Helena smiled into his shirt as she hugged Chris. You're the only home I know, she said quietly looking up at him as he hugged her back. And then he said those three words, the ones she missed, the ones she rarely got to here from him personally anymore. I love you too, she replied, giving him one more small smile and kissing him lightly for a moment. She then hugged him once more. Can I go put on some more comfortable clothes? she asked with a weak chuckle.

"Really?" Chris asked Lena. Though he knew this was probably true. Though her reply made Chris's smile widen and his heart race faster. How he had missed hearing those words from Helena. Her lips were then soon pressed against his. He smiled and kissed her back even if it was only for a moment. "Suurrre you can go change. But you better be quick." He said with a small chuckle as he gave her a light squeeze before letting go of her.

Helena nodded, still smiling as she did so. Then she chuckled at his words. I will be. Promise, she said feeling his light squeeze and kissing him once with equal lightness before picking up her suitcase and heading into the bathroom. Looking in the mirror, she looked exactly like she'd been sleeping on a plane all day.... greeeeeeat.

Digging through her suitcase, Lena paused for a minute and took a breath. Finally, she pulled out a pair of silky purple shorts and a light gray cami. Smiling very slightly, she set her small bag with a toothbrush, shampoo, etc. on the counter and zipped up her suitcase. She set it up against the wall and walked back out into the living room. Hey, she said with a small smile.

Chris watched as Lena walked into the bathroom. His smile was still wide. Goshhh he hadn't been happy like this in a long time! He went over and sat down on the couch waiting for Helena he turned on the tv. looking for something to watch but he actually wasn't paying much attention. Not long after did he hear Lena. "Hey." He said turning around to see Lena. "Lena come here I have a secret." He said in a sort of a whisper and a sly smile. Though he was only doing that to get her to come closer to him.

Helena tilted her head sideways, her slightly disarrayed curls in a ponytail that tilted with her head. Yeah? she said quietly as she walked over to the couch and sat down facing him, her legs folded underneath her. She was watching Chris carefully, not used to secrets. It made her think about Christmas the past year.... something she didn't want to think about.

Waiiiit! Helena thought he realllly meant he had a secret??? Hmmmmm she had been away from him way to long. How did she not remember this was him she talking to. The nineteen year old who acted liked he was six half the time. As she sat down next to him he took her hand and kissed her slightly. "I love you sooooooo much." He said smiling yeppp that's all he had to say hehe!

Helena wasn't exactly taken aback by Chris kissing her - and she kissed back for a moment - but then she chuckled at his words; it figures that was all he wanted to say. Her free hand came up to gently stroke his cheek while the other remained in his hand. When her eyes flashed back up to Chris's, they were green. I love you too, she whispered before kissing him once more, the hand on his cheek moving to his neck as she held herself close to him.

Hehe! Chris smiled as Helena answered him. Soooo he wasn't suprised as Lena kissed him again. As her hand moved from his cheek to his neck he smiled slightly, though his hand moved up to her cheek. He keep this going for a few moments before pulling back. "You thought I was really going to tell you a secret. Like there isn't anything you don't know about me." Wellll actually there might be. But Helena would ask if wanted to know right?

Helena smiled very slightly as she felt Chris's hand on her cheek. When they finally broke apart again, she was still smiling. It widened very slightly at his words. If there is, it wouldn't matter to me in the slightest, she said with truth as she leaned her head on his shoulder comfortably and sighed.

A green to blue light came from a small box, which was placed under Chris's bed. The necklace was revealing itself again, warning yet again that something was not common with her previous owner, Melinda Black, although she had been already claimed dead. So everyone thought that way about her...

Suddenly, the box opened itself, taking around its cord a small bottle of necklace and flying itself into a small pensieve placed aside.

What would it reveal?...only the rightful owner of those memories would know...

"Same with me." Chris said to Helena as he wrapped his arm around her. He felt her head on his should and he kissed her forehead. "Ummm you should probably head to bed soon. You are probably going to fall asleep right here." He said chuckled slightly as he ran his hand lightly up and down her arm.

Chris though he heard a noise coming from his room. What could it be? "I will be right back I thought I heard something." He said letting go of Lena and walking over to his door. He opened it to find....Oh my God not this again. "Ummm Lena...." Was all he could say looking into his room dumbfounded.

Mmmm....? Helena mumbled when he mentioned going to bed. No - no, I'll be fine, she said with a small smile without moving her head, feeling his gentle fingers over the skin on her arm give her goosebumps.... or was it that?

When Chris said he thought he heard something in his room, Lena sat up and let him go check it out, but she was suddenly tense, as if something wasn't right. Then Chris said her name faintly and she got up and walked to where he was standing in the doorway to his room. What's the ma---? she trailed off as she saw the sight before her. She didn't need an explanation to know where this had come from. And she had to accept that. But first the necklace and now this?? Maybe you should look at it, she said, nodding towards the memory.

Chris looked back at Lena as she said he should look at the memory. Gulp. Last time he did that it didn't end pretty. But he had to. "Okay I will look at it." He told her as he gave her a quick kiss on the cheek before turning to the pensieve. Chris walked over to it, took a deep breath and then he stuck his head on the watery substance....

No wonder that memory wanted Christopher into the pensieve itself. It had to show a memory of Melinda, Jade and one third person, who the girl had never recognized in her life, except if she looked, and listened closely. It was Dante, one of her foster parents and it had been a recent meeting among those three. Actually it all had happened a year before Melinda had been declared dead.

An argument happened there, Jade claiming that Dante's harrassment against Melinda was causing enough trouble to make her die soon, something Dante had no pleasure of getting acknowledged of, he needed the girl alive for the next twenty years, at least, in order to complete that destiny he had tried to fulfill for all his life.

Then Melinda's words came. She was in deep disbelief, she looked from Jade to Dante, and viceversa. She felt betrayed...Had Jade known Dante's position all along? It looked like she did...

Chris watched as the memory formed around him. He found himself not a memory of himself with Mel like he had thought. But a memory with Jade and a guy he didn't regonize. He listened as the three talked. Jade said Dante's harrassment against Melly was killing her. Harrassment. It finally clicked in his head who it was. That evil guy who Jade had been protecting Melinda agaisnt.

Chris listened more what did him mean she had to live at aleast the next twenty years? What the hell was this guy up to??? Chris took a look at Melinda and gulped. His heart pounded inside his chest. He knew this was the only way he would ever be able to see her again....But at her words and face she looked like she was in disbelief at Jade. None of this was making sense to Chris why would he need to see this memory???

Helena couldn't bring herself to give Chris even an encouraging smile as he walked over to the pensieve, so she merely leaned against the doorframe after he disappeared, breathing slowly and trying to calm herself down. It was just a memory - that was it. He'd be absolutely fine.... just a memory.... a very long memory. Lena bit her lip.

As the memory continued, some arguments about what should be happening in the next twenty years came, making Melinda more confused than ever. She just couldn't believe how could the only person she trusted more in the world betray her like that, by knowing where the person who wants to hurt her is?...

She left the room, yet didn't take her ear apart from the door, where everything about a heart to come, blood needed...and many things were talked between Dante and Jade.

So...you now see...why Melinda didn't get to talk much to Jade. She still felt hurt from that...

And so the pensieve took Christopher out.

As Chris popped back out of the swirl of memories, Lena quickly made her way over to him and put a hand on his shoulder lightly. She couldn't tell exactly what it had been yet from his expression, so she played it safe. You okay? she asked hesitantly before adding, You don't have to talk about it if you don't want.

Agruments went on. Chris feeling bad. He sort of wished Melinda would have told him about this before she was gone....It sucked actually she looked so confused her and mad at Jade. And there was just nothing he could do. And poor Jade having Mel die when they weren't on the best of speaking terms.....

Chris of course was also in the room as Melinda left but watched as she kept her ear to the door. This time he was closer to her, much closer. He so wished just to take her hand, to hug her, something....But not long after did the memory end and he was back in his room.

Chris looked around confused and breathing slightly heaver than normal. What was that all about? He then felt a hand on his shoulder which made him jump slightly. He had forgot about Helena being there. He turned around and saw her letting out a small sigh. "Ummm yeah I guess I'm okay. It wasn't reall a big deal it was mostly people fighting." He told Lena still trying to figure out the meaning behind the memory as he sat down on his bed.

Chris seemed winded; that was odd. Helena felt bad as he jumped at her touch but she sat down next to him as he sank onto his bed regardless. I'm sorry it wasn't a more pleasant memory, Lena said with a slight frown as she gently stroked Chris's arm up and down thinking.

Chris heard Lena's words and shrugged. "I just don't get it. The whole thing was...." He didn't know how to put it in words. Even if he could Helena most likely won't understand. He felt Lena's soft touch stroking him arm up and down. This made him feel slightly better. "It's not your fault sweetie." He said kissing her cheek slowly and softly.

Helena was still kind of looking at the floor in thought as Chris began speaking, but she turned her head towards him very slightly when she felt his lips on her cheek, but instead of looking at him as she had intended, Chris had lingered. I know it's not. It's not that I'm worried about, she whispered with a small chuckle.

"Well there's nothing to worry about, alright? It was just memory. That's it." It killed Chris to say this but it was true. Melinda was only a memory to him now. He hated to admite that but that was what it was. He still loved her to pieces yet it was different now. And just seeing her brought back those feelings for her ones again.....How he wished to just see her one more time to actually say good-bye but this will never happen.

Helena knew that it was hurting Chris to see Mel again, but she couldn't help but be a little offended at his sharp words. Okay then, she said quietly as she dropped her hand from his arm, stood up, and walked over to the window. She leaned lightly on the frame and crossed her arms so that she could rub them lightly, fighting back the slightly empty feeling that was coming back.

Greatttt there he went again hurting Lena. Smart one Chris! He looked up as Lena walked over to the window staring out it. Sighhhh. That wasn't a good thing. He also stood up and walked over to her. Chris wrapped his arms around Helena's waist from behind. "I'm sorry Lena. I really shouldn't have answered like that. And you don't deserve me being like that. There is no excuse. I've played the Mel card one to many times." He said softly and honestly. He really didn't like act like that to Helena....
