a couple feet away. But he didn't want to scare him, especially since the young boy didn't seem to know English, as he replied in stuttering Greek. Ferris hesitated a moment before pulling out his wand and sharing a glance with Vianna before turning his brown eyes back to the tanned little boy before him as he did a silent charm that he'd researched in his sixth year at Hogwarts. With his wand at the ready, the white knight slowly came back to life, small sparkles of gold glitter (for show, of course, Ferris added it to amuse the young boy) surrounding the knight as he got back onto his horse with a bit of a grin, looking even better than he had before.

The little boy gasped at the sight, green eyes widening as he watched this before turning back to Ferris with a look of disbelief. And just in that moment, all of the little kids around starting running towards the young English boy, each holding little chess pieces that were roughed up and needed sparkles as well. "O-Oh! Alright, alright," Ferris said between soft chuckles, flashing all of them a warm smile as he took another piece into his hand. The adults around them were laughing, smiling as their originally tentative expressions faded away, obviously amused to see this gangly pale boy being nearly knocked over and surrounded by nine or ten tanned, excited children speaking a different language. But most of the people in that small town stuck to basic magic, they'd never delved wholeheartedly into spellbooks like Ferris had in order to learn that sort of complicated spell. It amazed both the children and adults.

ooc: Holy mother of pearl! WOOT!

Vianna couldn't help but chuckle softly as Ferris commented that Wizard's Chess seemed to be popular in the tiny town, as it was so typical of him to notice this (which Vianna hadn't really realized, being a little distracted by the fish and searching for a restaurant). "Maybe we can get a set somewhere and play for a bit before heading to bed tonight," said the young girl with a smile, though her gaze remained around her surroundings, a little distracted. However, the young girl was soon snapped back to reality and out of her search as Ferris suddenly held her back, catching the young girl completely off-guard. Brows furrowed slightly, she turned to the boy a couple steps behind with confusion on her features, watching as he then checked under his shoe to find a broken chess piece. Vianna's eyebrows rose just very slightly at this, and she watched as the boy seemed to catch sight of a young child not too far away, staring at him as if he'd just committed a crime.

It was then that Ferris proceeded to fix the broken chess piece for the little boy, and Vianna watched this with amusement and even endearment in her crystal blue eyes, looking even rather fascinated by her husband's kind gesture. But this was just one of the many things she loved about him, one of the many things that made her realize how amazing he was and how lucky she was to have someone so kind-hearted and considerate with others. Amused, the Italian girl couldn't help but fall into a fit of amused giggles as a whole crowd of little kids came running in his direction, hoping that the boy would fix their chess pieces as well. At this point, Vianna forgot all about the restaurant they were supposed to find, the mission they were supposed to be on; she was distracted by this amusing and endearing sight, by how sweet her husband was and how he clearly caught the attention of many of the people around, not only the kids. But this town didn't get many tourists often, and so they probably weren't used to seeing such tall, pale English boys wandering their streets.

OOC: That's right! China exists again!

Ferris was still chuckling softly at all of this high-pitched Greek being thrown at him, nearly a dozen little hands outreaching to him with multi-coloured chess pieces in their grasps. He shared a look with Vianna that read 'How did this happen!?' but he obviously wasn't very upset with it, sort of used to little kids since he had Nathan and his friends around a lot when he was growing up. He took each piece into his hand, one by one, finally taking a seat on the cobblestone as he restored each piece to its former glory and more so. With each glittering transformation, the little kids 'Ooh'ed and 'Ahh'ed each time, eyes wide and amazed as they watched this, some even clapping at the most dramatic of transformations. He let out a soft chuckle at this, obvious amusement in his grinning pale expression, and the little kids looked as though they'd known the young man for years; arms around his neck, leaning over his shoulders for a better view without hesitation, some even playing with his curls curiously, giggling moments later.

"Do...'ou only speek Englush?" one of the older grandparents spoke to both Vianna and Ferris, gray eyebrows rising as he obviously spoke English, but a very small amount. Ferris grinned at him, giving a brief nod and a "Yes, we do!", though he couldn't really reply all that much as the kids were still hogging up all of his attention. It was sort of strange, but a lot of people found Ferris to be...automatically trustworthy. It's hard to describe how a lot of little kids, even animals and regular people seemed to be immediately at ease with him, getting under the impression that he was innocent and wouldn't do any harm. Which was exactly right.

ooc:

Vianna was watching this scene of little kids all around her husband, now tackling him into friendly hugs and playing with his curls as if he was the most interesting of life-sized toys, and she giggled lightly to herself at the sight, unable to help herself from finding it to be one of the cutest scenes she had ever witnessed. The young girl was distracted from this, though, as one of the elders spoke in English, and the girl's eyebrows rose in surprise. She hadn't expected anyone to know even the simplest of English words, but it seemed the couple might actually get lucky this time. Vianna was quick to reply as Ferris gave a 'yes, we do!' nodding her head enthusiastically. "We were looking for a restaurant, actually," the girl explained, hoping the man would at least understand just the word 'restaurant'. "Would you happen to know where we could find one?"

The old man and the rest of the people on the sreet seemed to pay attention to Vianna mainly now, a few of them probably knowing a few English words, but the old man probably knowing the most. As Vianna explained that she and the pale English boy were looking for a restaurant, asking if they knew where they could find one, it seemed to be a little too much for the old man to comprehend. He did, however, caught a few select words. "Rest-or-aunt?" he repeated, once more raising his eyebrows slightly. "No..." he gently shook his head before turning to the rest of the people around him and speaking in fast Greek.

"OH!" said an old woman who looked to be around seventy or so, her wrinkled skin tanned golden from her years in the Greek sun. She turned to Vianna and Ferris with wide eyes and a friendly smile on her face, before shaking her head and wiping her hands on her apron, beginning to gather something from all of the carts.

"She'z...making 'ou both..food," the old man explained, rubbing his fingers together as he attempted to grasp the right words. "Real...reech sourt of Greek food!" he announced joyously. It was then that Ferris managed to peek his head up from the children who were still surrounding him as though they'd never seen something so amusing in their lives, his brown eyes slightly concerned.

"O-Oh, that's really not neces--" he was cut off as the old woman came up and shoved a large piece of strong cheese in his mouth, a friendly grin still on her oddly pretty face. "Shhh!" she said with a chuckle before returning to the fish she was quickly working into a meal.

Vianna seemed a little disappointed as the old Greek man shook his head slightly at her question, though she did well in masking it with a polite smile. But the young girl was momentarily distracted from the man as an old woman not too far away gave an 'OH!' and began to gather something from the carts around them. Vianna was confused now, her brows furrowing slightly before she turned back to the old man who was now explaining that the woman was making food. At this, Vianna's eyebrows rose with surprise, and she was just about to share how that wasn't necessary when Ferris beat her to it, only to be cut off as the old woman shoved a piece of cheese in the boy's mouth. Vianna tried to stifle her giggles but failed miserably, far too amused by the sight of her husband surrounded by children and having cheese shoved into his mouth. Why hadn't she brought a camera?!

"He's right, though, you really don't have to do this, we were just looking for a place to eat tonight, it's not a big deal!" said the girl, momentarily forgetting that the old man probably wasn't really getting nearly half the words she was saying.

Ferris shot Vianna a playful scowl as he caught sight of her giggling at him, though he couldn't help but be completely amused with this old woman's way of making her guests accept her hospitality. He chewed on the delicious cheese (goat) as his brown eyes drifted back to the many kids around him, once more picking up his wand and beginning to show the more charms.

Though the old man couldn't really understand what Vianna was talking about, the old woman seemed to be completely aware of body language, and being the hostess she was, it was obvious to her when people were being gracious, attempting to be nice and refusing the offer. And so, she came up to Vianna with another piece of cheese, holding it up for her with raised eyebrows as though to say 'Do you want to take it, or let me do it for you?'. Ferris laughed at this, as did the little children who began to chatter to him in fast-paced Greek. And slowly but surely all of the people on the street began to fall back into their easy chatter as the sun started to go down further in the sky, coating the entire scene in a sweet orange glow. All of the women set to work on the fish and the vegetables, cutting up meats and stewing them with delicious herbs (a scent that drifted over to Ferris's nose from his spot on the ground, forcing his stomach to grumble) and the men continued to chatter and play chess.

"Come over here," Ferris called with a bit of a grin to his wife who was still standing. He then turned to the old man who knew bits of English. "Names?" he said softly, pointing to the children as he attempted to keep it simple.

Vianna was a bit startled when the old woman suddenly came up to her with a large piece of cheese, giving her a raised-eyebrow look that easily translated into any other language the young girl could have possibly spoken. "I-- Wel-- Thank you!" said Vianna with a polite but rather flustered chuckle, taking the piece of cheese into her slender hands, looking a little uneasy. But she couldn't help feeling a little bad about being a bother to these people, it was simply the way the girl had been raised, things like this overwhelmed her a little and got her to fluster rather easily.

Vianna was distracted from the cheese she'd just been given, though, as Ferris spoke, asking her to come over to him as he remained sitting on the ground being surrounded by children. The young girl rose her eyebrows slightly, not really sure where exactly he was expecting her to go, but she came a couple steps closer to the small crowed of children, though she still seemed a little cautious, a little hesitant, and she took a small bite from the cheese she'd just been given as Ferris asked for the kids' names. She turned to the old man then and listened as he then began to list them off, pointing at each child as he gave its name - all very Greek, of course - and Vianna followed his line of sight as he mentioned the name of each young child, a mix of curiosity and amusement on her lightly tanned features, along with a bit of fascination as well; but to this day, the girl's fascination with Greek culture was still as strong as it had been only about a year ago when they were visiting this land for the first time.

OOC: Ok! Byyyeeee Deeeee Deruperssss!

Ferris listened with increasing interest as the old man listed off the very Greek names of all of the children surrounding him, each of which perked up just slightly as they heard their names called and realized that they were making introductions then. His eyebrows rose slightly and he gave a soft chuckle as they all turned to him, beginning to announce their own names all at once in thick Greek, bright smiles on their faces. He nodded at each, trying to remember these things, and even catching onto a few names, but soon enough they were all poking and pointing at him, confusing the boy whose brows furrowed slightly. He looked to the old man with confusion, only to hear that they wanted to know his name. "Oh!" he said with a soft chuckle, turning his sparkling brown eyes back to the kids with a grin, "Ferris," he said slowly, one hand on his chest as he gestured to himself. Many of the small children attempted to repeat this, but it came out more like 'Fur-ees'. He chuckled softly at this, giving a brief nod of approval before he turned to see Vianna still standing a couple steps away and his smile only widened. "You're far away," he noted playfully, and with his recognition of the Italian girl, all of the small children turned to her with wide eyes. "C'mere," he murmured with a small smile, patting the place at his side on the cobblestones. "Vianna," Ferris explained softly to the small children, pointing to the girl just a couple feet away. The children thought on this for a moment before all trying to repeat this, but it came out more like 'Vee-awnne-na-nah'.

Vianna watched with amusement as the little kids began to introduce themselves to Ferris before they began to ask the boy for his own name, which he eventually shared and the little kids tried to pronounce as best they could. The young girl couldn't help but giggle lightly at this, it was so cute to hear them try to pronounce such an English name with the strong accent of their native Greek tongue. It was then that the boy turned to her, announcing that she was still far away, and Vianna's eyebrows rose slightly before she gave a soft chuckle and joined the boy on the cobblestone path he was sitting on, her blue eyes roaming over all of the young faces watching them, curiosity in their large, sparkling eyes. It was then that the boy beside her introduced the girl to the little kids, and Vianna giggled lightly once more as they tried to pronounce her name. "Nice to meet you," said the girl politely though she knew the kids probably didn't understand this phrase, then beginning to tear her piece of cheese into smaller bite-sized pieces, still feeling a little off that the old lady had gone off to make them food when they were just strangers.

Ferris couldn't help but let his smile widen as Vianna gave the small children a 'Nice to meet you', knowing very well that they couldn't understand her but finding his wife to be unintentionally adorable. He leaned towards her and pressed a sweet kiss to her cheek, only to hear the small children around them beginning to giggle and the adults behind them beginning to clap their hands. "'Ou awr a..." the old man started, bringing his two hands together as he attempted to grasp the word he was looking for, "..coople?"

Ferris gave a soft chuckle and a brief nod at this, bringing up his left hand to show the adults the nice gold band around his ring finger. Many of the women let out 'Aww's as they all seemed to realize that Fervi was married, some even coming over to kiss both Ferris's and Vianna's cheeks merrily. The young man let out a sheepish chuckle at the sudden contact but gave a brief nod of thanks, a warm smile still on his face as he turned to exchange an amused look with his wife. The young kids were still surrounding them as amazing smells began to fill the air, the sun almost completely down as dusk began to fall upon the scene. One little girl was still tugging playfully at Ferris's curls, another one sitting in his lap and yet another on Vianna's, the rest simply sitting around them or standing up absentmindedly to observe the couple. Though Ferris's right hand was currently being turned over and played with by a couple little kids, his left one slipped into Vianna's, intwining their fingers.

ooc: I ended up taking a really short nap after all!

Vianna's smile widened as Ferris's lips met her cheek, and she couldn't help but chuckle softly as the old man asked if they were a couple and the boy beside her showed him his wedding ring she'd placed on his finger the morning before. The young girl couldn't help but beam at this sight, memories of their wedding flooding her mind, and she was momentarily dazed before being snapped back to reality as some of the elders came over to the couple and began awarding them kisses on the cheek, congratulation them on their union. Vianna gave a flustered chuckle at all the sudden attention and kind gestures, giving thank yous and grazies here and there. The young girl seemed a little startled, too, as one of the little girls made herself comfortable on he young girl's lap, a little caught off-guard by the kids' trusting. It didn't surprise her that they'd trust Ferris, but... her?! (Not that they shouldn't, it's not like Vianna was walking around with spiked boots and scary make-up, but she wasn't all that used to kids). Ironically enough, the little girl resembled the older one an awful lot, her own large eyes crystal blue and her dark blonde hair long and silky like Vianna's, her skin lightly tanned as well. Vianna seemed a little distracted by this, giving a flustered smile as the little girl beamed up at her and began examining the Italian girl's long brown hair, making some cheery comments in Greek Vianna obviously couldn't understand. The young wife was only snapped out of this as the boy beside her took one of her hands, and she turned to him with a small warm smile, giving a soft chuckle as some of the kids seemed to catch notice of this gesture and started commenting in Greek.

OOC: Ruthie wins! Are you feeling better?

Ferris's smile only widened as he caught sight of the little girl in Vianna's lap, unable to help but notice the small similarities between the two. But he didn't have much longer to observe this as the kids around him seemed to demand a good bit of attention, the one in his lap staring up at him with wide green eyes. He gave a soft chuckle at the sight, "Yes, I see you there," he said in English, knowing full well that the young girl couldn't quite understand him, but the amusement on his face was obvious to her. She said something to him in Greek, her tanned skin lighting up just slightly as she attempted to explain something she'd done that day, but obviously not getting through to the English boy. "Oh, yes, you're Greek is very nice," he agreed with a nod just to agree with her, and she seemed pleased that he was going along with her, enjoying the way that the English rolled out in his naturally deep voice. She continued to ramble on in fast paced Greek, every once in a while another child attempting to speak over her to add to whatever she was saying, but she was mainly speaking to Ferris, examining him with those same wide green eyes. She couldn't have been older than three, and was absolutely adorable as she moved her hands rather clumsily as she spoke. "Oh?" Ferris would interject every once in a while, brown eyes sparkling at her as he let out a soft chuckle, obviously amused.

ooc: Yeah I definitely feel more energized now! I was just soooo tired earlier. Like, I wanted to be online, but... like, all lazy, just posting dumb stuff... pranking people... etc.

Vianna gave a light amused giggle as the little girl sitting on her lap began to share something with her in Greek before distracting herself by playing with the Italian girl's long brown hair, trying to braid it but failing rather miserably at it; she was a little too young still, probably around four, to really know how to braid yet. But that didn't stop her from running her little fingers through the girl's silky hair, playing with it and commenting something every now and then, rather startling Vianna. But there was Vianna, just watching her rather admiringly, and then all of a sudden the little girl would jump and say something out in Greek rather loudly, excitedly, and it never failed to make Vianna jump a little in surprise before giving a soft, amused chuckle. She'd never known Greek children could be so friendly; or at least the ones in this small town; and she couldn't help but be reminded of her homeland, as the little kids all could have easily passed off as southern Italians, with their tanned skin and lively nature which Vianna was so used to seeing in the kids in her own homeland.

The girl was momentarily distracted from the little girl sitting on her lap, though, as she turned to the boy beside her only to find him having a conversation (sort of) with the little 3-year-old sitting on his lap, only to have other kids come in and try to add in their own Greek comments. Vianna giggled lightly at this sight, completely endeared by it. But she couldn't help it, her husband just looked so cute all surrounded by little kids trying to share their stories with him, it was something that got her crystal blue eyes to sparkle with adoration before she was snapped back to reality as the child on her lap began speaking again, calling out a certain Greek word. "Huh?" Vianna gave the child a puzzled look; and, the child, seeing that Vianna wasn't understanding her, proceeded to take the girl's cheese from her hand and took a small piece from it, then handing it to Vianna. Vianna's eyebrows rose slightly and she chuckled softly; she wanted her to eat the cheese! "Oh, well, thank you!" said the girl with another chuckle, taking the small piece of cheese and taking a bite from it, being watched closely by the little girl sitting on her lap waiting to hand her another piece.

OOC: Well I'm glad you're better now!

Ferris was definitely being told a story, he could tell that much by the way this little girl's voice was wavering and how she refused to stop making eye contact with those amazingly green eyes. The young man just nodded every once in a while, letting out "Ooh"s and "Yes, I see,"s, all of the amusement on the planet sparkling in his chocolate eyes. Finally, she was distracted from her story as she caught sight of his watch, pulling up his right hand and setting it on her lap, examining it methodically and tapping at it as though sure that it would open if she persuaded it to do so. "Yes, that's my watch," the young man replied with a bit of a grin, letting out a soft chuckle as she then turned over his forearm and caught sight of black lettering from beneath the piece of jewelry. "Would you like to see my tattoos?" Ferris asked with a raise of his eyebrows, gently pulling back his watch as the little girl attempted to do so herself. Her little fingers ran over his inked skin, over the "Professor Fer" and all of his and Vianna's doodles, permanently etched onto his pale wrist. Her eyes widened further, as did all of the rest of the children around, as they examined this and shared comments in thick Greek.

Ferris just turned his head to share an amused glance with Vianna when he spotted her sharing some cheese with the little girl currently residing on her lap. He let out a soft chuckle at the sight, noting how every once in a while the four-year-old played with his wife's long brown hair, attempting to braid it. "Looks like you've found a friend," the young man announced with a playful smile just as all of the women began to set up a large table, spreading out the table cloth.

Vianna couldn't help but chuckle softly as Ferris turned to her and announced to the girl that she'd found a friend, something which rather amused the Italian girl. "It seems so..." she muttered absentmindedly, her amused blue eyes returning to the equally blue ones of the little girl sitting on her lap who was now offering her another piece of cheese, saying something in Greek. Her tone was very matter-of-factly, as if she was explaining to the older girl the importance of eating cheese before a meal or something of the sort, and Vianna couldn't help but giggle lightly at this, far too amused and endeared by this. But though she had been a little hesitant and flustered and confused at first, Vianna was slowly beginning to warm up to these kids, especially the little one sitting on her lap. It was a shame kids weren't like pets and she couldn't just take whichever she liked and bring it back home (and give Ferris a heart attack with this idea as well).

OOC: Bahahha Vianna comes home with a kid like, "Look what I found at the pet store Professor! "

Ferris watched this adorable sort of exchange between his wife and the little girl in her lap, admiring it for a moment with sparkling eyes before he was quickly pulled back to his own little lap hog who was now absentmindedly running her hand along one of his cheeks, taking in the feel of his growing scruff. "Yes, I know, I haven't gotten the chance to shave," he said with a playful roll of his eyes, as though she was reprimanding him. And crazily enough, it was almost as though she could understand him as she giggled and pulled her hand away, instead returning to his tattoos and admiring them curiously.

Soon enough, however, one of the old women was announcing something in Greek and everyone seemed to turn to see a large table dressed in old tablecloths (stretching all the way down the side of the cobblestone road as this seemed to be the tradition for special occasions, so everyone could sit at the table) covered in food. Ferris's eyebrows rose at the sight, and before he could get up himself, all of the little kids scurried away towards the food, realizing that it was time for dinner. He let out a soft chuckle before getting to his feet and helping Vianna up as well to exchange a small smile with her as he led her over to the table, hands still intwined. The old woman ushered them both to two seats across from one another near the center of the table, and Ferris reluctantly released his wife's hand with an amused smile as he took his seat. It was a wonderful table, filled with authentic Greek dishes and treats, and had a beautiful backdrop as it grew darker and the stars began to come out, also a few strings of lights coming on along the cobblestone path.

OOC: I might need a few minutes here!

ooh: ROTFL! BAHAHA! Omg if Vi was supposed to be dumb like Kelso I'd totally have her do something like that.
& Okay Ruthless!

Vianna was momentarily distracted from the little girl sitting on her lap as one of the old Greek women announced something and everyone scurried off to the large table that had been set up. Vianna's eyebrows rose slightly at the sight but she was soon smiling, a little overwhelmed by these people's friendly kindness. The young girl then got up to her feet with her husband's help, accompanying him over to the table before they were separated, set up to sit opposite to one another. Vianna then sat at the seat that had been given to her, across from her husband, and gave the boy a small smile before her crystal blue eyes roamed over all the Greek dishes laid out on the table, her eyebrows raising slightly once again at the sight of so much food, and it all smelled great too! And then, just as Vianna was taking an empty plate for herself, her new little friend seemed to appear from beneath the table, poking her head out from beneath the tablecloth and completely startling the older girl. "Oh! Ah! H-Hi!" stuttered out a clearly startled Vianna, watching as the little girl now climbed up to her lap (apparently having decided that this would be her permanent seat from now), only to catch the attention of one of the elders at the table who said something to the little girl in Greek, and though Vianna didn't understand Greek, she understood that the elder was most likely telling the little girl to get off the older girl's lap. "Oh! No, no, it's alright! I don't mind!" said Vianna quickly, waving her hands slightly. The little girl on her lap giggled lightly to herself and grinned at Vianna before reaching out to the plates on the table and stealing one with some sweet sort of Greek treat on it.

OOC: Aw mannn tooo funn...

Ferris was piling nearly everything onto his plate, immediately gaining the soft chuckles from the elder men and women around him, obviously amused by the young man's hunger. He gave a sheepish smile before beginning to dig in, his stomach fueling him as he continued to eat nearly half his plate in the next five minutes. It was all amazingly good, something that he hadn't really ever tasted before, and he definitely enjoyed it. It was only when his hunger began to dissipate and he began to grow more and more stuffed, that his brown eyes came up to see the sight of his wife eating as well, but with the same little girl on her lap. He gave a soft chuckle at the sight of this, his eating coming to a halt as he admired his wife's almost flustered but amused expression, the little girl eating dinner from her seat on her lap as though she'd been sitting there all her life. Just as he was beginning to look a little mad for staring too long, he realized that someone was tugging at the bottom of his dress shirt with little fingers. Ferris looked down only to see the little girl who'd been sitting on his own lap, obviously brought over by the reasoning that sitting on the guest's laps was now okay, since the other little girl had done it. But he could tell that this one was a bit more shy then the one currently residing on Vianna, and that she probably only would've come over had she seen an example of it done first by someone else. Brown eyes completely amused, his eyebrows rose as he stared back at those bright green eyes. "What? Did you want up with me?" he said with a bit of a grin, a couple of the old men around him turning around to chuckle at the sight of the little girl tugging at his sleeve now. "Alright, well you better get up here," he told her with a soft chuckle, turning to help her up onto his lap where she sat comfortably, staring up at him with that same curiosity. "What's her name again?" Ferris asked the old man next to him who was the one who understood some English.

"Acquilina," he replied in thick Greek, and the little girl turned slightly at the sound of her name. "Meanz 'eagle'," the old man explained to which Ferris gave a brief nod and a warm smile.

"Acquilina," Ferris repeated to the best of his ability and the little girl clapped her hands with a giggle.

The little girl on Vianna's lap distracted herself with the sweet treat she'd just taken for the next ten minutes, though as soon as she was done with it, she returned her attention to the older girl she was sitting on. She stole Vianna's fork then and attempted to pick up some of the girl's food with it, then turning back to the Italian girl and handing her the fork back with food upon it. Vianna couldn't help but chuckle softly with amusement at this; as the little girl on Ferris's lap was shy and quiet, the one on Vianna's lap was confident and in a very amusing way even motherly, as she seemed to treat Vianna as if she was the younger one here rather than the adult. But Vianna didn't mind; she liked this little girl's spirit, her outgoing nature, and the young wife couldn't help but wonder vaguely if perhaps the little girl was interested in broom racing as well. That would be perfect…

Vianna was momentarily distracted from her meal as Ferris asked for the name of the little girl on his lap, listening as the old man answered his question with a very Greek but beautiful name. Vianna smiled at the sound of it, and jumped slightly in surprise as the girl on her lap suddenly called out "Acquilina!" a grin adorning her lightly tanned face as she caught the attention of the other girl who must've been a year or two younger. Vianna watched this with amusement, and her blue eyes watched the girl on her lap as she took the nearest small plate that had some sort of ice cream treat on it and pushed it across the table toward the little girl on Ferris's lap, making an offer. Perhaps they were cousins or something, but it was clear the little girls were very familiar with each other and the slightly older one felt the need to take care of the younger one as she felt the need to make sure that Vianna ate all her food. This rather amused Vianna, who was now chuckling softly to herself, rather amazed by how much personality there could be in a young child.

ooc: Gimme like 15-20 minutes!

OOC: I enjoy that we took a break at the same time.

Both Ferris and Acquilina looked up as someone called out the little girl's name, only to find the little girl on Vianna's lap pushing a small plate of ice cream over the three foot width of the table towards them. He let out a soft chuckle at this and Acquilina eyed it for a moment before sinking back into Ferris's chest stubbornly, a gesture that made the young man turn to look at her. "Well, you better take it," he said with a bit of a grin, gesturing to the little girl who seemed to be a little stubborn at the moment. "Fine, I'll take it," he said with mock casualness, picking up the dessert and pretending to bring it towards himself as though he was going to eat it all in one bite, mouth open. Just as he was bringing it close to his mouth, Acquilina objected in Greek, bringing up two hands to pull back his one arm that was holding onto the ice cream plate. She grumbled to herself in thick Greek at the fact that he'd been about to eat what was so clearly her ice cream, looking much older than a three year old with her amusing expressions. He let out a soft chuckle at this, but was immediately aware that Acquilina wasn't truly upset with him as just moments later she began to eat the treat joyously to the amusement of Ferris's sparkling brown eyes, still on the cute little girl.

ooc: Awersome!

Vianna chuckled softly at the whole exchange between the girl on her lap and Acquilina and then with Ferris. "You're a very nice little girl, you know that?" said Vianna softly, addressing the girl on her lap who was now leaning back on her comfortably, listening to Vianna but not objecting to the lack of understanding, since obviously she didn't understand English. "You remind me of a certain cousin of mine..." Vianna added with a bit of a grin, watching as the little girl merely blinked at her with mild confusion before grinning back at the older girl and saying something excitedly in Greek, making many lively hand gestures to get her message across, but Vianna seemed to be having a hard time getting it, though she listened to the girl attentively, trying to decode the message. Why were these little kids so cute?!

OOC:

Ferris's earlobe was being tugged, the tip of his straight nose wiggled, his curls observed, and his cheeks pulled gently by this little girl who was currently residing on his lap, having finished her ice cream just moments ago. He couldn't help but laugh slightly at this, amusement sparkling behind his eyes as he watched her seem to study him in a very curious way, every once in a while telling him something in thick Greek, seeming to ask him small questions, and yawning every once in a while. "Are you tired?" the young man asked her softly, though he obviously knew that she couldn't understand him and didn't even try to make it any clearer. But the old man next to him thought differently and seemed to catch onto what the young groom was asking as he translated it to the little girl that nodded. And just like that she plopped over into the crook of Ferris's arm as though waiting for some cue, though it was really just a rather quirky quality to the silly little girl. "Oh!" Ferris said with a soft chuckle, eyebrows raising as she cuddled back into his side and the crook of his arm, obviously comfortable. Seeing her hair was all in her face, he quickly helped to brush it off her little cheeks as she let her eyes close. Before he knew it, there was another little kid tugging at his other sleeve, and he looked over to see the slightly older little boy of around five that he'd originally fixed the chess piece for, standing there with sleepy eyes. What?! Had he suddenly acquired a sign that alerted all little kids that he was a mattress? But he was amused and really didn't mind, so he gestured for the little boy to climb up and he did just that, settling into Ferris's other side and falling asleep with his head on his broad shoulder.
