Not to mention Jared, Paul and Sam. Her heart strings had been yanked; she missed them all so much. "I miss them too," she murmured, blinking back tears. Katheryn felt her hand being pulled by Tyler and blushed slightly. She found it cute that he sounded worried about her but she blew it off. "I'm ok," she said. She followed Tyler to the table where Tariana and Jacob were sitting and said, "Hi." Turning to Jacob, she added, "Oh. I haven't introduced myself to you. I'm Katheryn, Katheryn Young."

Good for Jacob! He answered right. Tariana pulled back.
"I'm going to go outside; I want bask in the sun," she said as she stood up, grabbed her book and headed for the front door of the school. It had been snowing yesterday but today the sun was shining. The weather was more bi-polar than Tariana was!
As soon as the sun touched her skin, Tariana began to glow, like a light had been turned on inside of her. Her skin was smooth and alight, and she looked even more breathtaking as she son smiled down on her, her hair surrounding her head like a black halo. She walked past several students and down the hill to the lake, where she sat down on a large rock and pulled her knees up to her chest, balancing her book against her legs. Opening the book, she began to read as she ignored the stares of those around her. | |

Katheryn nodded knowingly. She remembered how her first year at Hogwarts was like and how homesick she felt. "Yeah. It can be really tough. You'll get over it, though and fit in, don't worry. Both of you will," she said, smiling at them. She saw Tariana walk past her to go outside and raised her eyebrows slightly. She suddenly realised that Tariana must be feeling something more than homesick. It was odd for a girl to act like that and Katheryn couldn't help but sympathise with her slightly. She looked at Tyler and gave him a look that said, It wasn't your fault.
