Tariana stopped braiding and reached up to rest her hand on Jacob's cheek. She lowered her voice so only he could hear, "Jake, what do I have to do nearly every day that involves an adventure outside?" There was still hope that she could sidetrack him. Her thumb stroked his cheek, moving down to run across Jacob's lower lip. Tease. Bahaha. That might just work!

Jacob shivered, probably in delight, she was teasing him now! GAH! He grabbed her hand and brought it down from his face, "Seriously Tari, I know that. But that doesn't take you all night. That takes like 10 minutes tops."

Tariana smirked as Jacob shivered. She had to bite back a snicker; it was too funny that she could oh-so-easily drive him insane. "Not if I'm really thirsty," she murmured, her hand moving back up to trace Jacob's left eyebrow. "Besides, who says I was gone all night? Can't I go for a run when I want to? You know I don't sleep well." She traced the sharp line of his jaw with her index finger.

He groaned, "Tari, are you trying to kill me?" he asked, another shiver going through him. He had to drop it, for now. She wasn't getting away so easily though.

Tariana snickered; it was too easy to get in Jacob's head. "If I am, will you be disappointed?" She took his hand into hers and kissed it. Win! He had dropped the topic; for now, at least.

Jacob rolled his eyes, "I think I'm going to have to answer 'yes' to that one." he replied in a teasing manner. Might as well make her feel comfortable, he could get it out of her later.

"Would you miss me if I killed you?" she asked teasingly. Turning back to her book, she pretended she didn't care. She hoped he would, even though she would never kill him; she loved him too much for that. Love. That's all she felt towards Jacob. She couldn't help but smile at the thought of it. But would she ever tell him that she loved him more than anyone else, that she really wanted to be with him? Jacob wasn't pushing her romantically, and to be honest, it was a blow to her ego. She wanted Jacob to be pushy with her; she wanted that more than anything.

Jacob chuckled, "Hmm, probably, I'd be a little hurt though, you were the one to kill me!" he replied teasingly, scooting close to her and kissing her neck as she read. It was his turn to tease.

Tariana rolled her eyes. "You'd get over it because you would realize how lucky you were to die in my hands, for my face to be the last thing you ever laid eyes on." She snickered, sarcastic. She wasn't concieted like that; she just played it to joke with Jake. Playing it cool, she didn't let it show that she wanted to shiver as he kissed her. She stayed completely still as if nothing were going on. Turning the page of her book, she couldn't focus; she was getting hot, her heartbeat increasing over it's already hummingbird wing speed. But she wouldn't let Jacob see, even if there was a chance he could hear her heartbeat going frantic. She wanted to tell him to stop, that they were in public and people were watching, but at the same time, it would be so hard to say no.

Jacob grunted, not even answering. He chuckled, he could feel her skin warming up and hear her heartbeat going faster. She might be trying to act as if it didn't affect her but he knew it did. "Something wrong Tari? You seem a little flushed." he said teasingly, his hot breath fanning her ear as he whispered it. He nibbled slightly on her earlobe.

"Jake!" she exclaimed, pushing him away slightly. "There are people watching! Keep it rated PG for the kiddies." That was her verbal excuse, but her real excuse was because he was driving her insane and she didn't want him to know it. She was trying so hard to keep her pulse at its regular speed, and to keep the blush from creeping across her cheeks.

Jake chuckled and held up his hands, "It was PG, I think you were enjoying it Tari." he replied, winking. He picked up a piece of toast and bite into it, it felt good that he knew he could do that to her.

"Actually, that was more along the lines of PG-13," Tariana corrected him. "And without parental consent, the first and second years can't see that! Do you think their parents would give them permission to see that public display of affection?" No! She watched him eat and envied his easy manor. She knew that he knew he had gotten to her, and it was driving her so insane that she had to fight back the urge to get violent with him. No one should know when they got past Tariana Zakir's gaurd and actually got to her. Her eyes narrowed at the thought of it.

Jacob laughed, she was so angry with him. He was struck with an idea. "Well, if you'll excuse me, I think I'm going to go lay out in the sun awhile..." he trailed off, standing and stretching, his 6 pack see through his shirt. Laying in the sun meant being shirtless, and he knew she knew that. "I suppose I'll catch you later Tari." he chuckled and winked, heading out of the great hall.

She eyed his abs, trying so hard to keep her cool. It was so hard when he knew he had the upper hand. "Jake, you can't go laying out in the sun like a lizard, it's only January!" Tariana hissed, already following behind him. Her black cloak flowed behind her.

Jake chuckled, he knew she'd follow him. She couldn't resist him or his abs. "Tari, I doubt any of the female population will complain." he replied, winking at a few girls walking by. They stopped and giggled, waving flirtasciously at him. Reaching the lake he stripped his shirt off and layed down.

"So you're concieted now?" Tariana growled, throwing the girls a dirty go-die look. She hovered over Jacob as he took his shirt off and layed down. She crossed her arms, glaring down at him through slitted violet eyes. "Father will not be pleased when he hears about this. Are you dying to get attention? You know I'm more than willing to shower you with attention! Why must you try to gather it from... hum-other people?"

Jake looked up at her, and chuckled, "No Tari, actually I wasn't. I pretty much just got what I was looking for." he smiled at her, deciding to let her figure out what he was talking about. She was a smart cookie, she could do it.

Tariana watched as he spoke, not bothering to return his smile. She gritted her teeth. "Is. This. Your. PLOY. To Get. My. ATTENTION?!" Her hands balled up into fists, her stance one of a predator about to attack their prey. Her vampire side tended to come out more than it should.

Jake stood, "Tariana calm down. More of make you admit I'm getting to you." he placed one hand on either side of her, one on each arm and held her stood. She was strong, but so was he. "And I'll stop my charade, if you stop yours."

"Fine," Tariana spat. "You get to me. You always get to me, Jake. That is what happens when you're in love with somebody; they get to you. You practically own me. You could control me, if you wanted to." After her confession, she calmed down, removing herself from Jacob's grip to go lean against a tree. "I don't know what you're talking about, this 'charade'."

Jacob stopped for a second, he knew she loved him but she'd never actually come right out and said it, he advanced towards her, one arm going around her waist the other hand to the back of her neck he lowered his head and kissed her. The one kiss he'd ever given that was possesive, pushy, yet sweet all in one. Pulling back he leaned his forehead against hers and stared into her eyes. "I think you do. Why can't you just tell me?"

Sometime during the kiss, Tariana's arms had ended up around Jacob's neck, her hands playing with a few strands of the back of his hair. She didn't think that he would take what she had said to heart, but clearly he had. She was slightly disappointed when he pulled back, and her facial expression clearly read it. Her violet eyes pierced into his black ones, and for a moment his eyes reminded her of a vampire; hungry. She shuddered. "It really was nothing, Jake. I went hunting, then went for a run, then went hunting again. I do like having time to myself, you know. I just wanted to be alone to think. I don't know why you don't believe me..."

Jake shook his head, "I'm sorry Tari, it's just you were acting so suspicious earlier. I guess I was confused on why you wouldn't want to tell me you went for a little snack." he looked around. No one was paying attention. Except for like 2 girls, glaring a Tari and a couple guys glaring at him. He turned back to her, he could see the disappointment. "Well, I could kiss you again, but if inside was PG-13, what is it with me standing shirtless, you against a tree, kissing? Wouldn't that be in there too?"

Tariana smiled a small, crooked smile. "I was just messing with your head. If you can get to me, can't I get to you, too? It's only fair." She looked around too, to the different people staring at them in jealousy. Tariana shot the girls a dirty, somewhat frightening look that sent them away. As for the boys, well.... they could keep looking. The guy with curly black hair was cute. "There were young kids inside. Outside is where the older kids are. They don't have to look. They can go play in traffic or something. I don't care."
