The term has ended and now you’re stuck with two months of summer stretching before you. Freedom from essays, from potions, from star gazing. Now you can stay up late and go to bed early. You’re away from all the Professors who are crazy in love with each other and now it’s all about what YOU want to do. Or rather… what your parents let you do. School’s out for summer!

This takes place after Term 10 in the SS School RP. The term has ended so this is a way to play out the summer longer than available in Diagon Alley, and as a way for the graduated students to have a place to play. This is invite only, so if you haven’t been asked to come in, chances are you can’t join. If you have an idea for any characters that should be invited back, let me know and I’ll consider them. I can’t think of everyone, after all.

Naturally, the Rules follow SS Rules and you still have to use literacy (a major pet peeve of mine, really) We follow the School Plot, but I’m sure the most of you will be able to handle that. Anyone invited who plays a shop keeper or a helper will play them in here (as long as you wish of course) and if anyone would like to fill an empty spot, please do let me know.

Francesca took the keys and pamphlets from the woman and placed them in her bag she was currently carrying. Her eyes nearly widened when the woman said something about muggle conveniences. Fran had some limited exposure to muggle stuff when she was at home because her parents kept a few muggle things around just for show. Her uncle knew how the stuff worked for some odd reason so Fran was thankful her uncle had taught her a bit about the muggle world. She walked up to the fireplace with some floo powder in her hand and got into the fireplace.

"Whittiker Lake, Cabin Ten!"

She was then walking out of the fireplace of the cabin she was to be living in for two months. She set her things over to the side and started unpacking her things in the room she had chosen. There were two bedrooms in the cabin so naturally Fran chose the one that would appeal to her the most. When she was done unpacking everything, she walked out onto the deck/porch type thing and gasped when she saw the view. Fran was not a fan of sappiness but that view was just awesome. She didn't keep a camera so she couldn't exactly take a pic of the scenery like her cousin did when they went on holiday. She wondered if anyone else had arrived yet that she knew of. Ugh I hope that I have someone to beat up on this trip. I'll go insane probably.

Kay didn't know how long she sat on the top step admiring the view when she realized that she had a letter to write. She stood up slowly and limped back inside, her muscles were still sore from the ordeal several days earlier and the bruises were beginning to fade, but the jagged red scars on her right shoulder and arm were glaring reminders of what happened. She knew what she was looking for and soon, she sat down at a small writing desk with her self-inking quill and the scratching sound of the quill meeting the parchment broke the silence in the cabin.

The letter was to Elijah and was quite simple: she told him she was out of the hospital wing (but did not tell him of her injuries nor what happened), that she hoped his training was going well, and that she missed him terribly. At the end of the letter, she named the place where she was and that she hoped to see him soon. Kay folded the parchment once she signed her name and sealed it with blue wax. "Artemis, I need you to deliver this letter to Elijah," she said as she tied the letter to her tawny owl's leg. The owl gave a soft hoot and ruffled its feathers in acknowledgement before flying off to make its delivery.

A puff of dust came from the fireplace and a young man, probably about 20 stepped through the fireplace. He coughed once, covering up his mouth and looked about the room. Above the fireplace was a muggle painting. They reminded him of back home...but that was a while ago.

The young man walked to the desk. "I am correct to believe that this is Whittaker Lake? If so, I reserved a cabin a couple of weeks ago. It should be under the name of Xavier Davis."

"You'll be in cabin 20 and you might want to read these before interacting with the locals. Xavier listened closely to every word the witch said. It seemed simple enough and it would be a great place to interact with some wizards, while staying in an environment that reminded him of back home.

He smiled and signed the registry, before placing the quill pen back down on the counter and placing the key in his pocket, along with the pamphlets. He knew how to use muggle artifacts, but the rules would be something he needed to read.

He walked over towards the fireplace and pulled some floo powder out of his pocket. He stepped into the fireplace and said, "Cabin 20!" He disappeared in a puff of green smoke.

Jamie merely blinked at his friend, studying her skirt and the hair and all. She looked so much like a girl. Which was too weird. Bucky wasn't that much of a girl. Not in his mind. She wasn't allowed to be. He thought she knew this.

"You need to come in," he said, waving her in." He walked over to her and took hold of the handle on one side of her trunk. "We're leaving here in a few."

There was definetly something strange about the new Bucky. He just hoped it didn't mean she had cooties now and wanted to kiss boys. He'd have to hit her a few times if she wanted to kiss boys.

Ashlie finished setting up all the glasses in their place and sat down on the bar stool at the little bar. She liked the look of the Leaky Cauldron being so empty, as much as she did it being so full. The silence was nice. It'd be great to have a get away at the Lake. Whittiker. The name was quaint. It sounded both Muggle and magical. It made her smile.

Being Muggle Born, she didn't mind Muggles. Jamie, being Muggle Born, she knew, would be well off. However, she didn't know about Bucky. Did Bucky know anything about Muggles?

She glanced up to see Aero coming down the stairs and nodded hello.

"Finally awake, eh?" she teased.

Aero merlely smiled and pulled her mass of red hair up into a knot. "I'll probably be a bit late," she told Ashlie. "Waiting on Tyler. I'll bet he's still asleep anyway." She mused over this quietly to herself, a faint smile on her face.

Yes. Sleeping Tyler wasn't too bad.

A smile drew itself on her lips as Jamie seized one side of her trunk. As if he would be able to drag that thing inside by himself, especially if she was sitting on it. Jumping off quickly, feeling a little oomph in her step today for some reason, she grabbed the spare handle of the trunk and raised an auburn eyebrow at Jamie.

"Well, lift then," she said looking through her reddish bangs. "The last time I checked, super strength was not my secret power."

The boy obliged and attempted a lift at the trunk. It didn't seem to want to budge so much. On Jamie's end, the bottom lifted slightly off the ground, but hardly enough to really move it. He strained, his face going red as his arms struggled to lift the trunk.

It wasn't working.

Jamie wheezed and gasped and let go, falling backwards and rolled onto his back like a turtle, holding the pose for a moment, before his arms and legs collapsed on the ground.

"Maybe we should go in and let Ashlie get it," he decided. "We need to get going."

Celestina let out an exhasperated sigh and dropped the trunk and ignored the heavy sound it made as it made contact with the ground all thanks to Mr. Gravity. She really thought Jamie would be able to lift it just a little bit, after all, she had dragged it all the way to front of this business.

"Well, fine," she said stepping over both overy Jamie and the trunk. "Just as long no one steals my stuff."

She shook her head and grabbed Jamie by the back of his collar and began to drag him inside with her.

'Let's go, let's go. You're being lazy again, Reiss!"

Jamie sat up and pulled himself up off the ground. Bucky was doing the dragging thing again. Sure, he didn't always mind, but merlin, she needed to let him have a moment to regain his composure. His diginity was at risk here.

Except.. Jamie had no diginity. But no one tell him that. He and the Jamie Dance were the coolest things since sliced bread.

"No one saw that," he said, brushing off his pant legs and walking into the Leaky Cauldron with Bucky. "Have you ever Floo'd?" he asked, tilting his head curiously to the side. They hadn't flood very much last summer when she stayed with him; they usually took the tube or something. The few times they HAD floo'd he didn't know if she'd done very well.

"Right," answered Bucky quickly settling into a bad mood.

No one mentioned anything about traveling through Floo Powder. Didn't people send Owl's anymore? Didn't they?!

"I've Floo'ed just fine," she answered, eyes narrowed daring him to say something about the past incidents in which she threw up right after using Floo Powder and that one time she ended up two miles away from their destination.

"Thank you very much now let's get this over with."

A small little choke of laughter caught in Jamie's throat and he dared not look at Bucky as he took charge and pulled her over to Ashlie. He knew she wasn't much of a floo'er, but Ashlie had said if they drove it'd take them two days. And she wasn't about to get stuck in a car with two thirteen year olds (Jamie had to remind her that he was twelve, which merely made her groan).

"Hullo there, Bucky," Ashlie said as she finished preparing the fire. Even she still got alarmed by the Floo Network. Stepping into fire and traveling faster than the world's fastest roller coaster? A favorite pastime of hers, for sure.

Her thoughts were absolutely dripping in sarcasm.

"You want to go first or last or what?" she asked.

Xavier entered the cabin through the fireplace. He stood up, giving a small cough while some dust settled. He brushed the excess soot off his robes and looked about the cabin. It was quite plain, which he liked. It would be a good place to relax, where no one would suspect him of being a wizard, while there were traces of magic here and there. Somehow, he didn't believe most closets that were right in front of the bathroom were walk-in size, but it was of no matter. He didn't expect any muggles to enter his bathroom closet.

He set his bags on the bag and took off his robes, getting changed into muggle garb from back home. He sighed. It reminded him off his childhood, the childhood he had lost. He closed his trunks, leaving the robes inside to be locked there for some time and opened the door, revealing the lake. Ah, it smelled good.

Bucky stared at the ominous fireplace beckoning to her. It was obviously devising her doom. He frown became deeper with each second that passed. What kind of messed up vacation was this?

"Is that some kind of rethorical question?" She spat at Ashlie's inquisition.

First, last or what? Celestina would have much preferred not to even travel through Floo Powder and this idiot is asking her the order of travel---oh..merlin.

Ashlie blinked at Bucky. "Nooo..." she replied. "I really mean, when do you want to go? I'm sorry but we just can't do otherwise. I'm not driving for two straight days."

She stepped aside of the fireplace and tossed a handful of the Floo Powder into the fireplace. "You ready?" she asked.

Xavier walked around outside his small hut, looking at all the details. He also looked around the area. There were not many people, although he could see many cars. They were probably muggles. He smiled and continued walking.

Ashlie bit her lip, both fearing for the girl. Honestly. She knew it was terrifying to go through Floo, but eventually you got used to it.

As used to it as you could.

"Whittiker Lake Cabins," she said, speaking clearly so that Bucky could pick up every syllable and not end up at "Wi-hickle" or something like that. Her stomach knotted tensely. If she lost Bucky, she was dead. "you'll wind up in the Reservation Cabins. Stay there, alright?"

For once though, Jamie wasn't wearing the goofy grin. If anything, he was probably grimacing. If Ashlie wasn't so... old fashioned about the Floo Network, he'd convince her to let him Floo with Bucky. But she thought that that could wind up even more dangerous.

He clutched his hands together in a tight, white ball of fist, clenching his teeth. Don't mess up Bucky, please!

Celestina nodded as her palms began to sweat. Opening and closing her hands in fists she took a deep breath. There was no way she was going to mess this up again. Why must the name be so complicated anyways? Merlin's Beard! Repeating the resort's name in her head she nodded once more and cleared her throat.

"Whittiker Lake Cabins!" she said clearly and loudly, even showing her teeth when reaching the t's just to make sure she didn't end up in the rain forest or something."

Then, there it was. That horrible feelig of something hooking into your belly button and pulling at it suddenly...hard. Celestina shut her eyes, ignoring all the bright colors as she was engulfed in green flames. She hoped she would arrive soon. Keeping her elbows tucked in as instructed by Jamie so many times, Bucky counted in her head to keep herself sane and suddenly landed, face forward against a very dusty rug.

"Never...again," she muttered to the ground and not bothering to get up, if she had arrived at the right place, Jamie or Ashlie would pick her up soon if she didn't then she might as well stay on the ground and await her imminent death.

Jamie watched as the flames engulfed Bucky and the sudden urge to dive after her. He wiggled tensely, watching as she spiraled away before she was out of sight and it was his turn.

"Well," he said slowly. "I'll see if she made it." Jamie glanced at Ashlie's face to see that she was rather worried too.

He walked into the fireplace, feeling the strange tingling feeling he always did when he knew he should be burning up. Then, closing his eyes he cried out "Whittiker Cabins" and found himself lurching up. The feeling always made him feel nauseous, he wasn't good with motion sickness or anything. He sprialed round and round, tucking his elbows in tightly, clinging to himself, before the trip ended and spit him out.

"OOFF!" he cried as he fell out of the fireplace, spitting out on the dusty rug. "What a welcomin- Bucky!"

Finally opening her eyes at a familiar voice, she glanced sideways with her bright green eyes still quite sprawled out on the rug.

"Well, I guess this means I didn't mess up," she drawled pushing herself up with both hands and sitting down on the rug, indian style trying to shake off the dizzyness that still posessed her.

She ran a hand through her aubur hair and inspected the room. It was quite cozy and warm, if those were the proper words. It was like straight out of a muggle traveling brochure. How peculiar.

"Now what?" She asked Jamie pulling out some fuzz out his dark curls.

The boy looked around the little room and realized they had indeed landed in the Registration office. He looked at the woman behind the Reistration desk, poked Jamie, and pointed to her.

"I think we should sit and wait for Ashlie?" he suggested, tilting his head at the woman. "She can talk to that woman and get us where we need to be."

"Sit here?" She asked tapping the rug beneath them and also eyed the woman behind the desk. "Do you think she'll kick us out before Ashlie gets here?"

Celestina didn't like being kicked out of places. It was embarassing plus, where would she go? She was supposed to stay at the lake for the remainder of the summer until school started back up. There was no way she was heading back home now that she was here.

Xavier continued his small tour of the property he would be staying on for the next long while. He defintiely liked it and it had a peaceful atmosphere, if you didn't count the little muggle kids in #11 throwing rocks at their parent's car. They reminded him of his brat co-elementary school students back when he was young. They had all been immature.

He walked down to the water and stuck his hand in. It felt really refreshing.

"Now where in Merlin's beard is that book?" Kay mumbled to herself as she searched about the cabin for the handbook the receptionist gave her. There were too many strange and foreign Muggle contraptions in the cabin and she had no idea how to work any of them. She had been hoping that Elijah would have been there to help her but now she knew that she had to figure everything out on her own.

"Ah, there it is," she said brightly and picked up Zeus who happened to be using the book as a sort of pillow for his head. Kay almost burst out in a fit of laughter as she read the title of the book, A Wizard's Survival Guide to Living in the Muggle World, by Wallscan Spark. "Chapter One: Electricity," she read aloud and plopped down on the couch.
