It's the summer after Helena Crawley graduated from Hogwarts and she's off to America to visit her boyfriend of a year and a half - Chris. So much as happened since they'd been apart the past year, though - will things stay the same? Or will the two fall apart with the addition of their new acquaintances?

"You are just a little bit to excited about this. It's kind of scaring me." Chris said with a light chuckle. "Would I let somebody take you that easy? The true? Yep. I would. I would just stand there watching." He told Lena with shrug like it was no big deal all the while he was joking.

Oh, really? Lena asked, her eyebrows still raised, though she knew full well that Chris was joking. Huh, well, if that's how you feel, let me make it easy for you, she said as she took her hand from his and walked over to the edge of the street to lean on the telephone pole.

Chris stood there watching Lena walk over to the edge of the street leaning on a telephone pole. He took his sunglasses off and hung them from his shirt with a small sigh. "Well I must thank you a lot Miss. Crawley." He said with a smile and a wink before walking forward past the pole not turning around once. Though he was walking slower than he normally would.

Lena turned around to see him walk past her, but it didn't bother her much, seeing as how slow he was going. A small smile came to her lips as she quickly sped to catch up with Chris. Excuse me, she said politely as she laid a gentle hand on his arm and batted her eyelashes profusely. I'm so sorry to bother you, sir, but you see, my boyfriend just left me to get picked up by some hobo and I'd be ever so grateful if I could walk with you....

As soon as Lena come up to him Chris looked at her, and listened to her story. "Sooo he just left you? Geeez your boyfriend is an idiot. How could anybody ever leave someone as pretty as you?" He said to her. "I would love to have you walk next to me." He said as he placed an arm around her. "Your boyfriend wouldn't mind me doing this would he? Or should I ask do you mind me doing this?" He asked with a bit of a sly smile on his face.

Helena made the sort of face she would if she were actually blushing - even though she wasn't. Well, I don't mind, and even if he does, I'm your problem now, she said, her own grin matching his sly one as she pecked him lightly on the lips. Yeah, the people of New York were probably veeeeery confused by now.

Hehe hopfully people weren't watching cause if they were they would think Lena and Chris were weiiiird! But Chris didn't care. It was this goofy-ness he loved. "My promblem. I wouldn't say you were a problem more like a...A gift." He said with a laughed. He felt that peck on his lips and his smile was wide once more. "I think we may have a problem. I seem to already love you." He said with a chuckle.

Awwww.... now wasn't that the most perfect thing any boyfriend could ever say?? But of course, this random person wasn't her boyfriend (heh heh). Uh-oh. Should I just back away slowly or completely run for cover? she asked, only letting her facade falter at the end to grin once more at her own joking with him.

"Hmmm I would back away slowly. That is if I were you. Running wouldn't be a bad idea though." Chris said with a small laugh. "Though I would be heart broken if you left. Though I've only known you for like five seconds. I will remember you forever. Or five seconds. I don't have the best memory." He said with a chuckle as he winked to Helena.

Helena laughed when he said that running would be a bad idea and simply smiled at the rest of his words. Ah, well how about I make it so you don't need to forget me then? she asked with a light chuckle as she took his hand in hers and continued to walk down the street. Yeah, like she would ever leave him.

"Sooo I can't forget you?" Chris asked as a question when he felt Helena take his hand and continued to walk. "Wellll what are you planning on doing so I won't forget you." He asked as a smile crept onto his face. He then leaned down and kissed her cheek. "I could never forget you anyways." He said close to her ear.

A mysterious sort of smile came onto her face at his question, but she didn't get a chance to answer before he kissed her cheek and she giggled slightly, smiling once more at his words. Well, that's a relief at least, she whispered back before leaning up to kiss him lightly once on the lips. And as for what I'm planning on doing, you'll just have to see for yourself, she said with a grin. Heh heh. Take that, Kaplan!

What was up with that smile??? Chris looked at her curiously before he heard Lena giggle. Awww he loved it when she did that! "C'mon on Lena! What are you talking about how in the world could I ever forget you? You are to amazing for that." He said just before she kissed his lips lightly. Yet he loved it when she did that more! "You mean I have to wait!? But I'm tooo impatient for that." He said with a fake whine.

Okay, this time a real blush moved across her cheeks, but Lena smiled at his words at the same time; what a multi-tasker! Yes, of course you have to wait - the best surprises are worth waiting for, you know, she said in a very know-it-all manner before asking incredulously, Haven't you learned any patience at all since you've been away? She grinned once more.

"Your cheeks are all red Crawley." Chris said with a small laugh. He leaned down slightly to kiss the redding spot on her cheek. "I sure did miss that." He told her. "But come onnnn! I don't like waiting! Annnd no I have no learn any patience what sooo ever all the time I've been gone." Chris said to Lena stubbornly. "Welllll guess what. I have a suprise for you too and you can't know what it is so there! You have to waiiit" He said in a slightly mocking (teasing) tone.

Lena's cheeks went a bit darker as he kissed one of them briefly, but she was, once again, smiling at this. Ohhh, I'm sure you'll have enough blushing girls around you here soon, she joked with a light laugh. Ah, well. Might not happen anyway, she added with a chuckle, but at his words she frowned slightly. A surprise? she asked, slowing down.

"Sooo I might have a lot of blushing girls around me soon. But it won't be as cute as when you blush." Chris told Lena. Chris watched as Helena frowned when he said he had a suprise. What was that about? Wasn't a suprise a good thing maybe..."I tell you I have a suprise for you and you frown? What's that about?" He asked her.

Surprises usually mean you spent much too much effort trying to make me happy, while I feel like I never do anything for you.... Helena mumbled without looking at him. In fact, her line of sight went to the ground, her hand getting goosebumps within his. She didn't like him doing anything for her, but especially when she hadn't done anything for him beforehand. She felt like the most undeserving girlfriend ever.

At Helena's words Chris stopped dead in his tracks. He moved so he was infront of her and placed his finger under her chin making her looking back at him. "I can promise you I didn't spend to much effort putting this together. It's just a little date that I thought you would enjoy. And you have done so much for me. You will never know how much you've done for me." He said softly to Lena. He looked deep into her eyes before leaning into kiss her.

Helena just barely glanced up as Chris stopped and she was forced to do so also, but she was soon looking into those perfect eyes again. She gulped softly at his words. A shiver went through her spine at them, but she couldn't help but feeling like it would be short-lived. As he kissed her though, Lena forget all else and kissed him back, despite the lingering fact that they were standing the middle of the street. She wrapped her arms tightly around Chris's neck and was lost within it.

Chris's heart raced in his chest as he felt Helena kiss him back, he felt her arms tight around his neck. He kissed her back not thinking of anything but Lena and how much he loved her. Finally he pulled back to find that they were in the middle of the street kissing. Ooops! But really this was New York who was going to care??? "I love you." He whispered as he gave her a gental squeeze and let go of her once more. "We should probably head onto the subway now." He said still in a whisper.

When Chris finally pulled back from her, Helena had eyes for only him.... at those words, though, she smiled once more, one hand coming up to gently caress his cheek. I love you, too, she whispered back, her eyes still searching his. She chuckled as she realized they were still in the middle of the street and nodded. Of course, let's go, she said quietly.

Chris felt Lena's hand caress his cheek and his smile became even wider. "Alright." He said giving her one more quick kiss on the cheek before taking her hand and leading her to the steps that went under ground into the sunway.

Once down the steps and getting their tickets he went over to a map and started looking at the train they needed to take. "Ummmm." He said as he traced his finger over the map of course he knew but Helena didn't need to know that Hehe! "Looks like we need to take this train and it should be pulling up any second." He told Lena with a small nod.

As Chris pulled her down the steps toward the subway, Lena mentally went over what she knew about them from Muggle Studies, but she still found herself a wee bit fascinated with the setup; she wasn't used to this much Muggle-ness. Errr.... okay, Helena said uncertainly, though she felt much better seeing that Chris looked sure of what he was talking about.... Lena sure didn't!

Chris looked at Lena she looked sooo confused. Awww but she looked cute when she was confused. He kissed her forehead. "Don't worry I know what I'm doing." He said smiling. That when with a loud noise the train they need pulled up. "C'mon." He said grabbing her hand and pulling her through the other bunch of people trying to get on and off the subway.

Once on Chris quickly found a place to sit. He sat down making sure Lena would be next to him. "Sooo you still like it or what?" He asked with a small chuckle.
