This is a continued role-play created by hazydazy012, the other thread reached posting limit. From the previous thread:

One year at Hogwarts a mysterious spell was cast that not even the professors can undo. You wouldn't be able to see a difference at Hogwarts, just looking at the school, but it actually made magic impossible! Not a single person or creature could cast a spell while in the school. How are the students supposed to learn when they can't try out the new spells? Sure, most were devestated, (Especially the 7th years! How are they supposed to finish their last year?!) but of course, some were estatic too! Who doesn't want to have a longer summer vacation? So, most students go home in high spirits TWO months before Hogwarts was officially supposed to be let out for summer break. Only one week into their luxuriously long holiday, every student recieves this letter:

"It is mandatory for any students who want to complete their year to attend "La Bacchetta Magica", a summer learning camp for wizards located in a small getaway near Tuscany. You will be finishing up the studies that were unfinished at Hogwarts. Please bring your wand and other necessary items for regular classes."

Fantastic. Some are angry, but most are excited! I mean, it's called "The Magic Wand" in Italian, for goodness sakes. It's gotta be fun. And guess what?! It is! Everyone is having a great time with the mix of school and just plain summer camp fun! How will the Divinations in the morning and campfires at night affect the students? You decide!

Please join! There will need to be a few professors/camp counselors! Even number of boys and girls, please. Post a bio with a picture, thanks!

(P.S. I looked up "La Bacchetta Magica" and it told me "The Magic Wand" but it was only an online translator. If I'm wrong, then whoops! Heehee)

"Boring is better than being chased down by killer professors," Ferris mumbled rather bitterly. He turned his eyes to the squirrel as Vianna called it down, watching as the little creature took the marshmallow into its small paws and began to eat it. Ferris couldn't hold in the small smile that crossed his face...it was rather cute. He quickly let his smile fade though, this was no time to be watching cute squirrels eat marshmallows. He leaned gently against Vianna, not putting his full weight as that would possibly topple her over, but just leaning against her, his head resting on top of hers as he gazed at the grass, his hands folded over his lap.

Vianna sighed as Ferris came up with yet another counterargument for her words before then proceeding to lean against her, resting his head on hers. She smiled faintly at the gesture, but felt her spirits fading just slightly. She understood Ferris probably had every reason in the world to be the most negative person alive at this moment; being hunted down by murderers and being the reason why Ned and his parents were being held hostage wasn't necessarily the type of thing one would jump and cheer about. But she had promised him to be positive for the both of them, and so that's what she was determined to do. "But... would you have ever realized that you loved me if none of this would have happened?" she asked him, her eyes on the squirrel standing by her feet. "We probably wouldn't even be sitting like this right now if you hadn't been taken away that night..."

Ferris's first reaction was amusement, a smile reaching his face as she told him that if none of this had happened they wouldn't be together right now, that he might not have ever realized he loved her. But his smile faded as other thoughts came to him; they probably wouldn't be like this, sitting here under a tree, eating marshmallows and on the run. He hated to say it, to admit it, because this is what he loved so much, being here with her. "Have you ever thought that you'd be better off Vianna?" Ferris suggested, his face pained as he stopped leaning on her, staring at the ground. This thought hadn't really occured to him before and it brought on a new sense of shame. "Have you ever thought that if I didn't fall in love with you, if you never met me, that maybe you could be safe right now? You wouldn't have to be on the run, you would be able to leave and be safe. You wouldn't be so connected to this that you felt the need to stay. You and your brothers would leave. You would be more safe?"

Vianna's brows furrowed slightly, confused as Ferris pulled away from her and asked if she had ever thought that perhaps she would be better off if she had never met him in the first place. The young girl listened quietly as he spoke, her eyes finding Fluffy once again. "To be honest, Professor... I hadn't thought about that," she said, her brows still furrowed as she continued gazing down at her little pet who was now stealing another marshmallow from the bag. "Perhaps it's because I haven't found a reason to try to imagine my life without you, Professor. And I don't want to imagine it now," she added, shaking her head slightly. "I'm happy like this, I don't want to torment myself imagining alternate realities."

He actually found it quite offensive to be accused of being like his sister in this sense; it wasn't a compliment.

"Well, you're not as bad. But still pretty bad. Face it, there's a lot of things you'd easily believe." Kayla said. It was true, of course. A lot of the time when she was just being sarcastic Vince would believe her. "Being gullible isn't that bad, you know." She added, as Vince probably wouldn't have taken a liking to being told he was gullible.

Vince's jaw dropped as Kayla insisted that he was gullible. "That's not true!" he said, furrowing his brows at her. But he then looked away at the streets coming to view and let the girl take the lead. "Alright, so give me one example where I've been gullible and you'll win the argument."

Ferris looked over at her as she responded, disbelief on his face as she told him she didn't want to imagine her life without him and she was happy like this, she didn't want to torment herself by thinking of things like that. This girl was something he had never encountered before, someone who even in his darkest moment, made him feel like he was important and meant to be where he was. It was a feeling he wasn't expecting, this feeling of slight calm that washed over him at these words. Maybe it was because she had told him that she didn't want to be without him even after he gave her the option to easily agree she would be better off without him. For whatever reason, he wrapped his arms around the girl, pulling her into a warm embrace and placing a kiss on her forehead. "What's worse...Is that I'm happy too. I'm really happy," he murmured to her hair, knowing he should be feeling guilty for being so happy when Ned was being held hostage, his parents in Azkaban. But he couldn't manage to bring back any guilt at the moment. He needed her, she was very much that shining gem that brought light to things when he least expected it but most needed it.

Vianna's forehead creased slightly, worriedly, as she looked up at Ferris again after a moment's silence. She wondered if perhaps she was becoming a nuisance with her happy-go-lucky points of view on life, but was surprised to find that the boy seemed to take her words well. She let a smile light up her face as he wrapped his arms around her, and awarded her with a kiss on the forehead. She listened as he then shared that what was worse was that he was actually happy, and chuckled softly. "It's not your fault any of this is happening, Professor, you can't punish yourself for our bad luck."

"It doesn't matter though, that it isn't my fault this is happening," Ferris said, leaning back against the tree trunk with his arms still around her. "It is happening, and I'm still the one standing in the way of Ned getting his parents back," he said with a small shrug. "And who knows what will happen to Ned if the kidnappers don't get me soon?" he muttered. Though his spirits were a little higher, he needed to talk to someone about all of this.

"Mm." Vianna furrowed her brows slightly, distractedly watching an owl make its way through one of the windows in the buildings in the distance as Ferris shared that it didn't matter if things weren't his fault, that he was still standing in the way of Ned getting his parents back and then proceeding to wonder aloud what would happen to Ned if the kidnappers didn't catch him soon. "I still think we can't do this by ourselves," said Vianna absentmindedly. "I still think we should alert someone in the English or Italian ministry... or something, anything! We can't confront the kidnappers alone - and we're going to have to do it at some point in the future. We can't run forever."

Ferris nodded, "I agree. There's no way we can keep holding them off forever. It just won't work." He looked at the surrounding park, watching the few families still out and the birds flying across the sky. "But, your brothers are completely against it, aren't they? There's no way we'll ever be able to get them to agree to alerting the ministry. Besides, why would the ministries ever believe a bunch of teenagers?"

"Oh, I dunno." Kayla said, shrugging. After a moment she looked at Vince a lot more seriously. "But, you know, I think I really like you, Vince." Her voice was delicately flirty as she looked at Vince. It was merely to see his reaction, and she had to keep a smile from her face.

Vianna tilted her head slightly, resting it on Ferris as the boy expressed his agreement to her suggestion, mentioning that her brothers seemed to be completely against the idea and that the ministry probably didn't have any good reasons to believe a bunch of teenagers. "Well, I haven't really talked to my brothers about it much... they just kind of dismiss the idea without even thinking about it," she said with a sigh; she was used to her brothers not really paying her much attention when she talked by now. "And perhaps the ministry won't believe us, but what could we lose with trying, y'know? And besides, if our parents get involved, I'm sure the ministry will find it easier to believe us then."

Vince grinned triumphantly as Kayla seemed not to be able to come up with anything that proved him a gullible boy. He looked around the rather empty street absentmindedly, wondering vaguely where Kayla and the others had gone to eat before returning his gaze to the girl as she spoke again. His eyebrows rose as she shared that she really liked him, and he then chuckled. "Yeah, I know," he said, an arrogant smile coming to his face. "But you're a girl, I understand. It's impossible not to like me," he continued with a sigh. "I don't even know how I do it..." He looked off into space, completely fascinated by his own charm - or at least that's what he thought he had.

Ferris gently stroked the girl's back as she rested her head on him, letting out a small sigh as she said she hadn't spoke to her brothers about it very much. And even if the ministry didn't believe them, there was no point in not trying. "I think you're right, Vi," Ferris said with a slight nod. "But until your brothers are on board with it, we have little chance of getting anywhere near a ministry." He took a handful of marshmallows, keeping one arm around Vianna and using the other to feed himself small marshmallows.

Vianna grinned as Ferris approved of her idea, then proceeding to explain that they probably didn't have much chance of getting near a ministry as long as the Vincenzi boys didn't agree to the idea. "And who said we had to go by what they say?" said Vianna, sitting up suddenly and turning to Ferris with a raised eyebrow. "We could just go ourselves!"

Kayla's face went back into her smirk, and she shook her head. "Vince," she sighed. "That, really, shows how gullible you are. I mean, I didn't actually mean that. I just wanted to see if you were as gullible as I think you are." She said, smiling.

Vince returned his gaze to Kayla as she explained that she had actually been lying in her earlier statement, that she just wanted to check if he was really as gullible as she thought he was. "Oh I get it," said Vince, the smile returning to his face. "Now you're in denial; you just admitted your true feelings, but you're scared of rejection, so you're denying it." The boy sighed and shook his head. "It's okay, Kay, I completely understand. But there's nothing to fear, really, I won't reject you if you ever wanna snog. Unless, of course... you didn't shower that day or something. Being French, and all."

"Vianna..." Ferris said in a slightly accusing and warning tone as the girl suddenly turned to him and suggested they go to the ministry themselves. "Are you aware of how many reasons Victor has to hate me? 1. I'm seriously dating his little sister, 2. I told said little sister about the whole Ned thing," he listed off, when he was reminded of something. "Oh, that reminds me, don't let Victor know I told you that...he told me not to tell you," he added quickly, as though what he was saying wasn't very important. "And 3. I'm the all-around pain in his butt. Now, I wouldn't care about any of this really, except for the fact that he's keeping me from potential death."

"Oh, that's right." Kayla said. "This is why I hang out with Vianna." She said to Vince, what he said not bothering her, simply because she didn't believe a word of it. "But you know, Vince, sweetie, nothing compares to your undoubted feelings for me."

Vianna went into a fit of giggles as Ferris began listing the many reasons why her oldest brother hated him, warning her not to tell him about the whole Ned thing somewhere in the middle of it all. The young girl watched Ferris with a smile before insisting, "But, Professor! Imagine we get to the ministry and solve this whole thing with the kidnappers; he won't have reason to hate you! You'll become a hero!"

Vince frowned slightly at Kayla. "What feelings?" he asked. "Oh, you mean the whole I-wanna-snog you thing? Yeah, I figured I was being pretty obvious," he said thoughtfully, obviously not catching the sarcasm in her voice. Not that he ever was able to tell sarcasm apart from reality, anyway.

Ferris smiled down at her lovingly at the sight of her in a fit of giggles, happy to know he caused it, and leaned over to kiss her cheek gently. "No way, Vi. Even if I saved the entire planet from the apocalypse, he would still hate me," he disagreed as Vianna pointed out that they might be able to solve the whole thing with the kidnappers and he would be the hero Victor wouldn't hate. "The only way he could possibly ever tolerate me is if I found you a nice Italian quidditch player, and the odds of that happening is an absolute zero. Trust me."

Vianna laughed lightly as Ferris disagreed with her, explaining how her brother would still hate him even if he saved the world from the apocalypse, then saying that the only way Victor would ever like him was if he found her a nice Italian quidditch player, which didn't seem likely. "Oh c'mon, Professor, my brother's not that bad!" she said, her features still amused. But she then realized just how absurd her words must have sounded and shook her head slightly. "C'mon, Professor, I thought I was finally getting you to have a sense of adventure! Besides... the kidnappers would be completely disoriented if they find out that the group has divided, it'll be even harder for them to find you!"

Ferris had gotten another handful of marshmallows, eating them one by one when he heard Vianna say her brother wasn't that bad. His eyebrows rose and he let out a chuckle, finishing off his handful of marshmallows. He looked over at her with uncertainty in his eyes as she tried to convince him to go, saying she thought he was finally getting a sense of adventure and that the kidnappers would be disoriented if the group divided. "I really don't think it's a good idea going alone Vianna," he said a little more firmly, for once trying to stand his ground. "The entire group needs to stay together."

"Jeez. Just don't worry your brain about it. Lets just go get that food." Kayla said. She didn't see the point in saying much else to the boy. But this was, once again, a show of Vince not seeing her sarcasm.

Vianna listened as Ferris opposed her idea and nodded her head, apparently not bothered. "Okay," she said with a smile before adding, "Then we'll convince the others tonight!" She flashed Ferris a cheery grin and snuck her hand into the bag of marshmallows only to find there were only about three or four left. Her brows furrowed slightly and she looked down at the bag, only to find a very fat little Fluffy standing beside it with another marshmallow in his little hands.

"Huh? What?" said Vince, his expression turning confused as Kayla suddenly went off on him. But he didn't pay it much attention as the girl then mentioned the food he was desperately looking forward to.
