The term has ended and now you’re stuck with two months of summer stretching before you. Freedom from essays, from potions, from star gazing. Now you can stay up late and go to bed early. You’re away from all the Professors who are crazy in love with each other and now it’s all about what YOU want to do. Or rather… what your parents let you do. School’s out for summer!

This takes place after Term 10 in the SS School RP. The term has ended so this is a way to play out the summer longer than available in Diagon Alley, and as a way for the graduated students to have a place to play. This is invite only, so if you haven’t been asked to come in, chances are you can’t join. If you have an idea for any characters that should be invited back, let me know and I’ll consider them. I can’t think of everyone, after all.

Naturally, the Rules follow SS Rules and you still have to use literacy (a major pet peeve of mine, really) We follow the School Plot, but I’m sure the most of you will be able to handle that. Anyone invited who plays a shop keeper or a helper will play them in here (as long as you wish of course) and if anyone would like to fill an empty spot, please do let me know.

Sighing, she ran a hand through her auburn hair and sighed. Glancing at the door behind her. It seemed she could only make matters worse. It wasn't her fault. Some people were just meant to be screw ups.

The fact that now Jamie wasn't even facing her only brought the news closer to home. She was definitely a screw up. Always saying the wrong things. Always doing the wrong things and an apology wasn't good enough already but she had meant it. She was sorry. What else was she supposed to do?

"Why do people apologize then?" She retorted. "If it isn't to say that they're sorry? That they regret saying or doing something that has caused pain to someone they care about? If you won't accept my apology then that's just fine just let me know if you want me to stay or not. I'll floo back home and get out of your view."

She shook her head at the lady in the chasier, unaware that she probably wondered what she meant about flooing back home. Bucky wasn't in the mood for anything with caffeine or, food or drink or for anything actually.

Jamie shook his head and turned away from the chashier to Bucky. "No," he said. "It's not that. I just need to think more and stop being so stupid." His voice came out in a mumble, and with his height and voice, one would think he was more like ten than nearly thirteen.

"I'm sorry for always messing up," he sighed. "I just don't want you to apologize to me because you feel guilted about it." He'd rather she apologized for truly sorriness, and he was fairly certain she was doing it just because she felt guilty for treating him like that, because he always was messing up.

Messed up? He didn't mess up seeing as he hadn't even done anything for it to be "messed up" in the first place. Shaking her head she turned to the cashier lady a sour look on her face.

"Well? What are you waiting for? Where's my milkshake? And make it extra thick."

She huffed then glanced at Jamie over her shoulder, an eyebrow lifted in curiosity.

"I won't be accepting your apology by the way, seeing as I have no idea what in cheeses are you talking about."

"Peony! Nikki!" she gasped. She didn't know if Xavier would even remember Peony, let alone the Slytherin girl, and she probably didn't realize how badly her bouncing in the seat rocked the boat.

"Nope, nothing illegal," Xavier said, smiling. "I'm not at school anymore, I'm a law-abiding citizen for the most part. I do jaywalk occasionally."

He looked to shore. "Do you want to drive up and see them?" he asked motioning to the girls on the shore.

Jamie couldn't stay upset. Especially when Bucky began demanding her milkshake. He closed the distance between them by leaping towards her and throwing his arms around her neck.

"Fine," he said. "Don't accept my apology and I want accept yours," he said, quite amiably, squeezing her perhaps too hard. The cashier blinked a few times before shaking her head and calling the order in.

"I don't like being upset at you, Bucky," he told her.

Suspicion rose in Ashlie's chest, and something told her this was all a ploy to get her killed by her friends. Maybe the god's were punishing her for stealing all those muffins from the Slytherins so long ago. But either way, they were stuck in the middle of the lake.

"You're telling me we're stranded on the lake?" She slumped in her seat. "Tell me you brought extra gas. Pleeeeeeeease?"

She still couldn't get that doubt of her mind that this was at all an accident.

After all, she knew how this boy had worked. Snogging girls left and right. If he so much as touched her with his lips she was screaming.

Most likely.

No! Quite certainly, she reminded herself. You would most definetly scream for all to hear.

Xavier sighed and leaned back, covering his eyes. "I forgot to check," he said. "I figured since it was a resort they checked all those things."

Many thoughts were going through his mind. He was stuck out in the middle of a lake with Ashlie, with no apparent way to get back to shore. She was fun, but he still didn't know her all that well, so it was kind of awkward.

But he had a slight feeling to uncover his eyes and he did. He looked to the right and there, on the floor of the boat were two oars.

"Oars," he said, bending down and pulling one or two of them up. He had taken a rowing class at a Boy Scout Camp so many years back. Would he still remember how to row?

Bucky eyes were fixed on the cashier. She hadn't moved a finger to obey her order. If she didn't move in five second she would demand to speak with her supervisor. Awfuly service they had in these muggle shop thingums. She didn't get the chance to react though for Jamie had unexpectedly thrown himself at her.

Shocked for a few seconds, Bucky held her arms by her sides, stiffening as she did so. Recovering quickly, she patted Jamie's back softly, and wince slightly as he squeezed harder.

"Me neither," she wheezed and squinted for some reason. "But...not so hard."

Maybe he'll get it. Maybe he'll realize he was squeezing her to death.

"Oars," Ashlie repated flatly, staring at the peices of wood. She'd never rowed a boat. Never worked a boat. Never had to. This was probably only the second or third time she'd even ever been out on a boat.

"This is all a plot, isn't it?" she asked skeptically. "Trying to get back at me for everything I did back when I was a Prefect." She crossed her arms over her chest. "Wasn't my fault you thought you were a Casanova and had the snog the entrie female population of Hogwarts."

She groaned and leaned back. "We're stuck."

The cashier had taken off to towards the milkshake machine, working on their requests while Jamie squeezed away on his friend, making an odd cooing noise as Bucky patted his back. That meant they were all good, he knew.

He released his grip as she suggested and pulled away, beaming. "So, you still wanna do that dance thing?" he asked, eyes bright and happy.

It could be fun, he was sure of that. They'd dance dance dance and eat lots of food and maybe even bring Ashlie here. She needed more friends anyway.

"You're going to get the cocolate bag?" said Nikki, raising an eyebrow. "All the more reason to why I should not let you hit her with a spell." she answered.

Then she heard her name called out by Ashlie. "Oh my god, she remembers me!" she said, happiness filling through her. Then she waited, watching if she was coming back or not, but the boat seemed to be standing still.

She turned to Peony again. "You know, if I were her, I'd have jumped into the lake and been swimming towards us right now."

She flapped her arms, flailing as she urgged him to row faster. Her shirt was already stuck to her back, she'd have to do a freshening charm or something. Seriously, she hadn't intended on this at all. Next boat ride would be at night, regardless, she'd decided.

"Of course I remember," she said. "I had to hunt you down all the time. McSnoggenhassen." She paused for a moment, eyebrow arched yet again. "Romanceless for good cause?"

She chuckled highly amused by Jamie's cooing. At times he didn't act like a boy, in fact, at times he didn't act like he was human at all. She took in deep breath, smiling gratefully at Jamie. He wasn't so daft after all.

"Dance?" She asked and mourned a bit inside.

She wasn't much of a dancer but she'll give it a shot but only because it was Jamie. Don't get any ideas about her liking to dance. It's not true.

"Sure, why not," she replied with a genuine smile and nudged Jamie playfully with her shoulder.

Oh, there was lots she could say. Stuff like... ah, nothing much. Just went over to Malaysia. Nearly got eaten by a pontianak. Nearly got run over by maniac cars. Got food poisoning. Toyols tried to suck my blood. Things like that.

Oh yes, and her uncle was freaky.

She had done things she wasn't proud of, but then she had also done things she was proud of, like excelling in her job. But for now, she decided to mention neither.

Ashlie used both hands to gently punch her friends. "Shuttup you two," she said in a jovial manner, slightly flushed, as she turned to Xavier and nodded. No one called her Miss Ashlie. Ever.

"You do that," she agreed with him. "Tell him want your money back, plus compensation for my fear, indudced by their boat."

The girl nodded firmly once more before looking at her friends and finally letting out a squeal. "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Oh my god oh my god oh my god it's you two! Oh my GOD Its YOU TWO!"

Her giddiness exploded at an an alarming rate sne slipped both arms around their necks and pulled them into a hug.

When Ashlie finally reached the shore, she stood up, and involuntarily eyed Xavier. It was a habit she had, involuntarily judging on first impressions wether the person was worth Ashlie or not. Wether it was for her friendship or more than that.

Before she could say anything, she was pulled into a rib-breaking hug by Ashlie. She put an arm around her side, and her other arm around Peony's side. "Oh-- wow--," she managed.

The curly haired girl laughed and released her friend before doing a twirl in the sandy "beach", arms above her head in glee, her leg kicked out behind her, swan ballerina style.

"Oh my god this is the best!" she crooned. "Us three, together again, for the summer?" She let out a giddy squeal and bounced up and down. Only person missing was Nick.

Not that they needed him, she reminded herself with a quick scowl.

"So, wow! Us three, randomly coming here. You two together?" It was hard to talk now, her mouth so stretched from her grin.

"Not if I have to share my chocolate with her, she isn't," said Peony, rubbing some feeling back into her sides. She grinned at them both, the three girls basking in the sun which turned their skin varying shades from rosy to gold. "Ahhh, this is nice."
