This is a continued role-play created by hazydazy012, the other thread reached posting limit. From the previous thread:

One year at Hogwarts a mysterious spell was cast that not even the professors can undo. You wouldn't be able to see a difference at Hogwarts, just looking at the school, but it actually made magic impossible! Not a single person or creature could cast a spell while in the school. How are the students supposed to learn when they can't try out the new spells? Sure, most were devestated, (Especially the 7th years! How are they supposed to finish their last year?!) but of course, some were estatic too! Who doesn't want to have a longer summer vacation? So, most students go home in high spirits TWO months before Hogwarts was officially supposed to be let out for summer break. Only one week into their luxuriously long holiday, every student recieves this letter:

"It is mandatory for any students who want to complete their year to attend "La Bacchetta Magica", a summer learning camp for wizards located in a small getaway near Tuscany. You will be finishing up the studies that were unfinished at Hogwarts. Please bring your wand and other necessary items for regular classes."

Fantastic. Some are angry, but most are excited! I mean, it's called "The Magic Wand" in Italian, for goodness sakes. It's gotta be fun. And guess what?! It is! Everyone is having a great time with the mix of school and just plain summer camp fun! How will the Divinations in the morning and campfires at night affect the students? You decide!

Please join! There will need to be a few professors/camp counselors! Even number of boys and girls, please. Post a bio with a picture, thanks!

(P.S. I looked up "La Bacchetta Magica" and it told me "The Magic Wand" but it was only an online translator. If I'm wrong, then whoops! Heehee)

Vianna's brows furrowed slightly. There was something strange about this town, almost all the shops seemed sort of... abandoned? There were no lights inside and the front windows were covered with thick layers of dust. She wondered vaguely when it was the last time this place had seen any tourists - if ever - before something caught her attention. "A restaurant!" she announced with a smile, pointing ahead at a very tiny little restaurant not too far down the street. But, like all the other shops, it almost seemed abandoned. However, as the couple got closer, Vianna was able to tell the place was actually in business as the door was wide open waiting for guests to come in.

Ferirs smiled slightly as she spotted a restaurant up ahead, obviously excited about it, and he turned his line of sight to see an old building with a door open waiting for customers. He walked with Vianna over there, keeping his spare hand in his pocket as they crossed the street and headed over towards the restaurant, his growling stomach his main driving force.

With an excited grin, Vianna walked into the small restaurant. But then her grin fell and her expression turned blank with some bewilderment in her eyes. The place was empty except for two other people, and like everything else in the town - everything was covered in heavy layers of dust. Did these people never clean or something? Vianna was distracted from her thoughts as an elderly woman came to them and led them over to a table by the front window. With a small towel, she wiped the dust off the seats and tables - sending large clouds of dust to hover above their heads - before gesturing the teenagers to sit with a polite smile on her elderly face.

Ferris seemed to have a similar reaction as Vianna, his eyes roaming the small, dusty room with slight surprise. This town obviously hadn't seen much foot-traffic since...the 1800's was Ferris's guess. He followed the elderly woman over to one of the table, watching as she wiped off the dust, only to send it up at the couple. Unable to help himself, the boy let out a small sneeze and gave a sheepish but polite smile to the elderly woman. "Thank you," he said before taking a seat on one side of the table and releasing Vianna's hand.

Vianna sat opposite Ferris and gave the elderly woman a grateful smile as she handed them each a menu. The girl turned to Ferris and have him a brief smile before lowering her gaze to the menu. Her brows furrowed slightly as she went through the - as expected - dust-covered pages. She wiped one of them to be able to see what hid beneath the thick layers of dust and glanced up only to find that the elderly woman was still standing by the table staring at them. Vianna gave her an awkward smile. "Erm... I--I don't think I'm ready yet," she muttered, somewhat uncomfortable with being stared at so intently.

"Oh that's alright, take your time, dears," replied the woman with a friendly smile, though she remained rooted to the spot.

Ferris opened his own menu and was greeted with yet another layer of dust covering everything. Wow, this had to be...unsanitary. He quickly wiped off one side of his menu, reading down the now visible things, but he was soon aware of a presence a little behind him. He looked up as Vianna spoke to the old lady who was apparently still there, though too far behind Ferris for him to see. With slightly wide brown eyes, he watched Vianna speak, telling the woman that she wasn't quite ready. And the woman responded nicely enough...But she was still there. He could sense her presence and it was kind of freaking him out. Cautiously, the boy turned in his seat to see the elderly woman staring at them as if this was the most casual thing ever. "Uh...Could I get some water, please?" he asked of her softly, rather desperate to not be watched.

"Oh, me too!" Vianna quickly added with a smile. Water sounded like a good idea, and for some strange reason all this dust actually made her rather thirsty. The elderly woman flashed the couple a smile and nodded her head before walking away at a sluggish pace. Vianna watched her go for a moment before returning her eyes to the menu, though there was the slightest hint of an amused smile behind her lips. "Have you found anything that interests you, Professor?" she asked the boy in front of her.

Ferris watched the woman walk away for a moment, turning back to Vianna with slightly widened eyes and a soft amused chuckle. He looked back to the menu as she asked if he knew what he was getting, "I'll just get a sandwich or something," he said before putting his menu up on their table so he could privately talk with Vianna. "Was it just me or is that old lady extraordinarily creepy?" he asked her softly, slight amusement in his eyes.

Vianna nodded her head as Ferris shared that he would get a sandwich or something like it. The girl decided she would have the same, as the strange behaviours and lack of sanitation in the town were making her lose her appetite. She looked up from her menu as Ferris continued, now asking her if the old lady was extraordinarily creepy. Vianna bit at her bottom lip to keep from laughing; the place was frighteningly quiet and she felt even laughing might be a little inappropriate. "Yes, she's a bit... odd," replied the girl, though she couldn't help but feel somewhat pitiful for the old woman. It probably wasn't often she got to see many people around here. "But what's even more creepy is this place overall... all the shops look just like that inn we're staying at - old and abandoned!" she continued with furrowed brows, intrigued by this unusual new environment.

Ferris smiled slightly as Vianna agreed that the old woman was a little odd, before adding that the entire town was strange and abandoned. "Yeah, I know what you mean," he agreed, looking around at the near-empty restaurant. He let out a small sigh before returning his eyes to the girl before him, "But...It's a pretty remote location. You've gotta give Victor that," he said with a small smile and a shrug.

OOC: Off for a half hour or less!

Vianna chuckled softly at Ferris's last statement. "Yeah, I doubt the kidnappers would think of looking here," she muttered absentmindedly. But then her brows furrowed - the place was so strange, so abandoned, so old... that it seemed like an obvious place to hide. Maybe the kidnappers would think of looking here! Vianna's eyes widened slightly. But she then shook her head. No, the kidnappers didn't even know if the group was in England or not. They wouldn't know. She tried to convince herself of this as her eyes returned to the menu just as the old woman returned with two glasses of cool water.

Ferris was looking down at his menu during Vianna's minor freak-out, so he didn't catch the beginning of it. But he was forced to look up as a glass of water was sat in front of him and he could only glance at Vianna for a moment before turning his eyes to the old lady. "Thanks. Could I get the ham sandwich, please?" he asked her, handing her the menu and attempting a polite smile, not wanting to offend the innocent old lady.

"Oh, of course!" said the elderly woman, beaming at Ferris as he made his request, as if this was the biggest compliment she had received in a long time. The woman then turned her head to Vianna and asked, "What about you, dear?" To which Vianna responded with a, "Same, please." The elderly woman nodded her head and walked away at her sluggish pace, her bones too old and weak to allow her swift movement. Vianna watched her go for a brief moment before turning her attention to the glass of water resting in front of her. The girl took it into her hand hesitantly and examined it for a moment. She didn't want to be a snob, but she couldn't help finding it hard to trust the sanitation in this place. Once she felt the glass and water were safe, the girl proceeded to take a sip from it.

Ferris, on the other hand, had returned his brown eyes to Vianna the second the elderly waitress had left, analyzing her from across the table. He could've been wrong, but for that one moment when he had looked over at her she seemed...scared? Maybe...More like...apprehensive. But he didn't want to interrogate the girl on her own feelings, so he didn't speak yet, simply observing her for signs of stress. He took a sip of his own water, not bothering to test it out as he was sure it was fine now that Vianna was drinking it.

Vianna placed the glass back down on to the table after taking a few sips from it - she was thirstier than she had known - and glanced up at Ferris only to find the boy examining her through brown eyes. The girl stared at him blankly for a couple of seconds before blinking and reacting. "What?" she asked him, a wary smile coming to her lips.

Ferris smiled slightly as she caught his constant gaze, sitting up slightly and setting down his glass of water. "Are you alright, Vi?" he asked her, resting his elbows on the table as he watched her from over the small, dusty table. He took another sip from his water, once more not wanting to make the girl feel like she was being interrogated, but he was starting to realize just the amount of wear this journey was taking on his girlfriend. And he didn't particularly like it, at all.

Vianna's brows furrowed slightly at Ferris's question; when had she become so easy for the boy to read, as if she were another one of his books? "I'm fine," she said with a nod, her gaze on the water for a brief moment, as she felt a little uncomfortable meeting Ferris's constant gaze. But she looked at him again and asked, her eyes narrowing slightly and curiosity resting on her features, "Why do you ask?" She wondered what exactly had given her away and hoped Ferris would let her know.

Ferris gave a small nod as she told him she was fine, the response he had expected. Either he had over-analyzed her expression, or she didn't find her troubles to be big enough to share, but he didn't press her for an answer. He started to take another drink from his water when the girl asked why he had asked such a question, and he thought for a moment, setting down his glass as he thought for a moment. "I-I....Well, I just, looked over at you and you seemed....I don't know, a little freaked out for a moment," he tried to explain to the best of his ability. He felt a little bad, calling her out on a small moment that she probably didn't want to talk about, if he had even read her expression correctly. "I didn't mean to, press or anything, I was just...I don't like seeing you upset. It's my instinct to ask," he explained with a soft, sheepish chuckle.

Vianna listened quietly as Ferris explained, and she gave him a warm smile. "That's alright, Professor. I understand," she told him with a nod, amused at how much attention the boy paid to the movements and expressions she wasn't even aware she was making. "I really am fine, though, I just thought... well, I was a little wary about the water," the girl muttered sheepishly, hoping Ferris wouldn't see her as a stuck-up, arrogant snob for this. She gave him a weak smile.

Ferris couldn't help but laugh as the girl explained that she had just been a little wary about the water that the woman had handed her, amused by the real reason behind Vianna's expressions. "Yeah..I was a little concerned myself...But it seems to taste fine, so my guess is that we'll live," he replied with a small smile, glad to know that bigger problems weren't on Vianna's mind right now. He leaned back in his seat, gazing around the small restaurant with slightly interested eyes, wondering when it had been built and if it had ever been a popular destination.

Vianna chuckled softly along with Ferris as the boy laughed, apparently amused by her response. She nodded her head as he told her the water tasted fine and they would live, now feeling a little silly about her earlier paranoia. As he glanced away around the restaurant, the girl looked down at the menu the elderly woman had not collected back from them. She flipped to the last page where there was a small paragraph dedicated to the history of the restaurant. Vianna's eyes widened and she looked up at Ferris again. "This place was built in the early 1930s!" she informed, quite fascinated by this bit of information.

Ferris's eyes returned to Vianna as she spoke, informing him that this restaurant had been built in the early 1930's. "Really?" he said, raising his eyebrows slightly as he sat up a bit. He looked around once more, now analyzing the place for any signs of authentic '30's features. Looking around, it was rather easy to see the small vintage-like parts to the restaurant that were usually looked over without a though. "Hmm..." he mumured, "What else does it say?"

Vianna nodded with a smile as Ferris expressed his own surprise. Though she was a bit surprised, she expected the place to be a lot older - centuries older, actually. Almost like Hogsmeade; this was Europe, after all, and centuries-old buildings were nothing unusual. The girl then glanced back down at the menu in her hands and quickly began going over the paragraph she had been examining earlier. "It says it was especially popular during the fifties, when this part of the city was one of the most popular tourist spots," she said with a faint smile. "I wonder what happened that scared everyone away, though..." she muttered thoughtfully to herself, scanning the page for anything regarding that, but of course, this was a restaurant menu, not a history book and there was nothing about events that might have driven tourists away on this page. But Vianna snapped out of her thoughts as the elderly woman arrived and placed a plate before her with shaky hands before then placing another on Ferris's side of the small table.

Ferris listened, leaning forward slightly on the table, as Vianna read off that this restaurant was especially popular in the fifties, when it was a popular tourist destination. His eyebrows rose slightly at this, not having expected that, but he was curious as well as to what could have brought this place to be so deserted. He was distracted from his thoughts as the little old lady set down their plates, and he gave a polite smile before thanking her and turning to his food, the main priority on his mind being his stomach.

"Thank you," said Vianna as the elderly waitress placed her plate on the table. The woman smiled at the two teenagers and gave them a brief nod before walking away. Vianna then cut a small piece from her sandwich and set it aside before beginning to eat from the larger piece. Fluffy knew what this meant and immediately began devouring the piece the girl had set aside for him.
